Instead of grieving our dead, “Muslim Americans fear demonization of Islam after mass shooting”

148

American Muslims for the umpteenth time are wailing about a fear of [non-existent] reprisals. The blood of American Christians and Jews is still on the floor and the walls of a Christmas party, and they are playing the victim. How savage.

Why aren’t American Muslims mourning our dead? Why aren’t American Muslims using their money and influence to call for an “enlightenment” in Islam, a purge of the Quran and Islamic texts and teachings that call for jihad and genocide?

Obama, Hillary, Loretta Lynch, the media (just look at these articles) — are all groveling before Islam, scrubbing and mopping up after this latest jihad attack, and still it’s not enough. Devout Muslims slaughtered innocent Americans at a Christmas party, and now comes the second wave of the attack — charges of racism (Islam is not a race) and Islamofauxbia.

Story continues below advertisement

The Washington Post laments:

Rabia Chaudry kept her 7-year-old daughter home from her private Islamic school in Maryland on Thursday, fearing anti-Muslim backlash from Wednesday’s massacre nearly 3,000 miles away in San Bernardino, Calif.

If her child goes to Islamic school, why keep they child home? All the children are Muslims, so who will play the islamophobe?

“I think we are all feeling exhausted and very vulnerable,” said Chaudry, a lawyer and national security fellow at the New America Foundation. “I’m angry at those people who did this attack. And I’m angry at how this is being politicized. Everything boils down to, ‘We should fear Muslims. And they shouldn’t be here.’ ”

American Muslims say they are living through an intensely painful moment and feel growing anti-Muslim sentiment after the recent Islamic State attacks in Paris and this week’s San Bernardino shootings, carried out by a Muslim husband and wife.

The motivations of the California killers are still unclear, although authorities are investigating it as a potential act of terrorism. Muslims said they are bracing for an even more toxic climate in which Americans are increasingly suspicious of Muslims.

Robert Spencer writes:

This is a typical “backlash” story, of the kind that invariably appears after a jihad attack or foiled jihad plot. It attempts to deflect attention away from the jihad terror and onto Muslims as victims, their religion unfairly demonized. One bad apple shouldn’t be taken as spoiling the bunch, we’re told. “Two people’s actions do not constitute a whole population’s actions,” we’re reminded.

And of course that is true. But sidestepped here, as is always the case in these weepy creepy “backlash” stories, is the fact that Islamic jihadis can and do point to Islamic texts and teachings to justify their actions and make recruits among peaceful Muslims. No mention is made of the fact that Muslim clerics have been involved in jihad terror activity and have exhorted Muslims from the pulpit to commit acts of violence.

If Muslims really fear “backlash” and the “demonization of Islam,” they should be the first to act against such clerics, and would be working publicly and honestly to reform those teachings. Mosques and Islamic schools would be implementing programs to teach against the understanding of Islam that justifies hatred and violence. But “backlash” articles never deal with any of that — they’re all always just about how Muslims fear reprisal attacks. Meanwhile, FBI statistics show that anti-Semitic attacks are far more common than attacks against innocent Muslims. Yet you never see articles about that.

weeping Muslims

“Muslim Americans fear demonization of Islam after mass shooting,” by Ben Klayman, Reuters, December 4, 2015 (thanks to Darcy):

DEARBORN, Mich. (Reuters) – Muslim Americans fear their religion will be demonized and Islamophobia will spread after a young Muslim couple was accused of carrying out one of the bloodiest mass killings in the United States.

[the_ad id=”72852″]

Across the country, Muslim Americans responded with shock and outrage after a shooting in which authorities said Syed Rizwan Farook, 28, and Tashfeen Malik, 27, stormed a holiday party attended by San Bernardino County employees in California on Wednesday, killing 14 people and wounding 21.

“I was at the gym yesterday while the shooting was taking place and all the TVs were showing that footage and all I could keep thinking to myself is ‘God, I hope they don’t have any Eastern descent, not just Middle Eastern, anything we’d associate with a Muslim’,” said Adam Hashem, 32, in Dearborn, a Detroit suburb with one of the country’s largest Muslim populations.

