Muslims Attack Christian Group at Town Hall Meeting, Killing at least 20 Christians

Suspected gunmen from a radical Muslim sect attacked a town hall Friday in rural northeast Nigeria, killing at least 20 people who had gathered for a meeting of a Christian ethnic group, police said.

The attack at noon targeted a town hall where Christian Igbo people were holding a meeting, with gunmen chanting 'God is great' as they fired Kalashnikov rifles.

The killings come after a spokesman for the sect known as Boko Haram threatened to begin specifically targeting Christians living in the country's Muslim north in its increasingly bloody sectarian fight with Nigeria's weak central government.

[..] 'We started hearing many gunshots through the windows,' said Okey Raymond, 48, who attended the meeting. 'Everyone scampered for safety, but the gunmen chanted: 'God is great God is great' while shooting at us.'
Raymond said he hid under a table and escaped out a back door.

The gunmen also carried knives and machetes, the police commissioner said.

No arrests have been made in the attack, which left at least another 15 people wounded.

Friday's attack comes after gunmen attacked a church in the northeast Nigeria city of Gombe during a prayer service Thursday night, spraying the congregation with gunfire and killing at least eight people including the pastor's wife, local medical officials said.

No one has claimed responsibility for that attack, though Boko Haram has targeted churches in the past in its campaign to implement strict Shariah law across Nigeria.

Boko Haram, whose name means 'Western education is sacrilege' in the local Hausa language, is responsible for at least 510 killings last year alone, according to an Associated Press count.

The group claimed responsibility for an attack that killed at least 42 people in a Christmas Day bombing of a Catholic church near Abuja, as well as a suicide car bombing targeting the U.N. headquarters in the capital that killed 25 people and wounded more than 100.

Nigeria's central government has been slow to respond to the sect.

I’m not a Christian. My sprituality is a private matter. But I am an American. I am a human who can discern a superior creed, philosophy, or principle… and freedom is superior to submission.
There is a reckoning coming.

We need to be provide martial and political support to the victims and our military needs to work with them to eradicate Shari’ah in Nigeria.
Western Europe and Israel’s sad experiences with trying to appease the Shari’ah-adherent savages is instructive. There is no amount of pacifism, no amount of appeasement, which is sufficient for these beasts. CAIR, Boko Haram, Al-Qaeda and Hamas are not impressed when humans try to win their favor. So long as Mohammed is worshipped, there will be jihad, rape, and violence.
Its time to fight back against Mohammed’s death cult! What could be more moral than helping the victims eradicate the culture that produced Boko Haram!

Muslims are attacking the peripheries of Christendom just as before, preying on the indolence and apathy of the central Christian powers.
Obama has not been the first Democrat president to turn his back on the Christians under siege. Bill Clinton actually helped the Muslims to take the land off the Christians in Serbia.
Islam is playing Cold War games with Christendom but the corrupt Western leaders won’t even acknowledge that the other side has declared war and is gaining ground through force.
Islam is at war with the entirety of the non-Muslim world and our leaders are too busy trying to score deals and win votes with the enemy that is: buying and building weapons, training armies, breeding soldiers and launching attacks.
