Coptic Church Condemns Attack, Muslims Pelt Funeral Procession With Bricks by Mary Abdelmassih

AINA) — The Coptic Orthodox Church in Egypt issued a statement on October 10, expressing horror at the events of yesterday in Maspero, where 24 Copts were killed and over 200 and wounded. The church stressed that the Christian faith rejects violence. The church blasted the government for failing to find solutions to "problems that occur repeatedly and go unpunished." The Church demanded from all Copts to fast continuously for three days starting tomorrow "in order to have peace in Egypt."
Some interpreted this demand, which the church has made only three times in its long history, as a way to implore "God's help for the Copts," commented Coptic activist and writer Nader Shoukry.
Dr. Maged Lewis, a director at the Forensic Medicine Institute, commented that he had never seen corpses in this deplorable state before.
In Cairo, thousands of Copts marched to attend the funeral of the victims of what they termed the "October 9 Military Massacre." They congregated in front of the Coptic hospital where most of the dead and injured were transported, and which was attacked the night before by Muslims, who hurled bricks and Molotov Cocktails at the victims' families.
A funeral service presided by Pope Shenouda III was held for the Copts killed in Maspero, at 11 AM at St. Mark's Cathedral in Abbasiya, Cairo, and was attended by over 10,000 Copts. The funeral was for five Copts only, as the rest of the victims are awaiting for autopsies, on the advice of Coptic lawyers. "This is to safeguard the rights of the dead," said attorney Dr. Ehab Ramzy, "otherwise the families could lose their case. We need proof."
After the funeral, while still inside the Cathedral, the enraged Copts chanted "down with the junta rule and down with Tantawi."
According to priests and Coptic lawyers who were present at the Coptic Hospital, where the victims were brought, the death certificates issued by the authorities were misleading and did not reflect the true cause of death, which might let the assailants get away with the crime. Certificates showed the cause of death as being "stab wounds" and "cardiac arrest caused by fear."
The families insisted on having the autopsies done, which were carried out on 17 bodies lying in the Coptic hospital. Independent doctors observed those who came from the Public Morgue to carry out the autopsies.

Oh what a disgrace if such a despised and base race, which worships a misogynist pedophile demon, should be allowed to murder a people which has the faith of omnipotent God and is made glorious with the name of Christ! With what reproaches will the Lord overwhelm us if we do not aid those who profess the Christian religion at the risk of their very lives! Let those who have been accustomed unjustly to wage private warfare against the faithful now go against the Mohammedans and end with total victory this war which should have been begun long ago.

Mohammedan morals consist in prostrate like bowing 5 times a day in the general direction of some black stone in Mecca that is suppose to have fallen down from their moon-god, Allah, and attending mosque regularly at the appointed weekly time, and in breaking the ten commandments all the balance of the week. It comes natural to them to lie and cheat and kill and enslave in the first place, and then they go on and improve on that nature until they arrive at perfection. I never did dislike anyone as much as those Muslims and especially the Arabs, and, when Israel is pushed to war with them again, I hope America and England and France will not find it good breeding nor good judgment to interfere.

Agreed. If the Copts want to stop being victims, then they need to stop acting like victims. They need to arm and train, and then meet every muslim provocation with overwhelming, deadly force. A few, well-tossed fragmentation grenades or automatic weapons can do wonders at dispersing a brick-throwing crowd. Their government cannot and will not protect them. They must, therefore, protect themselves by establishing an armed resistance and then conquering and holding defensible sections of Egypt, and maybe, someday, the entire country. They either man up, or they will cease to exist. If they are willing to fight, then I am willing to support them. If they are not willing to fight, then I will not waste time trying to convince the muzzies that their behavior is unacceptable.

You don’t realize that humility & grace are powerful weapons against the evil one; they are strength under pressure. The God of the universe rewards those who have asked Jesus into their hearts; He gives them the power of the Holy Spirit to see like Stephen and speak like Peter. But it seems utter nonsense to those who remain dead spiritually. To the families left behind, it is horrendous, but to those who profess faith in Jesus Christ – death is gain! Ultimately, God wins.

