This is yet another vicious hit piece from the Daily News, but I thought it worth posting because I was in extensive threat assessment meetings with the NYPD today, and they’re on the job. If the Islamic State wants to get to me, they’re going to have to go through the NYPD.

The NYPD has been in touch with Manhattan resident Pamela Geller, who organized the controversial Prophet Muhammad drawing contest in Texas, about a threat to her safety lodged by ISIS.
The murderous Islamic State wants to lop the head off an Muslim-hating Manhattan blogger — and the NYPD is taking that threat seriously.
So it’s “Muslim-hating” to fight for the freedom of speech, the freedom of conscience, equality of rights of all before the law, and individual rights? That assumption says more about the Daily News than it does about me.
“We have been in touch with Pamela Geller,” police spokesman Stephen Davis told The Daily News on Wednesday. “People known to be associated with ISIS have posted a direct threat to her. To whatever extent she will be in New York City, we will do a comprehensive threat assessment to determine what, if any measures, to take.”
“We have to treat it like it’s a direct threat because they named her — and we informed her,” Davis added.
Geller has been the target of threats before.
Back on June 9, 2008, she filed an aggravated harassment complaint with the NYPD against a man named Yousef Al-Khattab, claiming he posted numerous menacing videos on her website and that she felt in danger.
Khattab posted what he thought was her home address and severely creepy videos that obviously indicated that he meant to do her harm. He was the fellow who used to flaunt his evil gleefully: one of his YouTube videos depicted him laughing and eating popcorn while watching the Daniel Pearl beheading video.
Geller, who lives on the Upper East Side, declined to discuss how she is protecting herself, but sources said she has hired her own private security.
“This threat illustrates the savagery and barbarism of the Islamic State,” Geller said in an email to The News. “They want me dead for violating Sharia blasphemy laws.”
Geller, 55, is in the crosshairs of ISIS for sponsoring the Prophet Muhammad cartoon drawing contest in Texas, where two Islam fanatics were killed over the weekend in a shootout with a cop.
In a posting on the message board JustPasteIt, ISIS said it was sending “all our Lions to achieve her slaughter.”
“Our aim was the khanzeer (swine) Pamela Geller and to show her that we don’t care what land she hides in or what sky shields her,” it said.
“The attack by the Islamic State in America is only the beginning of our efforts to establish a wiliyah in the heart of our enemy,” the message continued, apparently misspelling the Arabic word “wilayah,” which means authority or governance.
This was the first time ISIS claimed credit for a terror attack on U.S. soil. Lawmakers, however, suspect the slain gunmen were inspired by ISIS, not taking orders from them.
How vile and biased is the Daily News? They go then for extensive comment about me not to my partner Robert Spencer, or to Geert Wilders, or Bosch Fawstin, or any number of other people I have worked with and whom they could have and should have consulted. Instead, they went to…Charles Johnson, the twisted turncoat blogger who betrayed all of his principles and his friends to join the leftist lemmings. I was never close to Charles Johnson. I met him once — and he gives a highly colored and inaccurate account of that meeting here. Our meeting at that time was completely friendly, although Johnson himself was vapid and off-putting; the Daily News doesn’t mention that a few years later he turned against not just me but everything he had stood for and everyone he had stood with, and has attacked us all vindictively from his dwindling platform ever since. The man is sick. He’s not a neutral, objective source — but the Daily News would interview Charles Manson if he would give them negative quotes about me.
Charles Johnson, who inadvertently gave Geller her start back in 2005 by allowing her to spew venom on his Little Green Footballs political blog, said “it’s pretty obvious she had been trying to incite this kind of violence.”
“She finally has gotten what she wanted,” Johnson said, when asked if Geller relished being an ISIS target. “She is going to be milking this for all it’s worth.”…
They want to kill me and the man says this. He is truly and deeply vile.

And islam is an aggressive ideology that is conducting jihad war against much of the world right now, that’s the issue. There is no defense for islam. It’s a brutal and demented ideology with hundreds of millions of adherents. It’s probably humanity’s biggest challenge right now.
There’s truth in what you say, all religious extremists are crazy, but not in the same way as islam. One is like a harmless nut in an institution, the other a serial killer. I think that’s a distinction worth making.

“Tolerance of religion” doesn’t mean that any criticism or mockery of
religion is forbidden. It’s only Muslims who think that way — or
rather, they believe that Islam alone should be shielded from any criticism.
Tolerance of religion means that I am free to express my religious belief that the Islamic “prophet” was evil.
Christians and Jews don’t go around slaughtering people because their feelings where hurt; Muslims do. Christianity and Judaism don’t prescribe a death penalty for “blasphemy”; Islam does. Christianity and Judaism don’t command their adherents to attack “unbelievers” and force them to “submit”; Islam does.

