“Two Days After Sharing This ‘Open Letter’ to Obama on Facebook, Veteran Coach Was Handing in His Resignation,” The Blaze, April 6, 2015 (thanks to Paulo)
Story continues below advertisementTwo days after posting a controversial open letter to President Barack Obama, written by “An American Citizen,” on his personal Facebook page, a lacrosse coach said he was forced to resign by school officials at Fryeburg Academy in Fryeburg, Maine.
Scott Lees, who was the head coach of the boys lacrosse team for four years, said he shared the open letter because he thought it was “interesting.” The letter asks a series of questions about Muslims and their contributions to America. The author eventually suggests that Muslims do not do “anything that contributes positively to the American way of life.”
“I thought it was an interesting letter to President Obama and his current administration who are not paying attention to Israel and focusing on Iran,” Lees told the Conway Daily Sun.
Read the entire open letter, seemingly written in response to Obama’s 2009 speech in Cairo, below:
Dear Mr. Obama:
Have you ever seen a Muslim hospital?
Have you heard a Muslim orchestra?
Have you seen a Muslim band march in a parade?
Have you witnessed a Muslim charity?
Have you seen Muslims shak[ing] hands with Muslim Girl Scouts?
Have you seen a Muslim Candy Striper?
Have your seen a Muslim do anything that contributes positively to the American way of life????
The answer is no, you have not. Just ask yourself WHY???
Were those Muslims that were in America when the Pilgrims first landed? Funny, I thought they were Native American Indians.
Were those Muslims that celebrated the first Thanksgiving day? Sorry again, those were Pilgrims and Native American Indians.
Can you show me one Muslim signature on the United States Constitution? Declaration of Independence? Bill of Rights? Didn’t think so.
Did Muslims fight for this country’s freedom from England? No.
Did Muslims fight during the Civil War to free the slaves in America? No, they did not. In fact, Muslims to this day are still the largest traffickers in human slavery. Your own half-brother, a devout Muslim, still advocates slavery himself, even though Muslims of Arabic descent refer to black Muslims as “pug nosed slaves.” Says a lot of what the Muslim world really thinks of your family’s “rich Islamic heritage,” doesn’t it Mr. Obama?
Where were Muslims during the Civil Rights era of this country? Not present. There are no pictures or media accounts of Muslims walking side by side with Martin Luther King, Jr. or helping to advance the cause of Civil Rights.
Where were Muslims during this country’s Woman’s Suffrage era? Again, not present. In fact, devout Muslims demand that women are subservient to men in the Islamic culture. So much so, that often they are beaten for not wearing the ‘hajib’ or for talking to a man who is not a direct family member or their husband. Yep, the Muslims are all for women’s rights, aren’t they?
Where were Muslims during World War II? They were aligned with Adolf Hitler. The Muslim grand mufti himself met with Adolf Hitler, reviewed the troops and accepted support from the Nazis in killing Jews.
Finally, Mr. Obama, where were Muslims on Sept. 11th, 2001? If they weren’t flying planes into the World Trade Center, the Pentagon or a field in Pennsylvania killing nearly 3,000 people on our own soil, they were rejoicing in the Middle East.
No one can dispute the pictures shown from all parts of the Muslim world celebrating on CNN, Fox News, MSNBC and other cable news networks that day. Strangely, the very “moderate” Muslims who’s asses you bent over backwards to kiss in Cairo, Egypt on June 4th were stone cold silent post 9-11. To many Americans, their silence has meant approval for the acts of that day.
And THAT, Mr. Obama, is the “rich heritage” Muslims have here in America…
Oh, I’m sorry, I forgot to mention the Barbary Pirates. They were Muslims.
And now we can add November 5, 2009 – the slaughter of American soldiers at Fort Hood by a Muslim major, a doctor and a psychiatrist, who was supposed to be counseling soldiers returning from battle in Iraq and Afghanistan.
That, Mr. Obama is the “Muslim heritage” in America!
P.S. Now, you can add the Boston Marathon bombings, too…
Lees said he has never been fired in his life and has been coaching since 1992. He reportedly asked the school if they would consider allowing him to resign rather than putting the firing on his record, a request they apparently granted.
Lees also defended himself against claims that he is a bigot, noting that he once let a Muslim student stay in his home for nine days because he had to appear in court for a minor offense.
“If I had a problem with people who are Muslim, then why would I have allowed a Muslim to stay in my home?” he said.
Head of Schools Erin Mayo confirmed to the publication that “Scott Lees did post a message on Facebook regarding Muslim people last week that was negative and, of course, public in nature.”
“When it was brought to my attention, I requested that he remove it, which he did. Charlie Tryder and I then made an appointment to meet with Scott last Thursday morning. When he asked, (Thurston) recommended resignation. He did then resign, and the meeting didn’t happen,” Mayo said.

Violation of his right of free speech. I reposted that Open Letter on my Facebook Page and I hope it goes viral. Maybe if everyone who is against Obama’s “forcing Islam down our throats” policy will post it, keep posting it and send it directly to Obama , maybe the media will pick it up. We need everyone whomis against Obama ‘s policies to stand up and make themselves known and most important, heard. Hell no, we are ot going to just lay down and let Islam take over the US and allow Obama to ruin America withnthis international policies!!!

Even better – find out who is supporting Fryeburg Academy financially and ask them why they support isis and radical islam by donating to the academy. Federal and State funding should be cut off from that disgusting anti-constitutional place.

It’s a disgrace! In Europe we killed around 7 million Jews and imported 20+ million muslims. 20-30% of the world population are muslims – yet they have only won ca. 10 Nobel prizes. The approx. 0,02% of the Jews in the world got almost 200 Nobel prizes. This is shitty business. The muslims haven’t contributed to any good at all – not even to themselves!

