Story continues below advertisementA beautiful pop singer who defied the Taliban's decree against music and dancing was shot dead after she left a beauty salon last night.
Pakistani star Ghazala Javed, 24, was shot after a motorcyclist opened fire on a car she was in with her father, who was also killed.
Police said that one of the suspects is her ex-husband, who she reportedly asked for a divorce after finding out he had at least one other wife.
Her demand was a highly unusual one for a deeply conservative and male-dominated society where many consider a woman asking for divorce a dishonour to the husband.
Ms Javed, who was popular with young, progressive ethnic Pashtuns in northwest Pakistan, was reportedly driving home with her father when a motorcycle raced towards their car and opened fire.
She was hit with six bullets and and pronounced dead along with her father at a hospital in Peshawar, according to CNN.
In recent years the rise of the Pakistani Taliban, who disagree with singing and dancing, made it difficult for Ms Javed and other artists to perform and record songs in the country.
Ms Javed had started recording many of her songs and music videos, which she sang in her in nearby Dubai.

You don;t dare break the rules in islam but doubly so if you’re a female. The taliban bullies cannot abide a female who does not kowtow to their demands. They are males who are cowards and love to bully females. May they rot in hell.

Former prime minister of Pakistain Benazir Bhutto also discovered what happens when you challenge the male chauvinist oligarchy in muslime states.
I wonder how many women are *really* murdered in Pakistain every year? Because I’ll bet it’s a lot higher than the lies the “democratic” government of Pakistain would like us to believe. On another note I wonder how many of these crimes are successfully prosecuted, or, indeed prosecuted at all?

No surprise here. Islam is ugly and that ugliness jumps out at us every day.
Islam is the spirit of anti-Christ.
Islam spits in the face of our almighty Creator, who made us in His image. All of our creativity, our appreciation of beauty, the beauty that has been given to us in this world, all of the good things that come from humans are there because He created us to be like Him. A beautiful voice for singing comes from the God who gave it to us to sing His praises. Music lifts the spirit that Islam seeks to crush. Yes, there are perversions, we live in a broken world.
Islam shows the absence of God in the lives of its followers. Islam is the darkest of darkness.
Very sad. My heart aches that the majority of people in this world can not see the shadow that seeks to engulf them and rob them of everything that is graceful and good.

Since Islam loathes “inappropriate” beauty in any form, shape or way, it does the only thing it can: kill it. Destroy it. Ausradieren, that is the only thing they are really good at. Whether it is women, children, freedom, morality, culture, civilization, intelligence, reason, logic, humanity, or dignity.
Ever noticed that the only thing Islam does not destroy, but instead encourages, is hate? Hence, it is pure evil, and absolutely diabolical. And we are supposed to respect that? That will be the day.

So legally woman are allowed to divorce but because of the roving Taliban gangs, they get murdered over it anyway. Will the government now arrest the Taliban killers, or will they look the other way and let the street thugs rule the country. It is funny how these criminals use religion as their excuse for their petty grievances. They get insulted somehow by someone, so they just kill them.
I wonder if they could come up with a law saying that if the first wife finds out about a second wife, she can have that marraige denied or even put her husband in jail. That is called bigamy and you go to jail for that in the USA.
How weak can you be if you can’t even take a dishonor or an insult?

A single woman doesn’t have a chance when she defies islam in one of those countries. They are against anything beautiful and life enhancing. So her husband took another woman, and she had the audacity to object.

Why does the media always refer to muslim countries like Pakistan “deeply conservative” societies? This savagery is not “conservatism”, it is evil.
