IBD Editorial: “Israel Vs. Hamas is Civilization Vs. Savagery”

More proof that we are right and we are righteous, and that our ads, despite the bloody howls from evildoers and the useful idiots in their service, are essential. We hit a nerve. And why? Because the enemedia so furiously spins an anti-human, anti-goodness narrative that the truth is a shock to the senses. But good people respond to it. Applaud it. Want it. Which is why we were able to raise the money to take the campaign nationwide. From San Francisco to NY, DC, Portland, Chicago, Denver …. you made that happen.

This is how you change the culture and the narrative. This is how you defeat the forces of evil in the information battle-space. This is how you begin to win.

Just for knowing, these ads are currently running on 100 NYC buses, Washington, DC lit platforms, and Portland buses. And we are in the process of buying other cities. We have new, similar initiatives in the planning stages. Hamas groups in America like CAIR may have millions from their foreign agents to conduct their crushing anti-freedom war, but we have something they will never have: a love of freedom, a love of life and an iron will. We will never give up, we will never give in, we will never surrender. We will defeat these forces of evil.

BTW, the city of Chapel Hill, North Carolina still refuses to run our pro-Israel ad (above) while running vicious anti-semitic, anti-Israel ads. What a disgusting little town.

Mideast: Celebration within Gaza after the
bombing of a bus filled with innocent Israeli
civilians is an object lesson on the so-called
Palestine question. Those who would celebrate such a
cowardly act are savages.

No one can imagine Washington's troops firing
shots to celebrate a supporter of American
independence trying to kill a group of Royalist
civilians. During the Cold War, U.S. support for
Lech Walesa's Solidarity would have dried up if he
handed out candy after a Polish nationalist
targeted, say, innocent Muscovites going to work.

We may live in a complex world, but evil is
identifiable even when its practitioners claim their
cause is good.

The gunfire across Gaza celebrating an explosion
on a bus in central Tel Aviv on Wednesday is evil.
And the Iranian-backed Hamas' rulers praising the
bombing, which injured 15 passengers, is evil.

"Hamas blesses the attack in Tel Aviv and sees it
as a natural response to the Israeli massacres …
in Gaza," Hamas spokesman Sami Abu Zuhri told
Reuters.

The "Israeli massacres," i.e. self-defensive
airstrikes, are exactly how the U.S. would react if,
let's say, Mexico were doing to us what Hamas has
been doing to Israel: firing hundreds of rockets
into populated areas.

It is, in fact, what any civilized nation would
be doing.

But only barbarians would hand out cakes in
celebration of the bombing of a vehicle with
innocent men, women and children, which was
happening at Gaza's main hospital on Wednesday. "Go
back to Germany, Poland, Russia, America and
anywhere else," Hamas' al-Qassam brigades warned
Jews on Twitter.

Hamas' al-Aqsa TV, run by a Palestinian
parliament member, is already notorious, encouraging
children to become terrorists, as when it depicted a
4-year-old girl holding an explosive, singing of
killing Israeli soldiers as a suicide bomber. On
Wednesday, the channel's news reader prayed "to
Allah the exalted that we see body bags in a short
while" and joyfully reported that "the morale of
Gaza residents is in the sky right now."

As Chaim Weizmann, Israel's first president,
wrote over 60 years ago, "The real opponents of
Zionism can never be placated by any diplomatic
formula: Their objection to the Jews is that the
Jews exist, and in this particular case, that they
exist in Palestine."

Arthur James Balfour, author of the 1917 Balfour
Declaration supporting a Jewish homeland, in 1904 as
British prime minister was humming another tune,
crusading against Jewish immigration into Britain.

But, as Conor Cruise O'Brien observed, even
Balfour came to appreciate the "tremendous Jewish
contribution" to the world, and ultimately saw "a
Jewish Palestine as the focus for a new blaze of
human creativity, a new enrichment of the culture of
the world."

Then, as now, Israel represented civilization.
Its Arab enemies dependably exemplify its
bloodthirsty opposite.

