Sudden Jihad: Muslim Cab Driver Plows Down Crowded Sidewalk in San Diego

24

Last Saturday, a Muslim taxi driver slowly plowed into a crowd of people on a busy sidewalk in San Diego. It sounded almost immediately like lone jihadi syndrome. And they would not release his name, which always makes me suspicious. They only do that when it's Islamic.

Lone jihadi or sudden jihad. We see this repeatedly.

One girl was pinned against a wall and had her leg severed. 35 people were injured and most were transported to hospitals. They had injuries such as broken bones, cuts and bruises, So incensed was the crowd that members of the crowd pulled him out of the cab and assaulted him. UPDATE: After the attack he jumped out of the taxi and started stabbing people with a pair of scissors.

Story continues below advertisement

I did not post on it because the authorities refused to publish his name. It took a few days, but now we know that he was a 52-year-old Egyptian-born cab driver, Hasan Daly.

The original FOX article (below) said "the driver, who is between 40 and 50 years old, either fell asleep or passed out. Alcohol was not involved." But he didn't fall alseep. Police confirmed Daly stopped at the stop sign on the corner before driving about 15 miles per hour into the crowd.

Wait, get this:

When emergency crews first arrived, they were told to clear the area because of fears that the taxi might have had explosives inside it. A witness reported seeing a bag with wires coming out of it on the taxi's seats. The bag turned out to be a massager, according to the San Diego Union-Tribune.

People thought it was a a terror attack. And this would-be slaughterer was not arrested and no charges have been filed.

Sammy Nour, who hired Daly years ago as a company limousine driver, said Daly is a hard worker but a very private person."I was shocked," said Nour. Indeed.

Taxi Plows Into Crowd in San Diego FOX News

SAN DIEGO — A taxi cab driver plowed slowly into a crowd on a sidewalk in San Diego's busy Gaslamp District early Saturday, injuring more than two dozen people, police said.

The San Diego Union-Tribune reported that the crash occurred about 2 a.m. in the middle of the popular restaurant and nightclub zone, close to the city's convention center.

One young woman was pinned against a wall by the cab and had her leg severed.

Officer Michael Stirk said security guards from a nearby nightclub detained the driver. He was then transported to a hospital with a broken nose after being beaten by angry members in the crowd and having his taxi’s windows smashed.

Stirk said the driver, who is between 40 and 50 years old, either fell asleep or passed out. Alcohol was not involved, he said.

Police Lt. Todd Jarvis told the Union-Tribune that officials are investigating why the driver drove onto the sidewalk. The cab was traveling slowly, around 15 mph, and the crash did not appear to be intentional, authorities said.

One off-duty military paramedic who had been at a nearby nightclub told the Union-Tribune the scene was initially chaos, with people screaming and yelling. He said he went to the aid of three of the injured who were lying in the street and assisted them until paramedics soon arrived.

Fire Capt. Rocky Delgadillo was heading to a local air show but ended up at the scene last night just moments after emergency crews were dispatched.

"It was what we call organized chaos," Delgadillo said. "In 31 years, this is the most patients I've seen at one scene in a mass casualty incident."

The newspaper reported that 25 people were injured. Early Saturday morning, all but two were taken to area hospitals. Their conditions were not available due to privacy laws.

Authorities had no immediate plans to arrest the driver, whose name was not immediately available.

Roommate of Stingaree Cab Driver says He Feared for His Life

SAN DIEGO – Dan Rose says he has been living with Sam Hassan Daly for the last two months.  Rose says, "he's a pretty solitary man kind of a recluse I guess you would call it."

Rose says things have gotten progressively worse since he moved in.  "It's been a very uncomfortable situation living here the last couple months."

A photo shows Daly's cab parked in the garage before Saturday morning's crash.  A crash and confrontation that injured 35 people in the Gaslamp district in front of Stingaree nightclub.

Rose said he feared the 52-year-old Egyptian born cab driver. "Just very irrational behavior, um I don't know if it was necessarily a terroristic type thing or maybe he's just imbalanced."

Rose said Daly called him names and confronted him for bringing a date home.  The confrontation scared him so much, he began to carry a knife with him in the house.

Rose says, "the reaction he had towards me kind of made me a little scared so I carry one with me even in my home when I'd go to the bathroom."

