well in those days it was the norm, and they did wait til the youth were at least sexually developed as very young adults. which is far from what islamics do or teach. They disregard even the pain and physical damage they do to the younger kids. That was never part of anything God actually taught anyone.

This isn’t a christian thing though, we are supposed to have evolved spiritually better than that and I think we have regarding that stuff. We are not to cause the suffering of our daughters. what refutes your post is the fact that there is NO documentation and NO actual good reason to believe that Joseph was a 40 year old. Knowing how men’s minds work , it is a very obvious fantasy for a few out there though.

Highly unlikely that joseph was older, since there is no mention of it, and no mention that he had other wives or children. It’s PURE FANTASY to wish or think that he was an older generation. There is NOTHING in the narrative to support that at ALL.

i don’t agree. he took responsibility to prevent a criminal from continuing his heinous victimizations of children. He saved a kid hopefully by making the perpetrator think twice. yes he took a risk, but he was more righteous than the military is being regarding it. the penalty should be very mild if any. But some , such as his higher ups, just don’t have any conscience nor good judgement anymore.

And in this universe, right always trumps wrong, he decided to be a person of conscience, yes he knew the risk but he did right so should be exonerated regardless of military rules in this case. or at least he should be leniently treated.