Thank you for your Rocket Counter Scoreboard. Perhaps you could add a scoreboard for K.I.A.s, too. The bastards sure are lousy shots, so little damage and so few casualties from so many rockets. Thank God for that, and the Iron Dome system.

Finally I understand the error of my ways.
I am a savage, because I believe that the Palestinians should not be dispossessed of the land they lived on for hundreds of years without compensation.
I am a savage, because I understand that holding a people under siege can radicalize them, and bring extremists to power.
I am a savage because I don’t believe that Islam is a form of fascism.
I am a savage because I think that Israel’s actions — far from promoting its security — actually undermines its security by creating hostility between itself and its neighbours.
I am a savage because I believe that Hamas’ radical and hateful Islamist ideology would be marginalised if Israel would compensate the Palestinians for the loss of their land and help them build a fair two state solution.
I am a savage because I believe that so long as the Palestinians of Gaza and the West Bank live under Israeli military rule, Israel is practicing apartheid (a fact that over 60% of Israelis agreed with in a recent Haaretz poll).
I am a savage because I agree with David ben-Gurion that “Israel must do more than make peace with the Palestinians; we must achieve collaboration and alliance on equal terms.”
I am a savage because I recognise that both the Jews and the Palestinians have an important and historic connection to the Holy Land.
I am a savage because I believe that collective punishment is a form of terrorism.
I am a savage because I believe that the use of depleted uranium and white phosphorus is not only a form of terrorism, but is also dangerous to Israel’s Jewish population (have you looked at falling Israeli fertility rates recently?)
I am a savage because I believe that Israeli ethnonationalism is unsustainable unless Israel concedes a fair and viable Palestinian state, and that a secular one state solution is becoming inevitable.
I am a savage because I am a pacifist.

Sometimes comfort can be drawn from great events of the past.
Jew and Arab have each other by the throat in a struggle for life and freedom. The one is trying to retain what he has built – the other is trying to reclaim what he stole centuries ago.
The victor will be the one who CANNOT go back, because the past that chases him through his dreams like a great black hound, caught him once, tore at his flesh, and took his children.
The looser will retire, lick his wounds, and plot futher bloody mischief, because his hate feeds off him and he needs that to live.
98 years ago, Britain and Germany had each other by the throat too, and a terrible struggle it was, but Britain had the Royal navy, the largest in the world at that time, and we prevailed because we cut off Germanys food and raw materials. They were defeated for want of them
Today, Israel must cut off the worlds sympathy and support for terror by exposing the Jihad imperative behind every attack on every jewish child or teacher or hospital or mother in the jewish homeland or abroard.
Israel does NOT have to do it all, the book ends BOTH move, one will come to Israel – and the world WILL see.

Most of the Hamastan Strip, high ranking operatives, terror infrastructures, command centers, medias centers, operations rooms and bases, weapons manufacturing and storage facilities, underground rockets launchers and bunkers, weapons smuggling tunnels, offices, banks, stadium etc… are now turned into parking lots. The cold winter & rain are fastly coming & Hamastan is totally dependent on Egypt .
After eight days of fighting, the IDF has ended Operation Pillar of Defense.

@Abdulrahman — No one is accusing you of being a savage just because you are a Muslim. Check the dictionary — the words actually have specific meanings, not just what you might want them to mean. Savage: primitive, uncivilized, cruel, fierce, furious. If you are a civilized person and non-violent
by definition you are not a savage.
Furthermore, your basic premise that Arabs were meek pacifists and Jews came in and stole the land is incorrect. Much of the property in the area was sold to Jews by absentee landlords as there was not much of any economic activity in the area before the Jews arrived. Once the state of Israel was established in 1948 it was immediately attacked by all its Arab neighbors. I’m not about to recount all the ensuing wars and history, it’s all available if you have the intellectual honesty and integrity to investigate. You might start by asking why did the Arabs attack Israel to begin with? Why and how did the Arabs become radicalized at the beginning of a Jewish state? Why didn’t they just accept the British proposal and start a Palestinian State?
IOW, quit believing that the radicals (who act like savages) are the “result” when in fact they are the cause of the difficulties.
