Islamic Honor Killing In Texas: “Santa Killer” Was Muslim Who Hated Daughter Dating A Non-Muslim

54

The mainstream media has reported this as the "Santa killer." No mention that it was an Islamic honor killing until this Dallas Morning News story. Our daughters and granddaughters are going to be the ones who will suffer because of this obfuscation and excusal of barbarism.

This has been going on for years. When Amina and Sarah Said were brutally murdered by their father, also in Texas, on New Year’s Day 2008 for the same reason — having non-Muslim boyfriends — I thought, this is it. This is going to break the dam wide open. America would not, could not possibly, ignore this horror caused by and sanctioned by Islamic beliefs, assumptions, and attitudes.

And yet America continues to ignore this horror. And more and more people are victimized every day.

Islamic honor killing in Texas: "Santa" who murdered family on Christmas morning was Muslim who didn't like his daughter dating a non-Muslim Robert Spencer at Jihadwatch

Aziz Yazdanpanah, a Muslim, didn't like his daughter's non-Muslim boyfriend and was exhibiting stalker behavior. “She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion.”

Again and again we have seen honor killings in which fathers kill daughters who are dating non-Muslims or have supposedly besmirched the family honor by some sexual indiscretion. Lt. Todd Dearing says that motive isn't important — which is generally only the case when Islam is involved.

"Neighbors horrified at news of family’s slayings in Grapevine," by Gloria Salinas and Scott Goldstein for the Dallas Morning News, December 26 (thanks to Steve):

GRAPEVINE — Aziz Yazdanpanah seemed to be losing control of his life in recent months — his wife left him, his house was in foreclosure, and his 19-year-old daughter was dating a young man he didn’t like.

Even so, the 58-year-old former real estate agent from Colleyville seemed to be holding it together. Neighbors say he would smile and wave as he drove through his middle-class neighborhood. Recently, he was seen raking leaves in his yard.

“He was very friendly, a very good neighbor,” said Carrie Stewart, who lives across the street. “He was out here often doing yard work and he even watched our house for us when we went to Colorado.”

A decent fellow indeed.

Yazdanpanah, a volunteer high school debate coach described as a doting father, is the focus of suspicion a day after a Christmas morning massacre in which a man dressed as Santa Claus killed six relatives and then committed suicide.

Grapevine police arrived at the Lincoln Vineyard Apartment Homes a few minutes before noon and discovered bodies sprawled among opened presents and wrapping paper. The victims were ages 15 to 58….

Citing public records and interviews with friends and neighbors, media reports Monday identified Yazdanpanah and others who had died: his estranged 55-year-old wife, Fatemeh Rahmati, their 19-year-old daughter, Nona Narges Yazdanpanah, and 15-year-old son, Ali Yazdanpanah.

Friends of the family said Fatemeh Rahmati’s 58-year-old sister, Zohreh Rahmaty, and her husband, Hossein Zarei, 59, and daughter Sahra Zarei, a 22-year-old pre-med student at the University of Texas at Arlington, also were killed.

Grapevine police Lt. Todd Dearing said investigators were working to piece together a timeline of the murders, but they may never know exactly what set off the gunman.

“Motive is not really the primary point right now,” Dearing said. “It’s more along the lines of what happened, how it transpired and making sure that who we believe to be the shooter is the shooter. Motive is what comes afterward for us if we can get it.”

He said a neighbor at the apartment complex saw the suspected shooter get out of his white sport utility vehicle dressed in a Santa outfit, including a full coat, pants, boots and belt. Based in part on that witness account, police believe the shootings occurred about the time a 911 call rang into the station at 11:34 a.m. Sunday.

The line was silent….

Grapevine police also searched the Colleyville home where Aziz Yazdanpanah had been living since he separated from his wife last spring. Public records show that the couple had filed for bankruptcy in 2010 and that the property was in foreclosure….

Yazdanpanah said he bought a gun after expressing concern that his daughter’s boyfriend was stalking him. He also insisted on picking up his daughter from her job at a phone kiosk inside Sam’s Club in Grapevine because of concerns about the alleged stalker.

The boyfriend has not been publicly identified.

