My column this week expands on my thoughts on Michelle Obama’s bizarre and moronic remarks to British Muslim girls last week:
DEFENDING THE WEST
Michelle O. ‘sees herself’ in British Muslim women
Exclusive: Pamela Geller examines ‘extremely odd’ statements by first ladyMichelle Obama recently visited the U.K., where, according to The Mirror, she “compared her struggle to succeed as a young black woman in America to the experience of inner-city Muslim girls.”

She “struggled to hold back tears,” said the Mirror, as she spoke to an audience of hijab-wearing Muslim girls at the Mulberry School for Girls in London’s notorious Muslim area, Tower Hamlets.
“Girls like you inspire me and impress me every single day,” she said. “When I look out at all these young women, I see myself. In so many ways, your story is my story.”
In saying this, Michelle Obama was implying that both she and the Muslim girls she was addressing faced oppression, discrimination and disadvantage. She was, in other words, advancing the false Muslims-as-victims narrative that Islamic advocacy groups such as the Hamas-tied Council on American-Islamic Relations, or CAIR, work so hard to cultivate in the U.S.
Michelle Obama did not, of course, address the fact that the primary source of the oppression and discrimination that these Muslim girls face and will face in the future is their own families – primarily their fathers and husbands.
The first lady could have called upon these girls to reject the Shariah misogyny that devalues women’s testimony and inheritance rights, reduces women to commodity status via polygamy, sanctions their beating and makes them vulnerable to genital mutilation and honor killing. But she didn’t dare say anything about any of that.

What she did say was extremely odd. Michelle sees herself in the gender apartheid under Islamic law? Was Michelle held down by her mother and other female relatives while they cut her clitoris off? The U.K.’s “failure to stop FGM is a ‘national scandal.’” There have been 170,000 victims of female genital mutilation, a practice justified under Islamic law, in Britain, and yet there were no prosecutions of any of the perpetrators until this year. Where is Michelle Obama’s hashtag about that?
Michelle sees herself in the British Shariah courts, where the appalling treatment of women and children at the hands of the Shariah court “justices” goes unpunished? Shariah law courts have become a parallel legal system in the U.K. They justify and legislate extensive abuse of women, refuse to grant even abused women divorces, charge the woman but not the man for divorce proceedings and even take away the woman’s children. These kinds of rulings happen routinely, despite the fact that they are contrary to British law.
Does Michelle Obama see herself in this Quran verse? “Men are the managers of the affairs of women for that God has preferred in bounty one of them over another, and for that they have expended of their property. Righteous women are therefore obedient, guarding the secret for God’s guarding. And those you fear may be rebellious admonish; banish them to their couches, and beat them” (4:34).
Michelle Obama also said: “Maybe you see the news and see people talking about your religion, and wonder if anyone will ever see beyond your headscarf.”
Her husband said the same thing in his notorious speech in Cairo in 2009: that the U.S. would protect the right of women to wear hijab. But who is infringing on that right? No one. And who is not seeing beyond the headscarf? Michelle Obama meant “Islamophobes,” but the real people these girls have to fear regarding their headscarves are the Muslim men who will kill them if they don’t wear it.
Aqsa Parvez was murdered by her father and her brother for not wearing the headscarf. Innumerable other Muslim women have been similarly victimized. Who speaks for them? Who stands for their rights? Not Michelle Obama.
Tell us, Mrs. Obama, about your oppression and disadvantage, from your position emanating from the highest and most powerful office in the free-est country in the world.
Tell us how wronged you were in between your multiple daily wardrobe changes of the most expensive designer clothes in the world. Tell us how awful it was for you to get accepted and attend Princeton University (along with your brother) in your youth and make your own choices to live your life any way you wanted.
Vicious hypocrite.

But never have I heard him say he has seen himself in an average everyday white American.
And apparently Michelle doesn’t see herself in the average everyday American either. The day that these two get the hell out of the white house cannot come fast enough.

Not long ago, Obama was seen as “The Hope and Answer ” to all the problems of the entire world. He was awarded the Peace Prize of all peace prizes without doing a thing, mind you.. The Liberal women saw him as a very, very sexy man.
It doesn’t seem as though the “Hope And Change” BS he preached to the world is working out like people had hoped for. Perhaps they didn’t understand what he really meant.
I’m starting to think, perhaps, just perhaps the Americans that put this guy in office
“TWICE”, may have been “Dumber Than A Rock”.
I’m probably wrong but we’ll see how it all works out.
Just a passing thought. Please correct me if I’m wrong.

Like CAIR, Michelle also pushes the “victim” narrative, and has for decades. She does have that in common with them. She did not come from a struggling, victimized background in the south side of Chicago. She had a very middle-classed upbringing and took full advantage of everything affirmitive action had to offer — attending elite universities and handed a high-paying job right out of school. Then she met the boy king and has lived a luxurious lifestyle ever since.

if she made average americans gag at the sight of her shameless sucking up to islam, can you imagine what it was like for us brits? no way was it even a representative british school. i doubt if she has ever had a hard day in her life. i truly dont understand what part or position under a shariah society that she and her shariah friendly husband think they will play. there are so many people in positions of power that seem to have made some kind of faustian deal with islam, that they will have a part in the “new order” so to speak. for example: all the police officers in my country that arrest white christians for “racism” at demos but form a protective cordon around muslims, will they be rewarded for their loyalty to islam? or all the social workers and councilors who protected the muslim rape gangs, will they be rewarded with a cushy job under sharia?……. keep sticking it to them pam

