We won’t eat halal meat, say MPs and peers: Reject Islamic Supremacist Demands to serve it at Westminster

20

The Palace of Westminster has rejected demands to serve halal meat: "We won't eat halal meat, say MPs and peers who reject demands to serve it at Westminster."

MPs don't want to eat halal (and understandably so), but Americans are forced to — unwittingly, of course, but forced to nonetheless, because halal meat does not have to be labeled halal if it is not being sold as halal. Pointing out this glaring violation of consumer (and non-Muslims') rights out draws reams of scorn and derision from the Islamic supremacists and their leftist tools and puppets. Back in November the jihad-aligned media was rabid when I exposed halal turkeys being sold without being marked halal.

Most non-Muslims would reject eating halal if they knew the bismalla allahu akbar was said over the meat (much the way allahu akbar is wailed when infidels are being slaughtered as well).

Story continues below advertisement

In halal slaughter, each and every animal is offered in prayer as a sacrifice to Allah. Some imams are so lame as to play a tape recording of the prayer on the kill line as they sleep in the office. But each animal is a sacrifice to an idol. So there is no question in halal slaughter that non-muslims who find this problematic would consider it food sacrificed to idols. Again the bottom line is that without the labeling, there is no way to know for sure whether the meat you are buying is halal or not.

The meat is only marked halal or kosher if it is being marketed as such, but the rest of the product slaughtered in that way is not being labeled. For example:

An Egyptian customer wants 2000 lbs halal chicken leg quarters. To meet that order, an entire shift of 100,000 chickens are slaughtered halal. 2000 lbs of leg quarters from that shift are labeled halal and sent to that Egyptian customer. The remaining 498,000 lbs of halal slaughtered chicken are sent to their regular customers unlabeled as having been slaughtered halal. The buyers of the other 498,000 lbs have absolutely no idea that it was slaughtered halal, as it is not required to be labeled as such, since it isn't being sold as such. What we are asking for is that the identity of ALL of the product slaughtered halal be maintained and labeled as such. Since the halal portion of the process is the kill step, the entire carcass becomes halal. Not labeling product that was slaughtered halal as such is "false and misleading labeling." This is one of SIOA's initiatives in the first quarter of 2012: to make sure that halal meat is labeled halal. I will be updating shortly on our progress. Help us fight — go here.

I discuss this extensively in my book, Stop the Islamization of America: A Practical Guide to the Resistance.

We won't eat halal meat, say MPs and peers who reject demands to serve it at Westminster
Mail on Sunday

The Palace of Westminster has rejected demands to serve halal meat in its restaurants.

Muslim MPs and peers have been told they cannot have meat slaughtered in line with Islamic tradition because the method – slitting an animal’s throat without first stunning it – is offensive to many of their non-Muslim colleagues.

The stance has infuriated some parliamentarians who have eaten meat in the Palace’s 23 restaurants and cafes, having been assured that it was halal.

Lord Ahmed of Rotherham said: ‘I did feel misled. I think a halal option should be made available.’

In 2010, the Mail on Sunday revealed schools, hospitals and restaurants were serving halal meat to unwitting customers.

Waitrose, Marks & Spencer, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, Somerfield and the Co-op all said they stocked meat slaughtered according to Islamic tradition without letting customers know.

Fast-food chains including Domino’s Pizza, Pizza Hut, KFC, Nando’s and Subway are also using halal meat without telling customers, it was revealed.

Members of the Church of England have complained that the spread of halal meat was 'effectively spreading Sharia law' across Britain.

Maybe everyone should switch to KOSHER meat…that way you are assured it’s not Halal. That would burn them up, wouldn’t it?

I was recently in London and knew the difficulties of finding non-tainted food. I ended up eating fish and pork!

Or, just eat pork and fish.
Hey wait a minute, I have a better idea. We should all write to our legislators and demand that no halal meat be sold in the United States, labeled or unlabeled, as halal slaughter is in violation of every humane slaughter law ever written in the US, to say nothing of the unsanitary conditions in which this unspeakably cruel, barbaric slaughter takes place.