Neighbors said the family was Muslim but had always hung Christmas lights on their home — except this year.

Terri Baum, who lives three homes down from Yazdanpanah, said she had seen him around the neighborhood in the last couple of weeks.

“They were pretty quiet, but kind, very kind,” Baum said. “They were sweet, good parents, and they loved their kids very much.”

Baum’s daughter, Allison, attended Colleyville Heritage High School with Nona, where the girls were part of an academic team focused on developing business leaders. They graduated together in May.

“Allison would take her to school from here, and then when they moved out she would pick her up from the apartments,” Baum said. “It’s unbelievable because of the people we knew them to be, and their children were good kids, very focused.”

Baum said she was horrified at the possibility the killings had been a murder-suicide.

“All I want to say is, it is so unbelievably shocking because they loved their kids,” Baum said.

Yes, loved them to death.

But a more ominous portrait emerged of Yazdanpanah in interviews with some of his daughter’s other classmates.

“She would come to school crying and telling us her dad was crazy,” said Lacie Reed, 18. “He wouldn’t let her wear certain things. He was always taking her phone away, checking her call history and checking her text messages.”

Friends said Nona’s father had installed cameras all around the home so he could watch the family’s comings and goings. Others said he nailed her bedroom window shut so she could not sneak out at night and see her boyfriend.

“She couldn’t date at all until she was a certain age, but when he was going to let her date she couldn’t date anyone outside of their race or religion,” Reed said.

Yiselle Alvarenga, 18, said Nona’s mother and brother seemed to come to her aid when her father punished her.

“He would take her phone away and her mother would give it back to her and her brother would let her use his phone,” Alvarenga said. “She was doing good. She was just excited that her life was going to start and she was going to have control of it.”…

As a native Texan this kind of story just breaks my heart. These families come here for the freedom and then try to prevent their children from experiencing any of it. But it’s not just Texas. I lived in Ohio for awhile. Our town of about 50,000 had a murder of a young woman under suspicious circumstances. She had been gunned down as she got out of her car on a city street. When the facts came out, it was revealed that her own brother had shot her under orders from her father because the young Muslim woman had the temerity to wear makeup and want to be with non-Muslim friends. She was 19 years old.

You statement, “These families come here for the freedom … ” is far from the truth. These people do NOT come here for freedom. They come here to infiltrate and eventually take over. It is the Third Jihad:

Seeing as all of the victims of this jihadi assault were nominally Muslims, it strengthens my own suspicion that we shd be a little more patient with those silent, or “mildly” critical Muslims who do not denounce their louder brethren. Do you notice that the moderates never go jihadi and mass murder a house full of extremist people?
Amazing this chilling story of a camouflaged Santa Jihadi was fuerther camouflaged by the lamestream media, I heard the story but only Atlas gave the BOMBSHELL JIHAD ANGLE. I was of course expecting the typical “crazy Texas gunowners again prove their craziness”angle we’ve come to know and love.

The satanic cult of death REQUIRES BLOOD SACRIFICE for any number of offenses: being non-muslim, apostasy, misbehavior, disobedience, insulting the pedophile prophet of death, drawing the pedophile prophet of death, dating, etc.
These are only pious demon worshipers practicing their demonic cult, fully protected, by an army of feds and prosecutors all of whom report to comrade holder, as a *religion*.

“Crazy comes in all religious and non religious colors.”
——-
Yes, MAO, but which religion demands vegeance on the part of their G-d? Which religion stipulates the murdering of those who reject religious ideology? How many Catholics have beheaded their wives because of apostasy? How many Jews have run over their daughters? How many Buddhists have hunted down their stepdaughters and shot them to death? How many Hindus have raped and then shot their daughters for rejecting the family’s religion?
“Muslim extremists, those that take it that literally, are no less crazy than groups who commit mass suicide.”
Which group committed mass suicide? Are you speaking of Jim Jones in Guyana? That happened 40 years ago. Nothing on this planet can compare to the terror that Islam has set upon humanity.

This is NOT true. I heard from a close friend of the family that the father did not even believe in the quran. This was a family of Iranians and Iranians are not religious (the people, not the regime). I respect Pamela Geller greatly for her work on the evils of Islamic ideology (I am an Iranian atheist) but I think she jumped the gun on this one.

