This goes to the core of why Islam is a threat to liberty, both physical and intellectual (opinions, ideas, “political speech”). The security and surveillance that has had to be put in place because of Ilsam’s dogmas is choking freedom as Hitler and Stalin could never have dreamed possible.
It is not a few “extremists” or “fundamentalists” that are the problem (note Warriq’s quote below). That’s a big lie. It is the dogmas of Islam itself that are the problem.
Islam will finally be seen for what it really is (even by the “tolerance” folks), but the longer we pretend that Islam is not the problem, the more the totalitarian surveillance and security will grow in the land of Liberty and elsewhere. (I think Orwell would find it ironic that it would not be Nazism or Stalin-ism, But Islam that would bring about Big Brother. Big Brother is here.)
Again, it’s not a few extremists or fundamentalists that are the problem. It’s Islam that is the problem. It must be reformed. The Jew-hating suras have to be banned from the Qu’ran, abrogation of the “peaceful” suras has to be reversed, and the chronologically later violent suras have to be banned.
Is that likely to happen? No. Because the Qu’ran is not considered a collection of “inspired” books, open to interpretation, but allegedly direct dictation from Gd.
Non-Muslims and Muslims have to face reality on this. Islam, as it currently exists, should not be tolerated.

First time I’ve heard Keith Ellison speak. The word reprehensible to mind. Williams’ natural feels are no the stuff to twist and make up out of whole cloth things and philosophy express. In fact, what Williams took pain to make clear he wasn’t saying.
I have a Zoroastrian, Iranian friend. A couple of times I’ve been in his presents when there was a Muslim around. One time we attended a presentation. The speaker identified himself as a Muslim, did a little dawa. My friend, being from Iran and also a Zoroastrian, I was curious to see what he thought of this man who was speaking. With one look at his face it was easy to see the disgust. Later during a break, I asked him what he thought. He said, “If I had know this guy was Muslim I would have never come.” He added, “What Muslims have to say is useless because their always lying.”
According to Ellison, my Iranian friend is a bigot and discriminates against Muslims or it could be, growing up in Iran he just knows, what he knows what he knows.

Pamela-Eventually the “tolerance” folks are going to see that you are not motivated by “bigotry”-but that you’re Casandra Geller. But don’t expect any thanks from the “tolerance” folks.
They’ll all pretend that they “been doing independent research and critical analysis of Islam and there are problems with Islam because of its dogmas.” It’s coming.
At that point, you’ll know you’ve won. But don’t ever expect the “tolerance” folks to acknowledge the truth. It will take years for them to accept reality on that, too.

I’ve watched the vid several times. Ellison’s comments were well rehearsed. The words were carefully chosen-in a Neuro Linguistic Programming pattern. As for the fairness doctrine: will Ellison appear on Fox, appear on the O’Reilly Factor. That would be fairness.
Watch how a person can be manipulated via the use of words carefully chosen and buried in a “conversation.” It’s how propaganda works….

As far as this whole Juan Williams story goes, I am a bit troubled by it. First of all Williams has been a water carrier for stupid liberals for decades. Finally for once in his life he gathers some common sense and all of a sudden we are supposed to feel bad that he got fired by NPR. Why is it that I should feel sorry for Williams? Can someone explain that to me? I am not a journalist and I have known for years that if a liberal says something that is not liberal group think gibberish that said liberal will be thrown under the bus quicker than you can blog the story.
