Home of the Brave ….. and the Cowardly

37

Robert Spencer opines on Joseph Farah’s column today at WND. I am humbled by these words. It’s not courage, it’s knowing with every fiber of my being that what we are fighting for is right and true. Freedom.

And while my detractors are vicious and cowardly, the Garland free speech shooting has thoroughly exposed these yellow-bellied bullies to the American public.

“Meet the bravest woman in America,” By , Jihadwatch, May 15, 2015

GellerSpencerThe Muhammad Art Exhibit and Cartoon Contest that Pamela Geller and I organized and hosted in Garland, Texas on May 3, along with the jihad attack upon it, has become a defining issue. It has led to a national conversation about the nature of the freedom of speech, its importance, and what should or should not be its limits. It has exposed many people who appeared to be strong defenders of freedom to be cowards and appeasers. It has revealed that many key media players and people in key positions of authority have no idea of the nature and magnitude of the jihad threat, and no awareness of the war on free speech — much less any understanding of why the freedom of speech matters at all. It has revealed that many important opinion-makers neither appreciate nor value the freedom of speech, and don’t even really grasp what it is. It has likewise revealed others to be unexpectedly strong defenders of freedom. Some people I had thought were strong-minded and open-eyed have proved to be cowardly and blinkered. Other people I had suspected were trimmers and appeasers have shone brightly in their honesty and courage on this issue.

Story continues below advertisement

Those who have defended free speech in the wake of the jihad attack while heaping scorn upon Pamela Geller, and those who have fastidiously tried to protect themselves from the Left’s inevitable guilt-by-association smears by throwing in a line like, “Now mind you, I don’t agree with everything Pamela Geller says,” or “Now of course Pamela Geller’s approach is not something I agree with” or some such, quite simply disgust me. Pamela Geller has more clear-sighted awareness of the threat this nation faces, and more courage and resoluteness in facing it, than anyone in America today — especially those who are sitting in their armchairs today and sniffing at her for being “outrageous” and “provocative” while she has to live the rest of her life knowing that at any moment some jihadi maniac will try to get to his virgins by killing her. Yet people are acting these days as if she was the one with the AK-47 outside our event, or as if there would be no jihad threat against America were it not for her and for our Muhammad cartoon contest.

They won’t be able to keep up this denial much longer. It simply won’t be possible. The Islamic State has issued a detailed manual for jihad terror attacks and regular bloodshed in the streets of the United States and the nations of Western Europe. That is coming. To cower and say, “We won’t draw cartoons, we won’t do anything to offend you” not only will not stop this from coming, but it will embolden the jihadis, who always step up their game when they see weakness in their prey.

They see weakness in the U.S. That’s because the U.S. is weak. Not militarily, but societally. Culturally. Fewer and fewer people understand and value the principles upon which a free society is based. Fewer and fewer people are willing to stand to defend those principles. Cowards, trimmers, appeasers and open allies of the enemies of freedom abound.

Pamela Geller is standing for freedoms upon which the free world depends. That so few of power and influence are standing with her shows how severe the crisis really is.

These days are revealing many who were thought to be true to be false, and many who were thought to be false to be true. As a defender of freedom, Pamela Geller is the truest of the true. It is my immense honor to work with her, and to call her my friend.

“Meet the bravest woman in America,” by Joseph Farah, WND, May 15, 2015:

She’s been caricatured.

She’s been verbally tarred and feathered.

She’s been vilified, reviled, smeared, defamed and disparaged.

But something keeps Pam Geller going. Do you know what it is? It’s her love for her country and her passion for liberty.

For weeks now, I’ve been watching my friend Pam Geller taking media punches from the left and right for her private event in Garland, Texas, featuring Geert Wilders, another freedom fighter – an event attacked by armed jihadists who have determined to “slaughter” Pam Geller for her campaign to expose radical Islam’s vicious worldwide crusade against freedom, against women, against Jews, against Christians, against life and against everything but its own peculiar seventh-century view of the world.

Bill O’Reilly had the audacity to accuse Geller of “spurring” the attack with her event promoting freedom of speech.

Really?

