The Other Ground Zero Mosque: Flight 93 Islamic Crescent Memorial

64

Flight_93_memorial

The other Ground Zero mosque is not in New York. The other Ground Zero mosque is in Shanksville, Pennsylvania, at the site where a group of American heroes, upon hearing from their loved ones that their plane was not being hijacked but being used as a missile by Muslim terrorists to take out the Capitol or the White House, seized control of the aircraft in a life and death struggle. They saved the nation's capital, but not themselves.

Story continues below advertisement

How is their courage and sacrifice being rewarded? With a huge crescent …… "of embrace." It is an outrage.

I have been blogging on the Flight 93 Islamic Crescent Memorial for well over four years, but the media blackout was overwhelming. Perhaps with a nation roused from its slumber by the Ground Zero mega mosque, the Islamic Crescent memorial will get the attention and rebuke it so richly deserves.

With the heightened attention on the proposed mosque at Ground Zero,
it’s time equal scrutiny, exposure, and awareness be brought to the giant
outdoor mosque being built in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

Videos exposing the
travesty taking place, almost silently, at the memorial site are below. It’s
time for Americans to get educated, speak up, contact your
elected officials
, and stand up for America and those murdered by Muslims in
the name of Islam!

Also read the letter
Tom Burnett, Sr. wrote to the American people and was published at Atlas Shrugs, that included this:

We too need your help; we need to stop the
National Park Service building another mosque in Shanksville. PA.

I served on the 2005 2nd jury that was
commissioned to select a design honoring the passengers and crew on Flight 93.
The public submitted over 1100 designs. The first jury went through those 1100
designs and selected 5 designs that were presented to the 2nd jury.

When I saw Crescent of Embrace, I immediately saw
the Islamic symbols. I spoke out against the design and explained my reasons to
the other members of the jury. The vote was taken, 9 for the Crescent of Embrace
and 6 against that design. That vote was not unanimous.

There were 4 excellent designs left; there was
absolutely no reason to select a design that even suggested Islamic symbols.

I knew that the public would agree with me when
they saw the Crescent of Embrace design. They did, but our government would not
listen or investigate our claims. All of our letters ended up in the same hands,
the National Park Service. We can’t give up; we must stop this mosque being
built in Shanksville, as well as the one in New York.

Other mosque features:

Mosque design is based on a dozen typical mosque
features, every one of which is realized in the Crescent/Circle design, all on
the same epic scale as the half mile wide crescent-mihrab. Note, for instance,
that the 93 foot tall minaret-like Tower of Voices is topped with another
Islamic-shaped crescent, akin to the crescent-topped minarets seen in many
Islamic countries:

An Islamic shaped crescent, soaring in the sky above the symbolic lives of
the 40 heroes, which literally dangle down below. In Islam, there is only heaven
and hell. Symbolic damnation?

The Flight 93 mosque needs to be stopped, along with the Islamic victory
mosque at ground zero in Manhattan. May the fight against these two desecrations
strengthen each other.

Sincerely,

Tom Burnett Senior
Loving father of Flight 93 hero Tom Burnett Junior

I found the link to your article first posted in July 2010 on another website, and I sent it to all my friends and family and even to several at Fox News and not one peep out of anyone. I would think you would think it was a good story to cover especially because of all the talking heads that want the one built at Ground Zero. It certainly backs up the notion that it is not about religion, if anyone still had any doubt. Is there one also being built near the Pentagon, has anyone checked? It is not just the main stream media that is covering up just a mosque. As they say they are in cohoots together!

