Exclusive Interview with Jailed Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi

18

Cnsider that Obama's State Department met with the modern-day universal caliphate, the OIC, in Washington last week to discuss ways to limit free speech and enforce these same blasphemy laws under the sharia that call for the death of Asia Bibi. We have an American administration on record at the UN calling for restrictions on free speech. Treason.

Exclusive Interview with Jailed Pakistani Christian Asia Bibi by Pamela Geller

Asia Bibi, a Christian woman, has been sentenced to death under Pakistan's notorious blasphemy law for insulting Islam. She is now in prison. The law is often used to settle grudges, persecute minorities and fan rage of the Islamic devout.

Story continues below advertisement

The same thing is coming here. The recent cancellation of my event by a Houston hotel, and the subsequent cancellation of an anti-Sharia conference in Nashville represent the first stage of the application of Islamic blasphemy laws here in America. Where full-on Sharia is enforced, "blasphemers" get the death penalty. Here in America, your character is assassinated.

As part of my work to aid those whose lives are threatened for leaving Islam, I have been in touch with Asia through a Pakistani journalist and human rights activist from the Masihi Foundation, which works for the human rights and education of Pakistani Christians. He recently visited Asia Bibi in prison and asked her questions I gave him. Here are her answers:

Pamela Geller: What happened when you were arrested?

Asia Bibi: When I was arrested, I was assaulted and harassed by the police. I was in a state of shock for many days. I fasted and prayed. My family has been in trouble; they have been moving one place to another. But I have forgiven the Muslims who put me and my family in this situation.

PG: How are you being treated?

AB: I live in a confined cell. I am allowed to go out for only 30 minutes every day, and allowed to meet my family for one hour every Tuesday. I am given raw material to cook for myself, since the administration fears I might be poisoned, as other Christians accused of blasphemy were poisoned or killed in the jail. The security on my duty is polite. Last week, a few hot words were exchanged with the warden over a minute issue, and she tried to strangle me. She has been suspended.PG: What are your expectations for the future?

AB: I pray and fast. I want to be with my family, hug my daughters, kiss them. I am waiting for a date from the Lahore High Court for the appeal regarding my death sentence. Life for All is supporting my family and has hired a lawyer for the case. A petition has been filed at the Lahore High Court asking them to accept the case for hearing. I am hopeful that I will be released, although there is a bounty of about $8,000 offered by the Islamic clerics to anyone who will kill me. I have left everything on God, I will accept His will.

PG: Do you have a message for the Christians of the U.S.?

AB: I request them to pray and do something for the Christians in Pakistan who are suffering and persecuted. There are many other Christians in jails who need help. The Christians in the U.S. can help the human rights organizations who fight for the persecuted, and become the voice of the voiceless.

PG: Is there any way Americans can help you?

AB: They can pray and ask their government and representatives to do something for the persecuted Christians.PG: What do you think of the Pakistani blasphemy law?

AB: Blasphemy law is a manmade law. It is being misused in Pakistan to settle personal vendettas, it should be repealed or at least amended. It has claimed so many innocent lives. I have also been falsely accused.

PG: What is the general situation of Christians in Pakistan?

AB: It's not very good. The Christians specially in the villages are living the worst life. They are mistreated, abused and framed for false cases, as they cannot afford to fight for their rights. The NGOs need support to help them; they are denied government jobs and not given respect. Only 10% of the Christians are able to get good jobs and are settled only because they are educated. The odd jobs in the country are reserved only for the Christians.

My contact also talked with Asia's daughters. Her daughter Alishba said, "We are praying and fasting for our mother so that she can be with us. I visit her with my father and each time I meet her, I can't stop myself, and tears pour out. My mother tries to hold my hand through the gaps between the grilled window and says, 'Have faith in the Lord, He will bring me home one day.' Every time I hear these words, I cry to the Lord to bring back my mother so that we can be with her again."

Asia's youngest daughter said: "It has been months since I last saw my mother. I am scared. I just see her pictures and can't control my tears. I fear that I will not be able to see my mother in the condition she is in. As I have the pleasant memories of her when she was with us, I cannot even imagine what she is going through. There are times I even lose all the hope of seeing her ever again, so I want to keep the memories of her smiling and playing with us. If she comes back to us, I will forget this whole thing as a bad dream."

If only it were.

What mother can read this and not have their heart broken?
Do we not think this could happen to any of us? Do we not every Christmas and Hanukkah wonder if this could be our last? Perhaps we should. Perhaps the best thing we can do is to put ourselves in Asia’s shoes, if only in our hearts and minds and deeds. Islam is snuffing out one spirit, one life, one family, one country at a time. Empathy and compassion are only effective among the healthy and the free.

Are there any Christian organizations in the US that have taken up the cause of the Pakistani Christians? Sort of a Christian version of Student Struggle for Soviet Jewery?

