Once again, the parents of students in the Hillsborough School District have fiercely expressed their disapproval that faculty invited the political organization, Hamas-CAIR, to address their students without providing a pro-freedom counter voice to their jihadist message. Back in December I broke the story that Hamas-linked CAIR was talking to high school students. Co-conspirators in the largest terror funding trial in our nation's history were subjecting students to indoctrination and propaganda. That is child abuse. There were no counter voices or voices of freedom?
Hamas-CAIR was one of the many Islamic groups that was named an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas jihad funding trial. They are in the top five AFDI Threats to Freedom Index.

The problem with that is that Shibly is a political speaker. A Hindu priest or Christian pastor won’t counter the poisonous propaganda that Shibly spews to our impressionable young minds. An informed counter-jihad speaker such as Robert Spencer, Nonie Darwish, Wafa Sultan or I myself must be given a chance to speak, so as to counter the lies of Hamas-tied CAIR.
Hamas-linked CAIR should not be speaking at all, but if the public school shills insist on presenting jihadi views, they must provide freedom lovers with the same opportunity. Further, political speakers should be off limits on school grounds.
In January, I ran a firsthand account of one parent whose child had been subjected to this school-mandated child abuse. The outraged parent body addressed the issue at the last school board meeting, where school board chairwoman Candy Olson ignored parent's concerns. She should be replaced as soon as possible. These are our children. If this tool is unaware of Hamas-CAIR's history, she poses a danger to our children.
Yesterday, parents raised the issue again, at the February 14 school board meeting. The parents are not backing down. Bravo! This best demonstrates why you must get involved and run for school board and other local political committee seats. The Dems have known this for years. and they have stacked the deck against patriots and freedom lovers. The whole Hillsborough school board should be thrown out. Run for these seats. Debate about Islamic group's visits to Hillsborough schools flares up again Tampa Bay
TAMPA — If members of the Hillsborough County School Board thought they had put controversy over a Muslim speaker behind them, they were wrong.More than a dozen who oppose school appearances from the Council on American-Islamic Relations attended Tuesday's board meeting, some asking the board to call for a workshop and others displaying signs on the sidewalk outside that said, "Welcome to Tampastan."
The group included Kristina Gionet of the Pinellas Patriots, who said, "I guarantee that if CAIR comes across the bay, we will stop them at the Howard Frankland Bridge."
At the Jan. 24 board meeting, chairwoman Candy Olson scolded an angry crowd for criticizing a teacher trying to broaden horizons.
On Tuesday, when she again rose to the defense of teachers, she was met with a loud chorus of boos.
Board member Stacy White, acknowledging many of the anti-CAIR speakers live in his east Hillsborough district, made a motion to schedule a workshop that would include presentations from CAIR and the Education Coalition, a group of conservative organizations that has mobilized over the issue. He met resistance from member Doretha Edgecomb, who didn't want CAIR singled out. "It's Islam today," she said. "Tomorrow it may be the NAACP, or somebody else."
The NAACP was never anmed an unidciated co-conspirator in the largest Hamas funding trial in our nations' history, tool. Would they let Nazis speak so as not be be prejudicial in any way?
Olson, similarly, said she worried that teachers would be afraid to teach about the Holocaust, the Vietnam conflict or other topics that might appear controversial. "I've had some teachers say, 'I don't want to be the next target,' '' she said.
While agreeing to broaden the topic of the workshop, White insisted that the public be allowed to speak at it. White's motion failed 5-2, with Susan Valdes siding with him.
The board directed staff to report on the feasibility of such a system by the end of March.
According to Kelly Miliziano (history teacher at Steinbrenner High School), she "regularly asks" Hassan Shibly of CAIR to speak. Shibly has a track record of defending jihad terrorist groups and acting as an apologist for the worldwide jihad and Islamic supremacism. Ms. Miliziano's refusal to respond to parents' requests to vet the notorious Mr. Shibly, and instead attack the parents, should be grounds for her immediate dismissal. Ms. Miliziano further went on to call parents' concerns about CAIR "baseless and Islamophobic." Following the 2006 Israel-Lebanon War, Shibly granted legitimacy to Hezb'allah by characterizing it as a "resistance movement" that provides valued social services to the Lebanese people. Although it presents itself as a civil rights group, CAIR actually has numerous links to Islamic supremacist and jihad terror groups. CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR's executive director) were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East. CAIR has steadfastly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.
Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror:
- * Ghassan Elashi, founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, in 2009 received a 65-year prison sentence for funneling over $12 million from the Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation to the jihad terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for murdering hundreds of Israeli civilians
* Mousa Abu Marzook, a former CAIR official, was designated by the U.S. government in 1995 as a "terrorist and Hamas leader." He now is a Hamas leader in Syria.
* Randall Royer, CAIR's former civil rights coordinator, in 2004 began serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding al-Qaida and the Taliban against American troops in Afghanistan and recruiting for Lashkar e-Taiba, the jihadist group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai jihad massacres.
* Bassem Khafagi, CAIR's former community relations director, was arrested for involvement with the Islamic Assembly of North America, which was linked to al-Qaida. After pleading guilty to visa and bank fraud charges, Khafagi was deported.
* Rabih Haddad, a former CAIR fundraiser, was deported for his work with the Global Relief Foundation (which he co-founded), a terror-financing organization.
In 1998 Omar Ahmad, CAIR's co-founder and longtime Board Chairman, said: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
After he received unwelcome publicity as a result of this statement, Ahmad denied saying it, several years after the fact. However, the original reporter, Lisa Gardiner of the Fremont Argus, stands by her story.
CAIR's spokesman Ibrahim Hooper once said: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."
Florida Family Association reports:
School board blindly ignores 10,000 emails to each official, votes to allow CAIR to indoctrinate students. Allowing CAIR officials, known for defending people whose actions were hostile to America, to teach unedited propaganda to students is borderline treason. Florida Family Association sent out two email alerts and posted an online article which reported that Hillsborough County School Board members were allowing CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) officials to indoctrinate school children with propaganda including their version of Sharia law.Florida Family Association’s Take Action Message Report indicates that EACH school board official has received approximately 10,000 emails urging them to stop allowing CAIR officials from addressing students. That number does not include emails these officials have received from individuals and other groups apart from Florida Family Association.
Several organizations including local Tea Party leaders challenged the Hillsborough County School Board on February 14, 2012 to stop local CAIR officials from addressing students.
School board member Dr. Stacy White offered a motion to have CAIR and a committee “discuss” this situation with no specified stated resolution. Susan Valdez seconded the motion. April Griffin tried to gut the inane motion by requiring that all groups be included in the discussions thereby extending the issue to a non-issue.
School Board Chairman Candy Oslon, Poster Child for Ultra Progressive Politics, gave another one of her extremely biased bashings of reasonable thinking people. She proclaimed that “Most Muslims are moderate” to justify CAIR officials speaking to students and scolded rational thinking concerned Americans who criticized Steinbrenner High School teacher Kelly Miliziano for inviting CAIR officials to speak to 500+ students. Chairman Olson also lost her cool during the January 24, 2012 meeting when she took a low shot at conservative Americans concern regarding CAIR talking to school children by saying “I don't think we can protect our children from the fact that there are extremists in every religion." Olson was quoted on tape saying that if you don't like the actions of this school district then you can always move to another county. During the February 14, 2012 meeting school board members rejected Dr. Stacy White’s weak motion by a 2 – 5 vote. This rejection vote effectively approves CAIR officials addressing students without regard for the content of their presentations.
Having a TEACHER provide ALL OF THE FACTS regarding Sharia law is called education.
Allowing CAIR officials, known for defending people whose actions were hostile to America, to provide unedited propaganda to students is borderline treason.