So by criticizing a worldwide movement responsible for the ongoing genocide against Christians in the Middle East, the subjugation of women, a pattern of female genital mutilation, the ruthless beheading and crucifying and burning alive of its victims, she was spurring the attack? She was inviting it? She was goading them? Her motivation was to serve as a catalyst to an attack on her and her event?

Donald Trump said essentially the same thing, as did the New York Times and most of the handwringing media elite.

Others were satisfied to call Geller an Islamophobe.

That’s a good one. That’s rich.

This made-up word denotes someone who fears Islam. That’s hardly the case with Geller. It’s probably much more true of Geller’s most vocal critics, who, I suggest, think they buy cover from the violent Islamic radicals by bashing their enemies.

Join Pamela Geller in her fight to retain free-speech rights and the uniquely American culture — read “Stop The Islamization Of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance”

Have you ever wondered by so many leftists are soft on Shariah? Leftists say they support everything that Islam detests – “gay rights,” women’s rights, free expression, peace on earth. But they watch tacitly as Islam runs roughshod over their entire agenda. What gives?

Ultimately, it comes down to the left’s ideological commitment to “multiculturalism,” which began as a back-door assault against Western values and morphed into a war with Judeo-Christian ethics, America and Israel. Suddenly, they found common ground with the barbarians who behead anyone doesn’t lie prostrate before Allah five times a day.

Geller is no Islamophobe, a term which suggests cowardice. That’s a laugh. She’s probably the bravest women in America today.

It’s her critics who are the cowards.

Some of them, I am convinced, are even motivated to criticize her because they fear being associated with her strong stand against hatred, against murder, against torture, against rape and against their unholy war. Perhaps they believe they might be spared the kind of abuse and attacks she has experienced by creating a little space between Geller and themselves. Good luck with that! Radical Islam makes no distinctions between courageous enemies and cowardly ones. It doesn’t discriminate in its scorched-earth policies. They even murder Muslims who disagree with them about the chain of command after Muhammad died.

So throw out the Islamophobe term. It has lost its usefulness, if, indeed, it ever had any.

I’m with Pam Geller. I’m no Islamophobe. It’s just that when I see murder and torture and rape and genocide, I feel compelled to speak out about it, to resist it and to call evil what it is. I don’t know any other way. And neither does Pam Geller.

And that’s why I’m proud to call her my friend.

That’s why she’s the bravest woman in America.

And that’s why she needs and deserves the support of all freedom-loving Americans.

David fought Goliath.

Pamela Geller fights the Shariamonster – which makes Goliath look like a butterfly.

“Prophet” Muhammad’s Shariamonster, also known as “Islam,” wants to decapitate our freedom of speech.

Say “NO” To Muhammad’s Shariamonster, and say “NO” to Islam!

I stand with Pamela and Robert. Their names will go down in history with the likes of Patrick Henry and those who fought fought for individual freedoms and liberty. The event if Garland, Texas has separated the men from the boys. We know leaders of the conservative movement cannot be the likes of Donald Trump or Chris Christie. The voice of the conservative movement cannot be the likes of Bill O’Reilly and Laura Ingram. Only those willing to stand up for the truth, our constitution, and freedom of speech without limits are up to the task.

Sadly, I’d prefer to see a benevolent dictator stand up at a presidential candidate debate, and declare his presidency, declare that his first act will be to throw in jail every congressman, the supreme court, every libtard judge, every libtard governor and mayor, etc, etc. And say that he will do these items on day 1 in office, then list them for all to see. With the current populace there is NO possibility to fix our problems using the ballot box and the current form of government. It’s broke and it cannot be fixed. Yes, dictatorships usually end badly, but there is no other possible fix – and even with one man rule by a good man our problems may be unfixable.

I agree, when the system is corrupt how can you hope to reform it from within? Who knows how many judges, LEO’s, legislators and governors are on the take or otherwise compromised by islamic-nazi petrodollars?

