Michigan: School, Police Chief Shut Down and Evacuate Pro-Freedom Talk about Sharia Law

The Allegan High School auditorium was evacuated Thursday evening after authorities became aware of a fatwa on the head of a speaker scheduled to appear at an event there.

Part way through a presentation on Shariah law and its potential impact on America earlier this month, former Muslim Kamal Saleem along with an audience of several hundred people gathered at Allegan High School auditorium were asked to leave the grounds by the city’s chief of police.

Apparently the mere threat of offended Muslims is enough for a Police Chief and his fascist goon squad to evacuate hundreds of attendees and the speaker of a lecture addressing sharia.

Blasphemy laws being enforced right here, America, in the good ole' U.S. of A.

The chief of police should be sued, the police department should be sued, and so should anyone else who had a hand in violating the freedom of speech we are guaranteed under the first amendment.

This fear of Islamic violence is un-American. This submission, caving into Islamic threats, is a violation of our first amendment rights. It's fascism. This is war on our freedoms. Are you going to join us and fight?

Part way through a presentation on Shariah law and its potential impact on America earlier this month, former Muslim Kamal Saleem along with an audience of several hundred people gathered at Allegan High School auditorium were asked to leave the grounds by the city’s chief of police.

Against vocal accusations of “violating free speech” and “the right of assembly,” Chief Rick Hoyer faced a crowd of upset tax-paying local citizens in the hallway and justified his actions of breaking up the gathering by citing his concern for the safety of other people and students in the building as he had heard there might be a $25 million reward on the head of the speaker.

What started for us as an opportunity to be educated on this issue, left my wife and I feeling violated. Do we now live in constant fear and intimidation here even in the Midwest that we can’t peaceably gather in public to hear a speaker? What was the real motivation and legality behind shutting down this gathering? It’s pretty obviously that there is great fear about the

truth of Shariah law getting out. It’s no longer a far away thing in some big city somewhere, it’s right here in small town America. Let’s wake up.

If the school and police chief shut this down fearing that Muslims would kill innocent Americans in an attempt on Kamal Saleem’s life, why aren’t groups like CAIR up in arms in protest? After all, Islam is a religion of peace isn’t it? Why would Muslims want to kill an ex-Muslim who is talking about the non-existent threat of Islamic sharia law?

One wonders if the police chief notified the jihadists that their target had left the building – since they didn’t evacuate any of the other ongoing events they were so concerned with.

Allegan Public Schools Superintendent Kevin Harness said the auditorium had been rented out for an event paid for by Allegan County Commissioner Bill Sage. It was not a school event. The speaker was Kamal Saleem. Saleem claims he is a former terrorist. He travels around the country speaking at events. Just before the event, police were made aware of a $25 million bounty on Saleem's head by Sagem, authorities said. Saleem's bodyguard told police that Islamic terrorists who follow the teaching of the Quran that have been directed to behead Saleem.

Allegan Police Chief Rick Hoyer told 24 Hour News 8 said that when police learned that information, they felt they did not have enough officers to make the event safe."We did not have adequate info to provide a safe environment for this event," Hoyer said.

Hoyer said that attendees did not want to leave the event at first.

"People in the audience were upset. They were concerned we were trying to censor them," said Hoyer. "We assured them we were not trying to censor them or step on their First amendment rights."

There were 3 other school-sponsored sporting events at which students were present going on in the school at the time of the event. Attendees of those sporting events were not evacuated.

Sage's event was called "Constituting Michigan – Founding Principles Act." The event was scheduled for 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.

Rep. Dave Agema of Michigan's 74th District was also scheduled to speak about a bill called American Law for American Courts — labeled HB4769 — which states that only American constitutional law may be used in American courts.

I was there and can tell you that the other sponsor of the event, Bill Sage, (I was one also as ACT for America Kalamazoo) notified both Allegan High School admin and the police of the fact that Kamal was an ex-terrorist speaking on the dangers of sharia and the constitution. My hunch is that the police Chief googled Kamal, after speaking with Bill, and got cold feet. Then CAIR sent a letter saying Kamal was a fraud, which hit local newspapers the week before. To make things even more interesting, the paper interviewed…wait for it… Dawud Walid of CAIR-Detroit. Walid of course went on record saying Kamal is a fake (slick taqiyya always fools reporters).

I think the fact that Chief Hoyer told Bill a few weeks before that we could have one uniformed policeman, saying that was all he could afford, and actually three showed up that night, tells me that Hoyer was fearful and looking for a reason to shut us down from the beginning.

He found that reason when it was mentioned in passing that Kamal had "once had a price on his head," as all ex-Muslims do when they speak out against sharia.

And in the above article, Hoyer lied when he said that we left the event and somehow agreed with his decision. This is false. We left very angry, and Police Chief Hoyer made it very clear that this was our only option, and that the Principal requested us to leave.

Three other speaking events that weekend went off perfectly.

