Saturday Night Cinema: Misery

8

Shocking as it may seem, tonight’s Saturday Night Cinema is actually less than 25 years old. But a great performance in a taut thriller is timeless, and Kathy Bates’ Oscar-winning performance is cray cray great. Bates has a field day in this role, and James Caan is the perfect foil.

Adapted from a Stephen King novel, Rob Reiner‘s Misery cast James Caan as a writer at a career crossroads. The film opens with Paul Sheldon (Caan)
completing work on his latest novel, a break from his popular series of
novels featuring the character Misery Chastain. He gets into a severe
car accident and is saved by Annie Wilkes (Kathy Bates), a reclusive woman who nurses him back to health. Annie is a huge fan of the Misery
novels, and she finishes reading the new one while Paul is
convalescing. She becomes enraged when she discovers that Paul has
killed off Misery. Annie injures Paul’s foot severely so that he is unable to leave her house, and forces him to write a new Misery novel. A local sheriff (Richard Farnsworth) and Paul’s agent (Lauren Bacall) both attempt to track down what happened to the missing author. Misery shot the relatively unknown Kathy Bates
to stardom, winning her one of the few Best Actress Oscars ever
bestowed for portraying an evil character. ~ Perry Seibert, Rovi

Obama deserves to be forced to wear a burqa every remaining minute of his life, and then he will no longer spread MISERY. Islam is what obama deserves, give it to him and anyone else who is sick enough to accept such crap.
Obama must pay for leaving the Benghazi Four heroes to die, to be killed by his fellow jihadis. If whoever had a role in the Benghazi betrayal of our soldiers does not get convicted and executed, then somewhere between Earth and Heaven, they will wish they had confessed to the people who follow Love. Vengeance is mine sayeth THE LOVE.
Obama is the face of evil on Earth.
Obama will pay dearly for his role in promoting evil islam, all of even the worst western sinners, are better than the puke called obama in the whitehouse.
obama said the future should not belong to those who slander islam, meanwhile he ignores saying that the future should not belong to those who vow to kill anyone who does not submit to islam.
Obama deserves what he is going to get, thank Love, Love can be unforgiving too. Obama’s narcissism is the only love he has, and him and his friends will be stuck together with each other to be with for as long as they deserve, obama and friends will receive what they have given, which is , racism, misogyny, pedophilia, necrophilia, torture, greed, cruelty to the living, Obama you’d better confess or face the wrath of a vengeful God, whom promised that you’d be better off killing yourself than to harm children, islam allows for the buggery of infants, which allows me to point out how sickening islam is.
Personally I find myself cheering inside knowing the fate of islamists, I think that God understands that humans are only human and they cannot help but want to see the monsters of islam suffer.

A bit off-topic, Vinnie, but right on point about the affirmative action, socially promoted marxist mountebank.

Actually, I have to thank Ms G for the mix-up on the movie. The Mountain Men is one of my favorites.