It makes me wonder how many “moderates” would want Pam dead too. They may not pull the trigger or swing the whip, but would they not be happy? If they want sharia then wouldn’t they also want to see her “punished” for her “blasphemy”? It’s a reminder of the potential threat we have with these people, social saboteurs that can change at the drop of a hat. We saw their true colors when Pam spoke at Brooklyn College, obnoxious, disrespectful, intimidating, and fully dedicated to their barbaric faith. I don’t trust any of them.
It’s naive to think muslims want sharia but would not enforce it if given the chance, like an alcoholic wanting booze but not wanting to drink it. Nonsense! of course they would. As for the backlash, my guess is it’s going to be really bad when it comes. A few scenes in the West comparable to what they do and have done in Syria, Nigeria and elsewhere and it’s going to be crap hits the fan time. The longer it’s put off the worse it will be.

I think the main thing right now is to let Pamela know we are 100% behind her at this time. I would feel very confident if I knew the NYPD Terrorist task force had my back. There is not a finer Unit in the world. But if she needs any $ for further security, we should all be willing to donate what we can afford to give. If it quacks like a duck, walks like a duck its a duck!:-) Racists do not have to be identified, they identify themselves by that which proceeds from their very own mouths, this lady is her own worst enemy, a Fatwa can be a serious issue, since like Geller appeals to social misfits, various white supremacists who are capable of violence these Muslim extremists also appeal to same social misfits but on the opposite side of the hate/racism coin! I think anyone within 100′ of her or her events is in need of some really good life insurance, since the folks she has angered tend to try more than once to do their evil, there is a old corny saying one reaps what one sows, sow hate and you will reap it!

Islam is no race, you embarrass yourself by concluding Pam G. is a racist. Religion is a choice, she holds Muslims accountable for, which you are too lazy to do.
Pam would embrace people of all colors, races if they left Islam. Example Rifkah Bary, who converted to Christianity.
Sow hate, yes, she does. and she get’s hate aplenty, as is as it should be in a democracy.
But she should be very safe, because she never took a life, she never advocated any violence. Thank you for affirming then, that she will not reap violence, having never sowed it and only die in ripe old age.

Absolute Disgusting, this woman never made any distinction between normal muslims and radicals, She forgets We Americans have foreign relations with Saudi Arabia, Egypt , Turkey and other muslim countries. She has no problem with insulting all at once and bringing danger to the lives of Texas citizens. Please Amanda, you must know the difference between physical harm and killing and what Pamela does! Which is absolutely non-violent. Why do you care so much about the feelings of Muslims? Do all Muslims care so much about the feelings of Kuffars, Jews?
Unles you protest as much to hate speech by muslims as to hate speech to muslims, you create an unbalance! Either discourage both or none, either allow both or none! What’s with the one-sided condemnation?

True, but it is also because many of them, not all, themselves make it very hard for us to do so.
And: Extremist Muslims kill,
and maybe, just maybe, Islam and all Muslims prophit from it, with all the ensuing respect for Islam and restraint, exercised by media. And, prophit through, surprise, the fact that after each murderous attack by extremists, more praise and support for Islam is given by Obama, Cameron and other politicians, and some media.

I worry about you Pam. I’m glad the NYPD is protecting you. You’re a hero. I can’t believe how our country has changed. We must never give in to evil but that’s what so many are advocating.
I was taught from a child in the 40s that everyone could say what they wanted, and if someone didn’t like it, they could leave the scene. Freedom was more important than someone’s feelings.
If Muslims can’t tolerate American freedom of speech then leave our country. We’re not changing for them.

Some people are racists, bigots, quietly practice their trade, some do it publically, loudly as she does and others do in form of media, sometimes nothing happens to them, sometimes something does, now a Fatwa issued might be nothing or it might be her notice to find a bunker and hunker down and hire some good security, but her days of just living free and roaming with no worries is over if I miss my guess, the folks who she has spewed hate towards are as hateful as she is, guess some might say they deserve one another! I for one will merely observe, watch the news, and anyone attending her events, coming within 100′ of her might need some very good life insurance, out of 1 billion Muslims, 99.9% are not going to do nothing but dislike her, its that .01% that she has to worry about!

Curious how sometimes you are half right, half wrong in my opinion.
If both are hateful but only verbal, non-violent, while others are loving or silent, it is only normal and OK. So unnecessary to try to discourage “verbal hate”, especially if people, with double standards, only try to discourage one side, because of elevated expectations, but not the other side, because of lowered expectations.
But much as the terrorists deserve her, the opposite could not be more wrong. And if you equate mere verbal hate with killing, well, what a strange morality you have.
