“Justice for Fatima” Protest June 10th, Tampa, Florida
Stand Against Honor Killing Cover-Up

TAMPA, Fla., May 31, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ — A prominent national human rights and advocacy organization is calling upon Tampa city and Florida state officials to conduct an honest and thorough investigation into the suspicious death of Fatima Abdallah.

The Florida chapter of the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI)/Stop Islamization of America (SIOA) is holding a Rally for Justice for Fatima Abdallah at 2 p.m. on June 10 at Lykes Gaslight Park in front of Tampa Police Headquarters. The Rally will include a news conference.

Speakers will call upon State Attorney Mark Ober, Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn and Tampa City Council Members to recognize the numerous anomalies in the Tampa Police Department report that ruled Fatima Abdallah's death a suicide, and to open a genuine investigation into the possibility that she was murdered in an Islamic honor killing.

Story continues below advertisement

The Tampa Police report claims that Abdallah committed suicide by repeatedly striking her head against a coffee table. AFDI/SIOA Executive Director Pamela Geller said in a statement: "The idea defies logic, belies reality." She announced that the Rally for Justice for Fatima Abdallah would feature a great deal of evidence that the Tampa Police investigation was drastically flawed, and that the Police Department and Medical Examiner ignored numerous indications that Fatima Abdallah did not commit suicide, but was brutally assaulted. Then when challenged, their explanation only exposed more inconsistencies and raised more questions.

Geller also pointed out that Fatima Abdallah was "a Muslim woman shunned by her devout Muslim family for her 'shameful' divorce" – and hence a possible victim of Islamic honor killing, in which a woman who has brought "shame" to the family is murdered in order to preserve family "purity." Neighbors reported that Fatima Abdallah was abused by her family, but that they had been too frightened themselves of the abusers to report it.

"We cannot and will not tolerate the covering up of honor killings in the U.S.," Geller said. "Our law enforcement authorities should be standing up against this practice. The cover-up is criminal, and we must protest the silence and complicity of Florida law enforcement. This looking the other way on honor killing is Sharia law — if this family weren't Muslim, law enforcement would have handled this completely differently."

Geller also noted that "at the exact same time of Fatima Abdallah's alleged honor killing, Rifqa Bary was not 85 miles away, fighting for her very life under the same deathly system of misogyny and Islamic domination that Fatima had lived under. Rifqa Bary had escaped to Florida after her father had threatened to kill her when he found out that she had left Islam and converted to Christianity. Ohio and Florida law enforcement refused to address the religious motivation behind the death threat made to Rifqa's life. A brutal honor killing of a Muslim woman not 85 miles away would certainly have swayed the court of public opinion. This is the continuation of self-enforcing Sharia law in America."

The confirmed list of speakers at the Rally for Justice for Fatima Abdallah includes Geller, the popular blogger and columnist who publishes the acclaimed AtlasShrugs.com blog and is the author of The Post-American Presidency: The Obama Administration's War on America (Simon & Schuster); AFDI/SIOA's Associate Director, the bestselling author and internationally renowned Islamic expert Robert Spencer; Nonie Darwish, the ex-Muslim human rights activist and author; David Caton of the Florida Family Association, who conducted a thorough independent investigation exposing the numerous errors and falsehoods in the Tampa Police Department report, James Lafferty of the Virginia Anti-Shariah Task Force; and Larissa Scott, leader of SIOA's Florida chapter.

AFDI/SIOA is one of America's foremost organizations defending human rights, religious liberty, and the freedom of speech against Islamic supremacist intimidation and attempts to bring elements of Sharia to the United States.

“…Abdallah committed suicide by repeatedly striking her head against a coffee table?”
How stupid they think we are?
Typical case of Islamic dishonor murder (“honor” killing) on May 30, 2011:

Did you read those comments from that guy implying that honor killings are a myth, especially with Eastern European Muslims?

The coroner allowed a murder to pass. Because she felt that protecting Muslim killers was more important than justice.

Apologies for completely O/T but this story is so potentially sinister it needs wider publicity.
“A French former minister went to Morocco for an orgy with “little boys”, according to an ex-minister, who claims the country’s strict privacy laws led to a cover-up.” http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/europe/france/8549870/French-ex-cabinet-minister-travelled-to-Morocco-for-orgy-with-little-boys.html
The worrying part of this story is that it is undoubtedly the tip of the iceberg of Islamic subversion of the European political class.
It is likely that many European politicians are being blackmailed by Islamists on account of their pedophilic activities, which have been provided by those same Islamists and their paymasters.
Sex with boys is commonplace in Islamic countries (it isn’t counted as homosexuality if the boys are beardless, google ‘bacha bazi’), and those European leaders who are so inclined will be able to enjoy it as much as they want, provided they promote the spread of Islam in their countries.
Islam breeds corruption, and corruption breeds Islam.
P.S. Be on the alert for this in America. Politicians and other opinion formers acting in an unusually pro-Islamic way may have been subverted by offers of petrodollar-funded bacha bazi orgies.

