SEPTEMBER 11TH: RALLY STOP THE GROUND ZERO MOSQUE

67

On June 6th, we organized a protest to stop the 911 mega mosque. SIOA rally. El Marco had extraordinary coverage here and here.

JOIN US AGAIN. SEPTEMBER 11, 3PM ON THE CORNER OF PARK  PLACE AND WEST BROADWAY.

A  15 story mosque looking down at the cemetery of Ground Zero in the
location of a building partially destroyed in the 911 Islamic attack  is
wrong. It is indecent. The Burlington Coat Factory Building is Ground Zero.

Story continues below advertisement

September 11th was chosen because the Imam and Daisy Khan said that they would break ground on the tenth anniversary of the 911 attacks: September 11, 2011. That cannot stand. One other thing bears noting about the day of the greatest ground assault on US soil in our nation's history. I go down to Ground Zero every 911. I do not get to go into the pit where the services and ceremonies take place, as I have no "special status or press creds." Only the families and the media can access those events. So I stand outside the pit, and it is the most depressing place to be. Not for the obvious reasons, but also for a little-known reality most Americans know nothing about. Ground Zero becomes a magnet for every crackpot, anti-war, commie, socialist, 911 truther, sufferers of Bush Derangement Syndrome …..enemy of the state.

September 11 since 2001 in lower
Manhattan has been dominated by America-haters. We
do not want to leave the day to them. We will honor the victims and all Americans, and fill Ground Zero with patriots on September 11th.

We are beginning
with a brief memorial service honoring the victims, and are not
beginning our rally until the morning memorial services for the
victims are concluded.

Speakers: Members of victims 911 families, John Bolton, Geert Wilders (LIVE!), Andrew Breitbart (either live or via video stream) Gary Bernsten,
Ilario Pantano,
Steve Malzberg,
Gary Berntsen, Michael Grimm, a candidate for Congress from New York's 13th district and a 9/11 first responder, ACLJ, and more soon to be announced.

Steve Dansby, singer of Rita Jones' song "Salt In the Wound".  performing that iconic tune live.

Hosting the rally are Pamela Geller and Robert Spencer of FDI/SIOA.

For transport, rides and caravan information, go here. Delaware has joined the statewide coalition.

Our sister organizations
in Europe and Australia are holding solidarity rallies on September
11th. My colleague, Anders Gravers, will be speaking at a solidarity
rally.

From Looking at the left:

On Sunday, June 6th, a multi-ethnic, multi-racial coalition of
Americans opposed to Islamic violence and intolerance rallied at the
site of the World Trade Center in New York City.

9/11 families were joined by immigrants from India, Russia, Egypt,
Israel, Africa, Iran and Europe to show opposition to the construction
of a mega-mosque at Ground Zero. Others flew in from overseas to speak
or just to share their particular ethnic communities’ experiences at the
hands of moslems.

These are parents and spouses of firefighters killed on 9/11. The
rally took place just a minute’s walk from Ladder 10 Firehouse, where
their loved ones were stationed for duty that terrible day. Ladder 10
lost seven firefighters.

Crowd estimates ranged from 5,000 (NYPD) to 10,000. The crowd
overflowed the police barrier enclosures that ran the full length of two
city blocks. This photo shows the enclosure in front of the stage at
the intersection of Liberty and Church Streets. The second enclosure ran
the length of the next block and can be seen on the other side of the
traffic lights.

Pamela Geller, Executive Director of Stop Islamization of America (SIOA), was the rally’s principal organizer. Geller’s Atlas Shrugs blog is one of the top 30 political blogs in the nation.

Geller is one of the foremost voices for freedom standing up against
the tyranny and denial of human rights that Islamization brings. She has
been a vocal and vigorous defender of religious freedom in the face of
the spread into America of Islam’s death penalty for those who leave the religion.

Thousands of additional participants filled the treed area of Zuccotti Park.

Pamela Geller:

“Ground Zero is a war memorial, Ground Zero is a burial
ground. We are asking for sensitivity…It is unconscionable to build a
shrine to the very ideology that inspired the jihadist attacks at Ground
Zero, right there. We are asking the imam Rauf and Daisy Khan to be
sensitive. For mutual respect and mutual understanding that is demanded
of us every day.

