Lauded by President Obama, the Pope, 97 world leaders, the UN, hailed by NYC Mayor Bill deBlasio, who declared “Ahmed Day,” media icon and infamous bomb-hoaxer Clockmed the clock boy is going in for the kill… again.
You remember “Clockmed,” aka Ahmed Mohamed. Mohamed took apart an LCD digital clock and stuck it in a box. Resembling a homemade bomb, he brought it to school. He even admitted in an interview with the Dallas Morning News that he put it in a small briefcase because of how suspicious looking it was. When teachers and school administration officials became concerned for the safety of the students, they walked into Clockmed’s trap.

The 14-year old all-American schoolboy clockmaker who didn’t make a clock at all and is the son of a belligerent Muslim activist and perennial Sudanese presidential candidate whose brother runs a trucking company amusingly called Twin Towers Transportation (Mark Steyn).

Nearly one year after 14-year-old Ahmed Mohamed was arrested for bringing a “suspicious-looking” homemade clock to class, his family has filed suit against his former Texas school district, the principal of the high school and the city of Irving.
The lawsuit filed Monday claims that Ahmed’s civil rights were violated in the incident that made the 9th grader go viral last September.
Accusations of racial and religious profiling fueled the hashtag #IStandWithAhmed. Even President Obama chimed in on Twitter, telling the boy: “We should inspire more kids like you to like science. It’s what makes America great.”
The charge — possession of a hoax bomb — was dropped, but MacArthur High School suspended Ahmed for three days.
Citing a pattern of disproportionate disciplinary actions for black students in the Irving Independent School District and a history of anti-Muslim sentiment in Irving, the lawsuit alleges that Ahmed was discriminated against based on his race and religion. It also claims his Fourth Amendment rights were violated when he was interrogated by police and principal Daniel Cummings for over an hour without the presence of his parents before he was arrested.
Ahmed’s family no longer lives in Texas. They moved to Qatar in October. But in June, they returned to Irving for summer vacation. That’s when they hired Hutchinson & Stoy, the Texas firm also representing a Baylor University student who claims the school ignored reports that she was raped by a football player.
Irving ISD and city officials have not yet commented on the suit.
Although a previous demand letter from the family threatened to sue the city and the school district for a combined $15 million, no specific dollar amount in damages is named in this lawsuit.
“I lost a lot of things in my life,” Ahmed recently told The Washington Post. “The number one thing people think about me is that I’m living ‘the life’ . . . But I can’t build anymore. My dad doesn’t have a job anymore. I moved from my house to an apartment. I lost my place for building things. Over [in Qatar] it’s very boring, I can’t do anything. The only thing I can do is use the Internet.”

I am a post-grad degreed engineer, literally into electronics since childhood, and began soldering simple circuits and timers on breadboards with chips, capacitors, and resistors in my early teens.
BUT HERE’s THE DIFFERENCE… I HAD TO BACK UP my “hobby” with MATH GRADES to affirm my “devotion” to the “field of science”, which I acquired through high disciple and many hours of personal sacrifice, eventually winning COMPETITIVE SCHOLARSHIPS (as opposed to “grants” routinely given simply for
being born into a demographic), whereas if my grades (GPA) ever fell below 3.75
on a 4.00 scale, it was “too bad”.
One has yet to hear of “clockboy’s” command of mathematics, AT THE LEVEL OF COMPETITIVE SCHOLARS, beyond dollar amounts discussed in lawsuits. If this kid can’t “back up” his “devotion” to “science” beyond grinning at every accolade received, “facing his folly” would be a far better lesson learned than perpetuating it for the sake of political correctness…

Saw this coming and was waiting for it! Ahmed and his family never had to leave. They had plenty of support in the US and the school district he was in, including Obama. They knew they hit the lotto when Obama responded.
The clock was not an invention, it was meant to do exactly what this family planned Scammmmmmmmmm!

He was sent tens of thousands worth of free stuff and got a settlement after the fact, he is far from poor and this is just getting pathetic. The approach that the lawyer for the school district will be taking is pretty clear: delay, delay and delay, hopefully until Obama is out of office and Lynch gets the heave-ho from the new administration (not that it would be easy to heave her anywhere).