Fatima is INNOCENT!
The scum who murdered her are doomed, and rightly so.
God bless and protect this woman; in a just world, she would live! She would live! She would live!

I am a Muslim from Arabia and,,
Honor killing is non-honor and a crime. It is a deep rooted cultural practice in the middle east, just like blood-feuds in many other cultures. A cultural practice is not necessarily a religious one, this is specially true when it comes to Islam with “honor-killings”, historically, since the inception of the faith some 1400 years ago, this practice has never been endorsed by the religious institution. Has Islamic sharia ever endorsed people taking vengeance in widely-spread blood-feuds? no. has it ever gave permission to a father to murder his daughter? no, in fact, a proper legal system should persecute these people as per the lately introduced reforms in the Palestinian and Jordanian legal systems ( 3 months ago).
Calling it Islamic is definitely ill-intended, at a time when we need mutual understanding this web-site carries on with it’s hate-spreading agenda and gets paid for it.

Equivocation is not argument, and it is not valid in any Western forum.
Islam is a culture.
It controls culture.
It controls you.

Thanks for the quick lesson on Western logic,
Local culture(s) are not necessarily Islamic religion. Local culture by merit of centuries of practice can be labeled Islamic culture. While local (Islamic) culture in Saudi Arabia sees it a violation for a woman to drive a car, the Islamic culture in the rest of the world doesnt see that way. Is it safe to say that Islam is against women driving a car? certainly not.
Calling every bit of bad practices by Muslims Islamic is definitely ill-intended. At a time when we need mutual understanding and respect this web-site carries on with it’s hate-spreading propaganda and gets paid for it.

Pamela, this would be a bit of a drive from my part of Florida, but I would be more than happy to be there “with bells on” if only I were not working. For me, no workee-no payee, and I cannot afford any time off. I am sorry that I cannot be there on that day and time, but I will surely be praying for you. Friday 2PM is just something I cannot do. I am willing to make the drive, but cannot miss the work. I am sorry! Keep up the great work!

I have a “lesson” for you…..but you are likely vastly more familiar with the topic than I am. You are expertly executing it right here;
The principle of Al-Takeyya.
You don’t fool me you devil! I see right through your facade. Most folks here see through it too.
Again…..the problem is ISLAM!!

What strikes me as typical is that you seems less concerned with honor killings themselves as with the link between these honor killings and islam. The fact is: honor killings do occur and most of them (I believe about 90 percent) are committed by muslims.
Well, if you see it as an islamic thing or not, the fact is that these practices must be stopped. Period. If this is indeed a tradition practiced locally (only in Saudi-Arabia as you say), how come many MOroccons, Turks and Iraqis also commit these acts? And…how come the concept of honor killings fit precisely with the Sharia (stoning of adulterers, killing of apostates, all the honor of the family lies on the shoulders of the women)?

Over 91% of honor killings worldwide are driven by Islamic law. And that’s a UN statistic so we know it is higher.
Seems to me if you remove well over 90% of the killings that would have a monumental impact. Instead we are covering up this hatred of women and gender apartheid out of respect for the ideology that inspires it???

I think the message which is communicated throughout Islamic cultures is that women are less worthy of legal protections and civil rights and are not equal to men. Refusing to acknowledge that there is genuine misogyny which stems from the example of the prophet of Islam really does not benefit Muslims.
The killing of Aya Baradiya which sparked such outrage that Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas scrapped laws very recently that guaranteed sentences of six months or less for such killings, is a step in the right direction. Muslims had to acknowledge the problem before they could fix it.
Muslim women living in the West who choose to live as full citizens in a modern society deserve to be protected by the laws of that society. We don’t much care whether it’s their religion or their culture which is the source of their oppression.

I have emailed Bondi, the Attorney General and protested the labeling of Fatima’s death as a suicide. I too thought she looked very overweight, but it was the massive facial swelling from her fractured jaws. What a travesty of justice!! The family murderers think they were smarter than the police and the medical examiner! The ME seems to have been incompetent in doing her job or she decided to look the other way and to take the easy way out! Those injuries looke to be from a beating. Labeling Fatima’s death as suicide is an unbelievable EPIC fail! Thank you Pamela for taking this case public. I hope they reopen the case and find the murdering scum who did this. This speak volumes about Islam and the Muslim-approved, dastardly treatment of ALL women who come under their rule of evil. Islam: one sick, perverted, misogynist cult of violent death. Piss be upon them!