There’s a hair-trigger sensitivity in the muslim world, you can’t run
the cartoons, you can’t say Mohammed, this is offensive. This is an
offensive mosque. To build a shrine, an Islamic flag of conquest on the
sacred ground the cherished site, of a conquered land. This is historic,
this is Islamic history. It’s what they do. The St. Sofia in Turkey,
the al-Quds, at the holiest Jewish site in Israel. Not here. This is
where we take a stand. We must take a stand. We must say no.”

Robert Spencer holds a photo of airplane parts that crashed through the roof of the Burlington Coat Factory
(site of the controversial mosque) on 9/11. The fact that the building
had to be abandoned due to damage sustained on 9/11 makes it part of
“Ground Zero”. It is 600 feet from the site of the Twin Towers.

“This is a war memorial. This has the blood of our
American brothers on it. And I say that we designate the Burlington war
memorial, that it’s a historic landmark, like Gettysburg, like Pearl
Harbor. And we are going to sue the U.S. government to get a designation
of war memorial status.

I do not believe that the landmarks commission controlled by Mayor
Bloomberg, is going to stop this mosque. It’s not going to happen.
Here’s Omar Muhamedi, on his human rights council, a CAIR lawyer, who BLOOMBERG RUSHES MOSQUE APPROVAL!!

E-MAIL MAYOR BLOOMBERG : http://www.nyc.gov/html/mail/html/mayor.html

Robert Spencer is the co-founder with Pamela Geller  of STOP
ISLAMIZATION OF AMERICA, which sponsored the rally.  Mr. Spencer is the
author of eight indispensable educational books on Islam and head of the influential web site Jihadwatch.

Jihad Watch covers jihad in all its manifestations, and emphasizes
the need for all the actual and potential victims of jihad violence and
oppression — Jews, Christians, Hindus, Buddhists, secular Muslims,
atheists, to join together to defend universal human rights.

Robert Spencer blasted New York politicians and dominant liberal media:

Are you tired of being smeared?

Every NY politician and every mainstream media source on this
story has said this is a story about tolerance, against bigotry, and
who do you think they’re calling the bigots?
The Americans who are standing up for American values against the most radically intolerant and hateful agenda on the planet…

We were at the Community Board meeting when they approved this mosque 29 to 1.
They said that the mosque leaders say that they believe in tolerance
and so, OK, are you tired of being treated like a moron? They say they
believe in tolerance, so that’s the end of the story as far as the
mainstream media and the mayor of New York, and everybody else is
concerned. Except for everybody with a grain of sense and eyes in our
head.

The imam Faisal Abdul Rauf is on record in favor of bringing Islamic law, Sharia, into the United States.
Read his book. He says there should be restrictions on the freedom of
speech in the United States. It’s in there. I’ll bet the mayor hasn’t
read it. The community board hasn’t read it, and Imam Faisal Abdul Rauf
said he believes in tolerance. He believes in Sharia. Sharia denies the
freedom of speech. Under Sharia, if you are muslim and you leave Islam,
you are liable to be killed.

Under sharia, there is discrimination institutionalized against women and against non-muslims.
That is anti-American, that is anti-freedom, that is anti-human, and we
will not let it stand. And so, we are here to stand for America, to
stand for the people we lost on that day, in an act of war, by the same
ideology that will be taught in that mosque. And make no mistake, they
say it will be different, but they will be reading the same Koran and
teaching the same Islamic law that led those 19 hijackers to destroy the
World Trade Center and murder 3,000 Americans.

Police enclosure on left, with crowd
flowing out of park on right. The new Tower 7 and World Trade Center
site are in the background. The green tent, center, is located
immediately behind the stage.

The dominant liberal establishment
media has mis-reported this gathering as a crowd of only 500 supposedly
motivated by racial hatred. Typical is Salon Magazine, which
called the 9/11 families, firemen, policemen and international victims
of Islamic terrorism “various wingnuts, racists, riled up nativists and
terrified fools.
” Of course this is how the left thinks of any persons expressing the tiniest bit of patriotic sentiment. Watch the video above, and see who the media calls “500 racist teabaggers”.

Simon Deng is an American citizen from southern Sudan. He is also an
escaped slave. He is a leading human rights activist who speaks out on
the genocide perpetrated against blacks by Arab moslems in Sudan. The
history of Arab colonization of Africa is one of islamization, wholesale
slave trading, and genocide. Simon Deng is a warner of the horrors of
unchecked Islam and sharia.

