Muslim Moderates Rally Against Terror in Ireland…. Here’s What Happened

49

Nothing. Almost no one showed up. There you have it.

dublin-rally

A rare Muslim rally against terror in Dublin (following an attack
that killed three Irish tourists) managed to draw only 50 Muslims.

Story continues below advertisement

Mind you, if it’s a protest against the Jewish state, hundreds of thousands of Muslims across the world take to the streets chanting “Death to the Jews,” and many times the protests end in violence. New York, London, Paris, Oslo, LA, Berlin ….. everywhere.

But a protest against jihad terror? Not so much.

Back in 2005, when I was studying Islam and the jihadic doctrine, in what would become a lifelong mission in defense of freedom, there was a lot of buzz about a Muslim demo in DC against terrorism. I was thrilled to hear of it and went down to DC to support it and cover it for Atlas. Back then, I did a lot of that — cover rallies, protests — things the media didn’t deign to cover. I must admit that I was shocked by what I saw when I got to the Muslim protest against terror: there was almost no one there.

Thus began a different understanding of what we were/are dealing with.

We see this time and time again. When Amina and Sarah Said were honor murdered in Texas, nothing was said or done by the Muslim community. When California Muslim Shaima Alawadi was murdered, Islamic supremacists and their leftist lapdogs advanced the lie that “islamophobes” had done it. There was outrage and protests, “One Million Hijabs for Shaima Alawadi.” And on and on. When the truth came out, that Shaima was honor murdered by her devout husband, the silence in the Muslim community was deafening.

Muslim Moderates Rally Against Terror in Ireland,” By Robert Spencer, July 28, 2015

All fifty of them.

Everyone has been waiting for this for years, and at last it has happened. The historic happening took place in Ireland, a nation hitherto not distinguished for standing in the cultural vanguard, but all that will change now, thanks to a rally hosted by a group calling itself the Irish Muslim Peace and Integration Council, which has finally delivered to the world the desire of the ages: Muslims rallying against terrorism!

Surely tens of thousands of Muslims attended, right? You know, that vast majority of Muslims who abhor and reject terrorism? Those moderates upon whom the leaders of Western countries are betting the very futures of their nations turned out in droves, didn’t they?

Well, not exactly. RTE News reported this on Sunday about the blessed event: “Up to 50 people took part in a rally organised by the Irish Muslim Peace and Integration Council to protest over the actions of the so-called Islamic State.”

That’s right. I’m afraid the turnout was, uh, fifty people. Not fifty thousand. Fifty. And not only that, but according to the Irish Examiner, the Irish Muslim Peace and Integration Council “faced resistance from a few members of the Islamic community, while promoting the event.” Not just verbal resistance, either: “Organisers said that a member of the council was assaulted by someone at a mosque who claimed to support ‘ISIS’, while he was handing out leaflets to promote today’s protest against terrorism.”

So not only did the vast majority of moderate Muslims fail to show up, but the group protesting against jihad terror faced active resistance from other Muslims. When have we heard about a Muslim who wanted to join the Islamic State facing active resistance, even to the point of assault, from moderate Muslims? We have seen Muslims express bewilderment that they went, and anger at the government (whether of the U.S. or Britain) for not stopping them from going, but we have not generally seen Muslims doing anything themselves to prevent them from going.

What’s more, this is not the first time that attendance at a Muslim rally against terrorism has been decidedly underwhelming. In October 2014 in Houston, a rally against the Islamic State organized by the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) drew the grand total of ten people. In August 2013 in Boston, about 25 Muslims rallied against “misperceptions” that Islam was violent. About the same number showed up in June 2013 at a progressive Muslim rally in Toronto to claim that their religion had been “hijacked.”

And back in 2005, a group called the Free Muslims Coalition held what it dubbed a “Free Muslims March Against Terror,” intending to “send a message to the terrorists and extremists that their days are numbered … and to send a message to the people of the Middle East, the Muslim world and all people who seek freedom, democracy and peaceful coexistence that we support them.” In the run-up to the event it got enthusiastic national and international publicity, but it ended up drawing about twenty-five people.