(I won’t even get into the obvious union-centric nature of that statement, or her total avoidance of being even SLIGHTLY critical of CAIR. After cleansing the White House of progressive vermin, we must focus on education.)

Lotsa luck with that. When my Kippah wearing husband took an alternative track program to get teacher cert. and applied to the Hillsborough County (not Tampa) BoE, he was denied employment because he would have been “required” to be at extra curricular events like football games, which happened over our Sabbath. When we took it to EEOC, the intake person told us that the Federal Courts were very resistant to hearing claims of RELIGIOUS discrimination! We got nowhere with that so after being a substitute teacher for a couple of years and jumping thru all the hoops to get fully certified, the final step of which was to work a regular job under a one year contract, my DH was denied the opportunity to work unless he violated his religious beliefs. We moved to Israel less than a year later.

Sorry, I need to clarify a statement. IN Florida, school boards are County wide not city. Hillsborough is the County for Tampa, thus the school board is Hillsborough County not Tampa City.

Most Muslims are “NOT” moderate. This is mostly said only because of tolerance stretched to its zenith by American people. Most Muslims failed to apprehend Bin Laden, when they should have brought him to justice within weeks. No Fatwah 4 Osama – why?! Islam is “NOT” a religion of peace in any sector they prevailed – ask every nation and people if in doubt.
The only moderate Muslims are those who have been able to flee their religion and living under death treats today.

Thank you for including the email address of the Principal. I sent her an email, then searched for the email addresses of Ms. Candy Oslon and all the other Hillsborough School Board members. I sent them a copy of the email which I sent to Ms. Grasso, and requested a reply. Wonder if I will hear from any of them?

I would organize all parents to boycot the School and call the News media, present your case via spokesman. Keep the kids home untill it’s resolved. It may take some time but it will be great education for your children and the School system. Hamas-cair should not be allowed in the USA. They hate us and are undermining everything we stand for. It’s “Soft Jihad”, don’t underestimate this cult.

A contest was announced for members of the community to name the new school. Of the dozens of names, five names were selected as finalists and presented for decision at a school board meeting. To the residents dismay and surprise, school board member Candy Olson requested that the school be named for Tony Pizzo, a local Ybor City Historian. This decision ignored the finalist names and the school board members voted the name of Pizzo unanimously.
Many upset community members attended the following school board meeting, December 9, 1997, to express their displeasure resulting in Joe Newsome amending that the name changed Riverview High School. The only concern with the school board was confusion with the State of having two Riverview High Schools in such close proximity. The decision was made to continue with the name much to the delight of the local community.

I thought that first speaker was excellent! He was calm, stated facts and was never emotional about it, not that emotion has no place, but he did it exactly right. So proud of all of them who spoke and those who came to support them. This is what we all have to do!!

Does Hillsborough County have a provision for the recall of county officials? If so, would urge one of the citizens groups to initiate a recall petition and get this on the next ballot. Failing that, they should identify and run their own candidate against Ms. Olson and get her out of office before she causes more damage to our children and our Republic.

I guarantee that my kids would NEVER attend this type of indoctrination – whatever the excuse provided by “the school”, i.e. the collaborator. Public education has become a fraud, these kids can hardly spell, write or add without a calculator, they are totally ignorant about our History, but now they NEED to hear about a totalitarian ideology masquerading as a “culture” or a “religion of peace”? Come on, stop the nonsense.
Let’s take our kids out of the public education system.

My children would challenge this individual from CAIR if he spoke at their school. As a matter of fact, my daughter is on the Islam chapter in her social studies class and we were discussing Mohammed and his life. I asked her if they taught her about his marriage to nine year old Aisha and she said no. So we talked about it a bit and she said she was going to ask her teacher about it. I’ve no doubt she will.