“This is an insult to America and this is an insult to
New Yorkers. I’m outraged. I’m so mad and upset because of the insult to
those who died here. The last words of the terrorists, it was Allah hu
Akhbar when they came to kill us. And they want to build a mosque to say
every single minute “Allah hu akbar” every minute here.

Let me tell you this, I came from a country where The policy of
Islamization it took me to being a slave when I was nine years old. The policy of Islamization slaughtered three millions of my fellow Christians in southern Sudan.
The policy of Arabization and Islamization left seven million of my
fellow Christians refugees in Sudan, the biggest refugees since WWII.

In the state that I came from in southern Sudan, there used to be one
mosque. I was in Sudan a month ago. There are 113 mosques. When they
are building these mosques today, they’re going to build another one
here tomorrow, and another one there, and another one there, and you’re
going to have a million mosques. NO! Even the muslims themselves, I
talked to hundreds of muslims, they agree, the mosque should not be here
because of what happened here. The decent muslim agrees with all of you that the mosque, by being built here, it is an insult to those who died here. NO! NO! We, the New Yorkers, have to stand shoulder to shoulder, and stop this mosque.”

For those on the left who deny the nature of Islamic totalitarian
aggression, I made this photo in black and white. For me, it’s a black
and white issue.

Simon Deng is not the son nor the great-grandson of a slave. He is an
escaped slave. He was kidnapped at age 9 by an Arab moslem and taken
down the Nile from southern Sudan. There are still open slave markets in
Sudan’s cities today, under an Islamist dictatorship. In Mr. Deng’s
case, he was given to an Arab family related to the slaver. He was
treated like an animal, a sub-human by his master and the family.

Simon Deng is of the Shilluk tribe. The distinctive scarring
decorating  his brow is worn by all Shilluk men. At age 14 he escaped
with the help of a Shilluk stranger who he recognized by his decorated
brow. Millions of Sudanese black Africans have been killed by Arabs in
recent decades, and many million more were enslaved for export to the
middle east over the centuries of Arab colonization. Moslems still
enslave blacks in a number of countries in Africa today.

Since slavery is permitted by Islamic law, Muslim countries have used
secular law to ban it, but only due to pressure from western nations.
Some countries outlawed slavery only recently: Qatar in 1952, Yemen and
Saudi Arabia in 1962, Mauritania in 1980. But slavery continues on a
smaller scale in a number of moslem countries due to custom and the fact
that sharia law remains unchanged.

Simon Deng with Leonard Wahl, father of U.S. Army Sergeant Gregory C. Wahl, killed in action Balad, Iraq, 05/03/04.

Simon Deng will lead the second SUDAN FREEDOM WALK from the United
Nations in New York to the U.S. Senate in Washington, D.C. The march
starts on September 28 from Dag Hammerskold Plaza, adjacent to the U.N.
in Manhattan.

After the first Sudan Freedom Walk,
two moslem men struck Mr. Deng with an automobile in an assassination
attempt. With a broken shoulder, ribs, and two collapsed lungs, Mr. Deng
was taken for dead, but was revived and spent two months in intensive
care. It’s worthy to note here that our English word for assassination
comes from the Arabic word for the same.

I spoke only briefly with Maureen Hunt (center), who worked at Cantor
Fitzgerald for 21 years. Her sister, Kathleen, also worked at the World
Trade Center, and died on 9/11.  Maureen would have died also, but that
morning her daughter, PFC Courtney Davila, left for Kuwait with the
U.S. Army at 5:00 a.m. and she was there to see her off. Private Davila
served 9 months in Kuwait and lives with the knowledge that but for her
deployment on 9/11 2001 her mother would have died along with her aunt
Kathleen.

Joyce and Vincent Boland with a photo of their son, Vincent, Jr., who
died on 9/11 while working as a Marshall McLelan business analyst on
the 97th floor of Tower 1. He was 25 years old and Mrs. Boland said of
him ,”No mother could have asked for a better son.”

