Jury sentences Nidal Hasan to death for rampage Associated Press, August 28, 2013
FORT HOOD, Texas
— A military court sentenced Maj. Nidal Hasan to death on Wednesday for
the 2009 shooting rampage at Fort Hood, giving the Army psychiatrist
what he believed would be a path to martyrdom in the attack on unarmed
fellow soldiers.Story continues below advertisementThe American-born Muslim, who has said he acted
to protect Islamic insurgents abroad from American aggression, never
denied being the gunman. In opening statements, he acknowledged to the
jury that he pulled the trigger in a crowded waiting room where troops
were getting final medical checkups before deploying to Iraq and
Afghanistan.The same jurors who convicted Hasan last week had
just two options: either agree unanimously that Hasan should die or
watch the 42-year-old get an automatic sentence of life in prison with
no chance of parole.Hasan had
no visible reaction when the verdict was read, staring first at the
jury forewoman and then the judge. Officials said he will be taken back
to a county jail and then transported on the first available military
flight to the military prison at Fort Leavenworth in Kansas. The timing
on the flight wasn't immediately clear.Hasan could become
the first American soldier executed in more than half a century. But
because the military justice system requires a lengthy appeals process,
years or even decades could pass before he is put to death.The lead prosecutor assured jurors that Hasan would "never be a martyr" despite his attempt to tie the attack to religion.
"He
is a criminal. He is a cold-blooded murderer," Col. Mike Mulligan said
Wednesday in his final plea for a rare military death sentence. "This is
not his gift to God. This is his debt to society. This is the cost of
his murderous rampage."For nearly four years, the federal
government has sought to execute Hasan, believing that any sentence
short of a lethal injection would deny justice to the families of the
dead and the survivors who had believed they were safe behind the gates
of the Texas base.And for just as long, Hasan has seemed content
to go to the death chamber for his beliefs. He fired his own attorneys
to represent himself, barely put up a defense during a three-week trial
and made almost no effort to have his life spared.Mulligan
reminded the jury that Hasan was a trained doctor yet opened fire on
defenseless comrades. He "only dealt death," the prosecutor said, so the
only appropriate sentence is death.He was never allowed to argue
in front of the jury that the shooting was necessary to protect Islamic
and Taliban leaders from American troops. During the trial, Hasan
leaked documents to journalists that revealed him telling military
mental health workers in 2010 that he could "still be a martyr" if
executed.When Hasan began shooting, the troops were standing in
long lines to receive immunizations and doctors' clearance. Thirteen
people were killed and more than were 30 wounded. All but one of the
dead were soldiers, including a pregnant private who curled on the floor
and pleaded for her baby's life.

Ok, so now let’s start vetting all Muslims in the military to ensure they are willing to die for their country rather than their religion. It has to be a prerequisite.

At least we can stop paying his salary and get some relief for the victims and families in judging this as a terrorist attack. Now the automatic appeal process kicks in which lasts 10-15 years. After that, if the conviction is upheld, the death sentence will have to be signed by the President.

Maj. Nidal Hasan was sentenced to death Wednesday for the 2009 mass shooting at Fort Hood, Texas. He will now join five other inmates who are on military death row at Fort Leavenworth, Kan. None of the five are close to an execution date, and one of the inmates could have his sentence commuted to life in prison. The military courts system has not executed an active-duty soldier since 1961.
Here is a look at inmates currently on death row:
— Ronald A. Gray, convicted in April 1988 of several murders and rapes while stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C.
— Dwight J. Loving, convicted in April 1989 of killing two cab drivers while stationed at Fort Hood.
— Hasan K. Akbar, convicted in May 2005 of attacking fellow soldiers in Kuwait, killing two, during the invasion of Iraq.
— Andrew Witt, convicted in October 2005 of killing a fellow airman and his wife at their home at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. An appeals court ordered his case reopened earlier this month.
— Timothy Hennis, convicted in April 2010 of killing a North Carolina mother and her two children a quarter-century earlier.

I believe it is BS the COurt did not let him testify to why he killed these people. He should have been given 30 minutes. It should be the right of the defendant and the right of the victims to hear his reasoning.
That bein said I’d like to have him shot with pig blood dipped bullets and buried in pig guts and SH!T!. If not, make him work at a sowing machine 10 hours a day for his food. If he doesn’t make an honest attempt to produce, hold his food and let him STARVE. Koran says martyrs going to heaven will get “hur,” and the word was taken by early commentators to mean “virgins,” hence those 72 concubines. But in Aramaic, hur actually meant “white” and was commonly used to specifically mean “white grapes.”
The exact number of virgins (or raisins) is not specified in Koran, but the number 72 comes from a quotation of Muhammad recorded in one of the lesser-known Hadith. (“Hadith” is an Arabic word meaning traditions.) After Muhammad’s death, several collections of his deeds and sayings were collected to form the Hadith, which is the second most authoritative document is Islam, after the Koran.

Although I’m pleased and really surprised by the verdict, it’s still a shallow victory. It almost guarantees that he’ll live another twenty years and he wasn’t convicted of a terrorism related charge. So, the big lie is still alive and so is Hasan.

It might well be that Hasan actually wants to be executed. If that is the case then Hasan must be as deceived and deluted as he is cruel and murderous. For he must believe in the Islamic doctrine from the Quran that a Muslim/jihadist who dies as as a “martyr” will then have a paradise with many “dark eyed” virgins in it. Each virgins for his use only. Such a lust filled paradise Hasan hopes to obtain. The truth is that the actual origion of this Ouranic doctrine had come not from a divine source but it was taken or lifted from Arabian and Zoroastrian mythology then fused together and then inserted into the Quran and other written works of Islam by wicked and deceptive men.. Now this doctrine of a place with many virgins is now part of the whole hoax of Islam. Furthermore, the teachers of this type of myth/doctrine asof a place with virgins was predicted in the Bible. Which reads “For the time will come when they will not stand wholesome teaching, but will follow their own fancy and gather a crowd of teachers to tickle their ears. They will stop their ears to the truth and turn to mythology.” Second Tinothy 4:3,4. So if Hasan want to be executed then lets have him be put to death. Hasan will then find out the hard way that the Quran taught him falsehoods and that his imam[now dead] and other Islamic clerics were lying to him. For after he dies he will have a very harsh reality check in store for him. For instead of finding himself in a “paradise with many virgins” he will find himself suffering in the fires of hell.
