This blog is a great tool to use when dealing with the media when they write stories about CAIR and jihadists.
Wouldn’t it be nice if some so-called main stream newspaper would do an expose on Soros? I think if the shoe were on the other foot it would have happened a long time ago. Maybe that’s the question people should start asking their local media outlets and newspapers. They wasted no time reciting the left’s narrative when it came to the Koch brothers.

The same kind of thing occurred during the Cold War re the Soviet Union. What Lenin called “useful idiots” would accept and write the most preposterous propaganda re the Soviet Union, gush re its full employment economy, free health care, even the rights to express free political speech (ideas and opinions) without fear. The real question here is why so many bourgeois “progressives” are so attracted to totalitarian systems. I think, at the core, the issue with Soros and others like him is a psychiatric issue. There is no other explanation for an educated person being a “useful idiot”-for checking their brains at the door re Islam’s real dogmas.

Soros and other “progressives” like him are attracted (for some reason that only a team of psychiatrists might be able to explain) to totalitarian systems. Many of this type are even on Wall Street and supported Obama in 2008.
I think if we save free political speech in America we will owe a lot to Jewish Americans who are sounding the alarm re Islam and Sharia. It’s a little difficult for the “progressives” to paint them as Nazis (although some try to do that). The mainstream political Right in America (unlike in Europe and elsewhere) is at core anti-authoritarian, has a strong suspicion of central government and is essentially individualistic, about individual rights. The Left in America are very similar to the Left and Right in Europe and elsewhere. They are at core totalitarians.

As if the recent comments of North Carolina governor Bev Perdue suggesting elections be suspended for two years doesn’t hammer home the point about the Democrats’ love of totalitarianism.

You bet. Even as a fantasy, the NC gov’s thoughts should be treated seriously. Many of these folks do have a “love of totalitarianism.” I think it’s a psychiatric issue and is not really about politics. Their politics is a symptom of some need to control other people and they use some political or “religious” rationalization system to facilitate that.

The OIC proxy UN is apparently intent on working its way through the Bill of Rights, amendment by amendment, quashing the parts that they find inconvenient.
Having attacked 1st Amendment rights with their adoption of a shariah definition of blasphemy, they want to interfere in US gun laws. George has been involved in attacks on 1st amendment rights, and in BCRA limitations on what the NRA can broadcast in the run-up to elections, so I wouldn’t be surprised if he were involved in this new initiative.

Ah yes, Monarch. They get some cold temps up there! But the skiing is fantastic and the powder is wonderful! And true about the runs relative to skiing in S CA…I’m assuming you ski Mammoth or Big Bear? I do like skiing at both places, but it’s definitely different than our Colorado skiing.

Monarch is probably the best skiing I’ve ever had, Mt. Baldy is probably the 2nd best.
I’ve skied all over Southern California, I used to like Mt. Baldy a lot. I remember hiking up there one summer and seeing SNOW! In June! I was sweating buckets while hiking at the bottom of Mt. Baldy and shivering as we approached the summit.
I’ve never been to Mammoth though.
Cate do they still do that New Year’s Eve fireworks display on Pike’s Peak? I remember my buddy told me people had to hike up there, in the snow, to some sort of resort to fire off the fireworks on New Year’s Eve. Have a great week Cate!

I think you are correct in it being a psychiatric issue. All too many are “Sheeple”, who have to be told what to do or what to think. I feel that most have no cognitive ability to think for themselves, nor to reason for themselves,,, They seem to be totally unable to separate black from white, or white from grey,,,
They are afraid to make a decision of consequence, period~! “Tell me what to think~!” “Tell me what is right, what is wrong, what is ethical, and what is unethical~!”