No Noble Prizes in the physical sciences to any Muslim unless one counts physicist Mohammad Abdus Salam who left his country, in protest, after the Pakistan Parliament declared him and the entire Ahmadiyya Community as not-Islamic. As an Ahmadiyya he was clearly a heretic since the leader of his religion, Mirzā Ghulām Ahmad, advocated a peaceful propagation of Islam and emphatically argued against the permissibility of military Jihad in the present age. Hence I wouldn’t call him a Muslim, really.

Actually, the story is Abdus Salam’s Noble Prize has an additional entertaining twist. The epitaph on his grave stone in Pakistan originally included the phrase “The First Muslim Nobel Lauriate for his work in physics”. But as canto28 said, Salam was an Ahmadiyya. Some Pakistani Sunni therefore went to court and asked for an order to have the word Muslim removed from the grave stone. Which was duly granted. Leaving a grave stone with the mysterious and of false epitaph “The First Nobel Lauriate for his work in physics”.

What should happen is that Mr. Lee should sue the school. Those administrators should be fired and Mr. Lee re-hired.

Apparently, the school administrators haven’t done their required 9th grade reading assignments and feel they are the “more equal” animals on the farm.
Mr. Lee’s words were not at all hateful. They simply laid out facts which in his opinion are supportable.
Would love it if someone could post here the schools “contact us” info so that I can copy this letter to them directly!….

If what I saw written by Mr. Scott Lee is his only transgression, I think YOU need to go back to Junior High School and read the First Amendment to the US Constitution.
The absolute supported hate speech by organizations that infect our college campuses today must be rejected. If an “open letter” to the POTUS cannot be posted on one’s personal Facebook/Twitter account – in exactly what forum do you subscribe that Mr. Lee should express himself?
This is the letter I posted in response to your unconscionable actions. READ IT, maybe you can learn from it at your next job where I hope you’ll be out of the reach of young impressionable minds.

Do the admistrators of Freyburg Academy inspect/read ALL of the students and teachers/administrators Facebook & Twitter pages to see what other vile gets written & spoken about every single day? Do they then suspend and/or fire those students & teachers/administrators? If not, Ms Mayo must go…….. “Liberalism is a Mental Disorder” and the Muzzies know it and are using their ignorance to help further their cause without having to do a whole lot……….

Scott Lees seems a bit of a coward, why would you resign your position because your “boss” didn’t like something you posted on your facebook page? He should have stood his ground and made them fire him, then he would have a lawsuit for violating his free speech rights. You give power to the crazy left tards when you let them push you around, stand up and fight, don’t resign, make them force you out, make them show themselves for the bullies they are.

Everything he said is the truth plus he forgot to mention though to Obama that the 200 kidnapped Christian school girls were raped, tortured and murdered by muslims. I will continue to speak the truth as long as I have breath.
A lot of people don’t have the luxury of being able to speak the truth without suffering reprisals of one kind of another. Threatening one’s employment is one method of silencing truth tellers; I personally know many who have been silenced. They’re better off financially than I am, but I sleep at night — clear conscience here. I will not lie to children!

A classic example of the intellectual Left doing the bidding of whatever Muslim Brotherhood front groups have infiltrated and are exerting undue influence in their institutes of “higher learning.” It seems what these people fail to recognize is their own complicity and hypocrisy tinged with a large dose of personal cowardice. While it’s perfectly acceptable and even encouraged, to criticize and lampoon all of a conventional, sacrosanct and generally accepted nature, acts which are considered lofty examples of “freedom of expression, and intellectually inspired diversity of opinion, and political correctness,” none of that “open mindedness” applies to Islam and the Muslim community which, as a “highly victimized and maltreated religious entity” must be treated with abject deference and protected from any criticism whatsoever, regardless of any factual basis. Or else.
Academia has been conditioned to fear the “or else.” The Muslim Brotherhood has made Islamophobia as pernicious a disease as pedophilia and those who commit this “evil sin” are to be banished, shunned from polite society, sued in the courts for everything they’ve got. Can’t have that. Mr. Lees has to go!
The Muslim Brotherhood won’t win the legal battle in the courts, they rarely if ever do but the accused will pay what will undoubtedly be considerable legal expenses to defend themselves and that’s exactly the Brotherhood’s intent. It’s called “Lawfare” but is. in effect. legal extortion.
Fryeburg Academy has a facebook page where it can be rated on a five star scale and a space provided for comments. Keep it civil but feel free to express your feelings with regard to how they treated Mr. Lees. It likely will not effect their decision but you’ll feel a whole lot better and it may help refurbish Mr. Lees public reputation.

The moslems have been writing, posting, screaming from the rooftops for a long time now against all of Western Civilization – and what has been done to them??? NOTHING!!!!! They have been preaching and indoctrinating our non-moslem SCHOOL CHILDREN – and what has been done to them??? NOTHING!!!!! They have been threatening our very existence – and what has been done to them??? NOTHING!!!!!
Now, when a sane, normal individual asks, and in the most polite, PC way possible, some very pointed, and pertinent questions, he is fired? Looks like the scales of justice in the United States of America only swing one way these days – and it isn’t on the side of justice!!! How can those school officials sleep at night knowing they are guilty for wrongful dismissal of a great coach and a great man who was just exercising his right to ask questions?
And these questions NEED to be asked – and answered – after all, according to obama, the moslems are a “part of the fabric of the U.S.” – and Scott Lees, as a true citizen of the U.S., has every right to ask them!