“Suddenly, they found common ground with the barbarians who behead anyone doesn’t lie prostrate before Allah five times a day.” – While I do not disagree with
your premise I do believe they have found common ground long before now. It
comes from the top down control of society that is coveted by the left. True
they do not approve of even the supposed Theocracy of Islam but they do agree
with the resultant social order that is created. The left’s god is government
and many of their faithful have proven for many generations now that they
believe that the end justify the means.

You’re more or less right. The New Left back in the ’60’s and early ’70’s tried a violent revolution and got clobbered. The New Left today uses Muslims nowadays as its storm troopers to attack Western Society. The lust for total power and to kill those it envies still drives the Left and the Jihadists supply the assault force, as in Obama’s and Hillary’s appeasement and wrecking of the Middle East.

Please forgive my ignorance but I’m only partially sure that I comprehend what you are referring to as the New Left but rest assure that the violent revolution of the 60’s and 70’s wasn’t as ‘clobbered’ as they have portrayed themselves – especially considering their true size which was much smaller than media ever portray. The only group that I would say truly was dealt a harsh blow were the pacifist and that was simply due to the continual integrity of military personnel. Even stating that we are still dealing with the Kerry’s and Fonda’s of that group. The rest were simply marginalized or failed to maintain a headline but have remained and joined together with what I would assume you refer to as the new left.

Pamela has inspired many who detest the whole basis of Islam and Jihad. There are many people living as Muslims who would leave Islam if they could do so in comparative safety. One Muslim who has left Islam and tells the world about it is worth 10 non-Muslims who tell the world about their distaste for this ‘religion’. Thus efforts should be made by all who enter the battle actively to ensure that those Muslims who wish to leave Islam will be safe from death penalty for apostasy.

Better to keep them from coming to our country in the first place to save us the trouble of having to monitor and/or convert them. We should change our immigration policies back to the way they used to be, and try to attract educated immigrants from European countries with value systems similar to our own. We should start by bringing in EU citizens who are being oppressed under the Hate Speech laws which prohibit truthful discussion of Islam.

Unfortunately, many understand “pursuit of happiness” as to always have fun and comfort for themselves. It’s OK for them to kick the can down the road and leave the bloodbath to children and grandchildren. Only few understand that we need to act now in united front to deal with radical Islam.

“Some of them, I am convinced, are even motivated to criticize her because they fear being associated with her strong stand against hatred, against murder, against torture, against rape and against their unholy war. ”

I certainly think there is a lot of that, but I also believe some of them are jealous of her. They know that they don’t have the courage that she does and so they have to lash out at her and bring her down a notch. They know that she is the person they wished they were and will never be.

I was amazed how many people at some of the conservative blogs had to throw in a dig at Pamela before agreeing with her. I let them know how cheap it was.

it has been an interesting few months since the Charlie Hebdo atrocity. That
event seemed to provide a context for us to gauge the merit and quality of our leaders. Later, remember how barry o’bummer spat, hissed and shook his fists at Netanyahu. Like, when you put them side by side, it is plain obvious barry has no character or actual leadership qualities or vision . He is so paltry it beggars language to even try to express it. And, this, sadly, is the most that can be said for most of the emend /mslsd et al. But I do want to cheer Megan Kelly. MEGA . Kelly is King she made bill look like a dufus and he KNEW it.
I try not to have any expectations from politicians, so when they actually do something that is principled and actually in the national interest, I can be pleasantly surprised.

Pamela Geller has more clear-sighted awareness of the threat this nation faces, and more courage and resoluteness in facing it, than anyone in America today”

Spencer is so right about that. I think it’s safe to say that dear Pamela Geller is the most courageous woman in America confronting islam, maybe even the world. And that’s not false praise, I really mean this. Think about it, what other woman do we know that works as hard as she in battling islam’s human rights violations and JIHAD intentions. I luv her, and always speak highly of her to others with the greatest admiration and pride. And I enjoy it when others say, “Who’s that?” because then I get the joy of telling them. It’s the perfect opportunity to open that window into the madness that is islam, and to inform them of our chief advocate and defender, Pamela Geller.

And ya know, when a guy like Robert Spencer praises you, it’s gotta feel good. I’m so grateful we have these two dear friends working together for my–our–freedoms, by exposing the criminality that is so prevalent in islam. I’m not spiritual, but if I were, I’d say these two were sent from god.