“We’re all worried. We’re all concerned,” he said.

It was the deadliest U.S. mass shooting since the Sandy Hook Elementary School massacre three years ago. While the motivation remained unclear as authorities investigated the attack, details of Farook and Malik began to emerge. Farook was described as a second-generation American born in Illinois and raised by Pakistani parents. Malik was born in Pakistan and lived in Saudi Arabia until she was introduced to Farook.

San Bernardino police said they found pipe bombs and several thousands rounds of ammunition at the residence of the couple, who died in a shoot-out with police.

In Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the Attari Supermarket bustled on Thursday with customers shopping for Middle Eastern products.

“In every culture and in every religion there are bad apples that will spoil the rest of the apples. That has happened toward us,” said Dawod Dawod, a 25-year-old Muslim American, who manages the store that his family has owned for a decade.

Between taking orders over the phone, Dawod said he was concerned that politicians will use the mass shooting as a way to further demonize Muslims. He noted Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s endorsement of the idea of creating a Muslim database. “It’s scary.” he said. “Ninety-nine percent of Muslims are hardworking, good people.”

Muslim community groups condemned the massacre and urged the public not to blame Islam or Muslims.

“The Muslim community stands shoulder to shoulder with our fellow Americans in repudiating any twisted mindset that would claim to justify such sickening acts of violence,” said Hussam Ayloush, an executive director at the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Within hours of the shooting, his group had organized a news conference with Los Angeles Muslim leaders and the brother of suspected shooter Malik to condemn the assault. The speed at which they went on live television underlined the depth of concerns in a community already buffeted by a rise in anti-Muslim rhetoric this year and increased public scrutiny after the Nov. 13 attacks in Paris that killed 130 people and were claimed by Islamic State militants….

Faizul Khan, 74, an Imam at the Islamic Society of the Washington Area, said he was “horrified” by the San Bernadino shooting. “Unfortunately people don’t understand that we as Muslims, we basically want to promote what is good and just for the entire humanity.”

He said he feared the shooting would strengthen calls to increase surveillance on mosques.

Achraf Issam, 22, national spokesman for the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association in Silver Spring, Maryland, said it makes no more sense to say that Islam led to the San Bernardino shootings than to say Christianity led to an attack on the Planned Parenthood clinic in Colorado last week by a suspect police have named as Robert Lewis Dear.

“No one should say that because this couple is Muslim that it led them to commit those acts,” he said.

That sentiment was echoed by Sara Nabhan, 20, a junior majoring in biology at the University of Houston who was born in Jordan and came to Texas when she was 2 years old.

“Two people’s actions do not constitute a whole population’s actions,” she said.

Jersey City real-estate agent Magdy Ali, 52 and of Egyptian descent, said he uses the name Alex when working to avoid conflict with people who distrust Islam. He said he expects Trump to use Wednesday’s massacre to push for anti-Muslim measures such as monitoring of U.S. mosques.

“We are in a jam right now,” he said.

The morning after the killing of 129 people in Paris (the 130th victim was still in critical condition at that time) a BBC reporter was at the Place de la Republique interviewing people who were there

People who were not moslems expressed their shock, their sorrow, their sadness

On the other hand, the one moslem who turned up there (and interviewed by the BBC reporter) was complaining about the ‘mistreatment of moslems by the French’

So, you see, no matter where you go, them moslems are the same – it’s always others who are wrong, even when they are the one who carried out the killings

Actually you would be safer to meet a bad one, according to the Koran,. Only the good Moslem fights for allah. The bad Moslem prefers the things of this world, meaning not be killed killing for allah and will suffer a very painful doom. They are called hypocrites and apostates in Islam and the worst part of hell awaits them. Now you can see why it would be better for them to be a good Moslem. Nice brainwashing by Muhammed, don’t ya think?

Oh the perennial victim card!!! islam has a problem and the muslims are in denial about it. Time to face reality and to do something about it instead of taking the “I’m being persecuted” posture. Actions will have consequences. The islamists will continue to do horrific things in the name of islam until the muslims stand up and demand that it stops. If they don’t have the guts to do that, then they will prolong the consequences.