Don’t you dare to talk about Winston Churchill’s courage – he was an ultimate COWARD and a SELLOUT! Winston Churchill bears moral responsibility for a half-century of communist enslavement of the Polish AND Jewish people!
The first betrayal came with the British guarantee to Poland, after
Neville Chamberlain was exposed as a dupe when Adolf Hitler tore up his
Munich pact and marched into Prague. As Hitler pressed Poland for the
return of Danzig, stripped from Germany after World War I, and demanded
rail and road transit to the city across a “Polish Corridor” also taken
from Germany, Warsaw, encouraged by British Foreign Secretary Lord
Halifax, refused even to negotiate. The Poles were assured that if war
came, Britain would be at their side.
But when Hitler invaded Poland from the west and Stalin invaded from
the east, Britain declared war on Germany alone. Then, the British sat
behind the Maginot Line while Poland was crucified. The British had
goaded the Poles into standing up to Hitler though they had no plans to
save or rescue Poland.
Six million Poles and 2 million Jews would die as a result of having trusted this cur and a poltroon!

The British had every intention of helping Poland,hence her declaration of war on Germany although at that time Germany had no hostile intentions toward the British Empire. No one in Britain foresaw the rapid collapse of the French and her surrender.That left Britain and her Empire totally alone;America at this stage had no intention of helping ,preferring to wait to see if Britain collapsed. As a non militaristic Empire,but rather one based on trade,Britain had a small army;luckily she had a very large Navy and therefore could hold her own until our military capability caught up. Without France Britain had no chance of helping Poland,she could just about protect her own people and sprawling Empire which relied almost entirely on Britain for protection.
Churchill was warning Britain and the world about Hitler for years ,trying to convince them that Hitler was serious about his world ambitions and plans for the Jews;but no one listened.He was calling for Britain to re-arm(after WW1 Britain ran her army right down from war time levels and slashed defence spending),but everybody ,especially the Socialists called him a war monger.
Churchill campaigned in America tirelessly for American aid and ,ideally ,military commitment.In those days America did not look upon Britain as a natural ally,in fact America saw her as a rival and actually had plans for a British war on the back burner. Britain’s problems were exacerbated by the U.S forcing her to give up a good alliance with Japan a few years earlier.America feared this gave Britain far too much influence and power in the Pacific and threatened to overturn the balance of power by a massive ship building programme if Britain did not reject a renewal of the Japanese treaty.This left Britain vulnerable in the East and insulted and infuriated Japan.
Another problem was than Britain had opposed Italy’s war on Abyssinia which made an enemy of her,another complication to contend with. In those days,apart from a small number of Anglophile Americans in the upper classes,the American people knew nothing of Britain and cared less. They did NOT want to go to war to support the “imperialist” “limeys” whom they thought had it coming.Only after Britain won the Battle of Britain did America think that it might be worth supporting her;then of course Japan attacked Pearl Harbour.
Churchill used all his powers to get America to agree to fighting the European war first,Japanese last,in order to free Europe as promised. At the end of the war Churchill wanted to attack Russia if she refused to give up Eastern Europe but he was over ruled by the Americans and the Socialists at home. If Churchill had had his way Poland would never have been given to the Soviets,or any other country given away either.
He was, of course, concerned with the well being and preservation of the Empire but again America decided that this would be a good time to put the boot in to a badly wounded British lion and called in debts and stopped loans,but only to Britain.
I don’t blame America for this,she wanted her place at the top table and took her opportunity to wrest power from the severely wounded and impoverished British Empire(America had taken all Britain’s gold refusing pounds for payment) In fact Britain handed the baton to America,her rebellious offspring ,and the Anglo American system and ethics of power was carried on by the U.S ;she used a slightly different method but all her laws,concepts of freedom and morality came from the British,even her Constitution is based on the English bill of rights.
Without Churchill there is no doubt that Germany would have conquered all Europe and made life very uncomfortable for the U.S.

Erma Bombeck once wrote a piece about a woman who felt that her position as wife and mother was beneath her talents. She described the woman as looking at her hapless husband and thinking, “if it wasn’t for you, I could have been Joan Collins.”

I have often wondered why “black” or African-Americans or whatever they are allowing themselves to be categorised as nowadays, take themselves so seriously . The opinions of this politician by marriage is of absolutely no importance to anyone here in Britain,and probably no where else either. In Britain we have enough problems with the ever increasing demands of Islam without this self righteous self appointed ,know nothing spokesman for Islam coming here and winding them up with her stupid ,faux sympathy with people who don’t need sympathy ;they have perfectly good lives in Britain.The weak kneed politicians allow the Islamic atrocities against women and girls to continue despite the outrage of individuals,overwhelmingly from the white indigenous British.I suggest Mrs obama keeps her nose out of British affairs;as a matter of fact most of us don’t like her husband either and are sick of him trying to influence British politics ,especially with regards to Britain’s membership of the E,U which most British,well English at least, would like to end.It’s bad enough that the American voters elected this moron Obama ,and his anti British wife ,twice;you keep them both U.S.A ,we’ve got enough mealy mouthed ,duplicitous anti English politicians of our own.
