New Israel Fund grantee 972 Mag this week featured a glowing article with a vicious Jew-hater, Omar Barghouti under the headline “The Man Behind the BDS Movement.” The man has been described as a threat to the State of Israel, the left-wing newspaper, Yedioth Ahronot, calls him “Explosive Omar”, and he refuses to do interviews with Israeli journalists.
As their article said, “And if he and his boycott movement are giving both Zionist officials and their media a panic attack, one can only assume he is doing something right.” New Israel Fund keeps supporting a boycott. Alisa Doctoroff, President of UJA-Federation donates to NIF – so does Karen R. Adler and her Jewish Communal Fund. Arthur & Edith Stern, Barbara & Eric Dobkin, Franklin Fisher, William & Serra Goldman, Peter Shapiro, Bryna Linett, Lois & Richard England Foundation, Yaffa & Paul Maritz and many others are major donors to the New Israel Fund – who funnels money to 972 that glorifies the BDS movement.
These people must be shunned and excommunicated from the Jewish community.
According to his Wikipedia page, Barghouti has consistently spoken of Israel as an apartheid state, stating: “From now on, it will be acceptable to compare Israel’s apartheid system to its South African predecessor. As a consequence, proposing practical measures to punish Israeli institutions for their role in the racist and colonial policies of their state will no longer be considered beyond the pale.” Also: “Characterising Israel’s legalised system of discrimination as apartheid – as was done by Tutu, Jimmy Carter and even a former Israeli attorney general – does not equate Israel with South Africa. No two oppressive regimes are identical. Rather, it asserts that Israel’s bestowal of rights and privileges according to ethnic and religious criteria fits the UN-adopted definition of apartheid.”
Barghouti refers to Israeli practices using comparisons to Nazi Germany: “Many of the methods of collective and individual “punishment” meted out to Palestinian civilians at the hands of young, racist, often sadistic and ever impervious Israeli soldiers at the hundreds of checkpoints littering the occupied Palestinian territories are reminiscent of common Nazi practices against the Jews.”
Glorifying those who boycott and work to harm Israel – that is 972 Magazine who receives funding from the New Israel Fund. this publication has had writers call Jerusalem an “apartheid city”, claimed “Israelis were full of “glee” over terrorist attacks in Norway, in which Anders Behring Breivik killed 77 people”, and are regularly involved with advocating for the BDS movement.
In the interview with Barghouti, the NIF grantee even asks: “As a Palestinian citizen of Israel who can’t support BDS publicly due to restricting laws, I feel I can’t really join your non-violent popular movement. How can local activists still support you?”
Those who stand against Israel stand with terrorists.

Your contribution supports independent journalism
Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.
Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.
Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.