I’ve been wondering how to sum up why I hate pisslam so much and then it occurred to me.
I like being alive. Being alive is a privilege. One that should be honored. Life should be honored.
And that’s why I hate pisslam.
Because pisslam means death.
It always has. It always will.
It’s in its nature. Its one true, basic, fundamental nature: death.
That is why ALL pisslamists have to offer is mayhem and death.
That is why their filthy murderous ideology commands them to lie all the time.
That is why they are all about “kill this one”, “kill that other one”, “kill those who offend our pedophile prophet”, “off with their heads” and so on and so forth, ad nausea, ad infinitum.
That’s why they make women live like walking tents and so much love to torture and stone women to death. That’s why they love to kidnap people and cut their throats. That’s why they can cut stewardesses throats with box cutters and crash planes into buildings. They are all about death.
That’s all they are about. That’s all there is about pisslam. That’s all they have to offer. They are full of it. And nothing else.
Their hands are full of death. They mouths are full of death. Their eyes can see nothing but death. Their minds are full of death. Their lives are dedicated to death. Their past is death. And their future, if we allow them to have any, is filled with their deaths and ours.
If you sit with a pisslamist you are sitting with death. If you sign a treaty with a pisslamist you have signed a treaty with death. If you take a pisslamist’s word about anything you have taken death’s word.
That’s their nature.
They are true zombies. Zombies do exists. Their name is pisslamists.
pisslam is death.
All pisslamists are dead inside due to their filthy fascist irrational murderous ideology.
And they want to bring all the rest of us to death with them.
It was so simple.
And every time they get away with murder they like to build a monument to their triumph, as a sign in honor of death.
That’s what the victory mosque means. It means: “we can kill your people and stand beside you and spit on the graves of your dead as a prelude of more killings to come and you are going to let us without lifting a finger because you have bred enough useful idiots to make for a critical mass in our favor and your throats are ours and you are too soft to defend yourselves”.
And if we let them, we deserve what’s coming. And they know it.

They have a living, breathing monument to Islam right by the Pentagon already…. the Commander and Chief…. Barak HUSSEIN Obama.
As for Shanksville, this has been going around for a long time but the MSM stooges won’t do anything about it and everyone is in denial. I know it is a rural part of PA but what’s the deal folks?! Rally in PA and another Petition? It took at minimum 6 months of blogging and emailing and non-stop agitating to get any real attention to the Cordoba travesty.

Is there no shame. How can anybody contemplate a design as a memorial that HURTS people so deeply hurt already. And they want sensitivity from US? Sensitivity goes both ways. Especially following mass murders, the feelings of the survivors and family should weigh MOST.

I normally skip over the really long posts. But I read yours.
It hit me very clearly and right in the face that islam is nothing more than death.
I always thought of them as a super mafia, and I knew that they were of their father the devil.
But after reading your post, the “death” aspect of it all became very clear.
I’m surprised that they don’t wear a skull as part of their attire, like the Nazis did.

From the name to the many facets of the design, there are many “innocent” and convenient coincidences that pay homage to izlam, or are there? Personally, I don’t believe in coincidences.
It would be a “great pity” if some act of nature wiped out this outstanding “memorial”. Now, acts of nature are something I do believe in.

Considering that the feds did not have the Constitutional authority to even acquire the land, someone should be suing to block this memorial on 10th Amendment grounds.
Because of that, construction of this memorial as I see is unconstitutional.
Let the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania decide how to build the memorial, as to me, land use is a local or state issue at most. (The only exception would be if it is acquired for direct use by the feds for use in a Constitutional function.) Like the mosque in Manhattan, the feds should butt out of something that they have no authority to be in. They can establish one at the Pentagon, as that’s a federal building…but not over formerly private property.
This one is much easier to stop, or it should be, thanks to the Constitution, if a judge is smart enough to grant standing.

I’ve been wondering too. How did this design come about? It looks to me like a memorial to
the muslim hijackers. But, why? Is it just political correctness run amok — again?
??The hijackers are members of a minority so we have to judge them leniently, with great understanding that we are guilty of injuring them or they would not have done it?? Is that it?
Nothing would surprise me anymore.

My heart goes out to all the families who lost their loved ones in this terrible terrible murder by muslim terrorists. This was not an accident .. It was a planned murder. I cannot understand for the life of me, why those in charge are letting this happen. What is wrong with these people who are accepting this. I am Canadian and unfortunately cannot get to this site should there be a rally against this memorial, but my heart and mind will be there with you all. From the bottom of my heart, I wish you all the best in getting this madness stopped. What an insult to all those innocent people who so heroically gave their lives. This is so very very sad

It’s still unconstitutional, as the memorial’s creation violates the Takings Clause and the 10th Amendment. If there is to be a memorial built, let it be built—by the good people of Pennsylvania and on their terms.
That’s my reason for opposing a war memorial from private property on principle.