How can one demonize a religion founded by a mass murderer, child rapist and sex slave trader? Islam demonizes itself by its very existence. Muslims demonize themselves by belonging to it.

Neah.
Most Moslems are pretty lousy Moslems. They either don’t understand what Islam requires of them, or they don’t want to practice it (too dangerous, too much like work).
A lot of Christians are like, that, too, but they do not belong to a religion that requires them to fight the unbeliever until he feels subdued and pays the jizzyah. For example, Mother Teresa is an example of a ‘radical Christian.’ On the other hand, ISIS is the most honest practioner of Islam as formulated by Mad Mo’.
However, a lot of Moslems might be ‘complicit’ in that they contribute to Islamic charites, which contribute to Jihadi organizations.

There is no excuse for muslims not to know what is in the Koran and Hadiths. Maybe pre 9-11 that was a legitimate excuse or even a decade ago. But 14 years and over 27,000 deadly islamic attacks later it is no longer an acceptable excuse. If thousands upon thousands of people were being slaughtered in the name of your religion and you didn’t know what was in the scriptures of your religion wouldn’t you find out? Wouldn’t you read the scriptures to see what is going on?

Well, if I were a casual Christian who didn’t know much about scripture and there were thousands upon thousands of murders around the world committed by Christians who claimed to be doing it in the name of God and Jesus, I would start reading the Bible to see what was going on. Muslims should no longer get a pass for not knowing what is in the Koran.

What do muslims expect? People to hug them and give them flowers because some of the faithful are following the qur’an’s invocation to kill infidels? Get real, for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. This is not going to be nice. Muslims, must try to understand that not everyone holds the qur’an in the same esteem they do. Some are contemptuous if it for good reasons.

In Australia last year there was the siege in the Lindt cafe and they went as far as a hashtag Illridewithyou ( look it up it’s disgraceful ) while the people were still inside the cafe fearing for their lives. The whole thing was turned into a “protect the Moslem” campaign. It was closely followed with a taqiyya fest from the Imams laying flowers and praying, to the Moslem bride conveniently being filmed laying her bouquet among the many flowers. Never mind that 2 innocent people were killed. It was all about the Moslems, That was the day I was ashamed to call myself Australian

You are only the second person on the internet who has used the word Taqiyya and I wish everyone would educate themselves on what it means. Muslims hate all infidels (non-muslims) and the Quran Surah 9 tells them to seek us out and convert us or kill us. So when you factor that all in, there is not one single muslim on this planet that can be trusted and they all want to see us die. Who the hell do you think is going to be the them against us when Armageddon commences. Its a zero sum game. Prepare is all I can say. And to those who think I am crazy, well just wait. You’ll see.

These acts of violence are not merely condoned in the Koran (which is part of Islamic
law), but commanded by Islam’s prophet. Yet Hussam Ayloush speaks of a
“twisted mindset that would justify such sickening acts of violence”.

Mr. Ayloush risks being killed by his brother muslims for uttering disparaging words which “revile Allah or His messenger” (“Reliance of the Traveller” o8.7(4)). Under Sharia rules there is no penalty for such a murder, “since it is killing someone who deserves to die” (“Reliance of theTraveller” o8(4)).

Yea you are in a BIG jam.

“as is always the case in these weepy creepy “backlash” stories, is the
fact that Islamic jihadis can and do point to Islamic texts and
teachings to justify their actions and make recruits among peaceful
Muslims. No mention is made of the fact that Muslim clerics have been involved in jihad terror activity and have exhorted Muslims from the pulpit to commit acts of violence.