Iranians are fake Muslims. I am Iranian. Iranians in general are in no way practicing Muslims and in fact there are more atheists in Iran than in the U.S. (behind closed doors of course). I spent over 8-months in Iran last year. We are not like other “Muslims” or Islamic Arabs.
Here is the correct link to their memorial page on facebook. Simply look at their pictures and you will see that they were not a Muslim family: https://www.facebook.com/pages/Rest-In-Peace-Zarei-Rahmati-Yazdanpanah-family/277991395582820?sk=wall

@Sassan Darian”
If they have not officially turned their backs on islam, in other words if they were not apostates then they were still muslims, maybe not orthodox but muslims none the less. The father was obviously muslim enough to honor murder the rest of the family . 91% of “honor” killings world wide are committed by muslims .
Islam is islam and muslims are muslims, until they officially become apostates. Then they are at the risk of death for leaving the cult, that’s why many don’t.

@AuntieIzlam: Please go spend some time and communicate with Iranians and you will see that over 99% of Iranians inside the U.S. and over 85% of Iranians inside of Iran are not practicing Muslims and in fact many are either atheist, converted to other religions like Christianity or Zoroastrianism, or simply do not practice Islam but call themselves Muslim because they believe in a vague belief of a god. This was NOT an honor killing and had nothing to do with Islam and from a family friend I know, the father did not even believe in the quran or religion in general. He had other issues obviously (such as male superiority and the control of his daughter) but it did not have to do with the religion. It may have had to do with his own cultural upbringing when he was young.

This was an Islamic honor-killing. Under Sharia law, parents may kill their children for rebelling against Islam, and wives are considered property that a husband may beat into submission and rape at will (The Qur’an tells men wives are like fields they can “plow” as the man “sees fit.”). This media policy of not showing anything Muslims do – even crimes – in a negative light is interfering with prosecution of crime in the U.S. It is refusing to acknowledge the criminal intent of First-Degree Murder and enabling Sharia law to be enforced and upheld.

@Mary: I am atheist. I despise Islam. Islam has destroyed my homeland. If this was an “honor killing” I would be the first one saying so. But the FACTS of this individual case is that the father was not a practicing Muslim and did not even believe in religion and the quran. This case did NOT have to do with Islam. Let’s go with the FACTS a little..

Lets take islam out of eqation for a minute. This guy was hard core primitive barbaric persian. He did not believe in koran or islam but he did not like his family becoming too americanized. He like to control his women and son.
Since they were smart they got education ,jobs, businesses, while he wae stuck in 3000 yrs BC.
Lossing control of his family, divorce, and other problems was a tipping point, and in his sick mind he was doing the right thing, that real muslim would do.
And foreclosure has nothing to do with it, he worked for real estate company, if anybody knew how to avoid foreclosure ,real estate agent woud know.

“Motive is not really the primary point right now,” Dearing said.
Of course not, Lt. Dhimmi Dearing, otherwise people might put two and two together and remember that Muslim men honor kill the women in their families whenever they are feeling a little insecure. The tell tale sign was that the guy didn’t like who his daughter was dating. (Remember Yasser Sayed and his New Years murder spree?) Instead of forbidding her to date him or going after the boyfriend, he killed her, and his son, his wife and her relatives too. Classic Islam. Although if a Catholic priest had done it his name would have been splashed all over the newspapers and MSNBC by now.
And Sassan if you really are who you say you are you know better than anybody this guy didn’t leave Islam because he couldn’t, kind of like the Hotel California: you can check out any time you like but you can never leave. You can take the Muslim out of the ME but you can;t take the insecurities out of the Muslim.

