Two Muslims Arrested with Guns, Ammo and QURAN at Disneyland Paris

Opening fire on children and families in the cause of Allah. How pious.

But keep your head about you. It’s islamofauxbia that’s the problem.

Man detained with 2 guns, Quran at Disneyland Paris
Suspect arrested outside hotel where he had reservation; girlfriend also taken into custody
By AFP January 28, 2016

Story continues below advertisement

A man carrying two handguns, ammunition and a Quran was arrested Thursday at a hotel in Disneyland Paris, and his girlfriend was also held, police sources said.

[the_ad id=”72852″]

The man was “detected upon his arrival at the Disneyland hotel where he had a reservation. Hotel security found two handguns, a Quran and ammunition on him,” said the source.

A separate police source said that the metal detector had rung out as the man passed through.

Police were called and arrested the suspect while they secured his vehicle.

They then tracked down his girlfriend who was also taken into custody.

Papers found on the suspect indicated that he lived in Paris, however no further details were available about him.

Disneyland Paris is situated about 30 kilometers (18 miles) east of the French capital and is the most visited theme park in Europe, with some 10 million visitors in 2014, according to that year’s Global Attractions Attendance Report.

France is on high alert after a devastating terror attack in November saw Islamic State group gunmen and suicide bombers target Paris cafes, a concert hall and the Stade de France national stadium, leaving 130 dead and hundreds injured.

The bloodshed was the second major attack in France within a year, as the country has become a prime target for the jihadist group operating out of Iraq and Syria.

In January 2015, three days of terror gripped Paris as a series of attacks left 17 people dead, including an attack on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo.

France imposed a three-month state of emergency after the November attacks, which President Francois Hollande hopes to extend for another three months, despite fierce opposition from rights activists.

Is there any moderate Muslim out there that can simply logically explain which Quran verses are being hi-jacked, misinterpreted or misconstrued that fuels this evil passion for killing children. Any moderate Muslim please ..

Moderate muslims do not live by the literal word of the qur’an, sort of like other religions, they are more inclined to be heritage and ethnic muslims rather than insane drooling murderers. Tis is easier to understand if you come from a non western background, living in the west tends to modify or replace some beliefs, except in the case of islam which has a violent enforcement agency, which has to be overcome, it can be done.

Yes, and unfortunately, here in the west the secular westernised Muslims provide the soft outer rings of justification of the more devout who provide a protective ring around the radical centre.
So unfortunately it is a problem, in that you cannot punish bad without hurting to some degree the innocent ( children ) as in mass deportations which is the most suitable answer.

Social pressure works very well. In islamic countries, violence keeps muslims lined up like lame ducks. In it west, the fact that errant behaviour will get them immediately deported with appeals only accepted once they return to where they came from, would keep them in line here.

Any muslim who knows anything about their ” prophet” and still is muslim is not moderate. Some only find out what the Quran really says when in the West and then leave Islam in horror such as a Somalian lady in Sweden. She had never known radicalism only in Sweden where Imam forced her to wear burkha and discard her colourful ethnic clothing.
I know ex muslims who turned from Islam in a muslim country realising how absurd it was. They finally escaped to the West and are Christians. Ex muslims are the best source of info.on Islam and they are very scared at the complacent attitutude in the free West they escaped to fearing they might have to flee again soon

I’m not a Muslim, but a Christian born into a nominally Muslim but nonreligious family, and I still live uneasily in a Muslim country. Let me answer your question.

The Qur’an, ahadith and sira all advocate violence against unbelievers and a host of grievous human rights violations. We see the Muslim religion in its original form in ISIS, and it is very ugly.

However, most people of any religion do not rigorously follow all tenets of the faith, and the same is true of Muslims. Attitudes and beliefs are shaped not only by religion, but by other cultural influences. Secular human rights norms, which originated from the Judeo-Christian tradition, do influence Muslims too, especially better educated and traveled ones. And most people do have some natural bent towards kindness, at least at some times and places.

Most people of any religion don’t actually study their scriptures in depth, and that is true of Muslims. Here in South Asia, many memorise the Qur’an phonetically without understanding a word of it. When Muslims do study the Qur’an, one of two things happens. Most become indifferent to the religion or outright lose their faith. A smaller group becomes radicalised and vicious. Unfortunately, it doesn’t take many of those to do a lot of harm.

