In a surprise move at this past Monday night’s HART board meeting,
the board reversed their August decision and approved the Council on
American Islamic Relation’s (CAIR) request to advertise on Hillsborough
County buses.

In August the HART board voted eight to two to stand firm on its
policy of not accepting advertising promoting messages of a religious
nature.  Undaunted by this decision, CAIR appealed to the board to
reconsider.  The approval of past advertising campaigns and pressure
from CAIR of a threatened lawsuit prompted HART counsel David Smith to
advise the board to approve the advertisements.  This past Monday
evening the board voted unanimously to approve the ads, which promote
CAIR’s free legal services:

“Embracing Diversity at Work, Defending Civil Rights in The Community.”

Embracing diversity?  According to its Articles of Incorporation
filed with the Division of Corporations in the State of Florida, the
Florida non-profit corporation CAIR Florida
restricts membership within their organization under Article Six as
follows: “MEMBERS: General membership shall remain open to all Muslims
regardless of  color, creed, race, language or nationality. …”

It appears CAIR Florida embraces diversity as long as you are Muslim.

The most vocal supporter of CAIR and its advertising campaign, County
Commissioner Kevin Beckner, received a one hundred dollar contribution
from Ahmed Bedier towards his 2012 campaign.  Bedier, a former Tampa
CAIR executive director, now works in Tallahassee promoting United Voices for America, encouraging young Muslims to become engaged in politics and run for office and organizing an annual Muslim Capitol Day.

CAIR’s first attempt at advertising on Hillsborough County buses
involved a “My jihad” campaign, as shown in the following rendering:

These advertisements were the ones the HART board had initially voted
not to approve and which compelled  CAIR to revise its advertising to
the new “embracing diversity” advertisements which the board approved
last Monday.

In response to these advertisements from CAIR, which will appear on
HART buses in Hillsborough County, the American Freedom Defense
Initiative (AFDI) has issued the following press release:

AFDI to Launch Public Service Ad Campaign in Tampa, offering help for threatened girls and warning about Hamas-linked CAIR

NEW YORK, September 29, 2013 — The human rights organization
American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) is launching a public service
bus ad campaign in Tampa to offer help for girls in danger of honor
killing and to warn about the Hamas-linked Council on American-Islamic
Relations (CAIR), which is active in the Tampa area.

The ads have been submitted to Tampa transit officials and will begin running on buses on October 21.

AFDI President Pamela Geller said in a statement: “The honor
killing ad features heart-rending photos of girls who have been murdered
in honor killings, and offers help to girls who are threatened.  It is
part of our ongoing campaign to raise awareness and bring a stop to the
phenomenon of honor killing. These girls have rights, too, they’re human
beings, and yet they’re completely forgotten in our politically correct
culture.  We’re standing for the human rights of these girls.”

The CAIR ads are a response to an ad campaign promoting CAIR that
Tampa recently approved. Samantha L. Bowden, Communications and
Outreach Director of CAIR-Tampa, said: “We got to set the record
straight of who we are and what we do.”

Geller agreed, saying: “We’ve got to set the record straight on who CAIR really is and what they do.”

Belying its claims to be a civil rights organization, CAIR is actually an unindicted co-conspirator in a Hamas terror funding case — so named by the Justice Department. CAIR operatives have repeatedly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah. Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror. CAIR’s California chapter distributed a poster telling Muslims not to talk to the FBI. CAIR has opposed virtually every anti-terror measure that has ever been implemented.

The ads features several prominent critics of CAIR, as well as
victims of the harassment that has been characteristic of the
organization’s response to those it perceives as standing in the way of
its aims. These include

Muslims who came to CAIR for legal help and are now suing CAIR for mishandling their cases and defrauding them:

1. “It was devastating. I was taken by someone who was supposed to
   care and represent my needs.” — Bayenah Nur, who went to CAIR for help
   and is now suing CAIR
2. “CAIR represented itself as the nation’s premier civil rights
   law firm to defend Muslims. Instead, they defrauded me and then cheated
   me afterwards.” — Iftikhar Saiyed, a Muslim who went to CAIR for
   employment discrimination

Lawmakers and law enforcement officials who have told the truth about CAIR:

3.CAIR “has ties to terrorism” and “intimate links with Hamas” — Senator Charles Schumer (D-NY)

4.CAIR, its leaders, and its activities effectively give aid to
international terrorist groups.” — Steven Pomerantz, Former FBI Chief of
Counterterrorism

5. “WHO CARES?” — CAIR’s National Communications Director Ibrahim
Hooper when asked if American Muslims were among the Kenya mall jihad
mass murderers

6.“Islam isn’t in America to be equal to any other faith, but to
become dominant,” and “The Koran, the Muslim book of scripture, should
be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted
religion on Earth.” – CAIR’s cofounder and longtime Board Chairman Omar
Ahmad

A victim of CAIR’s opposition to counterterror efforts:

7. CAIR: “They lie about my life most of the time and try to
destroy my character, my capability, and my trust in the community.” —
Abdirizak Bihi, Somali Muslim anti-terror leader in Minnesota who tried
to stop recruitment by al-Shabaab, the murderous jihad terror group
behind the Kenya mall massacre, in Minnesota, and was attacked by CAIR
for doing so

AFDI stands for:

• The freedom of speech – as opposed to Islamic prohibitions of
  “blasphemy” and “slander,” which are used effectively to quash honest
  discussion of jihad and Islamic supremacism;
• The freedom of conscience – as opposed to the Islamic death penalty for apostasy;
• The equality of rights of all people before the law – as opposed
  to Sharia’s institutionalized discrimination against women and
  non-Muslims.

“Why Florida should CAIR about the TruthAboutCAIR.com” because the people of Florida need to know that Council of American Islamic relations (CAIR) is really a stealth jihadist organization aiming for a Sharia state in the US, albeit more slower than the violent ones like Qaeda they are already doing great damage to our legal system and sense as a society even if we never become a Muslim state the damage will not be easily or quickly repaired besides, they have questionable ties to terrorist groups and a number of leaders have been indicted for terror-related offenses
