Uber-Left Hate Organization, SPLC, Reviews Our Ground Zero Mosque Film

40

Tonight is the New York premiere of our Ground Zero mosque film at the St. Luke's Theatre, and we are sold out. The left wing battering ram is all over the film like white on rice. It's psychotic how desperately the left wants to see this triumphal mosque built. Check out the lengthy "review" from the uber-left tool kit, The Southern Poverty Law Center. The SPLC is indeed poverty-stricken, both intellectually and morally. They have a particular obsession with me and my fight for freedom and individual rights.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has kicked off its here. I equate the Southern Poverty Law Center coming out for Islamic supremacists with them coming out for nazis. What's the difference, and Movie posterNYC
why doesn't the SPLC even have a category for Islamic jihadi groups? Not one. The greatest threat facing our nation, our people, our world, and they are shilling for them.

And the SPLC, instead of standing for those freedoms, is carrying water for the real haters, the real neo-Nazi Jew-haters: the forces of Islamic supremacism and jihad.

Story continues below advertisement

A reader sent me an exchange he had with the SPLC's Mark Potok. Reader Bob wrote, "I started out by looking on their website for a definition of the term 'hate group' fully expecting that Islam would fit any reasonable definition. When I couldn't find such a definition (still can't today) I inquired." In the course of the exchange, Potok wrote back, "With regard to monitoring radical jihadists, we have made a pragmatic decision to leave that mainly to the major Jewish NGOs, which do a good job and have some real expertise that would likely take us years to develop." In other words, the real hate just doesn't matter to the SPLC.

But consider what they have admitted to here. They refuse to cover, evaluate, or report on the single greatest threat to free men here and across the world.  The jihad is exempt from the prying, dishonest leadership of the SLPC, but those standing up against these tremendous odds are being smeared, defamed, and destroyed.

And the SPLC is getting well-paid to do this. According to the SPLC's 990 Form for 2008, the SPLC's Chief Trial Counsel Morris Dees made a generous $348,420 that year. SPLC President and CEO Richard Cohen was right behind him at $344,490. General Counsel Joseph Levin made $189,166. Legal director Rhonda Brownstein brought in $179,806; CFO Teenie Hutchinson, $155,414. Potok pulled in $143,099. Former Chief Operating Officer Jeff Blancett made $159,301 — that's right, the former COO. Who is funding this anti-America, anti-Jewish group of subversives?

The SPLC hated the film, which means it is a must-see for freedom lovers everywhere. Set up a screening. Our next two screenings are in LA. Saturday, April 9th, 2011 at the  The Laemmle Theater 7 – 6731 Fallbrook Ave., West Hills, CA. And Saturday, April 9th,  screening and in-person presentations by Spencer and me at the Calvary Chapel Mission Viejo, 24821 Chrisanta Drive, Mission Viejo.

Pamela Geller’s New Film: The Next Wave of Anti-Muslim Propaganda SPLC

posted in Anti-Muslim, Extremist Propaganda by Robert Steinback on February 15, 2011

Splc

Anti-Muslim zealot Pamela Geller’s new film starts with a thud – literally. It’s the sound of a body striking a ground-level roof after plunging from lower Manhattan’s World Trade Center towers shortly after Islamic terrorists flew two jetliners into them in 2001.

Just in case that gratuitously shocking audio image wasn’t gut-wrenching enough, video clips of people leaping from the burning towers – and one striking a roof below – follow. Indeed, the greater part of Geller’s film, “The Ground Zero Mosque: Second Wave of the 9/11 Attacks,” is devoted not to making the case for its hyperbolic title, but merely stirring once again the pain, loss and outrage of the 2001 attack. The movie was screened for the first time at the Conservative Political Action Committee’s (CPAC) annual convention Saturday. The film will make its New York City premiere on Feb. 20 – Muhammad’s birthday.

The movie, produced by Geller, founder of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA), and Robert Spencer, principal of the Jihad Watch website, examines the controversy over the Park51 project – the so-called Ground Zero “mega-mosque.” Developer Sharif El-Gamal purchased the unoccupied building at 45-51 Park Place in lower Manhattan – two blocks from the World Trade Center site – in June 2009. He and Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf received city approval to build a 13-story mosque and community center there.