The US, ostensibly Christian, has been indifferent to children too, and this fuels hatred of the west and Christians–a backlash that we Christians in Muslim countries feel. Consider Mr Clinton’s sanctions on Iraq, which banned water and sewage treatment equipment, antibiotics, vaccines, cancer chemotherapy drugs and even food. According to the UN, these sanctions killed over a million people, half of them children under 5. Yet most Americans did not care. How Christian was that? The US has destabilised the Middle East and allowed jihadis to run wild, and the group suffering the most is the Christians there, whom they have not lifted a finger to help. Yet if you read Matthew 25, you will see that they should.

Muslims are not monolithic, as this Pew Survey proves: http://www.pewforum.org/files/2013/04/worlds-muslims-religion-politics-society-full-report.pdf

The world would be a lot better off without the Muslim religion but it would also be better off if Christians practised what they preach.

True enough.
I don’t agree with sanctions on countries except in the way of banning military hardware and expertise, luxury goods.
I did not know about the sanctions on medicines and such, this is something I detest because it affects the most vulnerable, children, the elderly and patients. Knowing about how these sanctions work and yet supporting them is evil . One development that may help in the war against Islamic groups ( If used by the right people for the right reasons ) is the micro air to surface missile which is capable of taking out very small targets.

Roger, things like those sanctions are not only mortal sins and crimes against humanity, but they fuel hatred of the west and radicalism. In fact, al Qaeda used them in its explanation of why it attacked the US on 9/11 and in recruiting materials. The sanctions did nothing to stop Saddam, who was in any case far better than those who replaced him, but they did radicalise previously moderate Muslims. So it’s not only evil, it’s stupid to do things like that.

Agree but I think that sanctions against Iran in the form of resources (oil and produce ) in exchange for food, medicines, essential technologies would be a fair thing. There is no perfect solution that can be applied from without but I suppose that we If we can’t change the Islamic leadership, ( which will have nukes soon ) then what should be done ?

As you know, Iran and KSA are at each others’ throats, both because of desire for regional hegemony and because of Sunni-Shia hatred. The best outcome would be if they went to war and as a result both governments–the world’s two most noxious theocracies and sponsors of radicalism and terrorism–fell. If the west played its cards right, it could sponsor coups by moderate, secular but authoritarian military officers similar to al Sisi, who rescued Egypt from MBH. Democracy won’t work with radicalised populations, as Iraq has clearly shown.

The fact that you believe we (Americans) are somehow “indifferent” to children because we imposed trade sanctions on a country who threatens the destruction of Israel and America DAILY, shows your blind to your own bias, and have no clue about where responsibility belongs. This is what we call “criminal thinking”. Iran made choices, and Americans and others opposed to their threatening behavior are under NO obligation to trade with them, or give them aid. If Iran wants to ignore international law, and threaten others, they shouldn’t be surprised they have no friends, and the fate of their people is up to them!!! If they don’t like the “indifference” to their suffering, they should rise up, and take back their sovereignty!
Second, it is also laughable that you cite Muslims being upset about the U.S. not caring about children when the FOUNDER of Islam, Muhammed, the HIGHEST example of a man to a Muslim, was a CHILD MOLESTER!!! Muslims currently abuse children and women DAILY, and ENSLAVE women for sex, and give them NO RIGHTS, forcing them into marriages a 5 years old like their False Prophet. Sorry, but Islam is NOTHING but a SICK CULT of child molesters.

I’m sorry, but your moral logic is entirely lost on me. Depriving civilians, a fortiori children, of food, clean water and essential medicines can be justified only by the most evil of minds. As a Christian, of course I find Muhammad’s child rape wicked and inexcusable, but that’s irrelevant. Your reliance on a tu quoque defence is pathetic.

For various reasons outsiders are also now studying the muslim literature for answers to the dangers presented to those they love, and are finding little to become indifferent to.
I appreciate your writing this out, and find your explaination rational and likely. Determining those who become radicalized and viscious is vital but almost impossible to do, before they act.
Seperate from that issue, there is so much more about the faith that is opposed to modern life to a degree that makes those who are not part of the killing still deadly-to modern societies.

The US is not a “Christan country” in the same way Moslem countries are “Islamic.” Good points you bring up–actually a great anaysis. I don’t think a lot of Americans know about Iraq and the genocide against Christians because the liberal and fake-conservative media (much of it Arab-owned and managed), is covering it all up. There was a Jewish man in Canada who was involved in freeing Christian and Yazidi sex slaves. He spoke at 60 churches and got zero interest. Many “modern” Christians and “modern” Jews have essentially apostatized, though they claim the identity still. It matters what people DO, mostly, in response to the Almighty. Thanks again for contributing to the discussion.

