The good news is that the bill passed. This cleric is a mental case. The whole clit-snipping phenomena is a psychiatric matter. The need of this man to control others demonstrates incredible insecurity. He belongs in a mental hospital, and with the right meds he might pass for normal.

Where are the assholes in our MSM on this? Where is the outrage from BS O’Reilly? John Stuart? Rachel Maddow? Hannity?

Female genital cutting (FGC) isn’t Islamic. It’s been around for longer than both Islam and Christianity. Some communities use religion to justify the cruel practice, but movements to educate people and abandon FGC also exist. It doesn’t take much googling to find them and read about their work.
I’m with you in deploring FGC, but perhaps posts on the topic could acknowledge the groups and individuals – Muslims and non-Muslims – who are working to eliminate it. That’d be more balanced.
Regarding the mullah in this post, does anyone know what Islamic sources he draws on to justify his claims?
