Perhaps Katie Couric can work this into an episode of her blockbuster idea of a sitcom, "Little Mosque on the Prairie."

Militants Kill Christian Teenagers For Reading Bible, Missionary Says BOS News (hat tip Jack)

NEW DELHI, INDIA (BosNewsLife)– Suspected Islamic militants have killed two Christian teenagers who were reading the Bible in the disputed Kashmir valley, divided between India and Muslim Pakistan, BosNewsLife established Tuesday, February 8.

The victims were identified as Arifa, 17, and Akthar, 19, the daughters of Gulam Nabi Dar, said local missionary Mercy Ciniraj, who knew them well. "The [murdered] girls were believers and used to read the Bible through underground ministries."

She told BosNewsLife that "the girls were shot dead" last Monday, January 31, in the Baramulla area in Indian-controlled northern Kashmir, bordering Pakistan.

They were "brutally murdered" by at least three fighters of Lashkar-e-Taiba, a Pakistan based Islamic militant "terrorist" group, she explained. Local police reportedly said in statements that they found two bodies near their home and that militants were to blame.

ISLAMIC STATE

Lashkar-e-Taiba, or the 'Army of the Righteous', seeks to introduce an Islamic state in South Asia and to "liberate" Muslims in Indian-controlled Kashmir.

India has identified the group as the alleged masterminds behind the the 2008 terror attack on the Indian financial capital of Mumbai that killed 166 people.

The killings of Arifa and Akthar show that militant attacks also include targetting devoted minority Christians, Ciniraj suggested.

The girls' involvement in Bible reading was among several projects of mission group Salem Voice Ministries (SVM), which supports evangelism and aid among Muslims and Hindus in India, including through underground house churches in Muslim-majority Kashmir.

BELIEVERS IN FEAR

After last week's killings, however, local "believers are totally in fear," added Ciniraj, who founded SVM with her husband, Indian pastor Paul Ciniraj, a former Muslim.

The January 31 attack was believed to be the first incident of civilian killings by militants in the Kashmir valley, this year. The violence also added to other difficulties of Christians in Kashmir valley, as they suffered of diseases, explained Mercey Ciniraj to BosNewsLife.

"Since the last one and half months we all are fed up with different types of sickness. Few days we suffered with reddish eyes one by one [and] after that we were attacked with viral fever too," she said, adding that local believers asked for prayers.

Despite their concerns, local Christian workers plan to continue preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ who they believe gives eternal life to everyone who believes in Him, Ciniray stressed. "By God's grace now we recovered [of illnesses] and are fully active with the underground church ministries and reaching the Gospel at any cost who never have a chance to hear it."

And the persecution of Christians continues. And we’re allowing this wicked religion to take root in this country even though we read about the atrocities that are linked to this religion worldwide and even in this country. Looks like political correctness might be this countrys downfall.

Islam isn’t a religion. If it were, I’d tolerate it, but clearly it’s more than that.
Islam is a sociopolitical system that incorporates religion as a means of subversion in free cultures. If an atrocity is committed under Sharia law, it’s justified in the name of Allah and overlooked. But only if you’re muslim.

It`s sickening to hear about all these murders of Christians, also while the protests were happening in Egypt 2 Christan Copt families were massacred in their homes ( men, women and children ).
Once again, no reports in the mainstream media about it!
The general public needs to know what`s going on!

It’s a very sobering and disturbing continuing story. I can’t help but be struck by the irony of my owning multiple Bibles and all kinds of spiritual texts from other religions and have for so many years taken for granted that I could study any religion and attend any service which interested me. It is quite painful to know that there are places in the world where other people are being killed for owning and reading a Bible.
I just did a Google search on Atlas for “religious persecution” and there is quite a list.

More mayhem from the “tiny” minority of radical muslims. Meanwhile our Christian leaders and ministers say not one damn word as they book yet another interfaith meeting with these savages.

It shows how threatened the Muslims are of Christianity. The only way for Islam to spread and survive is through fear and thought control.

pamela:
how long will the pope, the patriarch, the arch bishop of canterbury, … , how long will these leaders of the christian west stay silent over the murder of christians and jews by islam?
are they afraid? have they insufficient faith to confront their fears? or, are they stupid? or, faithless?
it is agonizingly sad that these “leaders” of faith will not speak out.

Islam is nothing but Satans Religion! Only Satan loves Death as much as Islamist Pigs! Allah is really Satan, only the name was changed. Allah = Satan! Muhammud was a Gay Pig, loved little boys, but loved anal sex with pigs better! Islam should be exterminated from the face of the earth!

so when are we going to do something about this cult? we sit around and complain, feel our moral indignation, listen to politicians make speeches about this bs religion of peace, and still they go about their business of slaughtering the innocent.

yes, they’re afraid and they probably have doubts about their religious convictions, but that being said, there is no excuse for allowing this immoral cult to continue along their murderous path. it is absolute suicide for us to do nothing. it doesn’t take faith to take action–it takes faith to do nothing. i know that by failing to take action they will win. every culture they have invaded has been destroyed. we need to have a louder voice with our politicians and demand change.

yeah, we’ve come to that conclusion here, but now what can be done? like you, i am just as frustrated and angry, but now is the time for action. Pamela, any suggestions?

Hi, Pope Benedict XVI did speak out many times against Islamic extreme customs
and values. He did speak against radical Islam in 2010 and just recently urged
Pakistan to abrogate it’s blasphemy laws.
“I once more encourage the leaders of that country to take the necessary steps
to abrogate that law, all the more so because it is clear that it serves
as a pretext for acts of injustice and violence against religious minorities.”
The question begs, why aren’t we seeing Obama in any of his speaches delve into
this issue, and since we know the answer we know why not. He’s a muslim himself.
In spite of Obama, will America remain one nation, under G-d and indivisable
the way our founding fathers would have wanted it? The test is under way, the
torch has been passed. What will you teach your children tonight at supper time
about this great nation? Speak, teach, make them learn about your national pride,
that is what I say. Stories coming from a trusted source, like a mom or dad
or grandparent will supply patriotism galore into the next generation,
all we need to do is speak. We can’t allow public schools to do the job
of teaching national pride, or about faith, these are things we should
be sharing in our home. I bet every family in America has some awesome
story to share about their own family lineage and history. Begin there.
It is to counter the negative by illustrating that by patriotic actions,
our nation has been so blessed, not some cheap talk a liberal teacher
sitting on their fat ass passed along. We all need to talk, not just the
leaders of our faiths, but the leaders of our homes and our families
as well.