That cartoon is almost perfect. (I especially love the “See back” on the sign!)

I say it’s almost perfect because it has “radical Islam”. Let’s lose that already, shall we? I understand the desire to distinguish between Muslims who are peaceful and those who are not. I agree with that distinction.

But we are talking about Islam here. There are not two kinds of Islam, one “radical” and the other “non-radical”.

Islam is Islam!

Ms Pamela Geller and Mr Robert Spencer are great and will be protected. But what they are saying is nothing new, however due to the social media it seems to be new. The best book on Muhammed (Be Piss be Upon Him) is written by the late French Maxime Rodinson. In the early 1990s I used to say the same on Speakers Corner in London and got stabbed twice by the religion of peace.

No, it’s very old. It’s just the same old courage, patriotism, and good morals we see now and then in individuals who feel the need to be exceptional for humanity. Yawn. 😉

I agree with everything Robert Spencer said. Why won’t the rest of America wake up, where are the church leaders in this? Apparently they don’t believe any of the righteousness that they preach. They don’t stand in strength, they kneel in cowardice. They have the time to do the research. BUT THEY DON’T. Take you’re “Onward Christian Soldiers” Hymn out of the book and burn it. Because any and all Christians are Cowards that can’t make a Stand. Won’t make a stand. Hitler was 100% right because Christians are 100% Pussies. They don’t have the guts to back up their words with any kind of action. Die as a coward Christian.

I also stand with Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer. They are right, we do have and should practice freedom of speech and of the press. This is especially true when the subject is the child-molesting “prophet” Mohammed. We should show our disgust for him in any lawful way we can. I have ordered a T-shirt with the “bombhead” Mohammed caricature on the front, and if the company will print it I will wear it.

The cartoon captures the cowardliness of all the so-called fighters of “radical Islam” that believe they can’t appease the Islamophobia hysteria by throwing Pamela Geller under the bus. We know who they are.

The worse is Abe Foxman. After properly opposing the Ground Zero Mosque and getting flack from the likes of Fareed Zakaria, his ADL went after Geller in an attempt to throw Geller under the bus and say to the Islamophobia mob “see, we’re not like her.” It didn’t help him.

Or take Cathy Young, or Bill O’Reilly, or any other so-called right-wing self-proclaimed opponent of “radical” Islam. Once again, they think that giving the enemy Geller will inoculate them against charges of Islamophobia. They would have given Hitler the Sudetenland had they been alive back then.

For all of these cowards, there are other writers on National Review and PJM who for the first time have defended Pamela’s actions without “buts.” If they do have differences they’ve kept quiet at a time when standing united is most important.

Yesterday I found myself defending Pam’s cartoon contest to a co-parishioner (who happens to be married to a muslim). We were having coffee and she happened to bring up “this woman who held this contest”. And that she shouldn’t be “inciting” people. I told her that the REAL problem is that we have no world leaders who want to deal with this problem! I told her that Pam was AT LEAST right about not caving to terrorism! That you can’t KILL people even if they are a bunch of jackasses! That the fact that her husband (the muslim) and his family (who are in the process of trying to get settled in other countries after fleeing Iraq) are suffering because of ISLAMISTS and that there are just VERY FEW WORDS TO USE. And that it is up to muslims (like her husband) who are just going to the mosque and raising families to pressure THEIR leaders to reform the quran and stop telling everyone else out here to “stop painting everyone with the same brush”. Not just ten people, not just 10,000 people, BUT THEIR ENTIRE COMMUNITY needs to take care of this problem. And I reminded her, that we CATHOLICS have to go through everybody’s attitude toward OUR religion. And that the CHURCH EXPECTS us to deal with everyone else’s shit. Basically, I told her that MUSLIMS are just going to have to pony up and GROW UP and, no pun intended, but it IS “their cross to bear” and no one else can do it for them. And should terrorists succeed in world domination, they will have no use for the quran, allah, islam or anything else. The QURAN is just an excuse to run riot on the rest of the world. She seemed to understand what I mean. HOPEFULLY she took that message HOME.