Thanks for sharing the update about Asia Bibi. We have been in prayer for her for some time. I’ve written to the Pakistani ambassador to Canada on her behalf. May the Lord protect her and comfort her and her family.

The religion of peace. Where clerics put a bounty on the head of a woman already in jail. It’s not just sick, it’s downright evil.

I hope so much that people all over the world will help this lady and her family. Ordinary people need to get behind this woman and encourage others to bring her plight to the fore. Don’t leave this in the hands of christian leaders – you will mostly only get appeasement.
I am wondering, if USA leaders of Christian faith groups are anything like ours in the UK. Imo, don’t expect full support or co-operation from Christian faith leaders to speak out against the the barbarism which islam inflicts and embraces.
In England, so-called ‘Interfaith’ and ‘Bridge Building’ groups and associations, are now mostly eating out of the palms of islam, bending every which way to appease islam – encouraging islam into our schools, forcing islam down the throats of our young children, total full-on indoctrination. They are now mostly corrupt and in the main, run by closet leftists, anti-semites, islamic apologists and appeasers.
Imo these ‘groups’ should all be morally and financiallly scrutinised. Government funding does after all come from the hard working peoples coffers, yet in return, we now find these groups work against the very people who help fund them!
Good luck USA.

Ordinary folk need to get back in the loop, so to speak. People who are savvy on islam need to start getting involved in these so-called ‘building bridges’ orgs, otherwise they will continue to run away with themselves, leaving them all as useful as a chocolate teapot.
Get involved, turn the tv off, get out there and be the sane voice amongst those who have totally lost their way. We have a duty to try and turn all this around, we have a duty to our children and our childrens children. We can’t afford to leave this dire legacy to our children.
Gets off soapbox…….

My advice to Asia Bibi is to stop misinterpreting the scriptures. Sne needs to pray for her enemies, but not FORGIVE them. Doesn’t someone have to be sorry and repent first before you forgive them? How are you going to fight them if you already forgave them? That is an act of weakness. She needs to be strong in the Lord and FIGHT BACK.
That is the only way out of this injustice. Anything else they will see as an act of submision. You must remain defiant. If you are all nice and forgiving, they will think that Allah is conquering you and torture you more. Forgiving them is like saying they owe you nothing more. Don’t they owe you your FREEDOM?
Don’t treat them as your Christian brothers and sisters but as your enemies, because that is what they are. They are trying to play my god is bigger than your god. Show them who is boss. Trust in the Lord, not in the mercy of the system.

I know that there is a guy in India who has branches of his organization in the US. I think his name is K P Yohannon and his ministry is Gospel for Asia. He sends missionaries out to the remote parts of India where the people have never heard the Gospel. The missionaries often get attacked and the villagers try to kill them. Pakistan is an occupied part of India due to Muslim control, which then became a separate nation.
Maybe KP will help you help people in Pakistan. That is all I can think of. Also maybe Project Blessing from the 700 Club goes all over the world. Maybe you could call them up and ask them if they do any work in Pakistan. I know that Pat Robertson and his son are lawyers and even run a law school at Regent University. Maybe you can see if they would want to get a legal team together.
I think Pakistan is a dangerous place for even moderate Muslims, so I doubt that a lot of real Christians feel like going there. The Christians there I guess are mostly compliant with the regime so that they don’t get killed themselves.

Bibi, a Christian woman, has been sentenced to death for insulting Islam.
This is exactly what Hillary Clinton is doing for US at the UN.
See Pamela’s previous article on this and article at Big Peace from a few days ago.
Clinton should be hanged for treason.

There is only one Islam. Muslims get along with Jews in Israel because Jews have the upper hand, but this does not happen in any other state where Muslims have the upper hand. What is happening in Pakistan is a snapshot of what will happen in any country which allows Islam to flourish (this word seems out of place). I would invite readers to visit http://www.worldvisioninprogress.yolasite.com to see more evidence of Islam’s barbaric influence and also to see pictures of Asia’s daughters and husband.

to BB: Asia is not misinterpreting the scriptures- we are required by Christ to forgive everything of everyone. Just as mentioned in the Lord’s prayer. How can she expect her sins to be forgiven if she can’t forgive the sins of others, especially after Jesus died for hers? The Grace she possesses is holy and will redeem her. I wish I were as brave as faithful as she.

Dolemike, did you know that the Lord’s Prayer as written in the King James Bible is a far cry from the one aimed at being a literal translation from the Aramaic? It does not say anything like that, which is why it makes no sense. If you forgive everything, what is the need for repentance? If we are to be Christlike, why do we need to show repentance then if it is wrong? There can be no forgiveness without repentence. You have a very cursory understanding of the scriptures.