Contrast those paltry showings to the thousands of Muslims who have turned out for rallies against cartoons of Muhammad or against Israel. Here are some headlines from the aftermath of the Charlie Hebdo jihad massacre of Muhammad cartoonists in January 2015:

Chechnya: 800,000 Muslims protest Muhammad cartoons; protests also in Iran, Pakistan, Ingushetia, elsewhere

Pakistan: 10,000 Muslims protest against Charlie Hebdo’s Muhammad cartoons

Australia: 1,000 Muslims rally against Charlie Hebdo and the freedom of speech

Kyrgyztsan: 1,000 Muslims rally: “I am not Charlie, I love my Prophet.”

But given a chance to show how Muslims overwhelmingly reject “extremism,” only a handful show up.

This is just the opposite of what the situation should be if the mainstream narrative about Islam and jihad were true. We should be seeing pro-jihad terror Muslims opposed strenuously within their own community. Instead, those who oppose jihad terror are the real “tiny minority of extremists,” hounded and opposed by their fellow Muslims.

You’d think that some of the non-Muslim analysts who have been confidently telling us that moderate Muslims will any day now rise up against their “extremist” brethren and take back their religion from those who have “hijacked” it would get a clue from all this, and realize that the moderates have had almost fourteen years now since 9/11 to rein in the “extremists,” and have not done so, and are not going to do so.

But they won’t. They will be out there with their pom-poms again to cheerlead for the next “moderate Muslim rally against terror” – and they’ll not have to strain their pocketbook all that much to buy a nice halal dinner for everyone who shows up.

Muslims shouldn’t have to apologize or condemn jihadists…. I don’t care if Ahmadinejad kills 50 people…. it has nothing to do with me personally

Funny.

That excuse doesn’t seem to work for Christians and Jews.

Or whites alone being blamed for all the world’s slavery.

Or Catholics when a priest goes afoul of Catholic teaching.

Or Americans being blamed in general for everything when 90% of the world’s countries are run by socialist, murdering dictators.

We all have to “Clean up our messes,” so so does Islam.

If you’re a Muslim deal with it cause if the rest of the civilized world finally wakes up and has to, it will get brutal.

And it won’t care about collateral damage.

No… Catholic priests don’t condemn their actions… they hide it from the public. You’re saying it’s become a regular thing to get blamed for the mistakes of others I understand that…. im saying why should Muslims hold a rally or condemn anything? White people don’t just openly hold rallys or apologize for slavery… and what the hell are you talking about “it will get brutal”? You think people are gonna nuke iraq? Syria? Iran? Ok world war 3 it is…. we’ll all die together… fucking idiot… isis will continue to kill people and nothing will get done about that, crazy radicalized Muslims will continue to kill people and no one will stop em. You fucking get real.

Whites don’t apologize for slavery because none of us have ever been slave owners. But muslims are CURRENTLY involved in the slaughter of innocent people and while you may not personally be perpetrating, but you absolutely share in the ideology. If people who claimed to be Christians were slaughtering people – actual Christians take a stand against it. As Christians we refrain from throwing the first punch as it were.

Right. MUSLIMS are best suited to fight and defeat Muslim Terrorism.

When Arabs/Muslims drop their weapons and flee ISIS – they enhance ISIS’s reputation.

ISIS needs to be publicly humiliated and defeated..

No I said “All Catholicism” gets blamed for for the actions of the priests.

Even though Catholic people, (I’m Catholic) have been very vocal about locking the perverts up.

NOWHERE in the Bible does it say, “And Yeh, The spiritual leaders may have their way with their same sex younger servants.”

But the Koran is sure full of “Kill the infidels.”

Chapter 9 Vs 5
” 4 ” 89
” 2 ” 191
” 9 ” 29
” 47 ” 4

And white people hold rallies against slavery and racism all the time, cause we’re the only ones called racists. I’ve been called one several times, just because I’m white.