Port Authority and NYPD officers kept watch over the rally and were
well aware of the need for heightened security at this event. One of
their own Port Authority officers, WTC Sergeant Alan T. De Vona was on
duty at the World Trade Center on 9/11, 2001, and was one of the first
to help victims of the terrorist attack. He spoke these words to the
SIOA rally:

“It’s almost nine years. I’m hoping that America is
watching. I’m hoping that America is remembering. Because, make no
mistake. September 11 was an act of war. And thank the military that has
lost almost 5,000 troops from that day, defending us. I don’t know what
to say to jar America’s memory. I want America to remember.

What do you need to hear? You want to hear that there were people
that were so frightened that they jumped out of buildings and they
exploded on impact? You want to hear that there were dismembered bodies
all over? You want to hear that we looked at people that were gutted?
There are things that we haven’t spoken about.

We couldn’t stop the people from responding. The Fire Department that
day lost 343 firefighters. They were unstoppable. They poured into that
building. The Port Authority Police: 37 police officers. NYPD 23 police
officers. EMS lost people. Civilians were there – they helped people.
They died helping people. America, where are you on this? Where are you?
Don’t you remember? What is it going to take for you to remember?”

NYPD Sergeant Cuci on patrol next to the speakers’ platform.

“There was a 14 story building of rubble that smoked
until December of 2001. On September 12th, we all came together, people
from all over this country, people from other countries, came together
to help us. … They told us that it would take over a year to clear that.
But no, we did it within nine months. Construction workers, the Red
Cross, the National Guard, everyone was here. Everyone walked through
six inches of dust for over six weeks.

Please, America, don’t forget. We said on that day that we would
never forget, and I beg you America, please, never, never forget. This
is hallowed ground here.”

Port Authority Police and FDNY firefighters are seen here gathered beneath this banner.

One of the favorite myths of the intellectually challenged is that of
a “Golden Age” of Islamic peaceful coexistence with Christians and Jews
in Cordoba, Spain. The truth is much more believable. Cordoba’s two
greatest citizens (after Seneca, 4 B.C.- 65 A.D.) were the Arab scholar
Averroes (1126 – 1198) and the Jewish sage and doctor Maimonides
(1135-1204).

Averroes played a major role in codifying Islamic thought and in
bringing Aristotle to the attention of the west. Both Averroes and
Maimonides were expelled from Cordoba by the reactionary fanaticism of
Moors, who despised books. Both lived out their lives in exile.
Maimonides in Egypt, and Averroes in Morocco.

One of the first arguments that someone who thinks they’re really
smart will shoot out is the Cordoba myth. The true story of the hero of
that myth, Averroes, destroys the myth. Besides, as Aayan Hirsi Ali
points out, what good is a myth about 1,000 years ago in Spain when
people are having their heads chopped off and being suicide-bombed
today? It’s academic and lame.

One thing about Islamic jihad is that it’s global. It’s not a middle
eastern problem, it’s not an Israel-Palestinian problem, it’s not a
World Trade Center problem. All those are just fronts in the global
jihad. And one of the nations that has suffered most in the global jihad
throughout history is India.

Hindu human rights activist, native of India, Professor Babu Suseelan:

“I was born in the largest democracy in the world, and we
lost half of our land, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Kashmir, that
were once majority Hindu. Now we lost it and it became muslim majority.
What did the muslims do with the hindus living in their countries? They
slaughtered them. They completely wiped them out. …

I read the Koran. Read Koran if you want to understand
the terroristic doctrine and criminal treatise on the world. Of all the
Koran, there are 164 specific verses instigating directly muslims to go
against the kaffir and the infidel and conduct terrorism to wipe them
out. It is surprising, they claim it is a religious book. But in their
religious book, there is not a single word about love. I cannot
understand in the Koran you read the entire words, you will not see the word ‘love’.
Islamic religion is not a religion of love and compassion it is a
criminal treatise for hostility, anger, violence and terrorism against
infidels.

There were only 10 Mosques in New York City in 1970. There were over
100 in 2001, including 17 in Manhattan. There is no reason to allow
construction of a 15 stories Mosque at Ground Zero. Muslims paid $4.85
million in cash for the property. Islamic leaders have not explained to
the public where the cash came from. It is reported that the funding
came from Saudi Arabia, Malaysia and Iran, the leading promoters of
Islamism around the world.

There are nearly 57 Islamic countries in the world. Is there any
Islamic country where Christians, Jews, Buddhists and Hindus can build
their religious centers?