Most board members appear ready to ask county commissioners to raise impact fees on developers. In the past year, board members have discussed the need for higher impact fees on at least four occasions, once with commissioners. Little came from the talks.
“It’s quite embarrassing that our county has $196 impact fees,” said board member Susan Valdes, referring to the county’s impact fees on new homes, which are the lowest in Florida.
But lobbying for an increase will require board members to test intimate ties to the building industry – a longtime foe of higher impact fees.
The spouses of two board members, chairwoman Candy Olson and Carolyn Bricklemyer, are partners in law firms that have clients in the building industry. John Olson is a lawyer with Stearns, Weaver, Miller, a firm that represents many large developers in Hillsborough. Keith Bricklemyer founded Bricklemyer, Smolker & Bolves, another firm popular with local developers.
Board members deny that those ties have influenced their approach to growth, but some people say the board could have pushed harder for solutions.
“I think it’s caught up with us,” said board member Jennifer Faliero. “The board has a totally different view on this now.”
Hillsborough’s current dilemma took root in 1985 with the passage of growth management legislation aimed at curbing sprawl. It was heavily opposed by developers and builders.
One major issue: how much infrastructure should be required before new homes get built. Unlike roads and sewers, schools didn’t make the list.
“We expected that it would get passed, and then later, schools would get added,” said Pat Frank, who was then a state senator.
Two of Florida’s most populated counties, Orange and Broward, took action on their own.
In 1996, Broward commissioners voted to make adequate schools a requirement before housing could get approved. Four years later, then-Orange County chairman and current U.S. Sen. Mel Martinez, at the urging of the Orange County School District, told staffers to deny residential projects if there weren’t enough schools in the area.
The Broward measure soon met resistance. The law firm of Stearns, Weaver, Miller filed a brief on behalf of the Economic Development Council of Broward County that said the law was unduly burdensome. In 2001, a judge ruled in favor of the development council.
In Orange County, the law firm of Bricklemyer, Smolker & Bolves worked for the Florida Home Builders Association, the Florida Association of Realtors and the Florida Chamber. It argued that county officials had no right to deny rezonings because of a shortage of schools. Orange County won that fight.
Locally, Stearns, Weaver’s clients include the developers of the 2,260-home Diehl project and the 700-home Shell Pointe project. Both are in the booming Ruskin area.
Keith Bricklemyer is one of the most successful land use lawyers in town. County records show that since 2000, his firm has had 53 rezoning cases before county commissioners. School officials reviewed eight of these projects after 2003 and said only one was in an area that didn’t have an adequate number of schools.
Candy Olson‘s husband said his firm has no influence on her School Board work. He said he is a bankruptcy lawyer who doesn’t represent developers.
“Candy’s views on matters of public policy are something that I never try to influence,” John Olson said. “The notion that her decisions could be influenced by matters that affect my law firm is off the charts.”

Candy Olson was chair of the school board in November 2005 when she instructed school district officials to block emails from Florida Family Association’s supporters regarding the school board’s plans to drop Good Friday and Yom Kippur at the same time that Ahmed Bedier Executive Director of Tampa CAIR was pressuring her to add Muslim holidays.

CAIR-canada was behind the crusades to get the Quran into the schools via a ” Anti-racism” workshop that got tax dollars to create it via a CAIR linked Pro-Whahhabi Mosque full of pro-Jihad imam’s and clerics.
This charade was launched in the Kipling/Dixon area of Totonto canada because it was the new Little-Somalia near the Aiport since many Muslims made “refugee” claims once they deplaned with Shariah-law in hand and overt hatred for jews and Christians.
Even after I poured over the City Of Toronto Books and found a $300’000.00 item from the federal Gov that was diverted to YES (Youth Employment Service) and MENTORS (islamic group) which was actually an accounting trick to fund pro-Jihad groups , the Politicians,Toronto Councillors , and MSM refused to touch this scam to hide the Tax-fraud by CAIR and the indoctrine of kids in Schools via Anti-racism as if there are no non-dark Muslims on earth.
Awhile back I came across a “Refugee” centre in High Park, Toronto that had ties to a Tampa based Human Smuggling group and even shuttled potential refugees into canada in the guise of a vacation.
I traced the Plates of the cars to Tampa and they the dealer ID to a used car lot near CAIR’s tampa Office, there were also Jihadists in Pakistan that paid to go to saudi Arabia, then the U.K. , from their they got into the USA from Mexico to a safe-house in Texas , then this islamic-supremacy group tie to CAIR aided in shuttling muslims up the Eastern seaboard States to say there or get Bogus ID to then be driven to the candian Border and smuggled in to the Toronto Refugee centre and get the Refugee-Package from the Centre’s Lawyer’s that prepare the Set of LIES to justify accepting the claim.
Canada didn’t seem to give a Shi’ite about my Evidence, but the FBI did once Humans were smuggled into the USA and transported across State-Lines for a profit while not declaring it. The FBi got all my Documents and the Phone Numbers and names in Texas along with the swore statement by one “refugee” caught in canada and sang like a canary to fonger his islamofascist brothers.
My point is that CAIR-canada looks for useful-Idiots to exploit and add to their other morons that are part of the Veneer CAIR holds up as evidence they are Peaceful and denouce ALl terrorism and violence.