And what about all the meat that people eat from kosher killings which is not labeled as such? With cows, the hind quarters (the best cuts) are sent to market all the time rather than wasted, and not labelled as kosher. The slaughter house gets it to do what they wish. The whole concept shows how ludicrous religious slaughter is. It’s no different than creating magical water. Nothing has happened to the meat or the water. Why would I care if some rabbi or priest prayed over the water I bought in a bottle at the 7/11?
However, I do agree that it is wrong for any cost of religious mumbo-jumbo be passed onto the consumer. And I do agree that halal is a cruel form of killing that dates from before modern technology and instantaneous, humane methods. It should be the focus of groups like PETA to eliminate it. In fact, it should be outlawed in modern countries.
So, you are correct to object to the halal issue, but for nonsensical reasons. At least in the article above.

¡Egad! — the Brits have found their stones again.
All halal meat is sacrificed to Allah, who I am convinced more and more everyday is actually the Baal the Hebrews have warned us about for 3,000+ years now. Muslims are always saying the Master this and the Master that. It is a Master:slave death sentence. ‘Baal’ translated from Hebrew to English is … master.
And the leftists embrace this with ¿abandon? There is a neurological disconnect somewhere.

Florida Infidel-Kosher meat has no “blessing” on it. Everyone thinks this is what makes it kosher, but the rabbis do not “pray” over the meat. Basically the animals are killed humanely, in a split second so as not to drag out any pain or suffering. Kosher meat is more expensive because not only of the way of slaughter, but also because the meat then soaked and salted to remove the blood.
The pieces that are thrown out are probably not more expensive than normal since this process is not done with that meat. As well, this meat is not considered kosher due to not removing all blood, so consumers are not being tricked to eat kosher meat.

Old Cross-eyes —
re: “the hind quarters (the best cuts) are sent to market all the time rather than wasted, and not labelled as kosher.”
No hind quarters are kosher, and are therefore always sent to non-kosher markets.
This is a biblical prohibition for Jews relating to the sciatic nerve (gid hanasheh) and is derived from the account of Jacob’s (Israel’s) struggle with the angel in Genesis 32.

Also Old Cross-eyes —
No sacrificial rite is administered with kosher slaughter. It is simply a humane method of slaughter. I know, this seems oxymoronic.

here:

“The hind quarter contains the sciatic nerve. Which is biblically prohibited. This originates Genesis chapter 32 in the story of Jacob wrestling with the angel when he is injured in his thigh. After this the bible says:
Therefore the children of Israel eat not the sinew of the thigh-vein which is upon the hollow of the thigh, unto this day; because he touched the hollow of Jacob’s thigh, even in the sinew of the thigh-vein. (JPS translation)
To take out the vein is a very delicate and difficult process so most kosher meat production plants remove the whole hind quarter and sell it as non kosher meat.”

Here in London, my local McDonald’s, Burger King, KFC, and Subway all sell Halal, and have certificates on the walls saying as much.

Meh. If some one has said a prayer (no matter how barbaric) over some meat I might happen to have eaten is not a problem for me. Perhaps for others and I would respect and support their efforts to keep this from happening to them.
Now if I was REQUIRED to eat halal (or even Kosher) meat, then I would have a problem. Or if a law was passed that said all meat had to be halal or kosher THEN I would also have a problem with that.
It is telling that some fast food places are not informing their public that they are serving halal meat.
Tempest in a teapot unless they make it a REQUIREMENT. Then’s when to go on the attack. Like with what the mp and peers did.
Stop the open requirement of Sharia law. Don’t waste time with the side issues.

