YES TO WAL-MART

NO TO GROUND ZERO MEGA MOSQUE

250 BROADWAY, COMMITTEE ROOM 16TH FLOOR

Earlier I posted on the dangerous and deadly direction Bloomberg and his toolbox was taking us. Mayor Gloomberg and NYC Council don't want a Wal-Mart in NYC, but are whoring for the Ground Zero Victory Mega-Mosque. The NY City Council has declared December 14th, "Hate Wal-Mart Day," and will hold a witch hunt hearing against Wal-Mart entitled "When Walmart Comes to Town." We will be there to stand against the fascists. Please join us and send this to your email lists, groups, list servs, and tea party people.

AFDI/SIOA are calling on all freedom lovers, free market lovers, infidels, proud Americans, and people of conscience to stand for American values and against islamic supremacism.

While the nation's largest retailer Walmart considers opening a store in New York City, the city council has decided to take a closer look at the retailer.

On December 14, the council will hold a hearing entitled "When Walmart Comes to Town" to examine the company's impact on small businsses and local communities.

In New York City, opposition could come from organized labor as well as city council members.

Steven Restivo, a spokesman for Walmart, said the company will provide information to city lawmakers "to help inform the discussion." At the same time, he said Walmart found the hearing "curious," as "it seems to ignore the fact that the city is currently home to hundreds of stores that are similar to Walmart" and the retailer currently has no store in the city nor has announced a specific project.

Perhaps if Wal-Mart proposes a store with a mosque on its two top floors looking down on the hallowed ground of Ground Zero, they can get Gloomberg to ram it through and the taxpayers to fund it.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn, who stood behind Mayor Gloomberg while he whined that the terrorists would win if we didn't allow stealth jihadists to build a victory mosque at Ground Zero, joined a labor protest against the retailer last June, the Daily News reported.

“You know, it isn’t that we don’t want Walmart,” Quinn said at the rally, according to the News. “It’s that we don’t want companies that have led the nation in law suits being brought against them by workers. We don’t want companies that have the largest class-action in history brought against them. We don’t want companies where women are, over and over, paid less than men and not promoted. You can be very clear that I don’t want that.”

Got that?

These clowns miss the whole point of Lady Liberty. She stands, not for the sharia, but for individual rights.

The Wal-Mart opposition movement is a political fraud. Wal-Mart has saved towns (all the way back to Bentonville, Arkansas). The anti Wal-Mart movements are dangerous. Big union backed, this represents the tendency to move toward dictatorship policy and collectivism, and away from freedom.

MANHATTAN — As rumors continued to swirl about Walmart moving to the Big Apple, the City Council has scheduled a hearing for next month to debate the merits of bringing the retailer to New York, according to the council’s website.

The event, titled “When Wal-Mart Comes to Town: The Effect on Small Businesses and GZM wal
Communities: A Historical and Prospective View,” is a joint hearing by the Committee on Small Business and committees on community and economic development. (We had an event, “When Radical Muslims Come to Town”)

“We’re excited to have this hearing and get all the information out in the open so it can be debated,” Bennett Baruch, deputy chief of staff to Councilwoman Diana Reyna, told Crain’s New York Monday. Reyna chairs the Small Business Committee.

The Big Box retailer, which is the country’s largest private employer, has tried several times to break into the New York market — most recently in 2005.

Walmart spokesman Steven Restivo said earlier this month that the company is once again looking at the possibility of opening a New York City store. Restivo would not confirm, though, whether they are looking at locations in Manhattan.

Public support for the store entering the city seems uncertain at best.

City Council Speaker Christine Quinn joined a labor protest against the retailer last June, the Daily News reported.

How about? “You know, it isn’t that we don’t want Muslims. We just don’t want radical Muslims celebrating over Ground Zero.”

They’re upset how Walmart treats women? But your ok with Muslim Sharia Law!

Mr. Pinko, over at IOTW, is holding a contest for the best sign copy.

New York City is holding a “Walmart” hearing on December 14th whether or not they are “allowing” Walmart to build a store in New York City.

New York City is allowing the Ground Zero Victory Mega Mosque to be built on the grounds of “that it’s their RIGHT to build it” but they are refusing WalMart from building a WalMart store in New York City.

The iOTW challenge:

What will your clever “protest” sign say that points out the Walmart / Ground Zero Mega Mosque hypocrisy!?