The “seminal, ground-breaking” film (as described on SIOA’s website) is intended to cast the Park51 controversy as a critical turning point in America’s war on terror – but despite incessant yanks on the viewer’s heartstrings, the 87-minute film makes a remarkably thin case for its provocative claim that it represented “the second wave of the 9/11 attacks.” The first 35 minutes and the last 20 minutes are almost entirely devoted to an emotional recounting the horror of the 9/11 attacks – often from the viewpoint of surviving family members – and a belabored critique of the mainstream media for allegedly ignoring or slanting the mosque controversy. The half-hour in between takes a cursory, one-sided look at questions about Rauf and El-Gamal, their financing, and about their alleged connections to radical Islamic figures.

The 9/11-related emotionalism thickly embedded throughout the movie serves a clear purpose. Like Geller and Spencer themselves, the presentation blurs any distinction between radicalized Muslim fundamentalists bent on violence, and Islam itself, thereby implying that the former accurately represent more than 1.5 billion nonviolent Muslims worldwide. It further interweaves concerns about Rauf’s “insensitivity” for choosing that particular location (Geller, at one point, says she has “no problem with mosques” in general) and insinuations about the developers’ motives (which imply Geller would object to the project even if it were moved). So is the film about a single offending mosque, a dangerous radical cleric allegedly masquerading as a moderate, or generalized anti-Muslim hostility? Yes.

“On its face [the project is] a terrible idea,’ Geller says on the film. “It reveals Islam and Islamic supremacism. … If it was truly about healing, they would withdraw it. It is a supremacist act to callously dismiss the pain and the grief they’re causing. I find their dismissiveness radically intolerant.”

Adds Spencer: “We want to give a voice to [opponents of the project], and to express the frustration and the anger the American people have in the face of the mainstream media’s indifference and complicity with this effort.” The movie’s aim, Spencer said, was “pointing out what the cynical agenda of the mosque organizers really is, and how it will be understood in the Muslim world.”

Even though the site is not actually at Ground Zero, Geller says it should be considered “sacred ground” because landing gear from one of the crashed airliners fell there. Spencer goes further, stating – without any supporting evidence whatsoever – that the Park51 project would be a “celebration” of an Islamic “conquest” rivaling the greatest in history. “This will be the triumphal mosque of all triumphal mosques,” he says. “It will outdo the Dome of the Rock and the Al-Aqsa mosque on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, or second only to them.” (It also would evidently be the first “triumphal mosque” ever built with a swimming pool and basketball court open to the public.)

The few details presented by the film are typically offered without identifying sources, making it difficult to separate fact from opinion. Geller at one point asserts that there have been “20,000 radical Islamic attacks since 9/11,” without mentioning that all but a handful of these attacks have occurred in the embattled Middle East and that other Muslims have been the primary targets.

The crisply edited production gives so little face time to Rauf and other supporters of the community center that it is hard to avoid the term “propaganda.” On CBS’ “60 Minutes,” Rauf – an American born to an Egyptian father and Polish mother – denounces the 9/11 terrorists. “We have to wage peace. The military campaign against radical extremists from my faith community is a military campaign. The campaign for winning hearts and minds is an important part of that campaign. We know how to do it, and we’re committed to doing it. We’re ready willing and able to serve our country and serve our faith tradition. … We have condemned 9/11. I pray for the souls of your loved lost ones. If 9/11 happens ever again, I want to be the first to die. Muslims want to stand right there to say that we are here. It’s my duty as an American Muslim to stand between you, the American non-Muslims, and the radicals who are trying to attack you.” Though the “60 Minutes” clip is available on SIOA’s website, none of Rauf’s sentiments are reflected in the film.

Perhaps the sneakiest edit in the film is a clip from CNN reporter Deborah Feyerick’s interview of project developer El-Gamal. At one point, she asks him, “For those who would say, ‘This [project] is not an olive branch to greater understanding, this is more an act of defiance,’ what would you say to those people?” Geller’s film cuts off El-Gamal’s response, making it appear as if he is stumped by the question. In the full clip, El-Gamal actually pauses for a moment, then says, “This is an olive branch.”

