The investigation into the Islamic takeover of British public schools continues to spread. More schools have been found to have been infiltrated and targeted for takeover in a large-scale plot for the stealth Islamization of the secular state schools.

The Telegraph reported Friday that the plot involved not just a few schools but “schools across Britain.” It featured “‘concerted efforts’ to infiltrate at least six schools in Birmingham,” as well as schools in other cities, including Bradford, Manchester, and London.

Years in the making, this long-term coup is obviously not the work of a couple of people; rather, it is a community initiative, with parents being the foot soldiers. The ringleader, Tahir Alam, chairman of governors at Park View school in Birmingham, in 2007 wrote a detailed plan for how the Islamization of the schools would unfold. It was no secret; the Muslim Council of Britain published it – but characteristically, British authorities let the plan be implemented for seven years before acting.

Or even longer. According to MP Khalid Mahmood, Alam “has been planning this for 15 years. He goes around making these schools religious by manipulating governors, and bringing in certain teachers. He was able to hone the [tactics] in Birmingham that he drafted in this report.”

It’s important to bear in mind that the whole plot began with Muslim complaints. According to The Telegraph, Tahir Alam’s 72-page blueprint for the Islamization of state schools began with the claim that the schools were not “receptive of legitimate and reasonable requests made by Muslim parents and pupils in relation to their faith-based aspirations and concerns.”

In response, Alam and his co-author, Muhammad Abdul Bari, said that Muslim school officials should work to force schools to bow to the “views and aspirations of Muslim parents and the local community.” This included the prohibition of teaching “potentially harmful forms of music” that promoted “immoral behaviour” or included “unethical and un-Islamic lyrics.”

“Un-Islamic lyrics”? Would that include Christmas carols?

Apparently so. The blueprint said that schools should not put on any play “associated with celebrating aspects of other religions” – so Christmas pageants would be out. Alam and Bari also demanded that schools stop teaching representational art, end all mixed-gender sports, and make sure that girls dressed in ways that were “consistent with the Islamic requirements for modesty.”

At Park View school, posters went up in the hallways proclaiming: “If you do not pray, you are worse than a kafir.” A worksheet was distributed saying women had to obey their husbands and never refuse them sex – both precepts of Islamic law.

At Adderley Primary School, another school in Birmingham, there were “malicious and targeted campaigns” to pressure non-Muslim headteachers to leave the school.

And as shocking as the new revelations are, the response of the Muslim leadership is predictable: they have gone on the attack with charges of “Islamophobia.” That has been Alam’s response from the beginning.

Salma Yaqoob, the former head of the far-left Respect Party, went even farther than that, charging that there was “more than a whiff of McCarthyism” in the claims that there was a “Trojan Horse” plot in the first place, and saying it was all just “hysteria” arising from a “dodgy dossier.”

Non-Muslim tools have gone on the attack as well. Sir Albert Bore, the leader of the Birmingham City Council, criticized The Telegraph for publishing a Department of Education report on the “Trojan Horse” plot, saying it was “wholly reprehensible and completely unacceptable.” This is what in the trade is called “deflection”: try to make the story about the leaking of the report, rather than about the contents of it.