No need for an investigation—just demand that the feds show where in the Constitution their authority to build one from private property (or to take private property for a war memorial) comes from.
The memorial can be changed, but it would still be exceeding authorities of the feds.

Crescent or no – is it not illegal if you read the Constitution strictly? That is where protests against it should be: challenging federal authority to even build it—any. If it must be built, it should be by cooperation of the landowners, Somerset County (PA), and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania—without federal input.

I put together a picture out of several elements to show Flight 93 at the moment of impact, and to show why this thing really is a “Crescent of Betrayal” : http://s528.photobucket.com/albums/dd329/agent8698/Crescent%20of%20Embrace/?action=view&current=Shanksvillesmall.jpg
Somebody in the comments above said:
“tom burnett senior: we stand with you. the readers of this blog and the attendees of beck’s rally: all decent americans support you on this.”
Well, it’s not that simple: the majority of the family members support the design. Does that make them indecent? No. It means that there is a certain psychology at work here, which causes most of the family members to be closed-minded on this issue, maybe it has something to do with the grieving process, to protect themselves from further pain. I am convinced that is the reason why no big-name pundit with a big audience wants to touch this story (because they don’t want to go against the family members).
Somebody else commented about Paul Murdoch also having designed the Ground Zero mosque: I have no reason to believe that, that sounds like a pure rumor.
However, one of Paul Murdoch’s partners on the Crescent of Embrace project, Davis Langdon USA, has recently won an award form the National Park Service, for their contribution to this project, and take a look at their logo:
http://www.facebook.com/pages/Santa-Monica-CA/Davis-Langdon-USA/293152064540
If you search for that logo on the web, it sometimes shows up as red (instead of grey). It looks like a stylized Islamic crescent.
As far as stopping the Flight 93 Memorial from being built, it is currently under construction, none of the objectionable features have been removed or changed (just some disguise added in the form of extra trees, and one small modification to a small section of the ‘glass blocks’). Here are current construction photos: http://www.facebook.com/honorflight93?v=wall&ref=ts

A lawsuit should be blocked to prevent it from opening…and in the future, even if it angers the families of Flight 93 victims, it should be closed and returned to the previous landowners, who can then decide what they want to do.
The slope created by Kelo created 7 more victims, and means that the stuff will really hit the fan when it’s attempted again in NYC.

One of the affected landowners should have sued, citing the Fifth Amendment’s Takings Clause and the Tenth Amendment that bars the feds from making local land-use decisions (except for land and buildings it will use for constitutional functions).
It may play out again in NY under a Republican President (declaring the mosque site a war memorial), and that is where the stuff may really hit the fan when the landowner there refuses to recognize federal authority, claiming the 10th, and it goes all the way to the Supreme Court.
The Pentagon is different – that’s an Armed Forces structure.

The First Amendment does not apply. What does apply is the Tenth Amendment, which in theory means that land-use decisions involving private property should be left up to local authorities…and that the National Park Service has no Constitutional authority.

Who is the owner though, the owner(s) might be someone like yourself who’s likes the idea of the design but unlike yourself doesn’t really have any objections to government memorials. If it was a counter jihadist or someone who actually cared then they might have complained already otherwise they’re probably a unaware dhimmi or an islamist themselves. They may have also assumed it would be a monument to the victims not the apparent victors, so any action now would simply be called racist and the case thrown out by someone who decides they since they didn’t care then why should be be caring now
By the time a Republican president gets in there probably wouldn’t really be any grounds for the war memorial as the mosque will have already taken it’s place over the original building, while the location is still there the significance is a bit less since the building is rubbish and any remains most like thrown in the trash by leftists who build there. So I don’t think that would happen, I never honestly had an hope that Obama would do anything about it as he he is more or less an Islamist himself, (heck if he had his way the white house would probably have a minaret or two).
The problem I have is by then is that New York (and ergo the US) will be already become part of the Dar Al Islam and therefore will be regarded in a similar was to Israel, Spain and any other territory that the the jihadists ever owned and now belongs to them forever. So they only real thing that can be done by then is get a mayor that can force the Islamists in the mosque not to blast the takbir 5 times a day from loud speakers, which is pretty creepy since those were the last words of the apparent victors
If this mosque does get built and is there in 2012, there is still one option I can see, if justification is given such as the mosque being tied to jihad and a president or mayor who opposes jihad, (aka not Obama or Bloomberg) then the property might be able to be seized and sold, then demolished on live TV in front of the Arab world which is about the closest thing that can be done to reversing the effect of this victory mosque in their eyes.

