Al Gore sues Al Jazeera over cable channel deal

Gore would not even entertain an offer from Glenn Beck, so anxious was he to make a deal with the Muslim Brotherhood channel — Osama Bin Laden’s courier of terror.

He is getting what he so richly deserves.

It’s symbolic in many ways. The Democrats have become the party of the Muslim Brotherhood, and they, too, will get what they richly deserve.

The U.S. government should have long ago designated Al Jazeera a terrorist organization, in the same way that it designated Al Manar (Hezb’Allah TV) a terror organization. What’s the difference between the two? Al Jazeera is the leading terrorist propaganda organization in the world. Then-Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld called the broadcaster’s reporting “vicious, inaccurate and inexcusable,” and President George W. Bush joked about bombing it.

Jihad murder mastermind Anwar al-Awlaki has praised Al Jazeera, and several years ago one of its most prominent reporters was arrested on terror charges. Al Jazeera also has for years been the recipient of numerous al-Qaida videos featuring Osama bin LadenAyman al-Zawahiri, and American traitor Adam Gadahn.
Al Jazeera members have also provided material support for jihad terrorism. Tayseer Allouni, their correspondent in Afghanistan who interviewed Osama bin Laden following the 9/11 terrorist attacks, was sent to prison for being an agent of al-Qaida. Al Jazeera’s first managing director, Mohammed Jassem al-Ali, was exposed as an agent of the Saddam Hussein regime, and the channel promoted the bloody jihad against American forces in Iraq.
That’s who Al Gore chose to sell to. He gave these traffickers of terror propaganda access to fifty million American homes. And now they are stabbing him in the back.
Beautiful.

“Al Gore sues Al Jazeera over cable channel deal,” Yahoo, August 15, 2014

Washington (AFP) – Former US vice president Al Gore filed a lawsuit Friday claiming the owners of Al-Jazeera America improperly took back $65 million placed in escrow for the sale of his cable channel.

The lawsuit filed in Delaware Chancery Court says that Al-Jazeera, owned by Qatar’s royal family, failed to honor the contract in the sale of his cable channel, Current TV.

“Al Jazeera America wants to give itself a discount on the purchase price that was agreed to nearly two years ago,” Gore’s lawyer David Boies said in a statement.

“We are asking the court to order Al-Jazeera America to stop wrongfully withholding the escrow funds that belong to Current’s former shareholders.”

Boies said the full complaint was sealed at the request of Al Jazeera but that Gore and his business partner Joel Hyatt believe it should be made public.

In the case summary from court documents, Gore and Hyatt allege fraud and breach of contract.

“Rather than return the $65 million remaining in the escrow, as it was obligated to do, defendant, on June 27, 2014, submitted five claim certificates through which it attempts to manufacture several ways to retain all of the escrow balance for itself in express violation of the merger agreement,” said the summary.

Al-Jazeera America, which launched its news channel a year ago, did not immediately respond to an AFP query on the suit.

The terms of the purchase, which was announced in January 2013, were not made public, but media reports say it was for some $400 million.