Sassan Darian
Sassan Darian

rumorhasit: That is a much better analysis. My point is, that it wasn’t an “honor killing” as we have seen with barbaric Muslims in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Egypt – and even non-Muslims in India.
As for the foreclosure, if one doesn’t have money, their house will eventually be foreclosed even if they are in real estate.
And controlling women is not just a Muslim thing. Remember, Christianity historically has been about subduing women and “putting them in their place” but fortunately we had something called the Dark Ages, Enlightenment and Reformation periods in which Christianity was forced to take a backseat and western civilization was able to flourish. And now today it is Islam that is in the Dark Ages in which women are subdued, oppressed, and terrorized.
And according to his age in the news reports (late 50’s I believe) and if he grew up in Iran under a family that wasn’t so open minded back in the day, it could very well have played a cultural element in regards to his upbringing although there is no indication that this element of his male-chauvinism was the only or even main element of the killings. We have no clue what the motive was and the financial burdens could and most likely did play a much more major role in what happened (although I frankly have no clue).
Bottom line: he wasn’t a Muslim and this wasn’t an honor killing. Don’t forget, we are Iranian. If anyone of you have come in contact with Iranians (and there are a lot in states like California, Florida, Texas, New York) you would realize that Iranians are not practicing Muslims and a sizable portion do not self-identify as Muslims and actually find it offensive and appalling.
And again, Iranians are not Arabs. Iranians in general are not religious. Yes, Iranians inside of Iran cannot go and say they are atheist or have left Islam since they will be deemed apostates and will be executed. And Islamic Arabs who are actually religious fear their own families. But we Iranians when not under government control profoundly express the fact that we do not follow Islam. In fact, even in private as I was in Iran last year – people are not afraid to say they are not Muslim. Based on my significant periods of time I spent in Iran, I would say that there are more atheists in Iran than in the U.S. due to the fact that religion has been shoved down the throat of society under the most brutal of manners the last 30+ years. So “Isabella”, while you are correct: we cannot inside of Iran denounce Islam, that is not the fact with Iranians inside of the U.S. and inside of our families, Islam plays very little if no role at all. REMEMBER: our culture is pre-Islamic. Our holidays and traditions are all pre-Islamic. WE value our pre-Islamic culture first and foremost.

So, Isabellathecrusader, you also don’t believe then that Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish, Rifqa Barry and Ayaan Hirshi Ali aren’t sincere? Because a muslim cannot leave his faith and it will always be a part of him or her? Or they get some freecard because they are useful to this movement?
Iranian ex-muslims have been killed in their fight for freedom and against the totalitarian ideology that is Islam. They burned the Quran, took of their compulsory veil and shouted Makbar Khamenei in the streets at risk of being shot, beaten, arrested and later raped, tortured and hanged. These ex-muslims are on the frontline of the fight with Islam. They sacrificed everything in order to restore Iran to it’s true state, which is non-muslim, tolerant and secular. Iranians were taking on Islam LONG before the west eventually picked up. They created partisanbands to combat the Arabs which came to convert the Persians. They wrote poetry that was blasphemous against Islam.
In the Netherlands (Afshin Ellian) and Britain (Maryam Namazie) are leaders in the oppositionmovement to Islamization. They are both Iranian ex-muslims. They combat Islam upon their belief that it is evil and dangerous. Where would this movement be without them and many other ex-muslims? They make the movement and are it’s backbone.

Hey Theodora, I’m in agreement with you. That a Muslim can’t leave Islam without risk of being shot, beaten, arrested and later raped, tortured and hanged is Mohammad’s prescription, not mine. I’m merely pointing out that Aziz Yazdanpanah may have come to America, gone atheist, loved his family and been a super nice guy but in the end he reverted back to classic Muslim male behavior when he didn’t get his way. As a bonus he got to kill his “estranged” wife which fits in nicely with the Muslim-males-have-control-over-all-the-females-in-their-families routine and for which they receive, what, a six month sentence for cold blooded murder in places like Jordan because men there understand the whole need to maintain the honor thing. (Wink, wink>)
As for Wafa Sultan, Nonie Darwish, Rifqa Barry and Ayaan Hirshi Ali, all of these women have been threatened with death by Muslims for leaving Islam, which proves my point. Hotel California.