Not many American people are aware of this so-called memorial in Shankville, PA. What course this “memorial” is, of course, is yet another Islamic hijacking symptomatic of Islam’s ongoing attempt to hijack our nation and national government. Radical Muslims who have infiltrated the federal government are behind this monstrosity. If more people DID know about this ‘monument’ there would be a significant public outcry against it.
More importantly however,
What Americans need to do is build themselves a REAL memorial to honor the heroes of Flight 93. Can we by any chance get any well-heeled US citizens to come forward and either donate land or money or help us locate manpower and erect the type of monument to the fallen heroes of 9-11 that our government is now all-too-clearly unable to procure? Such a memorial does NOT need to be located in the immediate vicinity of the existing Islamic eyesore at Shankville. At the site I envision a plaque documenting the story behind Islamic phony memorial built at Shankville as well as numerous other plaques and statues to honor the FLight 93 heroes and their lives.
Are there any ATLAS SHRUGS readers who would be willing to work on this? Someone will need to or nothing will ever happen with this. Shrugging this off will merely add proof to the suspicion that America is now dying and unable to manage the great things it once could manage with pride and ease. I am personally itching to see Americans destroy the notion that America is rotting away and to see a real Flight 93 memorial arise. If we can manage to construct a REAL memorial to the heroes of Flight 93 THAT will help dispel this nagging hunch so many of us are feeling in their innards these days.
America truly needs a real memorial to honor those onboard Flight 93. May American people finally realize that they cannot wait for Uncle Sam to assist them with it any longer–it just isn’t going to happen.

Here’s an example of a proper memorial: some guy in Ohio built his own 9/11 memorial park. Scroll down to see all the photos. There are no Islamic symbols there. No minaret-like structure with an Islamic crescent placed prominently and victoriously on top with 40 pieces of metal hanging below, representing the defeated infidels strung up like fish, as will soon be a reality in the Flight 93 memorial. Nothing pointing to Mecca. No moral relativism and no multiculturalism, either:

I hope someone sends this to Anne Coulter who seems to be against anything American. Her vile remark about the widows of 9/11 having their 15 minutes of fame was so heartless and ruthless. God bless Tom, jr and the other brave souls who paid the ultimnate price that day in September. Never should any memorial be built near the grave sights of our HEROS, more than 3,000 of them, unless these memorials are built to honor them. In God’s name, what is becoming of our beloved country. I well remember Dan Rather standing with tears in his eyes saying that no more will we ever be able to say “Thine alabaster cities gleam undimmed by human tears.” GOD BLESS AMERICA!

Oh good one, Ellen O’Neal, trying to slip in a dig at Ann Coulter while waxing patriotic about Ground Zero. Of course, what actually happened was Annie C was getting in a dig at a small group of widows who were representing their antiwar views as typical of all family members odthose slain at Ground Zero, which they most certainly were NOT. This ain’t HuffPo — we’ve got our radar attuned to this sort of trick around here.
Now what was I going to say — ah yes. Nobody should be surprised at this PC exercise by the Park Service. Have you been on a tour of some of our national monuments lately. You tour Independence Hall and all you hear is a lenghty PC dreck concerning some minor detail in the Declaration of Independence relating to black slaves, delivered by a tour guide of color. On Boston’s Freedom Walk I overheard a guide talking toa group of kids about how hazardous women’s lives were at the time. Live every other public institution in our country, it’s eaten up with Poli Correctness.

