Germans want the government to criminalize the denial of the Armenian Genocide

The Germans want to criminalize denial of the Armenian genocide. Does that mean Obama would be arrested when he goes to Germany? Abe Foxman, too? I am down with that. Who is chipping in for airfare?

The Armenian genocide was the Muslim slaughter of over 1.5 million Christians.

Nearly 157,000 Germans want the government to pass a law which would make it illegal to deny that the mass killing of Armenians by Ottoman Turks nearly a century ago was genocide, according to the results of an online poll conducted as part of German Chancellor Angela Merkel's strategy to bring the German government closer to the people, Reuters reports.

Merkel rejected the proposal in a discussion this week with some of the poll participants, sayin that such a move – already attempted by France – would badly harm relations with Turkey, a key trade partner.

Merkel also turned down a call for holding more critical debates about Islam, a politically sensitive issue in Germany which is home to around four million Muslims.

The online poll is part of an ongoing government initiative called "Dialogue on the Future" that aims to get ordinary Germans thinking about how to improve life in Germany.

Merkel thinks not talking about jihad will solve the problem. Just the opposite: silence is sanction.

A German leader wanting to contribute to the denial of a genocide. How thoughtful of her.
I’ve read information that suggests another 250,000 to 750,000 Assyrian Christians were slaughtered by Turkish muslo-fascists concurrently w/their slaughter of Armenian Christians:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Assyrian_Genocide
from the article: “The Assyrian genocide took place in the same context as the Armenian and Pontic Greek genocides.[4] In these events, close to three million Christians of Syriac, Armenian or Greek Orthodox denomination were murdered by the Young Turks regime.[1]”

As you say Pamela, silence IS sanction.
The thing is, when elected, Europes “Leaders” refuse to listen to those who elected them AFTER the elections. The policy of those “Leaders” is to deny “Popularism” and set a differant policy, driving public opinion towards it.
EVERY major party and all of the top flight people in Brussells have this policy of witnessing the Violation of Europe and it’s Christian culture together with the rape and murder of it’s people while holding their noses and looking the OTHER way.
The attitude is “Nothing to see here”.

Try, try, try again…
BBC July 8th 2012
French President Francois Hollande has said he plans a new law to punish denial that the 1915-16 killing of Armenians was genocide.
A previous law approved by the French parliament was struck down in February by the Constitutional Council, which said it infringed freedom of speech.