Nice try Sassan but the Muslim/Christianity comparison is just as inaccurate as it is boring. We’ve heard it a million times. ‘Sorry, no cigar for you.
I’ve been a Christian, in fact a Traditional Catholic for more than fifty years and I’m hardly put upon or oppressed and most certainly not threatened with death. In a dispute my brothers are on my side and would happily rearrange some guy’s face if he tried to harm me, although they are keenly aware I can take care of myself. And you don’t even want to know what my late, saintly dad would have done (may he rest in peace) if some moron had tried what Muslim Santa did. Santa guts, everywhere.
While there are the occasional humans who were brought up Christian who go on a rampage, you and I both know they are the exception, not the rule, and they don’t brag about their Catholic or Lutheran or Methodist faith to sanction what they’ve done. In court case after court case where Muslims have murdered their daughters even here in America, part of their delusional defense is that they are allowed to do this because they are Muslim.
Puleeze, get a clue. You’re not dealing with Rachel Maddow or Cooper Anderson droolers here. We know all about Islam.

@Isabella: Where did I compare Christianity and Islam to be on an equal footing? I agree with you that Islamic ideology is abhorrent and evil. In contrast to the teachings of the murderous villain and pedophile Muhammad, I have respect for the teachings of Jesus (whether or not he was a real person or not) and the message of love and forgiveness. Particularly, “You have heard that it was said, ‘Love your neighbor[a] and hate your enemy.’ But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you”.
And I speak as an atheist. I believe that if all the Muslims of the world tomorrow converted to Christianity, the world would be a much more peaceful and tolerant place. Saying this, we must not ignore history and the fact that male chauvinism was a very real part and even today is felt in Orthodox Christian circles. Fortunately, most Christians are secular and don’t take their religion LITERALLY like the way too many Muslims do (of non-Iranian origin).

Dear Editor:
Per the media policy of refusing to report the actions of Muslims – even crimes – in a negative light, “honor killings” done under Islamic principles are not being reported for what they are. For instance, the “Santa killer” in Texas was reported in the mainstream media as simply having allegedly killed his family with no clear motivation and only after gushing praise for him, the Muslim father. Under Sharia law, which enforces Islamic principles, a father may kill his children for rebelling against Islam without incurring prosecution. (Sharia Law o2.4 (‘Umdat al-Salik o1.1-2.) “Reliance of the Traveller”).
President Obama is trying to give the Muslim Brotherhood’s global jihad a large loop hole in which to enforce Sharia law in the U.S. by preventing the criminal intent, as defined by U.S. law, of First Degree Murder (e.g., killing one’s child to save face/preserve Muslim honor under Sharia law) from being recognized, the evidence collected, and being used in prosecution of such crimes. He is doing this by banning/censoring even the words describing such intent from the U.S. Government and its agencies’ vocabularies. Such action is in itself enforcement of Sharia law which prohibits any critical analysis or criticism of Islam or Mohammad or Muslims enforcing Sharia law. For example:
Haddith: Sunan Abu-Dawud, Book 38, Number 4349: Narrated Ali ibn AbuTalib: “A Jewess used to abuse the Prophet (peace be upon him) and disparage him. A man strangled her till she died. The Apostle of Allah (peace be upon him) declared that no recompense was payable for her blood.”
Qur’an 33:36: “It is not fitting for a Believer, man or woman, when a matter has been decided by Allah and His Apostle, to have any option about their decision: If anyone disobeys Allah and His Apostle, he is indeed on a clearly wrong Path.” )
Your whitewash policy is in collusion with this seditious enforcement of Sharia law.
Muslims in the U.S. do have every right under the U.S. Constitution and Bill of Rights to believe whatever they want, but they do NOT have the legal right to enforce Sharia law on anyone. Let the crimes, as defined by U.S. law, that jihadists commit be prosecuted as crimes and reported as crimes. Let Muslims have equal protection under the – U.S. – law (not special protection) and let them be prosecuted for their crimes and let their crimes be accurately reported. Further, as we have “gang crimes” with stiffer penalties because of the extreme disregard for human life and property, we should also have “jihad crimes” which recognize the criminal intent of committing honor killings to save face under Islam and therefore given tougher punishment and also because they are seditious in attempting to enforce Sharia law over Constitutional law.
The question to you and your media outlet is: Which do you submit to and seek protection from, Sharia law or Constitutional law? The answer to this question is illustrated in your news stories and is important to your audience.