If Muslims really fear “backlash” and the “demonetization of Islam,”
they should be the first to act against such clerics, and would be
working publicly and honestly to reform those teachings. Mosques and
Islamic schools would be implementing programs to teach against the
understanding of Islam that justifies hatred and violence. But
“backlash” articles never deal with any of that — they’re all always
just about how Muslims fear reprisal attacks. Meanwhile, FBI statistics
show that anti-Semitic attacks are far more common than attacks against
innocent Muslims. Yet you never see articles about that. – See more
at:

Let us see more of these peaceful muslim people speaking out and demanding a reformation of islam and a re-writing of the Koran deleting all the texts referring to the killing of “infidels”, Include in this rewriting of the Koran should be something referring to all religions and sects getting along PEACEFULLY!!!!!

It took Christianity the better part of 400 years to reform, beginning with
Martin Luther in what is now Germany. Islam will never be reformed
because too many of its followers have been completely hypnotized.

Christianity never needed reforming. Christ only taught love, selflessness, sacrifice, forgiveness, and doing good to those who mistreat us. It was those who were suppose to be godly men, that went against the teachings of Christ and committed evil acts that was the problem.. The difference with Islam is the killings ARE the teachings, and actions of their most perfect prophet.

All right then, go in your time machine and off you go. Whatever, Christian doctrine has not changed. Give and take some so-called godly people were evil the doctrine is always the same. The Gospel has never changed and that is all we ought to abide to. Also towards our Muslim fellows but there is a limit.

My islamawareness comes, not only from the San Bernardino jihad attack, but also from the over 27,386 other pious moslem head hacking terror attacks, worldwide since 9/11.
A very very significant number.
As the body count rises, all in the name of islam’s allah god, we would be absolutely stupid to not put a stop to it, NOW.
moslems, should be the first to want to stop this jihad spreading worldwide, as moslems make up the majority of those bodies sacrificed for allah.

Thanks to the internet, and the incredibly BAD behavior of Muslims particularly since 9/11, when we became aware of them. many more citizens than at any other time in history are being warned about Islam and its takeover methods BEFORE MUSLIMS can really get their teeth into us. They have begun, but they are not far enough along here that there is a point of no return.
We are perhaps the first country that has this unique advantage. Europe did not. We should put this advance intel to good use.

on another note: How come a LARGE majority of the muslims refugees who are currently making their way thru out Europe do not show ANY thanks for what countries are trying to do for them. They are complaining about living conditions they are forced to live in or the food they are getting just isn’t not enough and whatever monies they are GIVEN doesn’t cut it and the length of time it is taking to register them. Why can’t they assimilate to their new home country without tearing it up or burning it down? We did not invite you to the European continent. you just showed up!! so pardon us if you cannot get 4 star service, these countries are trying to help their own people and your arrival just compounded their already slim existence. We are automatically suppose to give in totally to your “religious” customs and to hell with theirs? Wrong !!!! Reluctantly, you are our guests and we will try to accommodate your religion but NOT to the detriment of ours which are numerous.
The current refugees show themselves to be very impatient, rude, violent, unappreciative and so on. Just how am I to look upon the followers of Islam when all over the world all they seem to do is voice the absolute superiority of their religion and sickening violence on those who do not believe as you do.

Until those Muslims who truly believe that Islam is a peaceful religion speak up and unify as one against those who may be perverting their religion, can those of us, who are convinced Islam is a religion of violence, begin to really take the fight to ISIS . When that time comes ,sooner rather than later please, we may begin to see the sun rise on a much more peaceful world……

No-one is perverting anything.
“You are the finest of peoples raised up for mankind”, K 3:110.
The Kuffar are “unclean”, the “vilest of beasts”, K 9:28, 8:22.
“Fight and kill the non-muslims until Islam is the only governance” K 8:39.
“Islam was never a religion of peace. Islam is the religion of fighting”, says
the Caliph of Islamic State, with PhD in Islamic Studies.
“Battle, animosity and hatred, directed from the muslim to the infidel, is the
foundation of our religion”, Osama bin Laden.

Muslims are not going to start demonstrating against these. They will be killed by their fellow muslims, “since it is killing someone who deserves to die”.