HALLAL AIN’T KOSHER OR CLEAN. THE ANIMAL IS SLAUGHTERED AT HOMES, USUALLY BASHED ON THE HEAD OR ITS NECK CHOPPED OFF; CHICKENS ARE KILLED THE SAME WAY. ISLAM IS A CHEAP COPY CAT ROBBER AND GOT IT WRONG. ISLAM’S QURAN HAS NO ANIMAL RIGHTS LAWS AS IN THE HEBREW BIBLE:
DO NOT OVERLOAD AN ANIMAL.
DO NOT TAKE THE MOTHER WITH THE OFFSPRING.
FEED YOUR ANIMAL THAN YOURSELF.
DO NOT LEAVE A HOLE IN THE GROUND IN AN ANIMAL’S VICINITY.
DO NOT BIND AN OX’S MOUTH WHEN IT THREADS THE GRAIN.
DO NOT MIX A MOTHER’S MILK WITH ITS KID.
DO NOT CONSUME THE BLOOD.

Dear Lord Ahmed of Rotherham: ‘A halal option‘ has been ‘made available.’, we call it vegetarianism (I recommend Soya-Burgers).
Halal meat presents 2 problems:
1. Non-stunning of animals before a slow, painful and terrifying death;
2. A portion of the sale money goes to islamic organisations, meaning schools providing halal meat at the cost of the tax payers are unintentionally subsidising islamization.

“Lord” Ahmed? I wonder how he got that title. Is that like printing up your own business cards and calling yourself a “CEO” of your one-person (yourself), backyard dog washing service?

Actually, if you want to get really technical, Kosher is a form of halal. Halal means “legal”. And meat from the Jews is legal to us. Meat in which the food has had the name of Allah uttered is halal, but more technically “zabihah”. If no name was called over it and it’s just supermarket meat, it’s mukrooh. That just means “disliked” but it’s not forbidden.
Basically, if you want to stay away from what Muslims eat, you can’t eat Kosher either. A lot of Muslims who can’t afford halal shops buy from kosher markets instead. And kosher IS totally halal (allowed without question) to eat. I’m shocked that Pamela Gellar is against ALL forms of halal given she is a Jew and her own Kosher cuisine is considered halal as well.
PS- I wear full hijab and eat halal. And I don’t want to kill my neighbour, an Israeli immigrant and HE doesn’t want to kill me either. Actually, we’re rather fond and respectful of each other. I’m rather saddened by the hate I discovered here today. The reason there are wars is because of this sort of hate. I really don’t understand how people can hate a whole group without knowing ALL of them. That being said, I don’t hate any of you who have shown hate to people of my religion. Rather, I hope that someday you can meet a nice Muslim person who is willing to show you that we aren’t monsters. I really do pray for peace to come.

American customs and way of life is NOT welcome in muslim countries ever. Why are muslims surprised we don’t embrace theirs either? This is America and we are NOT a muslim country. Jews are not even allowed to enter Saudi Arabia for one and others are the same. We as Americans are most often gracious to immigrants but are getting sick of being taken advantage of and it seen for being weak. If muslims wanted to worship allah here, they can do it. The problem comes when we are being forced to abide by muslim religious rites. There has to be a STOP somewhere. Most Americans find halal offensive and disgusting and do not wish to have this going on in our country or be lied to about what we are being forced to eat.

I am an American Jew and i do not find halal meat to be offensive in the least. In fact, Kosher and Halal rules are very similar. Who cares if a few words are muttered as the animal is slaughtered? They are just WORDS!! Only the listener can give them power.

Goodness gracious! HA HA! Little do you know!
I will be opening a halal restaurant IN the new “Freedom Tower” now being built at “ground zero”.
A small one, of course. In one of the food courts. It may expand depending on popularity.
“PUSHTABS”
It will be serving ONLY halal food, but of course will be open to non-Muslims.
I am not Muslim myself, but I count many as my friends.
As well, since there has been so much controversy over the “ground-zero” mosque a few blocks away, I and some Muslim friends are in the process of renting a whole floor (42nd or 43rd) in the new Freedom tower, where we shall have an Islamic cultural center, as well as, of course, a prayer room.
The old “ground-zero mosque is too far away. Ours will be RIGHT INSIDE the tower!
Come taste some of my delicious turkey sandwiches when the restaurant finally opens.
“PUSHTAB’S” – purveyors of fine Halal delicacies!
Of course there will be no pork or Alcoholic beverages sold. Sorry.
Is this not wonderful?
