The notorious Islamic supremacist Imam Zijad Delic, Bosnian Muslim and the executive director of the Canadian Islamic Congress, has been uninvited, his speech cancelled by the Canadian Defence Minister Peter MacKay, over accusations that the Congress holds extremist views. We owe a deep debt of gratitude to the herculean efforts of Revere-ian bloggers who exposed this suicidal act of dhimmitude. Of course Delic is howling, just like the predatory hyenas at Hamas-linked CAIR. Same playbook:

Once again bloggers and like groups are on the front lines doing the heavy lifting in the war on the West, while big media carries water for the the most radical, intolerant ideology in history.
Jay Paxton, MacKay’s communications director, said in a statement that “[Friday] morning, upon hearing Imam Delic may participate in these celebrations, Minister MacKay took the decision to cancel the Imam’s role based on extremist views promulgated by the Canadian Islamic Congress.
“The Canadian Islamic Congress has declared that Israelis over the age of 18 are legitimate targets of suicide bombers. These types of comments don’t support Islamic Heritage, they simply divide Canadians, promulgate hate and they have no place in Monday’s celebrations.”

What we have witnessed is the effort by an extremist organization to legitimize itself in the public eye. This did not happen without enablers; useful idiots or willing conspirators the CIC had help from the inside. Whether the rot extends to DND itself or is confined to DFAIT remains to be seen. Hard questions must be asked. Access To Information requests with the Defence Department’s visible minority advisory group will be filed. We’ll have more on the plan of action as it develops.
Contrary to the counter spin of the usual suspects the Canadian Islamic Congress has not been denied their right to free speech. They have simply been disinvited to speak at a government event, they remain perfectly free to continue expressing their views. Furthermore, and contrary to what some charge, the CIC has not been disinivited solely on the basis of the anti-semitic remarks of past president Mohamed Elmasry, rather it is the Canadian Islamic Congress’s historic and continued advocacy of radical Islamist doctrine and anti-semitism that forms the justification for their exclusion from this event.

The CIC has been linked to the distrbution of Anti-Semitic election flyers

The CIC was responsible for the infamous Maclean’s Human Right Commission Free Speech Witch Hunt, which Imam Delic endorsed.

Showing much fortitude Canada voted against this effort to subvert our fundamental right to freedom of speech and expression, causing CIC President Wahida Valiante to reveal the true nature of the CIC’s Islamist agenda against free speech and Canadian values in her denunciation of our government. OTTAWA — A speech at National Defence headquarters by the outspoken executive director of the Canadian Islamic Congress has been cancelled due to his organization’s “extremist views.”
A spokesman for Defence Minister Peter MacKay said Imam Zijad Delic was scheduled to make an address as part of Islamic Heritage Month on Oct. 4 but that MacKay decided to cancel the event.
“The Canadian Islamic Congress has declared that Israelis over the age of 18 are legitimate targets of suicide bombers,” spokesman Jay Paxton said in an email to Global National.

Why must there be an “Islamic Heritage Month” at all in Canada? It seems as though every day is “islamic heritage” day.

“building bridges with different interfaith groups” –> What exactly does that mean? What is an “interfaith” group?
It really means nothing, but it sounds really soothing and nice.
There are lots of “faith” groups, but there aren’t many “interfaith” groups. I would think that if a group calls itself “interfaith”, it is already building 2-way bridges.
However, when a devout muslim like Imam Zijad Delic says that he is building bridges, what he means is 1-way bridges. In other words, the other group has to continually “give” while the devout muslims “take”.
All in the name of “interfaith dialogue”, of course.

The other night when the “raheb” was trying to harangue you with the “what does rauf have to do with the 9/11 hilackers” it would have been cool if you just said something like “what do they have in common? The CIC invented it. So of course they’d have to be the ones to be invited for all the touchy feely bridge building with government organizations that comes with Islamic Heritage Month. That’s why this is so funny. They basicly got disinvited from their own party.

Re: Moderate Imam Zijad Delic
Often in articles authors make a distinction between a “Radical Muslim” cleric and a “Moderate Muslim” cleric. Any person who had taken “Islam 101 Course” will tell you that the labels are referring to non-existing realities within the key principles of the religion called Islam. In the Arabic language the word Islam is rooted in the verb “ASLAMA” meaning surrendered/submitted. A muslim is a person who has surrendered or submitted himself to the will of God, clearly expressed in the noble Koran- a guide in the Arabic language that points to all true muslim believers the true path of salvation; an Islamic Umma under the wise rule of a Muslim Caliph, who rules justly with full compliance with Divine principles revealed in the Koran.
The Koran dehumanizes and demonizes any person who refuses to adopt Islam as “The Perfect Deen/Arabic for religion”. The following Koranic verses are often chanted during the beheading rituals we often see on radical Islamic websites. For the pious Muslim beheading his defenceless hostage, is an act of heroic proportion, because he is slaughtering the Devil incarnated in the human form of an Infidel.
“Satan has gained possession of The People of The Book (Jews and Christians) and caused them to forget Allah’s warnings. They are the confederates of Satan; Satan’s confederates shall assuredly be lost in hell. The Believers are the confederates of Allah (Hizbollah); and Allah’s confederates shall surely triumph”. Koran 58:19
“We will put terror into the hearts of the unbelievers (Jews and Christians). They serve other Gods for whom no sanction has been revealed. Hell shall be their home; dismal indeed is the dwelling place of the evil-doers”. Koran 3:149
“Believers, do not make friends with any men other than your own people. They will spare no pains to corrupt you. They desire nothing but your ruin. Their hatred is clear from what they say, but more violent is the hatred which their breasts conceal”. Koran 3:117
Any Muslim (Turkish, Arab, Pakistani…) who rejects these verses and hundreds of other verses in The Koran, full of venomous hatred directed against Jews and Christians, is no longer a muslim, because he is reversing his act of submission and questioning the judgement of Allah or the accuracy/reliability of the prophet who conveyed the will of Allah to his followers. There is no moderation or “pick and chose” your verses or souras. The Koran in its entirety is The Holy Book of Islam, and for many Western scholars a questionable literature.