· Imams are busy issuing Fatwa against writers, journalists and
cartoonists. Why there is no Fatwa issued against Jihadi terrorism?

· If Islam is peace, why hostility, Jihad war, and violence are
taught at Madrasas? Why there is no peace in any Islamic countries?

· Riots invariably take place after the Friday prayers at the
Mosques. Is it not because of the fiery sermons of the Imams based on
the Koran?

· Islam has nothing in common with secularism, pluralism, democracy,
tolerance and Human Rights. Why should we allow Muslims to construct
Mosques to preach hatred against infidels?

· Are you aware more than 98% of terrorists arrested around the world are Muslims? Why?

The Islamic prime Minister of Turkey Erdogan clearly and loudly said
“The Mosques are our barracks, the Domes are helmets, the Minarets are
Bayonets and the faithful are soldiers.” Erdogan’s vision of Islam is
the same as that of Bin- Laden, Colonel Khadafy, Mullah Omar, Imam
Yavalaki, Al-Zwahiri, Ayatollah Khomeini, and the Saudi King which
awarded the Islamic Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan “The King Faisal
International prize for service to Islam.”

The construction of an Islamic barrack in the heart of America is to
train jihadis for the next phase of Islamic invasion. The Islamic
barrack will train the Muslims in the way of Islam. Since the days of
Mohamed, the way of Islam is jihad. Mosques will ensure that newly
converted Muslims become reliable Jihadis.

The issues at stake will certainly affect the heart of American
freedom, democracy, cultural values and tolerance. America is a tolerant
country that allows for the free worship of all its citizens. But our
tolerance has limits. Do we have to tolerate intolerant Islamic ideology
and Muslims who preach intolerant Islam?”

Hindu human rights activists Narain Kataria, Prasad Yalamanchi and
unidentified friend came from Mississippi and Chicago with banners and
flyers highlighting the radical statements of imam Rauf and his jihadist
roots.

Salah Choudhury, himself a moslem, denounces the mosque project and questions if  Imam Rauf is a fraud
and liar who is an apologist for terrorists. Rauf’s statements after
9/11 echo those of Ward Churchill and Bill Ayers who both approved of
the attacks.

“As a believing Muslim, it is hard to see a mosque at
Ground Zero in New York City as anything other than another horror– a
kick on the face to everyone who is still heavy with shock at the tragic
death of 3,000 people killed by Islamist militants during the attack on
9/11. The mosque will cost over US$ 100 million; by now, money is
already being shifted in the fund for its construction. Incidentally, a
major segment of this money is coming from Arab nations, especially
Saudis.

At this time, the largest mosque and cultural center in Manhattan is
The Islamic Cultural Center of New York. This $17 million dollar center
opened on April 15, 1991, just after the First Gulf War ended. Since
September 11th, 2001, a number of controversial statements have came
from at least two of the Center’s leaders, both of them blaming the
Jewish population for the attacks and denying any Muslim involvement.

Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf, who is planning the Islamic Community Center
and mosque near Ground Zero says his critics are bigots, and that the
project will stamp out terrorism — not fan the flames: “We condemn
terrorists,” said Rauf, who is leading the charge to build the Cordoba
House, as it is called. “We recognize it exists in our faith, but we are
committed to eradicate it. We want to rebuild this community. This is
about moderate Muslims who intend to be and want to be part of the
solution.”

However, Rauf is also on record telling CNN, right after the 9/11
attacks, “U.S. policies were an accessory to the crime that happened. We
[the U.S.] have been an accessory to a lot of innocent lives dying in
the world. Osama bin Laden was made in the USA.”

Elsewhere, Rauf has stated that terrorism will end only when the West
acknowledges the harm it has done to Muslims. And that it was
Christians who started mass attacks on civilians.

According to anti-jihadist author, Madeline Brooks, “Rauf has
numerous ties to CAIR, an unindicted co-conspirator in the Department of
Justice funding case brought against Hamas, an openly terrorist
organization. CAIR is also the initiator of numerous cases designed to
intimidate non-Muslims from criticizing aggressive Muslim behavior, and
to use our own legal and democratic presses to undermine and dominate
America, forcing it to become Islamic.

