Exclusive: Pamela Geller warns, U.N. vote 'signals end of last great hope for peace'

That collective negation of humanity, the United Nations General
Assembly, voted Thursday to designate “Palestine” a “non-member observer
state.” The measure passed by a huge margin, with 138 nations voting in
favor and only nine against (including the U.S. and Canada), along with
41 abstentions.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton called the vote “unfortunate and
counterproductive … plac[ing] further obstacles in the path of peace.”
Despite the U.S. opposition (coming after four years of Obama’s thinly
veiled hostility toward Israel), this vote represented the sanction of a
terror war against innocent civilians made possible by an increasingly
weak America on the world stage. As America goes, so goes the defense of
freedom. Is it any surprise that less than a month after Obama’s
re-election, jihadists go forward with a vote for a terror statelet in
Gaza and inside Israel?

This vote was not really any surprise. The Organization of Islamic
Cooperation, or OIC, rammed it through. The OIC (56 Muslim countries
plus the Muslim-occupied areas of Israel that are known as the
“Palestinian” territories) is the largest international world body
today, and the largest voting bloc at the U.N. And not once does even
one of those Muslim countries ever vote contrary to the Islamic
supremacist agenda. Ever. So how did you think the vote was going to go?

How times have changed. The League of Nations, the predecessor of the
United Nations, voted unanimously in 1922 in favor of the idea that
“recognition has been given to the historical connection of the Jewish
people with Palestine and to the grounds for reconstituting their national home in that country.”

The modern era of the savage, that’s where civilization is in 2012.
Former Ambassador John Bolton remarked that Obama’s failure regarding
Israel and a “Palestinian” state was not something that had begun “in
the past couple of weeks,” but was instead the latest manifestation of
“an ongoing failure in the Obama administration to take this issue
seriously.”

Meanwhile, as Anne Bayefsky reminded us in her testimony back in June
2006 before the Senate Subcommittee concerning the U.N.’s lack of
accountability and transparency, “the world has changed a great deal
from the time of the United Nations birth in 1945, and so has the United
Nations. Sixty years ago democracies, both nascent and well
established, comprised the majority of the founding nations of the U.N.
The members of the General Assembly were strategically aligned primarily
along what would become the lines of the Cold War. America was
confident that the U.N. would be an organization that would work in
tandem with American national interests in promoting the welfare of
humankind and the basic rights of every human spirit.”

Instead, it has become the de facto arm of the OIC. The world-renowned scholar Bat Ye’or describes the OIC in this way:

Spread over four continents, it claims to speak in the
name of the ummah (the universal Muslim community), which numbers about
1.3 billion. The OIC’s mission is to unite all Muslims worldwide by
rooting them in the Koran and the Sunnah – the core of traditional
Islamic civilization and values. It aims at strengthening solidarity and
cooperation among all its members, in order to protect the interests of
Muslims everywhere and to galvanize the ummah into a unified body. The
OIC is a unique organization – one that has no equivalent in the world.
It unites the religious, economic, military, and political strength of
56 states.

The OIC has massive funding from oil sources, which it lavishly
spends on the Western media and academia and in countless “dialogues.”
It influences Western policy, laws, and even textbooks through pressures
brought by Muslim immigrants and by the Western nations’ own leftist
parties. …

The OIC is nothing less than a “would-be, universal caliphate.” It
might look different from the caliphates of the Ottomans, Fatimids, and
Abbasids. It might resemble, instead, a thoroughly modern trans-national
bureaucracy. But, already, the OIC exercises significant power through
the United Nations, and through the European Union, which has been eager
to accommodate the OIC while simultaneously endowing the U.N. with
increasing authority for global governance.

Bat Ye’or adds: “The caliphate is alive and growing within Europe. …
It has advanced through the denial of dangers and the obfuscating of
history. It has moved forward on gilded carpets in the corridors of
dialogue, the network of the Alliances and partnerships, in the
corruption of its leaders, intellectuals and NGOs, particularly at the
United Nations.”

And so Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was absolutely right
when he said on the day of the vote: “None of the vital interests of
peace appear in the resolution that will be put forward before the
General Assembly today and that is why Israel cannot accept it.” He was
right. This vote for a fictional “Palestinian” state won’t bring peace.
If anything, it signals the end of the last great hope for peace, the
Oslo “Peace Process.”

The Oslo “Peace” charade has been dead since the second intifada,
after Yaser Arafat, the godfather of modern terror, refused the offer of
practically everything the jihadists demanded in a “Palestinian” state
(including Jerusalem), but now it is officially dead. Everybody now
knows the big lie is over.

According to the Israel Project, “Unilaterally seeking to declare a state in the West Bank violates the Palestinians’ Oslo Accord commitments to
refrain from ‘steps that will change the status of the West Bank…
pending the outcome of the permanent status negotiations.’ High-ranking
Palestinian officials have boasted that the resolution will mark the formal end of the decades-old Palestinian peace process with Israel.”

