Sheepshead Bay Mosque Court Day

The Sheesphead Bay rabat finally has its court date. Will the racist, Jew-hating Lamis Deek, the extremist lawyer for the Sheepshead Bay Mega Mosque, be representing the illegal structure? Should be a disgusting but instructive show of supremaicism and deceit.

Dear Neighbors, Residents, and Bay People supporters,

Our long-awaited court day is finally here. We will have an initial hearing in our case in Kings County Supreme Court on May 5, 2011. We will forward you the exact time and other details for those neighbors that would like to attend the hearing. We will also file for a preliminary injunction or a complete halt to the construction until the administrative remedies at the Department of Buildings "DOB" are exhausted. Basically, we are asking for a stop to the construction until all the zoning challenges are settled with the DOB, so that construction cannot take place and cause irreparable harm to the neighborhing properties and the community at large, while it is being challenged.

Please do not forget that Bay People 3rd fundraiser is scheduled also for May 5th but in the evening, so it will be a full day of events.

i know of no other blogger, except your friend and colleague in westchester, pa., rich davis, who understands that it is at the local and neighborhood level where the rubber meets the road in these issues.
it is not by mutterings in high places that islam will be confronted, fought and defeated but precisely at the level of the streets in local communities, and in court actions such as this. this war will be fought by the people, who have been sadly abandoned by their “leaders.”
g_d bless you for taking the fight to sheepshead bay, you & spencer, and g_d bless you for making this fight both national, and public.
you, almost alone, lead this fight, and you also show the example to other bloggers how this fight should be waged. may those who follow this statement forgive me if i am wrong, but, sad to say, i do not see malkin or steyn or pipes or many others, lending their support to community activists such as those at sheepshead bay, nor do i see them leading demonstrations, nor do i see them in attendance at demonstrations and rallies put on by others in order to lend support to this cause.
i guess they feel it is “beneath” them. how sadly mistaken they are.
you understand, as others do not, that this fight, if it is to be waged successfully, will be waged on local streets and in local neighborhoods, and, very importantly, in local courts and before local zoning boards and boards of adjustment, and the like.
you understand. they do not.

p.s. you, & spencer, and richie davis in philadelphia/west chester, pa. it is a dismal lack of comprehension displayed by the “others,” e.g., other prominent bloggers, to this juncture. i am assuming that they are very smug in their ignorance, and reticence to soil their nails in the dirt of the battlefield.