The film’s credibility isn’t helped by several commentaries by blogger Andrew Breitbart – now infamous for having publicized secretly recorded videos of right-wing “sting” operations against the community group ACORN and Planned Parenthood, and a speech by former U.S. Department of Agriculture official Shirley Sherrod – all of which were revealed to be strategically edited to misinform viewers about what really happened.

Late in the film, Spencer verbalizes what seems to be the real motive of the movie: arguing against any accommodation to Muslims in America: “It’s a threat that we’ve seen from many Islamic leaders in the West, that [Muslims] say that if you don’t grant us this concession, then there will be unrest, there will be anger. You will have to placate us in some other way. … And so the problem is, is that if you start on the road of accommodating shariah [Muslim religious law], if you start on the road of allowing for changes in the way that we do business or changes in the way we that operate our businesses and do our banking or the changes in the way we run our educational system or various other things … then we’re only reinforcing the principle that where Islamic law or practice and American law and practice conflict, then it’s American law and practice that have to give way, not Islamic law and practice. And once we start on that road, there is always more Islamic law to accommodate.”

Of course, that’s entirely false. Nothing in American law would, or even could, allow the use of Muslim religious law — or any other foreign system of law — in American courts. But like the film itself, that does not seem to concern the likes of Spencer and Geller, who are apparently ready to use any bludgeon that comes to hand in their jihad against the Muslim religion and those who practice it.

No Offense to the people from Alabama, but we didn’t exactly fall off the turnip truck yesterday. The SPLC has been linked with the communistic ACLU for years, including a case in 2002 where they actually worked together to remove the Ten Commandments from a public venue. They apparently have no families or friends from New York who suffered from the 9-11 tragedy, and they demonstrate a callous disregard for those that do.

Quote@ “With regard to monitoring radical jihadists, we have made a pragmatic decision to leave that mainly to the major Jewish NGOs, which do a good job and have some real expertise that would likely take us years to develop.”
However, it took them a matter of minutes to develop their ‘expertise’ in villifying those who wish to stop and reverse the theocratic totalitarian despostism known as Islam.

“Rauf – an American born to an Egyptian father and Polish mother – denounces the 9/11 terrorists.”
So many things wrong with this sentence.
The camel is a half Polish. Maybe if he abandons his worship of the Pedophile and converts away from the death cult, there is hope for Gamal.
Where is Ra’uf now, anyways? DIdn’t he resign from the Satanic VIctory Mosque in humiliation? What a moderate, eh? Let’s have the State Department give him more $$ so that he can become an even bigger islamic slumlord. (How many innocent Christian children were slaughtered because of Ra’uf’s satanic call to Jihad in Malaysia? http://www.cordobainitiative.org/?q=content/imam-feisal-star-seeking-harmony-malaysia )
You gotta love the fact that “denouncing” the 9/11 acts of Islam is considered extreme moderation among the American Islamonazi community. Like its a real debate among the subhuman Islamonazis whether its okay to slaughter their fellow citizens. And we’re supposed to be impressed that somehow that Ra’uf, CAIR, and the other Islamonazis (after months of defending it) finally had in early 2002 the cojones to conditionally “denounce” the 9/11 acts of Islam. Ah, Jeez, how generous of you. What moderation!
The fact that we’ve reached the point where its the main selling point of moderate Muslims that they “denounce” 9/11, then we’ve got a problem.

Has the SPLC anything to say about this?
“Extremist cleric to lead White House protest calling for Muslims to ‘rise up and establish Islamic state in America’ A hardline Muslim cleric who sparked anger across the U.S. with his anti-American comments in a television interview this month is to hold a protest outside the White House.
British extremist Anjem Choudary – who once said ‘the flag of Islam will fly over the White House’ – has announced he will lead a demonstration calling on Muslims to establish the Sharia law across America.
The rally, planned for March 3, is to take place just weeks after his on-screen row with Fox News presenter Sean Hannity.
Mr Choudary, 43, called Americans ‘the biggest criminals in the world today.’
The former leader of outlawed group Islam4UK told the Daily Star ‘we expect thousands to come out and support us…’

