Muslim man charged in attempted Florida car bombing Reuters (hat tip Jack)

(Reuters) – A 25-year-old Muslim man born in Kosovo was charged on Monday with trying to obtain explosives and firearms to attack Florida businesses and a police station, authorities said.

Sami Osmakac, a naturalized U.S. citizen who was born in Kosovo – a disputed Balkan state once a part of the former Yugoslavia that declared its independence from Serbia in 2008 – was charged with one count of attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.

He was arrested Saturday night after taking possession from an undercover FBI agent of what he believed to be explosives and firearms. He then armed what he thought was a car bomb intended to explode outside an Irish bar, according to a statement from the U.S. Attorney. The devices were rendered inoperable by the agents.

Osmakac also planned to strap on an explosive belt and "get in somewhere where there's a lot of people," according to the release. Osmakac hoped to take hostages and demand the release of some unidentified prisoners. He told the undercover agent that police could "take me in five million pieces," according to the release.

"We all have to die, so why not die the Islamic way?" Osmakac, who said he is Muslim, was quoted as saying to agents.

Shortly before his arrest, Osmakac made an eight-minute video of himself, recorded at his request by the agent, explaining his motives for carrying out the planned attack, according to the release.

Osmakac said in the video that Muslim "blood" was more valuable than that of people who do not believe in Islam, and that he wanted "payback" for wrongs to Muslims.

The investigation was triggered by someone who told the FBI in September that Osmakac asked about obtaining flags representing al Qaeda, the Islamic extremist group responsible for the September 11, 2001, attacks on New York and Washington.

And here we once again have a classic example of the Islamic mind indoctrinated by the teachings in the Koran. One interesting thing that stands out in this article may actually be a “C” Change for Reuters unless it escaped the editors who may still be returning from the super Bowl? Right up front the writer defined the attempted terrorist attacker as a “Muslim”, I find that quite unusual for the politically correct media.
Of course if one reads the beltway lib writer Sally Quinn you would think General Boykin doesn’t know what he is talking about when it comes to the threat of Islamists to America like this 25 year old Muslim who says his blood is better than non Muslims. Quinn who lives her life among the Washington elite wearing rose colored glasses has the unmitigated gall to want some kind of oppressive sanctions put on General Boykin even after he backed out of speaking at West Point because of pressure from groups like CAIR.
Quinn as leftard elitest writer apparently thinks the first Amendment was only written for her opinions and those in her inner circle.
Let the dhimmis’ howl, they have always been there. The standing history of the US is replete with such unbridled ignorance from people like Sally Quinn. There is no doubt in my mind that Quinn is clueless about what drives Islamic teachings. Yes there are Muslims in America that want nothing to do with sharia or jihad in anyway,yet they remain practicing Muslims. Muslim attacks and attempts at jihad in the US are growing every year according to the FBI.
The words written in the Koran are considered pure and cannot be abrogated for all time and that goes for the 164 jihad alas’ among the 114 surahs of the Koran.