The Islamazation of America. And we’re sitting by and letting it happen right before our eyes. Funny how all the major stations, Radio and TV, never made a peep about the isalamic ties to these murders. Sickening, absolutely sickening. One positive aspect: At least the squirrely idget muslim who killed everyone took his own hiney to his 72 virgins waiting for him in lala land. If a Christian man or woman had pulled this off, it would be plastered all over the airwaves! But, Nooooo, we gotta protect the alla-believing rodents at all costs..Must be in lala land, becuase it sure isn’t Heaven he’s talking about!

If this was an “honor killing,” and this guy and his family were Muslim, why were they opening gifts on Christmas day?

There are enough radical Muslims in the US now to kill many Americans. For several years I have suspected that some day these radical Muslims will unite, set a specific date and time and will load up with every weapon they have and start killing Americans. I just hope I am in my home if this happens.
This story of of Grapevine is just a sad story. 7 killed. 6 may have tried to live the Western Culture but it takes only one to remove them from society, forever.

Sassan, you can stop already. No one is dumb enough to listen to you. Iranians not religious? Not practicing Muslims? Then why is there a young lady on Iranian DEATH ROW RIGHT NOW for adultery? They were going to stone her, but decided to show some Islamic mercy and will now instead just hang her. Shove off, libtard.

Clewis, The people who were MURDERED were opening Christmas presents. The father that murdered them was still a practicing Muslim. That would be his motive for these murders. Pay attention.

@Sassan “Fortunately, most Christians are secular”
LOL what? Dude, just shut up. I’ll quote Abraham Lincoln for you now
“It is better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and remove all doubt.” You’ve been removing all doubt all day here.

Lonefeather, you are an complete and utter ignoramus. There is plenty of clarity on the fact that the Islamic regime of Iran is opposed by a huge majority of people living IN Iran. They oppose it facing death, torture and rape. They burned qurans, pictures of Ayatollahs in the street and shouted in favor of Israel and the US. If you lived there I would like to see how much of a loudmouth you would be. People are dying there every single day in the fight against Islam and totalitarianism. There is a gigantic difference between the Iranian people and the regime, which BTW is dictatorial and wasn’t voted for. It was created in a violent coup against the anti-Islamic Shah of Iran, by YOUR Jimmy Carter and the brits and the rest of the west. The Pahlavi dynasty, which was and still is enormously popular among Iranians, fought Islam and it’s teachings. Reza Shah banned the hijab and killed plenty of mullahs and other Islamic clerics. Mohammed Reza Shah brought equal rights for women and was vilified because of this by Khomenei and other intolerant twats. People have been hanged purely for sending emails to monarchist parties. They have died for speaking the truth about the religion of hate. While all of your governments, including the Reagan administration, have done NOTHING but help this sick and evil regime to continue massacring it’s brave people. Shame on you for lying about Iran. You know nothing about it’s inhabitants and don’t even try to educate yourself about it’s present time and history.
Besides that the family had been celebrating Christmas, even with decorating their house, for YEARS whilst the father was still living there. If he, as you say, was truly a practising muslim he would have never allowed such a thing in his house.

Sassan Darian, what are you doing? Don’t you see that these people are almost the same as Osama Bin Laden. Blind, radical, dumb and promoting violence (“one less muslim..”) Iranian people were never muslim naturally. They were forced to convert by the use of excessive violence. Iranian people are the only people in this world that their calender, their new year, all their celebrations, are non-religious (they are related to science and astronomy). This has been going on for tens of thousands of years. If you doubt just google.
We don’t miss Islam if we become an atheist or non-muslim because we have our cultural heritage that is not religious. We are proud of this and always practising it. But you Jewish and Christian have nothing left if you become an atheist. That’s why you cannot understand that Iranian non-muslims exist.
I wish all you Abrahamic religions gathered together on a ship and sail to the middle of the sea and fight it out there. And don’t annoy other human beings. We, atheists/agnostics/hindus/buddhists/hare krishnas/pagans/scientologists/even witches which I know you christians love to kill/zarathusians, can live together just fine with tolerance and peace. As many of us lived like that before the coming of your Abrahamic religions. If you accept the historic facts ofcourse that there is life before 3.000 years ago.
