Sickening people masquerading as a synagogue. Temple Israel of Boston is hosting an event this week which features people who support a boycott of Israel, people who oppose the Jewish State – why would a synagogue let them speak?
On April 23, their guest speakers are Daniel Sokatch, New Israel Fund CEO, & Jeremy Ben-Ami, J Street President: What Now? in a discussion moderated by Rebecca Polivy, Director of Programming at Encounter. All three of them are Anti-Israel activists.

Benny Yanay of an Israeli military organization called Consensus, representing some 3,000 members of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), stated, “The New Israel Fund acts against Israel — against the soldiers of our country. It is supported by foreign governments and organizations so that Israeli soldiers will be weakened.” Knesset Deputy Speaker Yoni Chetboun added that the NIF was bent on “erasing the Jewish identity from the Jewish State.” One can go on and on about how the NIF is Anti-Israel.
The “moderator” from Encounter is an organization which is also Anti-Israel – according to UK Media Watch during a recent trip to Israel:
- The Jewish participants spent the entire time listening to Palestinian views. There was never an opportunity by Jewish participants to even briefly explain the Jewish/Israeli narrative. Indeed, such ‘counter narratives’ were explicitly forbidden by the program organizers.
- Not one Palestinian, when discussing their long-term vision for the region, advocated a two-state solution, nor expressed any empathy for Jewish aspirations.
- Several presenters (such as ‘Comment is Free’ contributor Sam Bahour) quite explicitly advocated a one-state solution.
- One Palestinian presenter, named Shirin, told us that, in the absence of a one-state solution, there is going to be a bloodbath. In response to this, most participants clapped.
- The resentment towards us (Jews/Israelis) was really intense. They clearly hate Zionism, and Zionists, with a passion.
To put this “peaceful” encounter, organized by Americans who fancy themselves progressive, in some perspective, note that one of the featured speakers was ‘Comment is Free’ contributor, Sam Bahour Bahour is affiliated with ‘Al Shabaka’ (a group which opposes all Palestinian Authority negotiations with Israel), has signed the Stuttgart declaration calling for a one-state solution (a resolution signed by activists representing both Islamism and the radical left), and, in a previous CiF piece, sanitized the death and carnage of the 2nd intifada as a mere “civil uprising” which the Arab world would be wise to emulate.
Does it really need to be asked how anyone claiming the mantle of peace can legitimize the call for the end of the Jewish state? At the end of the day, what programs like ‘Encounter’ truly represent are efforts to tell morally vulnerable U.S. Jews that their spiritual salvation, their moral redemption for the original sin of the Jewish state’s creation, lie in Israel’s complete capitulation.”
Beinart’s entire existence is dedicated to harming Israel every single day.
Birthright boycotts New Israel Fund, the government of Israel says they are “Anti-Zionist” – Those who care about Israel should urge Temple Israel of Boston to immediately cancel this extremist event.
Democratic strategist Hank Sheinkopf says shun New Israel Fund as they stand with terrorists – and the Jews of Temple Israel run to them. Shame on them.

I wish you all would stop calling them Kapos. The Kapos were in an extreme situation and chose to do anything, no matter how low, to survive. THESE scum are NOT in an extreme situation they merrily sell-out their own people and NO one is making them do it.

Unfortunately, many Jewish Kapos were more sadistic than the SS – as was ruefully noted by Oskar Schindler himself in his personal writings.
Of course, you’re correct to characterize this bunch as “sell-out scum.”
The writer refers to them as “morally vulnerable U.S. Jews.”

Rather than cancelling the event, Pamela or Robert should challenge those kapos to a debate. If the synagogue refuses to allow them to appear to counter this islamofascist propaganda, it tells you all you need to know about the “rabbi”.
I have heard that there were Jews who supported the Nazis during WWII. Why haven’t they been arrested and prosecuted? I wonder if the same families are betraying the Jewish people today?

Sandra, for some left wing Jews their politics are more important than their religion or ethnicity. That’s why people have to be judged on their actions.
Left wing (and Islamic) leaders latch onto “Jewish” left wingers because they are presumed to have Israel’s interest at heart. You are making the same mistake. This same false presumption is why publishers and broadcasters give them a platform.
Unfortunately they have every right to proclaim their holier-than-thou juvenile ideology. However we shouldn’t see them as bad Jews, but as people who are bad for the Jews. The “self-hating Jew” or other pseudo analysis is a waste of time. We know Islam hates the Jews and have to deal with it. Many left wingers hate Israel and we have to deal with them too.

As revolting as I find the views of these speakers they should not be banned from speaking. The tactic of banning speech is used far too often against Ms. Geller and other stalwarts such as Ayaan Ali Hirsi. I, for one, do not fear anything they may say. The truth of the savagery displayed every day by the devout of Islam speaks louder than their efforts at obfuscation. Protests of any kind would only help spread their propaganda.

I am astonished, still I think they are lead into this mistake, and they are lead to believe that this is the right way to act. They are so wrong. Try to live among the Gazzans as observant Jews and they will have a big surprise stored in for them.
There is no religious equality in Islam, either you display submission or you are doomed.

I prefer the terms collaborator or quisling or Fifth Columnist. I can understand why some Jews do not support the policies of whichever government is in power in Israel.; after all, we don’t necessarily support the policies of whichever government is in power in our own country. But what I find impossible to understand is why they support the total destruction of the State of Israel. Are there any other states that they would like to see destroyed or wiped off the face of the earth?

This is a Reformed synagogue. The female intern rabbi is a lesbian with a partner named in the bio. So what else can you expect from people who only Jewish for show.

Obviously they do not believe G-d will keep His word. They need to read Gen.12:2-3, that is if their rabbi’s haven’t forbid the reading this portion of G-d’s Word.

These people hate their own race and religion! this is what happens to congregations which cave into sodomy and the legitimizing of same-sex relations they become warped in their conscience and defile themselves.they have no rights inside a Synagogue or Church to dictate their acceptance.there.they should start their own assembly and leave people of faith alone. they are like a disease which infects others and ruins good morals everywhere. such is the case here. and as for the NIF? I suspect the Mossad shall deal with them in a timely fashion.