Design modifications
In response to criticism, the designer has agreed to modify the plan. The architect believes that the central elements can be maintained to satisfy criticism. “It’s a disappointment there is a misinterpretation and a simplistic distortion of this, but if that is a public concern, then that is something we will look to resolve in a way that keeps the essential qualities,” Murdoch, 48, said in a telephone interview to the Associated Press.[17]
The redesigned memorial has the plain shape of a circle (as opposed to a crescent) bisected by the flight’s trajectory. “The circle enhances the earlier design by putting more emphasis on the crash site, officials said in the newsletter. A break in the trees will symbolize the path the plane took as it crashed.”[18] There is criticism that the redesign does not address any of the issues with the original design.[who?]
The redesign has been unveiled and can be seen at the NPS official web page for the memorial. Architect Paul Murdoch describes it as follows:
“The image is an aerial view from the bowl looking towards the Sacred Ground. To the left in the background, a walkway approaches from an arrival court along the edge of and overlooking the Sacred Ground. The walkway eventually widens in from a ceremonial gate, shown in bronze, and the wall of names, composed of 40 panels of 3-inch (7.6 cm)-thick slabs of polished white granite, 8 feet (2.4 m) tall, each inscribed with a name of the 40 heroes. Two walls flanking the gate are clad in polished white granite and the flight path is paved with black granite. Beyond the gate is the impact site, shown planted with wildflowers, and the hemlock grove beyond.”[19

Has the “qibla orientation” been changed so that Mecca is not in the bull’s eye position? Has the tower of voices been eliminated? If not, his changes mean little.
There is no misinterpretation. Nothing in the design is unintentional. If he wants to address people’s concerns, those offensive elements must also be addressed.

Hi Paul Murdoch: You might want to use your real name next time, you traitor! Ha!
The Shanksville, PA, 9-11 Terrorist Memorial will be the world’s largest outdoor mosque. It is still shaped like a big red crescent.
Alec Rawls is an expert who has written a book on the subject:
“The redesigned flight 93 memorial, announced today, still contains all of the features that made it a terrorist memorial. Architect Paul Murdoch’s infamous red crescent is still there, still planted with red maple trees, still inscribed in the exact same circle as before, and with the same two crescent tips still intact. Thus the crescent bisector defined by these crescent tips is also the same as before. It still points almost exactly to Mecca, making the crescent a Mihrab (an Islamic prayer station, where the believer faces into a crescent, towards Mecca, to perform his ritual prostrations). The design still incorporates a separate upper terrorist-memorial wall, centered precisely on the red-maple crescent [placing this upper section of wall, and the copse of trees that surround it, precisely in the location of the star on an Islamic flag]. There are still 44 translucent blocks on the flight path to the crash site, matching the total number of dead, instead of just the forty translucent blocks that are dedicated to the forty murdered Americans. Lastly, the Tower of Voices part of the memorial is still an Islamic prayer-time sundial.
“Start with the red crescent. In the original design, the lower crescent tip was defined by the furthest extent of red maple trees on the bottom, while the upper crescent tip was defined by the end of the inner of two concrete walls, between which trees were planted.
“In the redesign, the lower tip remains exactly as before. So does the upper crescent tip (the end of the inner concrete wall). The change is that there are now additional trees planted beyond the end of the concrete wall that defines the upper crescent tip. These additional trees, planted along and out from the circle line, make it look like there is now a bowl instead of a crescent, but both original crescent tips are still in place.
“The filling in of some trees, in places that blend the original crescent into its surroundings, but do not affect its defining characteristics, is apparently the only change in the entire “redesign.” All of the original features of the terrorist-memorial remain.”
Alec Rawls provides architectural renderings/pictures at his site.

We feel very happy to see how american are finally coming to grasp with the meaning of symbols. Muslims are good at it, since they are used to double talking and decieve.
It’s time for us to put an sudden and permanente stop for more mosqued build in America, 100,000 of them are more than enough.
Let’s beginn with: Ground Zero in N.Y;
the mosque in front of the Pentagon in Washington;
and, finally, perhaps the most arrogant and insulting of all, the one in Shankville Pa.
