Reverend Franklin Graham Calls for Sharia Law to be Banned in the USA

171

Why does Franklin Graham condemn and denounce my stand in defense of freedom and against the sharia, but then he issues this statement?

He sounds mad.

Franklin Graham: ‘Draw Muhammad’ event went too far
WND.com – May 6, 2015

Did the Jewish toddlers go too far?

The left, the RINOS and the Islamic apologists say I am “provocative” for standing against sharia.

Were the Jewish children murdered in cold blood by a devout Muslim at a Jewish Day School in France”provocative”?

Was Daniel Pearl “provocative”?

Were James Foley, Steve Sotloff, Alan Henning, et al “provocative”?

Were the shoppers at the kosher deli, Hyper Cacher, “provocative”?

Are the Yazidi and non-Muslim girls gang-raped and sold into slavery “provocative”?

Is the existence of Israel “provocative”?

Are the millions of non-Muslims being ethnically cleansed across the Middle East “provocative”?

Were the World Trade Center towers “provocative”?

Were the soldiers in Fort Hood Texas “provocative”?

Was beheading victim Colleen Hufford in Oklahoma “provocative”?

“Reverend Franklin Graham Calls for Sharia Law to be Banned in the USA!,” by Onan Coca, Eagle Rising, 12 June 2015:

In response to a report in the BBC about life under radical Islam, the Reverend Franklin Graham wrote a scathing attack on the threat we face from Sharia (Islamic) Law. In a post to his Facebook account the Reverend argued that we cannot allow Sharia Law a foothold in our society because of its deeply destructive powers.

Here’s what Reverend Graham had to say:

The BBC just published a story about life under radical Islam—what it’s really like. This is a vivid reminder of why Sharia law should be banned in the U.S. and all countries that cherish freedom and liberty. Some western governments are actually considering allowing Sharia law in certain Muslim communities in their countries—can you believe it? ISIS is imposing Sharia law on hundreds of thousands of Iraqis and Syrians who want to be free. Women are oppressed, Christians and minorities are persecuted and murdered, homosexuals are tortured and killed. President Obama seems to be at a loss as to what to do. Pray that God will give him and our leaders wisdom, and pray for all those living under Islam.

The article from the BBC that he had just read was titled Inside Mosul: What’s life like under Islamic State? It’s a brilliant piece that documents various everyday aspects of life and how different life is under the ISIS terrorists. Here’s a bit of what BBC found in Mosul.

ISIS“Since IS took the city, it has been applying the ‘Laws of the Caliphate’, as it calls them. The minimum punishment is flogging, which is applied for things like smoking a cigarette.“Theft is punished by amputating a hand, adultery by men by throwing the offender from a high building, and adultery by women by stoning to death. The punishments are carried out in public to intimidate people, who are often forced to watch…”

“I was arrested by IS. They came to our family home looking for my brother. When they couldn’t find him, they decided to take me to prison instead.

“Then they tortured me. The guy who did it wouldn’t stop unless he got tired. He was edgy all the time and he wouldn’t listen to what his prisoners said. He flogged me with a power cable and also tortured me psychologically…”

ISIS is monstrous and its core values can be found within the Koran and Sharia Law. I am not one to generally call for the “banning” of anything, but in this case I agree wholeheartedly with the Reverend Graham — Sharia Law must be banned from our borders. Sharia Law cannot coexist with our western system of law or with our Constitutional values – the two are at odd at every point. Banning Sharia is the most logical way to ensure that we keep the creeping specter of Islamic extremism from infiltrating our communities.
