It transcends borders, nationalities, continents …… the ideology trumps all. Which is why I find it so amusing when news reports identify the country (Moroccan man, Pakistani, Algerian, blah, blah) because their nationality is as relevant as the color of their shoes.
Jihad is jihad is jihad, but any other description is still jihad.
‘Jihad Jane’ Conspirators Indicted in Philadelphia for Aiding Terror Plot Bloomberg
Story continues below advertisementTwo people were indicted in Philadelphia on charges they supported terrorists in the “Jihad Jane” terror plot.
Ali Charaf Damache, 46, an Algerian man who resided in Ireland, and Mohammad Hassan Khalid, 18, a Pakistani citizen residing in Maryland, with one count of conspiring to provide material support to terrorists. Damache was also charged with one count of attempted identity theft to facilitate an act of international terrorism, Philadelphia U.S. Attorney Zane Memeger said today in a statement.
“Today’s indictment, which alleges a terrorist conspiracy involving individuals around the globe who connected via the Internet — including a teenager and two women living in America — underscores the evolving nature of violent extremism,” Lisa Monaco, assistant U.S. attorney general for national security, said in the statement.
Damache, also known as “theblackflag” and Khalid allegedly helped Colleen LaRose, also known as Jihad Jane, provide logistical and financial support and recruitment services in a plot to kill overseas.
Jihad Jane was American.

Yes, the dangers of the Islamic terrorism may come from any Muslim of any race as long as he or she is brainwashed into the joining the forces of militant jihadism. so American’s need to be aware and on the outlook for any thing that doesn’t seem right. As in “What’s wrong with this picture?” As they say in the Office of Homeland Security “If you see something, say something.” Nevertheless, we need not live in fear or be afraid to go places or do things because of any jihadist threats. We just need to keep aware of things around us. Just to be sure that things are all right.
It’s as Thomas Jefferson wrote “Let the eye of vigilance never be closed.”

I’m puzzled by the Bloomberg reporting.
Prosecutors intend to seek Damache’s extradition from Ireland where he was arrested in March last year on unrelated charges.
Are any two crimes motivated by Islam “unrelated”?
The arrest in Ireland of Ali Charaf Damache was on a charge of making a telephoned death threat. He was accused of making the death threat to an American in Detroit who had publicly claimed that most Muslims didn’t support terrorism such as the attempted Christmas Day bombing of 2009. Read that twice.
