Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is being denounced worldwide for noting that the Mufti of Jerusalem, Haj Amin al-Husseini, who lived in Berlin during World War II and recruited a Muslim SS division for Hitler, had a role in inciting the Nazis to murder six million Jews.

Aside from the outrageous fact that Netanyahu is drawing much more fire for this than Mahmoud Abbas ever does for his praise for the murderers of Jews and calls to kill more, there is one central problem with the denunciations: Netanyahu was right.
Netanyahu told the Zionist Congress last Tuesday that “Hitler didn’t want to exterminate the Jews at the time, he wanted to expel the Jews.” That is quite right: the Nazis originally pursued a policy of exiling Jews to Eastern Europe, and even to Palestine – until the Mufti protested that they must not be sent there. Netanyahu quoted Hitler asking the Mufti, “So what should I do with them?” The Mufti responded, according to Netanyahu, “Burn them.”
The condemnations have been way over the top, as you might expect, with the most egregious one coming from Moshe Zimmermann, a professor at Hebrew University: “With this, Netanyahu joins a long line of people that we would call Holocaust deniers.”
Netanyahu is now a Holocaust denier because he noted the Mufti of Jerusalem’s role in the Holocaust? Moshe Zimmermann may teach at Hebrew University, but clearly he can’t think straight.
Netanyahu was right, and it is good to see that he is not backing down. He called the criticism of his remarks “absurd,” which it is: Netanyanhu’s remarks mirror my ads highlighting the role of the Muslim world during the Holocaust, and Netanyahu is experiencing the same blowback from Islamic supremacists and Islamic apologists that I got.
Daniel Pipes, the premier front man for the failed idea that we should place all our hope in “moderate Islam,” claimed that our ad campaign in Philadelphia calling attention to the Mufti’s relationship with Hitler was a failure. He took issue with our factual assertions, claiming that the Mufti’s meeting with Hitler was a “one-time, opportunistic consultation.” Really? Tell that to the 400,000 Jewish women and children Husseini sent to their deaths at Nazi concentration camps. Tell that to the victims of the Muslim armies in Bosnia that Husseini raised for Hitler.
Mufti al-Husseini lived in Berlin from 1941-1945 on Hitler’s dime and made weekly radio addresses from Berlin to the Axis power nations and the Muslim world. In one, he screamed: “Arabs, rise and fight as one for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them. This pleases Allah, history and religion. This saves your honor, Allah is with you.”
This and similar appeals using the Quran reoccurred time and time again in the Mufti’s broadcast addresses during the war. He organized propaganda services to the Muslims of the world from Berlin. He used Axis radio stations calling Muslims to arms in a holy war against the Allies. He aided the Nazi espionage service. He raised Muslim parachute groups for sabotage in the Middle East. He raised Muslim formations to fight the allies. He helped in the Nazi plan to exterminate nearly 6,000,000 Jews.
Netanyahu also said: “Hitler was responsible for the Final Solution to exterminate six million Jews; he made the decision. It is equally absurd to ignore the role played by the Mufti, Haj Amin al -Husseini, a war criminal, for encouraging and urging Hitler.”