Rose says Daly gave him his move out notice last Friday.  That the home is in foreclosure and Daly was leaving the country and heading back to Egypt.

UPDATE: More proof of malicious intent: A quote from this article: (hat tip Mike)

Stingaree owner James Brennan said the cabbie had a pair of scissors in his hand that he swung at one of the club managers, although he didn’t know what the driver intended to do with them.

He intended to stab them. After the attack, he jumped out of the taxi and started stabbing people with a pair of scissors.

I read this story in my own paper the other day and thought something sounded suspicious. So I googled around and couldn’t find anything more. But it still bothered me.I wonder if the police are going to interview him again because they should. A lot of red flags are going up.
It’s strange too that they wouldn’t give his name or any type of description. I noticed in my local paper lately that if the police are looking for a suspect in a robbery or homicide, they won’t give the race of the person they’re looking for. How the heck do they expect people to call if they see someone who looks like the person described?? PC gone wild!

Update on casualties from Associated Press
http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20110215/ap_on_re_us/us_san_diego_taxi_crash_1

SAN DIEGO – Surgeons operated Monday on a 45-year-old mother whose leg was severely damaged when a taxi pinned against a wall outside a crowded downtown nightclub.
Dominique Gambale is expected to walk again but her right leg will not regain its full function or appearance, said Dr. Paul Girard, an orthopedic surgeon at UCSD Medical Center in San Diego. She is eating, talking and sitting up in bed.
“Her prognosis is good,” Girard said. “It’s a little bit guarded. There are more hurdles that she has to clear and more surgeries that she has to have in the next week to two weeks.”
Doctors removed damaged tissues and realigned her limb Monday and were expected to operate again on Thursday, Girard said.
Police initially said the limb was severed but the hospital said that was incorrect. It said the she suffered “an extreme crushing injury,” a complex fracture and a large open wound but that her leg never came off.
Police said Monday that 35 people have reported being struck by the cab around 1:50 a.m. Saturday outside the Stingaree Nightclub in the city’s bustling Gaslamp District. They were mostly abrasions, complaints of pain and several concussions. A 45-year-old man suffered a broken leg.
Gambale was the only one hospitalized as of Monday. Her husband was at her side.

I read an article about this days ago and when I read that the authorities stated it was NOT intentional even though the taxi driver SLOWLY plowed into a crowded sidewalk, I immediately knew that the perpetrator of this PLANNED, PREMEDITATED CRIME had to be a Muslim. The authorities ALWAYS cover for Muslims.
When are we going to take to the streets in mass protests demanding that the authorities place a value on the lives of non-Muslims? Muslims in America are now ALLOWED to commit violent acts against non-Muslims and get away with it. Islamic sharia law is ruling America. One law for non-Muslims. Another law for Muslims – who are allowed to break our laws – allowed to violently attack non-Muslims. The Islamo Nazis world wide are taking note.

Pamela,
Thank you so much for posting this. We can only hope and pray that many media sites will follow your example and report on this crime against non-Muslims.

Tom,
Thank you for giving the update. I prayed for this poor woman and her leg. She must sue her vicious attacker to pay for all of her medical bills, physical therapy, lost wages, and suffering. Unfortunately, and very conveniently for her hate-filled attacker, US authorities are allowing him to leave the country.

When I saw this on the news the other night my first thought was sudden jihad. Almost all the taxi cab drivers in downtown San Diego are Somali. When this happened it took days for the media to release the name of the taxi cab driver. When they finally released the name and said he was an Egyptian immigrant, I knew exactly what this was. Also after the attack he jumped out of the taxi and started stabbing people with a pair of scissors.
A quote from the article: Stingaree owner James Brennan said the cabbie had a pair of scissors in his hand that he swung at one of the club managers, although he didn’t know what the driver intended to do with them.
The attack was caught on multiple security cameras. I wonder if they will release any of the video?

No surprise here. They are encouraged to commit jihad in all forms but this one was announced as a viable alternative recently. ALL muslims must perform some form of jihad , whether it be immigration jihad, breeding jihad or some form of murder jihad.