Asians, Africans, Native Americans, and Whites ALL at some point had slaves, and apparently Muslims are still selling human beings.

And by “It will get brutal” I mean mobs NEVER act with reason. WHY would people protesting the shooting of a black boy, loot and burn out black businesses?

If you’re protesting anything at all, why smash other peoples homes and businesses?

It happens every single time people riot.

And then there’s war.

Just as the world finally stood up to the Nazis, it will have to with radical Islam and it’s increasingly looking like it will mean war.

In which case nobody will be spared.

Innocent Germans, Italians and Japanese died right along side the guilty.

That’s why we make so much effort to avoid war. Because there are no rules when it happens.

And it’s not like Islamists are following the Geneva convention anyway.

And you obviously haven’t you heard the saying, “Evil requires neither your acceptance nor your denial, only that you remain silent.”

And last, please, why the foul language?

it implies you have a nasty temper and are trying to intimidate me into silence.

Last I recall, that’s a Gestapo tactic.

And a largely an Islamic one too.

Are you….?

WRONG. Islam has acquired a reputation that it is the religion of TERRORISTS. See 9/11, Fort Hood, Boston Marathon bombing, Pan Am 103 bombing, Paris Charlie Hebdo and kosher market, 7/7/05 London transport bombing, beheading of soldier Lee Rigby, ISIS, Taliban, Muslim Brotherhood, Taliban, Al Qada, Boko Haram, lone wolf terrorists, terrorist mosques…

We’ve seen Arabs/Muslims/CAIR protest when their side gets hit, but NEVER when Arabs/Muslims/CAIR commit terrorist atacks, call for death to America and Israel.

Muslims needs to show Infidels whose side they are on.

Muslims should apologize for adhering to a “religion” that specifically commands them to support the forcible conquest of the whole world — i.e. jihad — and that prescribes the death penalty for apostasy and even for “blasphemy” by non-Muslims, and that teaches them to regard all non-Muslims as filthy.

Every Muslim who maintains and defends Islam is complicit in sustaining the violent, hateful governing dynamic of the creed — with the possible exception of the small, sad handful who imagine they can cleanse Islam of the hideous behavior modeled by its founder.

Wrong. Muslims are so lacking self-control, and with a tendency to be mindless slaves to the worst ideology the world has seen in centuries, because of all this Muslims in Western nations should be required to make a special vow to the authorities not to engage in terrorism, not to give support to terror groups, not to rape Infidel women, not to join in treasonous anti-Western protests, and not to advance their pathetic anti-Semitic hatred. Then if a Muslim violates their vow in any of its parts they should either be deported or executed, their choice. If the government fails to enact such a sensible policy then ordinary citizens should simply monitor Muslims in their neighborhood, and when a Muslim piece of filth kills his sister or daughter, then a citizens’ enforcement team can visit the piece of filth & terminate him. This problem will only be solved by active citizens taking justice into their own hands.

Another data point that demonstrates that “moderate muslims” are the support/infrastructure for the active terrorists.
Anyone who really understands what is written in the Koran knows that words have different meanings for muslims than they do for those that they label “the Infidel”.

For those who don’t yet understand: the Koran specifically instructs it’s adherents to LIE whenever it will in any fashion advance the cause of Islam. From this one principle alone it is clear that no adherent to Islam can be trusted or relied upon to bargain honestly, keep their promises, or tell the truth when questioned about anything concerning Islam.

I have stated many times that Islam is a Communicable Mental Disorder.
Lord Moncton, advisor to Heads of State, has stated that the Koran needs to be published ~only~ with a Black Border Warning and that all copies not containing such a warning be declared contraband.
I am convinced in my own mind that this theocratic dictatorship is demonic in inspiration. A comparison of Islam with any of the worlds recognised “Great Religions” demonstrates that this alleged “religion” falls far short of the standards to which every legitimate religion is held.
At nearly every point it is the dark opposite of all other recognised systems of religion and philosophy.