Now that Oslo is officially dead, will Israel, the one side that was
actually adhering to the conditions and playing by the rules, finally
quit the farce? They are dancing with themselves in this ludicrous peace
process. There can be no peace process when the only objective of the
enemy is your annihilation. You can sing kumbaya until your throat
bleeds, it isn’t going to change reality.

Today,the Forign ministers of the UK and France called in their ambassadors from Israel and told him off for the Israeli government daring to go ahead with 3000 new homes in Jerusalem.
For those friends of Israel on here, may i assure you HM government does NOT speak for me on this subject.
Unless and until the real issues are fully understood by the public,Jews will continue to be murdered in their sleep, our young girls will continue to be targetted and our remaining wealth siezed to pay benifits to those who are intended to replace us.
Every weekend i try and spread the word, this last one was very fulfilling.

Excellent analysis and article Pamela!
On December 2, 2012, Representative Allen West posted the following in his eNewsletter: “Palestine is a territory which historically had nothing to do with Arab people. In fact, it was Roman Emperor Hadrian who renamed the region Palestinia from Judea to punish the Jews after their defeat in the second Jewish insurrection against Rome. The original word Palestinia comes from the root word Philistia and the ancient Philistines were originally Greek. After decades of good propaganda and a lack of historical understanding on the part of many, the United Nations has created something which has no historical basis. What is most disturbing is a terrorist organization, which is attacking a sovereign State, has now been awarded legitimacy.”
What we are continuing to see is the collaboration and between the progressive (think Democrats and Liberals) socialist agenda, as manifested and promoted by the Obama Administration, and the forces of Islam worldwide. Primarily, by way of the Muslim Brotherhood, especially here in America vis’ a vis’ their front groups CAIR, NAIT, ISNA, MSA, MANA, ICNA, NAIF, BIMA, and AMJA, just to name a few.
The progressives, under Obama, are working hand-in-hand with the forces of Islam to advance their anti-American socialist agenda to destroy America from within…systematically dismantling our Constitution and American way of life. The progressives are well on their way to turning America into a socialist/communist/totalalitarian state run by Big Government. The Political Scale has tipped all the way to the left and unless stopped, spells the end of the Free World
As a totalitarian ideology, one has to ask what is in it for the Muslims? My prediction is that the forces of Islam are using the progressives (just as the progressives are currently using Islam) to break America down and then, when they feel the time is right, they will rise up and attempt to take power away from the progressives, in their desire to dominate America under the black flag of Islam.

All Muslims have to do is to move to another country and declare the land is now Islamic and belongs to Muslims. Colonizing Muslims have done this in Israel.
Muslim terrorist Abbas financed the massacre of Israeli athletes at the Munich Olympic Games. Instead of jailing this vile terrorist for his crimes against humanity, wicked ruling elites REWARD Abbas for the barbaric murders of Jewish innocents.

The arabs in Israel might have to be satisfied with a Palestinian state of mind. If they choose to self segregate that would be their choice. Meantime, build Israel build. Quit worrying about public opinion or the delusional left.
Israel chose not to invade Gaza and yet I didn’t see any acknowledgment in the press of their restraint, none, zero. And before that there was never any condemnation of the rocket attacks from Gaza. Nor was there any real acknowledgment or respect for the development and success of the Iron Dome system, which is clearly something which will be beneficial to the US arsenal.

Dear Pamela, I am having problems reading your blog on my smartphone. I find as soon as your blog loads, which takes some time, so does a very annoying band of dense blue called INFOLINKS. This seems to be able to tell where my line of sight is and blocks me looking. I click on the x at the end but the band jumps away and I end up clicking on a link or ad I did not want. I am never able to actually read the blog posts. This is so annoying I no longer bother to look at your blog. Do you actually need these useless info links? Who wants them?

The unfortunate situation in Israel is, of course no one’s fault but their own. It stems from the fact that they have been successful in building a state for themselves; succeeding in spite of anti-semitic beliefs so seemingly rampant throughout the world; succeeding in spite of belligerent hostilities at every border; succeeding because of a firm resolve in which they understand they too, possess the right to survive. I have the utmost admiration and respect for Israel, and the Jewish people; and it is incumbent upon us to facilitate and to provide the tools necessary for her continued well-being. She has bent over backwards in attempting to soothe world opinion. Jealousy maintained by a people perverted in their incessant drive to reduce civilization to nothing more than catering to the deviant whims of hate-mongers; this, is the enemy of Israel; this too, the enemy of of these United States. To recognize and elevate the status of terrorists; to lend authority to a rambling leadership comprised of individuals intent on enslaving a world, and intent on it’s descent into chaos where we can all share in a common miserable existence; this, then, is the folly which manifests in even considering, let alone agreeing with the demands of this deplorable group. I will give credit where is due, for the success of The Palestinians in the realm of manipulating the political environment is indeed, quite impressive. It is this shameful practice of using the charity and tolerance of Western Civilization which will ultimately be our undoing. And so it is Israels success in establishing a productive, civilized society which has created the present situation. God help us. And God Bless These United States of America, and the people of Israel