Suddenly now we are told that to view the horror of 9/11
is in poor taste? I don’t know the jackass who wrote that
article from a hole in the wall but to forget the horror
of that day is a SIN! It’s been almost 10 years, and nothing
so terrible has shaken our nation so deeply since the
start of WWII. My father in law was in WWII, he is a retired
Marine. Do you know that not a single time goes by when he
isn’t reliving that time in his life when he was just 18 years
old, today he is 86. Our country has more footage of the
bloody war staged in various parts of the world back then.
It’s actually sold for example by Time Life in video called
the world at war. “The ultimate visual history of World War II.
From North Africa to Stalingrad, D-Day, Iwo Jima, and Japan.
Experience hours of footage once deemed to shocking for
the public eye. Unseen video collected from the archives of
18 nations. Includes bonus DVD!
Order now and never look at WWII the same again!”
My father in law was staged in Peleliu
“BLOODY BEACHES: The Marines at Peleliu”
The Marines in World War II Commemorative Series
by Brigadier General Gordon D. Gayle USMC (Ret)
It’s very American to never forget and to keep the images
alive of the bravery, the sacrifice, against those
who jammed their damn fists into our chests and ripped
our hearts out! Maybe the pussy willow Mark Potok feels
as though this isn’t a war, but it certainly is and
has been and until we wrap ourselves around the truth
about the sick and demented ideology of Islam
the pictures of 9/11 and the honor killing victims and
their stories and more will be shared and documented.
I wish more men and woman were like my father in law.

It’s interesting that SPLC chose to use the word “jihad” to mean “attack”, which is an admission they’ve been loathe to present before…
“But like the film itself, that does not seem to concern the likes of Spencer and Geller, who are apparently ready to use any bludgeon that comes to hand in their jihad against the Muslim religion and those who practice it.”
Yes we will use jihad on the jihadists, it’s only fitting.

The Eagle and the Arrow
An Eagle was soaring through the air when suddenly it heard
the whizz of an Arrow, and felt itself wounded to death. Slowly
it fluttered down to the earth, with its life-blood pouring out of
it. Looking down upon the Arrow with which it had been pierced,
it found that the shaft of the Arrow had been feathered with one
of its own plumes. “Alas!” it cried, as it died,
“We often give our enemies the means for our own destruction.”

Mark Potak runs a “civil rights” racket and he sells a product in the Islam line that is not selling well anymore.
He and other phnies like him know what Islam is about, and he also knows its not worth hating. However, it (Islam() is going to be critically analysed (btw-much more so in the future) until it becomes obvious to everyone that its practices (as in 90% of women in Egypt suffer genital mutilation) are demented.
Potak and others try and can change the subject as people focus on the dogmas and practices of Islam to Timothy McVeigh (that’s always a good decoy) or whatever to divert people’s attention from reality, but as a great person once observed “the cat is out of the bag on Islam.”
That’s reality, and reality is going to prevail thanks to folks such as Pamela. (Agree or disagree with Pamela-she’s very smart and not a bull-shitter. So she’s an interesting lady. Potak and others like him are bull-shit artists. Over time, bulls doesn’t sell well.)

Never in my life would I have ever imagined that truth and honesty would one day be considered in a negative light. Pamela, her courage and strength are to be so so admired.
Also, as far as never trusting the enemy, looks like of all people Paris Hilton is converting to islam after having spent time with the House of Saud. She is planning to open an islamic center in Beverly Hills! She has no idea the danger she is walking into. What a tool. She thinks by converting to islam, which she says is the Now religion, she is no longer a bimbo… well, this is really the stupidest thing she has ever done.

I wonder how many rats nests like the SPLC there were who had to explain their dismissals of concerns about the Nazis, Fascists, and Empire of Japan after WWII was over? Do they realize they are the functional equivalent of the German-American Bund? Or will they continue to blame us even as the caliphate forms and the Great Jihad kicks into high gear. As long as they and others like them keep a hold on public opinion, our chances of avoiding that conflict go dimmer every day.

ROTFLMAO. You have just got to be using sarcasm.
Mainstream is he? That’s hardly giving Islam a better image. Isn’t calling for the death of the pope just a tad ‘extremist’.
Every time he opens his mouth to the UK media he boosts “islamophobia” in the UK. His da’wa is so counterproductive that sometimes I think that he’s an agent of Mossad.
I give him his due. He’s more honest in revealing his opinions than most supremacists. The less candid islamofascists in the UK hate him for spoiling their game.
I expect him to be denied entry to the US, but I’d rather he be allowed to speak in America, as it will be a real eye-opener for US citizens. His pronouncements are not as soothing as those of Tariq Ramadan, more poison ivy than aloe vera.
http://www.jihadwatch.org/2011/02/uk-islamic-supremacists-to-hold-white-house-rally-a-call-for-the-sharia-a-call-for-the-muslims-to-ri.html
BTW Who is to pay for his travel to the US?
His only source of income is apparently the state benefit hand-outs. I hope that the UK deducts from his payout for his time out of the UK when he is not available to take up paid employment.