“Rauf calls himself a Sufi, evoking among non-Muslims a “peace and
love” image. But that’s not the whole picture. Sufism has many sides to
it, including the Koranic injunction to spread Islam one way or another,
and it has a rich history of waging war, too. Could it be that one of
the frequently used tools of war, lying to the enemy, explains the
contradiction between Rauf’s image as reconciler of religions and his
sympathies and associations with terrorists?”

Imam Rauf is a permanent trustee of New York’s uptown Islamic
Cultural Center, founded by his Muslim Brotherhood father. Until Sept.
28, 2001, the ICC employed Imam Sheik Muhammad Gemeaha, an Al-Azhar
University envoy to the U.S. One week later, from the “safety” of Egypt,
Gemeaha said “only the Jews” could have perpetrated September 11. If
Americans knew, “they would have done to Jews what Hitler did.” Allah
says Jews “disseminate corruption in the land” and spread “heresy,
homosexuality, alcoholism, and drugs,” he added.

Gemeaha’s successor at ICC was no better: Omar Saleem Abu-Namous saw no “conclusive evidence” proving Muslims responsible.

These pronouncements represent institutional discriminatory precepts
embedded within Sharia law. Rauf’s associates, who operated under his
trusteeship at the 96th Street mosque, uttered them, and not
surprisingly, they mirrored Rauf’s own hateful post-9/11 comments.

In March, Rauf stated in Arabic: “I don’t believe in interfaith dialogue.”

On May 26, Rauf gave an interview to Sa’da Abdul Maksoud on the well-trafficked Hadiyul-Islam website:

Throughout my discussions with contemporary Muslim theologians, it is
clear an Islamic state can be established in more than just a single
form or mold. It can be established through a kingdom or a democracy.
The important issue is to establish the general fundamentals of Sharia
that are required to govern.

Rauf’s statements in Arabic directly contradicted his statements to
English speakers — i.e., that the U.S. Constitution is Sharia-compliant.

Vinny Forras is a highly decorated firefighter from Westchester and
was one of the first responders. On the third day of rescue and recovery
operations he was buried alive with other firefighters by a collapse
under the burning ruins. He was rescued after two hours and I think well
represents his many brothers who perished on 9/11 and since.

“I grew up in Queens and I proudly served in the shadow
of Ground Zero. I was one of the firefighters to answer the call and I
was buried for nearly two hours beneath the rubble with my brothers. And
I’m here to stand before you today and let you know that if I ever say
or do anything that’s considered politically correct, it’s completely by
accident.

We, the people, are still under attack, today. Planes rammed into
these buildings on 9/11, but what’s happening here with this mosque is a
continuation of the attack on all of us. I liken it to the Twilight
Zone, where everything you believe that can’t happen does happen,
especially with this administration. Think about it: we’re standing here
on the 66th anniversary of D-Day when our brave soldiers took a beach
head far away and spilled their blood in defense of America, freedom and
liberty. We, the people, need to have the same courage that our
military had 66 years ago today. And we must say, “No, not on our watch,
are we going to allow this, right here on Ground Zero.”

I look around and I see the photographs of loved ones lost that
appeared in this park when we were here nine years ago. Those families
still die a little bit every single day, at the loss of their loved
ones. How the hell can we justify more madness right here in our own
back yard? I’m telling you now, guys, unless we the people stand up to
this insanity, the attacks will continue on all of us. Every American
must remember what happened here on this pile not so long ago, and to
consider that we have the insane suggestion to build a mosque it is
really a mockery on all of you, every one of you.

The attack continues today. and every single one of you must stand up
for America and let our political leaders, (what a thought: leaders,
these are the leaders we send?) Let’s get them out of here and send the
people that actually represent you.

… nearly two thousand of the first responders have succumbed to their
illnesses that they were exposed here at Ground Zero. The death toll
mounts. I also have to mention my dear son, Michael, who is a serving
U.S. Marine, who joined right after 9/11, and how do you think he and
his Marines, and our soldiers feel around the world, as we even
entertain this madness? Let’s send them a message: No to this mockery,
and God bless America every single day.”

