Child Abuse: Hamas-Linked CAIR Poisoning Minds of High School Students

Hamas-linked groups are talking to high school students? Co-conspirators in the largest terror funding trial in our nation's history? Is that what our public schools are doing with our children — subjecting them to indoctrination and propaganda? That is child abuse. Where are the counter voices? Where are the voices of freedom?

CAIR (Council on American-Islamic Relations): Muslim Brotherhood, Hamas-linked organization spreading disinformation about Islam and terror, opposing anti-terror activity, and defaming freedom fighters. CAIR was one of the many Islamic groups that was named an unindicted coconspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Hamas jihad funding trial. They are in the top five AFDI Threats to Freedom Index.

You'll notice that in this CAIR report the schools are not named, because Hamas-linked CAIR knows what they are doing is subversion and the schools would be held accountable.

If any Atlas readers know in what schools CAIR was spreading its poison, please forward so that AFDI/SIOA can take immediate action. If CAIR or any Muslim Brotherhood group comes to your child's school to speak, demand equal time for a freedom lover or scholar on Islam like Ibn Warraq, Robert Spencer, etc. Lies must be fought with truth.

Our children have become pawns in the information war. Here is the CAIR News alert:

CAIR-Tampa Speaks to 500 High School Students About Islam

by CAIR on Friday, December 2, 2011 at 12:26pm

(TAMPA, FL, 12/2/11) — The Council on American-Islamic Relations of Florida, Tampa chapter (CAIR-Tampa), gave seven presentations on Islam this week to over a dozen different AP world history and world religions public high school classes in the Tampa area. The presentations covered topic such as basic Muslim beliefs, Islamic history, Islam and human rights, religious tolerance and diversity, and popular misconceptions about Islam.

"Conflict is ultimately the result of hatred resulting from misunderstanding. By learning about each other we can come to appreciate and respect each other. The beauty of American diversity is that we may disagree on issues of politics or faith, yet such differences need not prohibit us from working together for a better society," said CAIR Tampa Executive Director Hassan Shibly.

Shibly also emphasized that the fear-mongering against American Muslims today orchestrated by Islamophobes is no different than the discrimination many other religious, ethnic and racial groups faced as they integrated into the fabric of American Society. "We must value the freedoms, rights and respect for diversity, that distinguishes our nation and never take such freedoms for granted. When one group of Americans lose their rights, we all do."

CAIR Tampa also lectured this week at one of the world's top Arts College's on Islamophobia and challenges facing American Muslims in addition to lecturing at an Adult Education University on Islamic beliefs and history.

According to IPT: Hassan Shibly has a track record of defending terrorist groups and acting as an apologist for militant Islam. Following the 2006 Israel-Lebanon War, Shibly granted legitimacy to Hizballah by characterizing it as a "resistance movement" that provides valued social services to the Lebanese people. "They're absolutely not a terrorist organization," Shibly said, and "any war against them is illegitimate" moe on that here.

That is what is lecturing our children?

CAIR has a long record of duplicity and deception. Although it has received millions of dollars in donations from foreign Islamic entities, it has not registered as a foreign agent as required by the Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA), despite spreading Islamic supremacist propaganda within the United States.
Although it presents itself as a civil rights group, CAIR actually has numerous links to Islamic supremacist and jihad terror groups. CAIR founders Omar Ahmad and Niwad Awad (who still serves as CAIR's executive director) were present at a Hamas planning meeting in Philadelphia in 1993 where they and other Hamas operatives conspired to raise funds for Hamas and to promote jihad in the Middle East. CAIR has steadfastly refused to denounce Hamas and Hizballah as terrorist groups.
Several former CAIR officials have been convicted of various crimes related to jihad terror:

* Ghassan Elashi, founder of CAIR's Texas chapter, in 2009 received a 65-year prison sentence for funneling over $12 million from the Islamic charity known as the Holy Land Foundation to the jihad terrorist group Hamas, which is responsible for murdering hundreds of Israeli civilians
* Mousa Abu Marzook, a former CAIR official, was designated by the U.S. government in 1995 as a "terrorist and Hamas leader." He now is a Hamas leader in Syria.
* Randall Royer, CAIR's former civil rights coordinator, in 2004 began serving a 20-year prison sentence for aiding al-Qaida and the Taliban against American troops in Afghanistan and recruiting for Lashkar e-Taiba, the jihadist group responsible for the 2008 Mumbai jihad massacres.
* Bassem Khafagi, CAIR's former community relations director, was arrested for involvement with the Islamic Assembly of North America, which was linked to al-Qaida. After pleading guilty to visa and bank fraud charges, Khafagi was deported.
* Rabih Haddad, a former CAIR fundraiser, was deported for his work with the Global Relief Foundation (which he co-founded), a terror-financing organization.
In 1998 Omar Ahmad, CAIR's co-founder and longtime Board Chairman, said: "Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth."
After he received unwelcome publicity as a result of this statement, Ahmad denied saying it, several years after the fact. However, the original reporter, Lisa Gardiner of the Fremont Argus, stands by her story.
CAIR's spokesman Ibrahim Hooper once said: "I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future."