Your talk of the continuing awareness and acknowledgement of the WW2 sacrifices reminds of the video clips that Pamela posted recently of the 9/11 relatives’ comments on the Bloomberg approved memorial to 9/11. The proposal is for an impersonalised conciliatory almost ‘victimless’ commemoration denying any identification of the individual victims, placing them in oblivion rather than in memoriam, while making a display of the motives of the individual terrorists. For shame.

The SPLC writing is carefully crafted: choosing the word ‘zealot’ is no accident. While the word has passed into a more general usage, I’m sure the writer is expressing a thinly veiled anti-semitism by alluding to the original meaning of ‘zealot’ as a member of a resistance movement in 1st century Judea, the defenders of Masada. The zealots were leaders in the Great Jewish Revolt when Rome sought to impose the ‘Imperial Cult’ and oblige the Jews to worship an alien god, the living deity of the Roman Emperor. I’m sure that Pamela will wear that label with equanimity, though it’s inaccurate as she does not advocate violence as the Zealots did.

Still exploring his options. This places him four days ago in New York being interviewed by Tell Me More host Michel Martin on NPR.
Rauf “stepped down” as the prospective “spiritual leader” or “senior advisor” at the GZM to “pursue a book project” and was taking a “reduced role in the Park51 project”, but there’s been no announcement of a complete dissociation from Sharif El-Gamal and the GZM project. He’s still flogging his “Cordoba Initiative” da’wa.

Let’s see? I am trying to recall just who was responsible for the Twin Towers attack? Hyperbolic attack? You’ve got to be kidding? The “pain, loss and outrage” are a direct result of the efforts of a very real and menacing enemy. If you think not, perhaps you need to go down and participate in Anjem Choudry’s affront to our sensibilities at the White House in March.
I am just sick to death of this empty headed nonsense that is being perpetrated by the “can’t we all just get along?” crowd.
Those Missions people who have been murdered in the name of “allah” didn’t leave death and destruction behind, they left well bodies and healthier minds because of their efforts, and yet they were slaughtered like animals.
The following photo’s are from the Madrid attack.
It is all part of the mohammedan philosophy of “striking terror into the hearts” of those who resist the bloody prophet and his followers.
You can’t say the evidences are not all around us, bombings, burnings, shootings, and the violence of beheadings and dismemberment.

Who funds this organization? I’ve never been able to figure this out. I was following (professionally) hate groups long before this organization existed. Do they actually put agents undercover inside the Klan?
I’d like to know how they operate.
Morris Dees’ cousin, incidentally is Rick Dees, whose most impressive contribution to American life is the memorable hit, “Disco Duck.”
I guess there’s not enough Klan or White Supremacist activity in the south these days, so they have to swing their sights toward Pamela.
This time they’re defending the haters. What a shame!
But, you go, Duck!

YA, they infiltrate ALL groups. I’ve read estimates that in the late 60’s half of the Klan were agents or informants. Only 10% of the Black Panthers were and 25% of the Weathermen. If ya want to research something look up Dr Timmothy Leary escape, weathermen and Black Panthers and Charles Manson. There a thread of agency involvement between them all. Look at how many surfaced now in this administration!

I called the commie Southern Poverty Law Center, Pam, to get Potock’s statement…had to leave a message. Waiting to see if the little man calls me back. Keep going, Pamela. Anyone who is still blind to Islam is braindead. Anyone who sides with Islam is siding with Nazis, who by the way, used Islamists to kill Jews in WWII.
Potock is the kind of guy who was pushed around on the playground.

The SPLC is a truly corrupt organization, and its reason for being, right from the get-go, was to make lots of money for its founders.
Leftist scam organization SPLC and its Cayman Island bank account
It’s the SPLC’s turn to be sued out of existence.