I had my own suspicions of jihad when I first heard this story and I am not happy at having them confirmed. Accidents happen and I just hoped this was another. As these stories continue to pile up I have just one question: do Muslims anywhere in the US give a crap about the rest of us?

Gotta jump in on this one. Check it out, on Sat. afternoon there was a major celebration of the history of US naval aviation in SD. There was every single plane that has ever been deployed by the Navy in the air at once and flying formation. Someone told me that they had never seen so many planes in the air at once in person and that the sound was awesome. Also, that you could not have been anywhere in or around SD and missed it because they flew ALL over the entire area and the thunderous noise made it ompossible to miss. I personally do not think that this was just coincidence. A show of US power and pride in the afternoon and then boom, the hottest club in SD gets hit at night. Think about it.

In Israel it’s been common for decades. Muslims occasionally drive tractors or cars into a crowd, and every one of them can suddenly decide to pull out a knife and go on a killing spree.
This is the benefit of allowing these people into your country – you have no way of knowing when and how they will crack, and decide that ‘today is a good day to die for allah’.

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan — Senator John Kerry, sent by the White House to win the release of an American official held in prison and accused of killing two Pakistanis, expressed remorse on Tuesday for the episode and pledged that the United States would conduct a criminal investigation once the official was returned.
In an effort to tamp down the furor in Pakistan over the case, Mr. Kerry, the chairman of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee, spoke in conciliatory terms yet stressed the principle of diplomatic immunity after landing in Lahore, the city where the official, Raymond A. Davis, is accused of shooting two Pakistani motorcyclists who he has said tried to rob him.
The episode three weeks ago has aroused a tide of anti-American emotion that threatens the survival of the pro-American Pakistani civilian government, and it has greatly damaged the already tense relations between the United States and Pakistan, a downturn Mr. Kerry said he hoped to reverse.
“Our Department of Justice will conduct a criminal investigation,” Mr. Kerry told a group of Pakistani television anchors, an assurance that Washington had not offered so far. “That doesn’t mean the law of immunity is not to be respected.”
At a news conference in Washington, President Obama stressed that Pakistan must abide by the conventions of diplomatic immunity and that Mr. Davis, a former Special Forces soldier assigned to the American Embassy in Islamabad as a “technical and administrative” official, was not subject to prosecution by the Pakistani courts.
The government of President Asif Ali Zardari has declined to grant diplomatic immunity to Mr. Davis.
The Pakistani news media have questioned whether Mr. Davis is a diplomat and criticized what is being termed arrogance by the United States in allowing an official to drive with a loaded Glock pistol, 75 9-millimeter bullets and five magazines on a crowded downtown street. An hour before Mr. Kerry arrived, one of the most popular television hosts, Kamran Khan, said that granting immunity to Mr. Davis meant countries could send “anyone anywhere to kill.”
A high court in Lahore is scheduled to hear an opinion by the Pakistani foreign office on Thursday on the question of immunity for Mr. Davis.
The former foreign minister, Shah Mehmood Qureshi, who lost his job in a cabinet reshuffle on Friday, said he had refused a request by Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton to certify diplomatic immunity for Mr. Davis because the “official record” of the foreign office did not warrant it. Mr. Qureshi was widely interpreted by politicians here as following the wishes of the military, which is essentially in charge of foreign policy.
On Tuesday, the Lahore police submitted a report of their investigation to the court rebutting Mr. Davis’s claim of self-defense.
It stated that Mr. Davis fired at the men from inside the car he was driving and then fired at them after stepping out of the car.
The report said that Mr. Davis had shot the men in the back, as well as in the front, firing 10 bullets in all. One man was shot while running, the report said.
At the time of the shooting, Mr. Davis, 36, was driving alone on a busy thoroughfare in Lahore when two men, according to the police, tried to rob him.
According to the police report filed Tuesday, the two men carried pistols that were not loaded.
After Mr. Davis shot the men, he photographed their bodies and called for help on his cellphone. An S.U.V. from the American Consulate in Lahore rushed to the scene and knocked over a motorcyclist who later died. That vehicle fled the scene, and the Lahore police have demanded that the Americans in that car report to the authorities.
The police investigation said that the S.U.V. carried a fake license plate. Some gear fell from that vehicle as it sped away, including 100 bullets, four battery cells and a piece of cloth with an American flag stamped on it, the report said.