SS Hauptsturmfuehrer Dieter Wisliceny, a close collaborator of Adolf Eichmann, testified that:
The grand Mufti, who had been in Berlin since 1941, played a role in the decision of the German government to exterminate the European Jews the importance of which must not be disregarded. He had repeatedly suggested to the various authorities with whom he had been in contact, above all before Hitler, Ribbentrop and Himmler, the extermination of European jury. He considers this as a comfortable solution of the Palestine problem. In his messages broadcast from Berlin, he surpassed us in anti-Jewish attacks. He was one of Eichmann’s best friends and has constantly incited him to accelerate the extermination measures. I heard say that, accompanied by Eichmann, he has visited incognito the gas chamber it Auschwitz.
The statement referred to in the affidavit was made by Eichmann in his office in Budapest on June 4, 1944; the confirmation by Wisliceny was given some days later also in Budapest.
Further, according to testimony at the Nuremberg trials, “[T]he Mufti was a bitter arch enemy of the Jews and had always been the protagonist of the idea of their annihilation. This idea the Mufti had always advanced in his conversations with Eichmann.”
There has been a coverup of the Mufti’s role in the Holocaust. The New York Post reported back in 1948 that “on Aug. 28, 1946, Dean Acheson, then Acting Secretary of State, announced that ‘the State Dept. is preparing a White Paper concerning the activities of the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem.’ Acheson said the publication would be in the form of a book, which would cover all the documents concerning the ex-Mufti seized from German files. This While Paper has not yet been published, although 17 months have passed. What keeps the State Dept. from publishing it? Who is interested in the delay? Are all the documents safe?”
That white paper was never published. I submitted a Freedom of Information Act request several years ago, asking for a copy of it, as well as of all State Department correspondence relating to it. The State Department responded that such a white paper did not exist and had never existed, and that there was no correspondence about it.
What, then, happened to the publication Dean Acheson promised? Under whose auspices, and for what reason, has the Mufti’s role in the Holocaust been shrouded in silence?
Benjamin Netanyahu did the world a great service by calling attention to this. The intensity of the attacks against him only testifies to how much he struck a nerve. In the mainstream media, Islam and Muslims must never, ever be criticized. We may only hope that the controversy will lead to some of the truth coming to light about the extent of the Mufti’s role in killing Jews.

quotation from Bukhari-Muslim by Abu Khurreira that states:”The Day of

Al-Husseini is citing the ‘Gharkad Tree Hadith’ (“…every tree behind which a Jew hides will say: “There is a Jew
behind me, Kill him!”) which is also quoted in the HAMAS Charter.

Just my intuition, I don’t have any proof.
Well stated and very plausible. And the US did a good job suppressing this and did not want to have problems with the Saudi’s as Americans and British built massive infrastructure for oil recovery. And it probably would not have been an issue until 9-11 when many of us started wondering and researching what the buzz was going on, and why the situation never made any progress amid the efforts of peace making. Sadat was a big wake up call that many ignored as a result of the obfuscation.
The British still have a sore spot having to surrender to Israel in their bid for independence.
There were many promises T. E. Lawrence et al made with the Moslems to get them to fight for the Brits in wwI that were ultimately unfulfilled. Noted also that the queen of England never visited Israel, but continually visits other countries in the region.
Re the UK: just after Great Britain had dealt so treacherously with the Jews (up to & including 1948) the ’empire on which the sun never set’ lost its empire, for G-d says, “I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse; and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you”. Israel, you are indeed a blessing to the world!
The present incitement re Jerusalem, the refusal by the Obama admin. to recognise Jerusalem as Israel’s capital, the arabs’ skewed perceptions are all fulfilling another prophecy: Ezekiel 29: 4 & 38: 4. They (all of them) are being drawn willy-nilly to Jerusalem, for that is where God started it all & that is where they (Israel’s enemies) will all end.

The truth needs to and should be known. Which is that the Grand mufti of Jerusalem ,who was the head of the Supreme Islamic Council was a friend of Adolph Hitler because the had a mutual hate for the Jewish people. This mufti had his Muslim followers work in close ties with the SS. As explained and exposed in the short booklet by the David Horowitz Freedom Center which is entitled THE NAZI ROOT OF PALESTINIAN NATION ISM AND ISLAMIC JIHAD. Likewise, parts of the book THE TERRORIST NEXT DOOR by Erick Stakelbeck also exposes this reality. The next book Mr. Stakelbeck that warns about the dangers of the radical Islamic groups called “The Muslim Brotherhood” also has part of it giving information about about that truth. On November 28,1941 Amin al-Hajj Husseyni was officially received by Hitler. Their communication included, Arab and German common objective would be solely the destruction of Jewish element, meaning Jews not to be simply driven out, but would be hunted down and destroyed.
In July 1942 the Grand Mufti of Jerusalem, Amin al-Hajj Husseyni visited the Sachsenhausen concentration camp and lectured the SS how to transform it into an extermination one. Visits to Treblinka, Birkenau, and Belzec followed. In 1943 he was given rank of gruppenfuehrer.
No one disputes Hitler was the prime mover of the Holocaust. Hitler prefered Islam and was a big fan of the rewards it promised its jihadi martyrs.
Violence is a constant element of mainstream Islamic theology. Let us not be deceived.