Somebody help me with this. On one hand
we have Hillary and the Benghazi scandal possibly indicating gun running to the
Syrian Rebels. Then we have Obama, and Putin (a Biblical king of the north)
interjecting into the Syrian mess. Then all of a sudden, we have refugees
(a.k.a troop deployments) flooding Europe and wanting to come to America. THEN
we have the highly radical Islamic militarized attack in San Bernadino launched
from a IED explosives factory in Redlands. Now to be sure, it is a fact that
ISIS has stated quite confidently that they will infiltrate with these refugees
(a.k.a. troop redeployment) and Obama wants to increase the number redeploying
over here. And wouldn’t it help Obama and his ISIL and Levant troops once
staged in America to be able to engage more successfully against a disarmed
U.S. citizen population. Am I seeing something here or have I just lost my
marbles. And before someone says how do women and children figure into this,
well the U.S. has a static population birthrate yet the increasing number of
muslims have a far larger birthrate (as if they will be soldier factories). And
then I see Hillary deflect and say that we need to blame the gun lobby for the
Islamic military operation that just took place……….uuuuuuuuh…I ain’t
buyin it and niether should you America. There is an ideology evolving here in
America and it has nothing to do with traditional U.S. citizens, law abiding
gun owners. It seems everything Obama does furthers the cause of ISIS and we
are now witnessing what it will look like in the future. It is my humble
opinion that law abiding citizens go and start arming themselves to the teeth
and do not listen to Hillary because she is clueless. A quick read of the Quran
Surah 9 will help you understand why muslims who practice Islam is the single
most dangerous thing facing this nation today….that is all.

It is a fact that the muslims are the descendants of Ishmael son of Hagar and what did the Bible say about this boy……..The angel of the Lord also said to her:

“You are now pregnant
and you will give birth to a son.
You shall name him Ishmael,[a]
for the Lord has heard of your misery.
12 He will be a wild donkey of a man;
his hand will be against everyone
and everyone’s hand against him,
and he will live in hostility

toward[b] all his brothers.” And there it is.

Why is it always “all about islam”? There are murders committed by muslim terrorists who killed every day ordinary people at a Christmas party. What is the result? Islam and its enablers are filled with anger and remorse at the possibility that there may be hard feelings towards a cult that openly says it will kill non muslims, and does so. What about the victims? What about next time? Where is the American government and the alleged constitution? Where is the justice that America used to be famous for?

Where is the justice indeed… hiding under a burqa. They fear a backlash, but it is only the beginning. Even threats of prosecution from the DOJ won’t be able to stem this tide, unless they plan on jailing all non-Muslims. The scary part is, they just might try, at which point all hell will break loose. I mean that literally.

America is getting dangerously close to massive civil disobedience. It will not take much to trigger it. Another “Kent State” when the national guard fires on American citizens protecting there homes and lives, will do it. As I will occasionally bet a coffee on something, I would bet on that.

A cartoon of Mohammed is enough of an insult for Muslims for them to take to the streets in their noisy thousands all over the world, screaming for justice against those who insult Islam. Then they say that the activities of ISIS (such as this recent attack) do not represent Islam, and in fact insult the religion. But apparently mass murder in the name of Islam doesn’t insult or defame the religion that much. We see small quiet groups of tens and twenties, or the occasional Imam condemning it, but not enough of an insult to bring them out in tens of thousands like a cartoon does.

DEMONIZING A DEMONIC FAITH?

What can be unfair about that? Islam’s “demonization” began 14 centuries ago when the peaceful Prophet Mohammed turned to jihad killing, torturing, raping and robbing innocent infidels (Jews, Christians and pagans) as a desperate measure to save his faith from going to the grave with him. And until the evil of jihad is exorcised and expelled from Islam it will remain a demonic faith justly demonized, vilified, excoriated, feared and hated.

Since when do Muslims grieve for the deaths of infidels? Well never. They usually dance in the streets and hand out candy. That is how they celebrate when infidels die. I do not believe it when organisations like CAIR etc. express regret as almost every Muslim is pleased in his/her deepest core when infidels die as it brings them one step closer to their dream of world domination. Heck they do not even grieve when Muslims of the opposing creed are killed. Ie. Shia/Sunni and vice versa
