Eminent Blogger and American writer Avijit Roy was savagely murdered and his wife, blogger Rafida Ahmed Bonna, severely injured (slashed on her shoulders and the fingers of her left hand were severed) when devout Muslims hacked him to death as he was leaving a book fair at Dhaka University. Muslims stopped and dragged them from the rickshaw to the pavement before striking them with machetes.

The mastermind of the savage slaughter was a British Muslim.
In Bangladesh, bloggers, social activists and human rights activists who speak critically of Islam have been brutally murdered by devout Muslims. Tens of thousands of Muslims in Bangladesh have rioted and protested and stoned police, burned shops demonstrating for the death penalty for blasphemy laws under the Sharia (Islamic law).
Islamic supremacists and leftist lapdogs in the West say, “Oh, well, that’s Bangladesh — it’s a cultural thing.” No, it’s an Islamic thing and it’s universal to the ummah (worldwide Muslim community).
It’s not just Bangladesh; it’s France (Hebdo) and Denmark (Vilks, Westergaard) and Garland, Texas. It’s anywhere Muslims live and practice sharia.
This savage war is on freedom of thought, freedom of expression, freedom of and from religion, and freedom of speech. In other words, imposing Islamic law by any means possible.
Why are we importing hundreds of thousands of these adherents to the most hostile and brutal ideology into our homelands?

“Bangladesh Arrests Three Men Suspected of Killing Atheist Bloggers,” Time Magazine, August 17, 2015
One is a British citizen accused of being the “main planner”
Authorities in Bangladesh have arrested three suspected Islamic extremists carrying out the murders of two atheist bloggers, including a British national who authorities say was the “main planner” behind the attacks.
Spokesmen for the Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), the country’s elite security force, told Agence France-Presse that they had arrested 58-year-old Touhidur Rahman and two other “active members” of the recently banned organization Ansarullah Bangla Team.
The trio have been accused of killing Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das, two of the four bloggers hacked to death with machetes this year in what has become an alarming pattern of violent backlash against secular voices in the South Asian nation. A hit list of 84 bloggers compiled by Islamic fundamentalist groups in 2013 continues to do the rounds, and the latest murder — that of Hindu writer Niloy Neel — took place 10 days ago.
The Bangladesh government led by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been criticized for failing to adequately protect secular bloggers and activists, but Tuesday’s arrests may provide hope that those responsible will be prosecuted.
“We’ve arrested them in the capital today,” RAB spokesman Major Maksudul Alam told AFP. “We can confirm that Rahman is a Bangladesh origin British citizen. He is the main planner of the attacks on Avijit Roy and Ananta Bijoy Das.”