Reply to  Shafiq Islam

No. My point has nothing to do with theocracies.

It’s a common mistake, in the post-modern era, for Middle-Easterners to assume America is a “Christian” country as a whole. Maybe you know better.

The truth is, the Left has been working overtime for the last hundred years to destroy the Judeo-Christian ethic and foundations that made the US a country, a place, for Freedom and Liberty. Now? The Left is after License, Unaccountability and Control. They are basically Totalitarians, who rival the worst in the Islamic world (most are their friends…).

I agree that authentic Christians should follow their teachings and the world would be a better place, but government actions against Iraq, for example, have nothing to do with it, as they are put in place by fake Christians, Seculars, or Jews, Leftists, and the Iranian Moslem Brotherhood.

Yes, I understand your point. But my point is that the US is not a Christian theocracy, while it is Christian majority. Similarly, countries such as Malaysia and Egypt are Muslim majority but not theocracies.

Of course cultural values are informed by religion, so the laws and customs of a country will to some degree reflect the predominant faith. Fortunately, most Muslim majority countries do not fully follow Sharia, although it is making inroads. Even in western countries, Muslim sensibilities are prompting changes; this is unwise.

Yet I’d guess that anyone suspected or guilty of “blasphmeny” in ANY of these Muslim ‘non-theocracies’ would face a very long prison sentence or worse – IF they were first lucky enough to survive stoning, burning or lynching at the hands of an ad hoc street mob.
Some things have been around so long they function like a cultural DNA.

Your understanding is very shallow. Saudi Arabia and Iran are theocracies. However, Pakistan and Bangladesh have had women prime ministers. Most Muslim countries permit alcohol, at least for foreigners. Most do not kill adulterers or cut off thieves’ hands. There are no Muslim countries that I admire, but most of them do not fully follow Sharia, and I am glad of it.

Yes, and until Americans realise that KSA is at the root of Muslim radicalisation worldwide and provides the lion’s share of funding for terrorism they will never succeed in protecting themselves. The US State Department admits that terrorism has increased 400-500% since the beginning of the so-called war on terror, yet nobody questions why. Their solution is to just keep doing more of what they are doing in hopes that things will improve, which fits Einstein’s definition of insanity.

Well now there is this:

New York City’s city council is set to dilute a host of criminal laws including laws against public urination and excessive noise because council members believe too many members of minorities are getting arrested.

The New York Police Department already relaxed its enforcement of many quality-of-life laws after years of enforcing exactly such laws led to record lows of crime in the once-much-grittier city, reports The New York Times.

You will never have peace and on this earth as long as the demonic death cult of Islam exists.

Muslims don’t know how to build and create – only destroy and kill in the name of ‘Allah’, their pagan moon devil / imaginary sky fairy.

Regions dominated by Islam are the most miserable, violent and repressive places on earth (i.e., Pakistan, Iraq, Syria, Iran, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia, Gaza, Yemen, … etc … ).

That is why everywhere Islam is in large numbers you either have chaos, misery, violence and strife or a dictatorship.

Islam is anti-progress and stuck in medieval and stone age times. Has a Muslim ever won the Nobel prize in science ?

This intolerant, hateful and violent ideology is truly the enemy of a civil and peaceful society – a scourge and blight on humanity.

Humanity tends toward pro social human-ness as a rule. A nuanced discussion below, is still relevant. An ex-Moslem, now Christian, is discussing the issue of nominal vs. moderate and radical Islamic PRACTICE. True, so many Moslems have no idea about what’s really in the Koran, and go by their societal “team” ID. But then they work to free slaves it captives of ISIS and Al Queda. When people say there is no “moderate Islam,” that’s true. But there are thousands of nominals. These people stay mostly secular in practical ways and don’t identify with the religious or dogmatic radical element. It’s not really part of the discussion of the planned attack on Disneyland by radicals or moderates turned radical, but the such an attack wouldn’t be thought of, planned, or executed by nominals. Hope that clears it up for those who are unfamiliar with the cultural realities. An example: it was Moslems who rescued Lara Logan from the rape fest, and Moslem women stood against the crowd as well. Who are these Moslems? Probably not “devoted” to the realities of Islam, even if they think they are. Obama? Different story. He allows his radical buddies to pillage and enslave Iraq and Syria, while rolling out a golden carpet for Iran.