Allegan is 2.5 hrs from Dearborn, and when I asked Hoyer directly if he knew what sharia law was, he just stared at me. Crickets chirped. I told him that by canceling our event, he was enforcing sharia law on us by refusing to allow dialogue that would inform the people attending how to defend themselves against sharia. He just stared at me. He didn't care.

And the patriot, Bill Sage, who was in charge of the event, got heat from the press, from the police, from the school, all because, IMHO, fear ruled, not facts.

If public safety is a valid reason for shutting down assemblies. then why haven’t police used that reason to shut down all these illegal crime-ridden “Occupy” gatherings around the nation?
Wake up America! If you think Islam is just some harmless far away religion that will never come to our shores as an invader, think again. Our own government is being infiltrated from top to bottom, White House to street cops, by those who would force their barbarous ideology upon us.

Forewarned is forearmed. If the speaker and his sponsors had had the Michigan State Police on their cell phones’ speed-dial they would have had a shot at telling Allegan police Chief Rick Hoyer “Don’t worry chief, the State Police are on their way and of course we are in no danger from the threatened assassins before the troopers arrive, because you are here and the terrorists know you have backup. As you know, Chief, threats cannot be used as an excuse to deprive Americans of their rights.” Always be prepared for the opposition’s resistance.
If that doesn’t shut up the local dhimmi, go for it. “Meanwhile, the First Amendment protects my freedom of speech. If you intend to shut me up you will have to arrest me and drag me off this podium by force.” Remember, the law — the Constitution — is on our side. Always be prepared for the opposition’s resistance.
You might be surprised at how far a confident and even belligerent attitude will take you when you have a mass of people supporting you. For proof of this, take a look at how far the stinking OWS belligerents have been able to push the authorities. Do not let anyone intimidate you until prudence and a decent respect for your own bodily integrity indicate that it’s time to fold.
Never expect the authorities to have the courage to protect your rights when they consider their natural cowardice to have no negative consequences. This is not the WWII generation in charge here. Be sure they know that you know your rights. And remember, always be prepared for the opposition’s resistance.

The police chief appears to be either breathtakingly incompetent or frighteningly complicit. Perhaps a combination of both. However, I suspect he’s a useful idiot who meant well.
Well said infidel4life and RalphB. Kevin has a good point, which is glaringly obvious as you read this – the crime is the threat and the attempt to solicit murder, but the cops go after the victim. Similar to a local situation we had, where there was an increase in theft from automobiles parked in driveways during the overnight hours. The solution? Draft an ordinance that fined car owners if they didn’t lock their doors! That’s right, don’t go after the criminals, punish Americans for doing something they have every right to do! This is the product of our current education system. Well meaning buffoons who have no idea that they are stupid, and are oblivious to the harm they are causing.
But it boils down to this: If there was a threat requiring evacuation, then EVERYONE needed to be evacuated, and the chief is incompetent and needs to go.
If there wasn’t a threat requiring evacuation, then the chief was a tool of a craven school district submitting to the Muslims. And that’s what the schools are teaching our kids. Submit. Submit to “authority”, submit to political correctness, never stand up for your rights. Don’t think for yourself, don’t question, don’t even LISTEN to ideas you find uncomfortable.

What is even more sinister and scary than the intentions of the Jihadists themselves, is this attitude of complicity coming from many in Law Enforcement. It’s easy for us to think of Jihadists as rampaging wild-eyed, AK-carrying, diaper-headed fanatics who haven’t showered in a month (if ever). But that’s not how they role in our hood. They’re using our own legal system and our own law-enforcers against us. I don’t have to worry about roadside IEDs when I run out to do errands, what I am worried about is how Law Enforcement will become their accomplices in implementing sharia here, by force if necessary. Shades of a certain country in Europe in the 1930s.

I just learned my state Medical Board is requiring Continued Medical Education on “CLINICAL CULTURAL COMPETENCE”. An example under a heading PRACTICING IN A CULTURALLY COMPETENT WAY: CASE STUDY: A 25 year old Muslim woman who is planning marriage in the near future is in the office requesting contraception from her new physician. Her physician who is not a Muslim, notes the patient’s religion from the intake form and from her use of a head scarf, and asks ‘how many wives does your future husband have?’ The young woman is offended and asks to see another “provider”.
WTF? First of all, where is the problem? She is as the Case Study makes clear, able to seek another “provider”. (I go white with rage when they will not even call us doctors or physicians or surgeons, but PROVIDERS! We did not go through med school internship, residency, fellowships to be Providers.)
WHY is it incumbent upon us to walk on eggs in regard to offending the easily offended. Since Moosleems engage in Polygamy, why is that an offensive question? If so thin-skinned the “health care consumer” is free to return to her native Crapistan.

Your state Medical Board is actually FORCING DOCTORS to put the Board’s PC “Multi-Cultural” BS and DHIMMI PANDERING ahead of your Hippocritic Oath and undoubtedly your PRACTICE of MEDICINE.
Your State Board is under the jurisdicion of your state’s Governor/Executive Branch ,who probably ORDERED this SUBMISSION to Sharia.
If your Governor is a Democrat or a Norquist Puppet Republican than that EXPLAINS much.
