VIDEO FOX News 5: “Anti-Islam ads on buses, subway stations”

While jihadists vow to attack this city again, city officials kowtow to Islamic supremacists to suppress the truth. The clueless New York City Comptroller and a New York Democratic politician whine about racism — but Islam is not a race. It gets worse from there.

But, that said, all of these media reports are showing the ads again and again and again. And the emails of support are overwhelming.

“Anti-Islam ads on buses, subway stations,” FOX News 5, September 23, 2014

The Metropolitan Transportation Authority does not want to but will post very controversial anti-Islam ads in New York City subways and on at least 100 buses.

Blogger Pamela Geller and her organization American Freedom Defense Initiative, which has posted similar ads in the past in New York City, Boston and Washington, D.C., reportedly paid $100,000 for the campaign. This time around, the posters feature slain American journalist James Foley on his knees next a photo of an Islamic State terrorist. Another ad reads: Support Israel, Defeat Jihad.

Geller told Fox 5’s Ti-Hua Chang that she is not anti-Muslim but wants to have an open discussion on parts of Islam that call for Sharia, or Islamic, law that she says promotes violence and denies religious freedom. She said that a Pew study claims 70 percent of Muslims want Sharia law.

What she failed to say is that the Pew Institute study she cited also found most Muslims who favor Sharia law also support religious freedom and do not support some of Sharia law’s basics such as feudal punishments.

Several dozen Muslim and Jewish organizations along with elected officials denounced Geller as a hate monger whose ads would incite ignorant people to attack innocent Muslims and Sikhs, who are not Muslims but wear turbans.

Six ads are to be posted with two going up at the 59th Street-Columbus Circle Station and the 59th St Station.

A judge ruled in favor of the American Freedom Defense Initiative saying the ads were protected by the First Amendment.

“We review every viewpoint ad under the standards, but a series of court rulings has made clear that our hands are largely tied,” said MTA media Liaison Amanda Kwan.

Your contribution supports independent journalism

Please take a moment to consider this. Now, more than ever, people are reading Geller Report for news they won't get anywhere else. But advertising revenues have all but disappeared. Google Adsense is the online advertising monopoly and they have banned us. Social media giants like Facebook and Twitter have blocked and shadow-banned our accounts. But we won't put up a paywall. Because never has the free world needed independent journalism more.

Everyone who reads our reporting knows the Geller Report covers the news the media won't. We cannot do our ground-breaking report without your support. We must continue to report on the global jihad and the left's war on freedom. Our readers’ contributions make that possible.

Geller Report's independent, investigative journalism takes a lot of time, money and hard work to produce. But we do it because we believe our work is critical in the fight for freedom and because it is your fight, too.

Please contribute to our ground-breaking work here.