Where are the voices of all these progressive groups organizing flotillas for the so-called Palestinians?
Where are the great leftest heroes like Chomsky and Finklestein? Their silence is quite deafening?
And most important, Why would the Christian world not be up in arms over this atrocity??
It is ironic that a group like the Copts who traditionally have never exactly been know as Jew lovers in their history, and whose leaders still manage to make anti-Israel statements when the opportunity arises are finding that one of the few groups willing to speak out for them are the Jewish people.
Not sure what the answer is except that maybe they should think about organizing an armed resistance since it appears that Islam is determined to enact a final solution against these people.

It is time to partition Egypt to create a homeland for the Christians like in Sudan. After all Muslims have carved out 40% of Cyprus into a Muslim country. The Christians in NATO bombed the Christian nation of Yugoslavia and first carved out Bosnia(a Muslim nation) and later Kosovo, the heart and soul of Serbia,into a Muslim narco state. The Christian Copts of Egypt are more deserving of their own nation than the Muslims who are interlopers whilst the Copts are the first people of Egypt.

One of the reasons why Muslims hate Christians may be explained ,in part, it that the imams get their people all worked up against them in the mosques by telling them how terrible is Christianty and its doctrine are. The imams no doubt don’t care if their charges are well founded or not .They just make them. To this the Bible gives the answer about such false teachers as the imams in Second Peter 2:12. Which reads “they speak evil of things they do not understand and will utterly perish in their corruption.” [NKJV] Moreover, in this context the word “perish” does not mean loss of being, but loss of well being. As in going to ruin in a terrible place of suffering the Bible calls hell.

I spent the better part of May in Egypt, testing a power plant 100km south of Cairo on the east bank of the Nile. I stayed in a hotel in south Cairo just a half-mile from the large Coptic Patriarchy and Monastery on the East bank. I walked by the facility during services several time. The cars along the streets all had Rosary beads hanging from their rear-view mirrors, with prominent crucifixes. At the entrance to the Patriarchy a crowd of very large men was providing impromptu security. These Copts have taken all they are going to take; they are not hiding or efacing themselves. The Army was very much in evidence; a large military facility across the street had manned watchtowers all along the side facing the monastery. Every major intersection sported an armored car with a machine gun. It looks like the Army is no longer interested in keeping the lid on the kettle.
You don’t have to worry about doing anything to Egypt; it is in the process of destroying itself.

Thank you for saying this! My husband left me for another woman who was in my house & converted to the muslim religion. I refuse to use a capital “m” for them. But he has been lead to believe that the “true muslim religion” is peace. Yeah right! He wanted me to convert & I said “When H*** freezes over!”

Egyptistan is an islamofascist state. I don’t believe non-muslimes are allowed to serve in any capacity in the government, law enforcement or military. Who is going to arm the Copts and train them? The US? Europe/Eurabia? The USSR? China? No one?

I guess I should mention the MILLIONS of people (including non-Jewish)who were murdered by Christians during the holocaust. Did I mention the Christian clergy members who were murdered as well.

I am sure that there are individual Coptics who do not reflect the views of their religious leadership just as there have been individual Christians in the west who have not reflected the views of their churches either.
I have simply pointed out what has happened in the past.
This does not justify however, the slaughter that is taking place today.
It also does not explain why the Christian church in the west has been silent on the fate of their fellow Christians in the middle east.

That’s a good question. I know someone who was expelled from his Methodist church for challenging the Al Taqiyya lies a muslime, who was invited in the interests of “outreach” to his church, was telling to his congregation. I quit my job at a Catholic college because I couldn’t stand the lies their muslime religious coordinator spouted at the annual convocation. Maybe it could be said that Yeshua, like Gandhi, preached an amoral pacifism, as in “judge not lest ye be judged” and “turn the other cheek” and so the evil that is Pisslam is allowed to spread like a cancer.

Egypt’s Coptic Christians have no choice but to tow the islamofascist line in Egyptistan. They are the persecuted minority in Egypt.
A Lebanese Christian I once knew stated that if you came out publicly in support of Israel in Lebanon, your life wouldn’t be worth a plugged nickel and it wouldn’t be the Christians you had to fear.
How often have you heard or read about Iranistan’s Jewish population come out in support of Israel? Why do you think they don’t?
