The White House has finally divulged the names of American Muslim leaders who met with President Obama this week, including Imam Mohamed Magid, who has advised the administration on formulating responses to incidents that Islamists consider offensive.

After stonewalling journalists for two days about the names of the participants at the meeting Wednesday, the White House quietly attached the list of attendees to the end of its daily press briefing transcript Thursday evening.

The guest list identified Imam Magid as a representative of the Adams Center, a large mosque in Sterling, Virginia. He has also served as president of the Islamic Society of North America, according to the group’s website.

Discover the Networks: “In response to pressure from Magid and his fellow lobbyists, DHS carefully erased from its ‘Countering Violent Extremism‘ curriculum any suggestion that Muslim terrorism drew its inspiration from the laws and doctrines of Islam. In 2012, the FBI purged some 700 documents and 300 presentations from its training materials and lesson plans.

Imam Magid, a native of Sudan, has served on the Department of Homeland Security’s Countering Violent Extremism Working Group and has worked as an adviser to the White House National Security Council to formulate U.S. responses to appeal to moderate Muslims in the battle against Islamist extremists.”

It was Mr. Obama’s first meeting with American Muslim leaders at the White House, coming at a time of renewed discussion about the threat of radicalization of Muslims in the West. The hourlong talk focused on civil rights, anti-Muslim bias, and extremism, according to participants.

The other attendees were Bilqis “Qisi” Abdul-Qaadir, director of women’s basketball operations at Indiana State University; Arshia Wajid, founder of American Muslim Health Professionals; comedian Dean Obeidallah;

Islamic supremacist hate propagandist Dean Obeidallah champions the fiction of “islamophobia,” a word used to intimidate people into thinking there is something wrong with resisting jihad terror, and has appeared at events hosted by the Hamas-tied terror org CAIR.

Kameelah Rashad, founder of Muslim Wellness Foundation and Muslim chaplain at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia;

Kameelah Rashad has demonstrated against the entirely legal surveillance of Muslim groups in New York City.

Diego Arancibia, board member and associate director of the Ta’leef Collective; Farhan Latif, chief operating officer and director of policy impact at the Institute of Policy and Understanding; Sherman Jackson, professor of religion and American Studies and Ethnicity at the University of Southern California; Azhar Azeez, president of the Islamic Society of North America;

The Islamic Society of North America was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas terror funding case.

Farhana Khera, president of Muslim Advocates;

The notorious Farhana Khera, president of Muslim Advocates, is known for her pro-terror activism. Khera attacked successful FBI stings as “entrapment operations” targeting innocent civilians (who wanted to blow up buildings, bridges etc.). Khera accused the FBI of “planting informants” in “American Muslim congregations” “without evidence of wrongdoing.” Khera defended Foad Farahi, the Miami imam who had known links to terrorists. And she supported the terror-linked imam Ahmed Afzali, who tipped off the Sept. 11 subway bomb plotter Najibullah Zazi – a plot that would have slaughtered thousands in New York City on an anniversary of the Sept. 11 attack. There’s much more on this jihad supporter here.

Rahat Hussain, president of the Universal Muslim Association of America; Hoda Hawa, national policy adviser of the Muslim Public Affairs Council;

MPAC is just as unsavory and just as bad as Hamas-CAIR, but much slicker and more covert.

  • Los Angeles-based Muslim organization whose leadership defends extremist violence
  • Opposes the shutdown of Muslim charities suspected of supporting terrorism
  • Opposes the Patriot Act

More on the covert operatives here.

Let’s look at this group. What are they working on?They claimed victory in pressuring the already Sharia-compliant LAPD into changing the way it handles Islamic suspicious activity reports. Is counterterror the focus of any of the work MPAC is doing? Go to their website, mpac.org. Is there even one word addressing the tens of thousands of jihad attacks, the oppression of non-Muslims in Muslim countries under the Sharia, Islam’s misogyny and dehumanization of women? Is any of that worthy of mention on their website? No. Their objective is to impose Islam upon the secular marketplace.

Robert Spencer points out that MPAC launched a “National Anti-Terrorism Campaign” several years ago that was “more concerned about misbehavior by non-Muslim law enforcement officials in mosques than about the possibility of terrorist activity in those mosques.”

Also according to Spencer, Edina Lekovic is “the Muslim Public Affairs Council flack whom Steve Emerson caught lying on national television, denying she was editor of a Muslim student publication that praised Osama bin Laden as a great mujahid. Emerson produced copies of the rag showing Lekovic’s name on the masthead as editor on the very same page on which the praise for Osama appeared.”

Maya Berry, executive director of the Arab American Institute and Haroon Mokhtarzada, CEO of Webs.

Also at the meeting were Mr. Obama’s senior adviser Valerie Jarrett, National Security Adviser Susan E. Rice and Deputy National Security Adviser Ben Rhodes.

The White House said Mr. Obama “reiterated his administration’s commitment to safeguarding civil rights through hate crimes prosecutions and civil enforcement actions” during the meeting, and also discussed countering the Islamic State “and other groups that commit horrific acts of violence, purportedly in the name of Islam.”

The president urged Muslim Americans “to remain civically engaged in their communities,” the White House said.

The Justice Department named ISNA in a court document as an unindicted co-conspirator with other “entities who are and/or were members of the U.S. Muslim Brotherhood” during prosecution of a terrorist financing case in 2007 against the Holy Land Foundation, once the largest Muslim charity in the U.S.

A federal judge later ruled that the document should not have been revealed to the public. The ISNA has said that its inclusion in the charitable foundation’s list of unindicted co-conspirators amounted to guilt by association.
