Bill Maher to Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Muslim Brotherhood): Qur'an is "hate-filled holy book"

Stephen Gash sent me this excellent riposte to Ellison over at Big Hollywood: Keith Ellison (Accidentally) Makes Case for Peter King’s Hearings into Radical Islam

Story continues below advertisement

A commenter on our TV branch nails it:

Call me crazy but didn’t Ellison lay out exactly why we are having these radicalized Islam [hearings by Rep. Peter] King right now? ‘To weed out those who misuse the words of the Koran for political reasons…?’ Ellison should be supporting King not crying like a baby to undermine what King is doing.

Wish I’d said that, and how nice to once again see Bill Maher stand up for Western Civilization and take the truthful, non-PC stand that radical Islam is in fact a unique and dangerous threat to our country and the world. Maher loathes all religions (and isn’t a fan of King’s hearings), but unlike most of his liberal counterparts who aren’t as upfront about their loathing of Christianity, Maher’s at least willing to admit that comparing Islamists to militias, the KKK and those who shoot abortion doctor makes little sense. Not all evils are equal, and certainly not equal threats. As far as I know, Maher is the ONLY guy in the entertainment world willing to speak this truth and he deserves credit for doing so.

Furthermore, all week long the liberal media — aided in no small part by their ally Jon Stewart, –have been rightly heaping scorn on Rep. Peter King’s support of the I.R.A., which was and is reprehensible. What’s also reprehensible, though, is using King’s past to discredit what he’s doing now. The media and Stewart’s intellectually dishonest PC crusade to use King’s past as a weapon to undermine the Congressman’s necessary and long overdue hearings is also deserving of scorn.  Supporting terrorists like the I.R.A. is wrong but do you want to know else is wrong? Sticking your head in the sand in the face of a real threat and while doing so, using political correctness to dishonestly puff yourself up with moral righteousness.

In the early part of the video above when Ellison is talking about how gosh-darned inclusive Islam is, my wife made an excellent point: “I wonder how many Jews and gays attend those meetings?”

Ellison quotes “there is no compulsion in religion.” Of course, that is in the Qu’ran. However, Ellison knows that the Qu’ran, though set-up longest to shortest sura, has the chronologically later suras (all violent-supremacist) canceling out the earlier so-called “peaceful” suras.
The Qu’ran cannot be understood unless the reader knows the chronological order of the suras. An understanding of Islam’s doctrine of abrogation (where chronologically later suras that contradict earlier suras have the later suras canceling the earlier suras) is crucial to understanding Islam.
(For example: wine is recommended in a chronologically earlier sura, but forbidden by Al in a later sura. The later sura is the last word of Al on the matter. It’s the same with the so-called “peaceful” suras peddled to Unbelievers. They are all abrogated, and Muslims know that, though people such as Ellison peddle the “peaceful” suras to the naive Unbelievers.)
Once again re abrogation: Ibn Warraq, page 115,Why I am Not a Muslim: “Now we see how useful and convenient the doctrine of abrogation is in bailing scholars out of difficulties. Of course, it does pose a problem for apologists of Islam, since all the passages preaching tolerance are found in the Meccan, i.e., early suras, and all the passages recommending killing, decapitating, and maiming are Median, i.e., later: “tolerance” has been abrogated by “intolerance.” For example, the famous verse at Sura 9.5, “Slay the idolaters wherever you find them,” is said to have canceled 124 verses that dictate tolerance and patience.”
and…
Ibn Warraq, page 11,Why I am Not a Muslim: The term “Islamic fundenentalist” is in itself inappropriate, for there is a vast difference between Christianity and Islam. Most Christians have moved away from the literal interpertation of the Bible; for most of them, “it ain’t necessaraly so.” Thus we can legitmately distinguish between fundamentalist and nonfundamentalist Christians. But Muslims have not moved away from the literal interpretaion of the Koran; all Muslims-not just a group we have called “fundamentalist”-believe that the Koran is literally the word of God.”

Yeah.
I’m wondering that too.
Smoke today, ashes tomorrow! That is what Islam will try to make of them.

People such as Ellison pile the bullshit so high (quoting the abrogated “peaceful” suras for Unbeliever consumption)that it’s necessary to sprout wings to rise above it. Those wings are sprouted with the Unbeliever’s understanding of the Doctrine of Abrogation.

Could it be that some Americans are finally reading up on the book that is causing so many members of the “Religion of Peace” to misunderstand the Quran and be radicalized? Maybe these comments we hear from Islamists that say Islam is growing, are basing it on Quran sales of people who are purchasing the book just to study it’s inherent evil and disturbed teachings?

Maybe Maher finally realized that even though he is an agnostic, socialist, liberal Jew, he is still a Jew and the koran commands muslims to kill Jews.

refuse to give Maher “atta’ boys” for hating all religions equally (unlike the rest of the hypocritical, Islam-lurvin lefturds) or virtual high-fives for being right this one time (almost right, that is, since the so-called “moderate Muslims” read from the same Quran as the so-called “Islamic extremists”). Still, I hope he got the attention of some of his libturded audience and that they reconsider their Muslim-luv.