Dwight D. paraded troops through the camps exactly because of situations like this, denying what really happened and trying to revise history.
German civilians were also forced to walk thru the camps to see the evil done in their name. They elected Hitler so shared his guilt.

Thank you for this Pamela. It is NOT a small point that you and the prime minister of Israel are making .. that Islam has sought extermination of the Jews just as Nazis did. Of course, Islam is seeking the extermination of anyone not Islamic, such as Christians but they are biding their time on the useful leftists and un-religious. But the Jews are the first to go in their plans.

If Rommel’s army had got to the Middle East as he intended, I think he would have dealt with the Arabs much the same as the Jews. Use them as slave labour. Hitler and the Nazis had their own cult and despised Christianity so there is no reason to think he had any respect for Islam. The Nazi ideology was about the pure Nordic races, so he would not have been very enthusiastic about brown men from the Mid East He only used them because they were anti Jew
The Muslims SS were just cannon fodder like his other ‘allies’, the ethos of the SS was for them to be pure Aryans although they got less picky as the war turned against them
Deep down, you are right. Actually, Hitler talked about them initially as half-apes and would never have given them the time of day. But when the Mufti and other muslim leaders offered him their enthusiastic unsolicited support and services to achieve the “final solution” as well as the defeat of Britain, he had no reason to turn them down, especially after having tested the muslims’ enthusiasm for the anticipated genocide of the Jews.
Naturally, Hitler and his goons’ idea never was to keep the muslims as valuable partners on a par with the nazis once victory would be achieved, but to get rid of them the minute they had become useless – a time-honored strategy among modern politicians, as witnessed with the Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact or Stalin’s purges. The muslims were probably as dense then in trusting the nazis as they are now in trusting their socialist allies.

Caroline Glick wrote a very good article about this. It seems Natanyahu might have stated a different version of the Mufti’s role than scholar’s accept. Due to that minor point this has become a major controversy. She said it was a foxy move and brought attention to the Mufti. “Crazy Like A Fox”
As far as Dr. Pipe’s position. I am on the fence about that. I live in Israel and the US. I think there are some moderate Muslims that could be helpful in fighting the extremists. Jamie Glazov recently interviewed Mudar Zahran and people like him are good people who can help us. Also Gatestone has many good articles by good Muslims, We are never going to eradicate Islam, it is more likely to go through a reformation.
Eradicating islam, probably not, but containing it into a no-go area where they can rot between themselves all they want, away from civilization, must and will be done. It will happen when the Judeo-Christians get tired of being raped, tortured and killed.
As to “good or moderate muslims,” supposing they exist, who cares? Of course they are not going to “help us”, they have kept quiet during each and every massacre perpetrated by their brothers for the past 70 years (probably secretly proud of their savage brothers’ “victories”), they aren’t going to wake up and show their opposition now, when the atrocities have become daily news. Islam is the world’s second largest religion. According to a 2010 study and released January 2011, Islam has 1.57 billion adherents, making up over 23% of the world population. According to the Pew Research Center in 2015 there were 50 Muslim-majority countries. That would make make a huge no-go area.
First, islam is not a religion, it’s a totalitarian ideology masquerading as a religion.
Second, what may or may not have happened centuries ago to try and excuse the inexcusable atrocities perpetrated today by your proteges leaves me totally cold. I live now, my family, my fellow Americans, my Jewish and Christians friends are being attacked now, today.
Third, I didn’t declare war on your proteges, they declared war on me. I don’t care how many they are and how difficult it will be to achieve victory over them, but it has to be done. They are the enemy and they have to be fought against with the same strength we fought the nazis.
