Tennessee elementary school bans pork to avoid offending Muslims

The parents should tell the school to stuff it. If I were a parent of a child in that school I would refuse to comply.

Unionized school teachers just want to control everyone. I don’t just see the pork ban as a problem- certain brands and types of snacks is a bit over the top.
I have no issue regarding food allergies- schools should keep everyone safe.
Muslims did have a hand in trying to ban pork. They should be forced to do it openly, nothing behind closed doors!

What the heck is going on in Tennessee?

Because they are too stupid. Besides, it’s easier to take over someone elses’.

One thing more that parents need to do and that’s go to the school board and PTA meetings. They really need to let it be know they will not tolerate this crap.

Christians & Muslims are not sinning by eating pork. The law in the Hebrew bible is people-specific, prefixed ‘UNTO YOU’. Muslims are faking – they have in fact corrupted the laws and teachings of both the Hebrew bible and the Gospels, the reason nothing from the Quran is accepted by non-Muslims.

You know for over 300 years with Jews living in North America, there is not one incident of them trying to force banning pork on anyone.Let alone Religion or dress. A bit O/T, but nevertheless perhaps interesting.
I happen to be a nutritionist – and I would never, ever feed any children such a lopsided, high-carb, low-fat, utterly unbalanced diet. Don’t these people realize that fats – including animal fats – are considered essential and critical to the proper development of the brain and nervous system, especially in infants? That’s why mother’s milk -the most perfect food in nature for children- is very high in fats (up to 84%) and essential cholesterol.
Perhaps these “teachers” are not only excellent dhimmis but also “progressive” vegetarians. I have nothing against (lacto-ovo) vegetarians, but nutritional science has shown several significant nutritional disadvantages, which can be even life threatening. In fact a very strict (rabid) vegetarian diet in children is officially considered child abuse in many countries for these (and other) reasons.
I see nothing in the diet pictured above that is nutritionally sound or sustaining robust health and development.

Sorry, Betty, but the USA is a land of religious tolerance. You can worship what god you want- or no god- as long as you don’t try to ram your religious observance down my throat. As Pamela rather colorfully puts it, she doesn’t care if you worship a stone, as long as you don’t try to stone her with it.
I will note that Jews have lived in the USA since colonial days. To the best of my knowledge, they have never tried to impose kosher on non-Jews in government schools. Moreover, the goyim have never felt threatened by Jews to the extent that they thought it would be prudent to subject all students to kosher dietary laws.
An interesting question: how much is America going to kowtow to a new immigrant group? Before WW II, immigrants were expected to adjust to America, not the other way around.

So by proclaiming what brands of snacks can be brought to school, and those are all halal products, it’s almost the same thing as banning pork. It’s still bending to the whims of Muslims. Dang, where are the rights of those who just want to buy whatever brand suits them, not the Muslims?

I’m also concerned about halal- I will no longer eat any halal product knowingly. But, what bothers me are the meats which have actually been slaughtered halal, but are not labeled as such for the consumer. We have all kinds of truth in labeling laws, but evidently they do not cover truthful halal labeling. I don’t give a good @#$&*% about that phony allah and the muslim false and useless rituals, but I do resent being taken for a chump.
I’m seriously considering searching out kosher meats, although I am not Jewish.
I searched online for local kosher meats and deli, and- the search results were dominated by halal grocers!!!

This is one of the main reasons I choose to homeschool our son. We’ve allowed the government to rule us which it is not supposed to do in America.