Maybe so. Richard Dawkins has.
“There are no Christians, as far as I know, blowing up buildings. I am not aware of any Christian suicide bombers. I am not aware of any major Christian denomination that believes the penalty for apostasy is death. I have mixed feelings about the decline of Christianity, in so far as Christianity might be a bulwark against something worse.” – Richard Dawkins, author of The God Delusion

I’m noticing now the same liberals who defend Bill Maher for attacking Christianity are calling him “racist” for criticizing Islam even though ISLAM IS NOT A RACE!

you don’t need to be a Jew to read the writing on the wall. in fact, you don’t even need to have any invisible means of support. the koran commands believers to kill all unbelievers, not just Jews or even people of the book, but all unbelievers. they particularly hate Jews, but who, besides themselves, do they not hate? maher should have been able to come back to ellison’s comment about “killing one person yadda yadda”, with the issue of abrogation, and the idea that Jews and Christians are not considered to be anything more than pigs and apes, so killing them is not like killing a real person. that might have made ellison cry, however, so perhaps maher was simply avoiding a weepy scene. I’m surprised maher didn’t bring up ellison’s ties with CAIR, and Ferrukhan (spelling), but he would have needed another committee to investigate this piece of excrement, ellison, to do that.

Ellison claims he converted to Islam because he was “looking for social justice”. No, Mr. Ellison, you were looking for a religious expression of your hatred of “whitey”, and you found it.
College-age people are amongst the favorite targets for recruiting by cults because of their “impressionable” nature and “vulnerability”. Usually the target is not actively “looking” to join a cult, but is approached by recruiting members and manipulated. I suspect such was not entirely the case with Ellison. There is little difference between his “conversion” to Islam and a white racist joining the KKK or a neo-Nazi group.
And, as we Terry Pratchett fans like to put it, I bet that leopard hasn’t changed his shorts.

But it would have helped had Maher immediately pounced on Ellison’s trotting out of those “peaceful” quotes and specifically described the principle of abrogation, its statement (in the Krayon itself), and its effect on earlier verses. Instead he fell back on the yeah, well, most of the 1.4 billion believers we’re up against are “peaceful”, but then where is al Qaeda finding its inspiration? Viewers were left with the same old same old: Islam means “peace”, it’s just a few bad apples.
All in all a good defense by Maher, but at this point the public needs to hear the facts, clearly stated and with their implications specified, delivered as the “last word” of every exchange of this kind.
Otherwise some time in the not so distant future most Americans are going to find themselves watching the equivalent of the old “Why We Fight” information film from early WWII and wondering “why didn’t anyone ever tell us this before?”
We did. You didn’t want to listen.

This is total BS. If Bill Maher would read loud and clear surahs from quran that requires muslims to kill infidels there would be no space for this sleazeball to get into demagoguery and present his usual muslim taradiddle about “misinterpretations” of their suras. The problem is that all those liberals including Bill Maher (big time liberal) stop short from saying the truth. Political correctness shackles and their anti-American socialistic ideology don’t permit them to say what it should be said: islam is the ideology and cult of death, despotism and total exclusion of infidels, ideology of no tolerance to others. How about MASS MURDERING Christians in Egypt and other muslim countries? How about prohibition in use of Bible books in the muslim countries, how about punishment of Jews if they would practice Judaism in muslim countries? And this all while they insist on American tolerance to islam and building there f-g mosques even on the GROUND ZERO? Hope America will wake up one day and crush all this “peaceful” ideology.
I was surprised that this f-k did not weep this time.

Yep. What Maher said has been said before, it needs to keep being said. But you can’t rationally debate a liberal or change their mind with facts. That it was Maher that said these words may actually resound with some who otherwise would never get it.
Is it an “atta boy” to recognize the man may have a decent bone left in his body? Nah.

by the way, the verse he quoted about saving one person is like saving the world, is not attributed to Islam, Its is a verse from Chazal, Jewish religious people who coined the verse. what a liar, he can’t even quote the Koran right. Check it out:
Talmud, Sanhedrin 37a states
http://en.wikiquote.org/wiki/Talmud
“Whoever destroys a soul, it is considered as if he destroyed an entire world. And whoever saves a life, it is considered as if he saved an entire world”.
Such a sleazy liar.

That stuff about anyone who kills one kills the whole world means Muslims only. It does not apply to infidels. Ellison, from the Muslim Murder-hood either does not know or is lying. Get an expert to explain it to him. Islam does not coexist or integrate. But it does lie.

That Maher, a Jew, doesn’t want his head lopped off by a Sharia following Muslim is hardly proof or even an indication of him having a decent bone, or any other decent thing, in his body. No “atta boys” for Maher from me.

With respect folks, “infidel” is not really the correct word to use. “Kuffar” is the word, and it should be rammed down the necks of people like Ellison every microsecond of every day.
That Islam is a manual for Kuffarphobia should be made clear to CAIR, Obama and all Muslims and their apologists, constantly.
