What’s the difference between the Islamic empire of the Turks and say …. the Islamic State? Nothing.
At the insistence of the Muslim world, the West — and most pointedly America — has been too afraid to designate the slaughter of 1.5 million Christians by the Muslim empire in Turkey a genocide. They didn’t want to incite the savage beasts.
The Armenian Genocide was one of the most depraved war crimes of World War I. It inspired Adolf Hitler not 30 years later.
Hitler said in his Obersalzberg Speech to Wehrmacht commanders at his Obersalzberg home on August 22, 1939, a week before the German invasion of Poland:
Our strength is our quickness and our brutality. Genghis Khan had millions of women and children hunted down and killed, deliberately and with a gay heart. History sees in him only the great founder of States. What the weak Western European civilization alleges about me, does not matter. I have given the order—and will have everyone shot who utters but one word of criticism—that the aim of this war does not consist in reaching certain geographical lines, but in the enemies’ physical elimination. Thus, for the time being only in the east, I put ready my Death’s Head units, with the order to kill without pity or mercy all men, women, and children of the Polish race or language. Only thus will we gain the living space that we need. Who still talks nowadays of the extermination of the Armenians?
This memorial church was built in dedication to the one-and-a-half million Armenians killed in that genocide. All of the church archives, dating back to 1841 and containing thousands of documents on the Armenian holocaust, were burned to ashes, while the bones of hundreds of genocide victims, packed into the church’s crypt in memory of the mass killings 99 years ago, were thrown into the street beside the ruins.
Now, like with everything else, the Muslim world will try to rewrite history and erase the lives of millions of Christians — which is what they are currently doing in the Middle East.
Call you congressman. Demand the US recognize the Armenian genocide.
“Destruction of Armenian church in Deir el-Zour: A savage blow that echoes through Armenian history,” By Robert Fisk, Telegraph, November 10, 2014
In the most savage act of vandalism against Syria’s Christians, Islamists have blown up the great Armenian church in Deir el-Zour, built in dedication to the one and a half million Armenians slaughtered by the Turks during the 1915 genocide. All of the church archives, dating back to 1841 and containing thousands of documents on the Armenian holocaust, were burned to ashes, while the bones of hundreds of genocide victims, packed into the church’s crypt in memory of the mass killings 99 years ago, were thrown into the street beside the ruins.