In Mr. Davis’s car, the gear included the Glock pistol and ammunition, a variety of flashlights, a long wrench, and a small packet of what is known as naswar, a mild narcotic commonly used in the tribal areas of northwest Pakistan adjacent to Afghanistan, the police report said.
After more than 10 days of detention at a police training center, Mr. Davis was moved to the central prison in Lahore last week.
Mr. Zardari’s government has been troubled by threats from religious groups, emboldened by the shooting of a secular politician by his bodyguard, of mayhem if Mr. Davis is sent back to the United States.
The government’s position has been complicated by the fact that Mr. Davis is being held in the jurisdiction of Punjab Province, where right-wing religious fervor is gaining strength and where former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif wields political power.
On Wednesday, Mr. Kerry is scheduled to meet Mr. Sharif in Islamabad, American officials said. Mr. Kerry would impress upon Mr. Sharif that Mr. Davis’s case should be decided in the United States, they said.
Mr. Kerry, who is known in Pakistan as the sponsor of a five-year $7.5 billion aid package, was also expected to meet with Mr. Zardari and the army chief, Gen. Ashfaq Parvez Kayani, they said.
ISLAMABAD: The second high-profile casualty of the Raymond David fiasco, after Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, appears to be the US Consul General in Lahore Carmela Conroy who, sources say, has been told to start packing for home.
Sources close to Western diplomats say Washington is unhappy with the performance of Carmela, who is likely to be recalled in the next couple of weeks. The US Embassy, however, denies such reports, though not in very strong words. “That’s not true,” said the embassy spokesperson, Courtney Beale, when approached for her version in this respect.
The News has heard the same reports from two different sources known for their close links with Western diplomatic missions in Islamabad. They say the US diplomats in Islamabad and Lahore are under intense pressure from Washington and have also been reprimanded for their failure in arm-twisting the ruling elite of Pakistan on the Raymond Davis issue.
Carmela stands first in the firing line and “she has been asked to pack up,” said a diplomatic source. She won’t be recalled immediately though, the source went on to say, and this process may take 2-3 weeks.
Carmela held a string of meetings with the top officials of the Punjab government, pressing for the release of Raymond but in vain. According to an official, the Raymond issue is largely being handled by the National Security Adviser to President Obama and the State Department had no emphatic say in this regard.
Carmela has served in Afghanistan and Japan before assuming office in Lahore. “She is sensible, sociable, and professional.” This is how a Lahore-based journalist spoke of her. “Unlike her predecessors who would mostly focus on political meetings, she also attends social gatherings, pays visits to fashion shows and other places.”
Comparing Carmela to her predecessor, Brian D. Hunt, one journalist said the latter was also very frank and social but with too much focus on politics. The US Consulate General under Brian’s watch was the main source of information for Lahore-based journalists on the likely no confidence move against Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani last year.
“Brian would even advise the major opposition parties in this respect and used to say the motion could succeed provided they moved it jointly,” said a senior journalist, adding this showed Washington’s thinking that it was not bothered if the PPP government was toppled.

You Can Read This Report in Urdu by Clicking Below
He was addressing the media after meeting with the US Senator John Kerry. Qureshi said the meeting was arranged on the senator’s request. Senator Kerry was a friend of Pakistan, he opined.
‘Pakistan and America need each other’s help.’ The issue of killing two Pakistani citizens in Lahore in broad daylight by a US embassy employee has become a matter of national respect, he added.
Qureshi said that I was instructed to stay quit on the burning issue.
Addressing the press conference, former minister said the foreign office had briefed him on January 31st that the blanket immunity that the US was demanding for Raymond Davis could not be provided.

San Diego police Lt. Rick O’Hanlon, I recommend you look up how many other “unfortunate accidents” have happened to mohammedan drivers who plowed their vehicles into American pedestrians. Compare that to the
number of such “accidents” happening, during the same time span, to NON-mohammedan drivers. What is the statistical probability of that distribution? When you finish, MILLIONS of people will read your report, no matter how highly it is classified. Will you come across as an honest policeman who turned in an unbiased report, or as a treasonous political stooge? Of course, you can kick the whole mess upstairs, to Homeland Security, and let THEM make the actual cover up.