Happy and lucky to be alive. Vinny Forras (from left) with wife

Vinny Forras and his wife Monica Carrera

firefighters and police officers. He is a candidate for U.S. Senate in

I noticed a fair bit of canoodling and open displays of love and
affection going on among these racist teabagger demons. This type of
activity can get you into big trouble under the barbaric sharia law that
is the mega-mosque’s stated purpose to promote in America. Recently, a
Saudi man was sentenced to four months in prison and ninety brutal
lashes for doing in a shopping mall exactly what the couple above are
doing. Just a little kiss in public can lead to death in many moslem
communities in the east, but also in the west.

Band of Mothers founder, Beverly Perlson challenged moslem mothers:

My son did four deployments with the 82nd Airborne. ANd
you know what, my life changed when those muslim fanatics butchered
3,000 Americans. But my life didn’t change as much as Debbie Lee’s life
changed. Her son was the first Navy Seal killed in Iraq. Merrillee
Carlson, her son Michael didn’t come home. There’s over 5,000 brave
American soldiers that gave their lives to keep this kind of nonsense
away from us. We need to fight against this mosque.

You know what, Mayor Bloomberg, President Obama, and every
Republican and Democrat, I’m calling on you to call out the muslims. I’m
sick and tired of appeasing muslim fanaticism, aren’t you?

We need to stop to it, but I’m asking myself as a mother whose son fought through four deployments to keep us safe, I’m
asking myself, where are the muslim mothers, and why aren’t they
denouncing the fact that their little children are blowing up their own
people?
Killing them, blowing them up, and taking our sons and
daughters down with them. Somebody needs to call them out. Yes, let’s
call them out. Where are you, muslim mothers? It’s time for you to
denounce this murderous behavior from the people in your race against my
sons and daughters…

I’d like to send a message to President Obama: two things, President
Obama. In case you didn’t know this, we have lost 440 soldiers since
2009 and I haven’t heard one word about it on the media. I haven’t heard
anything coming from you. You need to thank our troops every day for
keeping you safe.

Nelly Braginskaya of terror and mourning with a heavy Russian accent:

I lost my son and I lost my grandchildren also. Alex was
38 years old. He went for a conference North Tower, 108th floor, and he
never came back. First of all, I want to tell fellow Americans, thank
you very much what you came to support us, to support our city. All
Americans, thank you guys.

Most of our family doesn’t have a grave. Even people who have
grave in cemetery, they get just small piece of body, from mother, from
father, from son, rest of the body is ash and blood, and everything on
the Ground Zero. This is the grave, this is the burial place.

And I don’t want to say what all moslem is terrorist. Of course not.
But 19 people who killed 3000 Americans. They was moslem. And we don’t
want mosque on Ground Zero. They can build any place, but not Ground
Zero. I want our voice can hear. Our mayor, our press, our Governor,
everybody, help me to say Never Mosque on Ground Zero. Never!

I will now tell something else. If moslem want that we respect them,
they have to respect us. This is how respect works. Only two-way.
Somebody respect us, we respect them.  I feel that  this is a slap on
the face, to families, to New York, to all America, to all of our
country. If you think same like I think, let’s say again, NEVER MOSQUE
ON GROUND ZERO. I believe everybody, from God, has permission to be alive. Israel also has permission to be alive.

UPDATE: No Newt!

…… one of Gingrich’s staff had agreed to send a
video message from him to be shown at the Sept. 11 rally.

That has since been canceled.

“The confusion is at least partially our fault,” said Joe
DeSantis, a spokesman for Gingrich. “A staff member mistakenly promised a video
message, though not an appearance. However, we are not sending a video. We
informed them earlier this week.”

DeSantis did not comment on why Gingrich was no longer
planning to send a video message to the rally, and attempts to contact the
organizers of the rally were unsuccessful.

Perhaps political courage is not his strength.

I would give anything to be able to be there at the next rally, if for no other reason than to prove that there are some Canadians who haven’t been sucked into the PC, peace-at-all-cost vortex.
Rallies are going to be held in Australia and Europe, yet I have heard nothing about a scheduled rally in my country – supposedly America’s ‘best friend and ally’. If true, then I cannot overstate the disappointment I feel in my countrymen.

pamela:
the main stream media understands full well that the opposition to this mosque is from all segments of american society, from every stripe and hue, every race, creed, color and religion in america and around the world — and, even muslims have voiced their opposition to the sight of the “cordoba mosque.”
the muslims who oppose it say it is a triumphal mosque, and that it is not appropriate, for the very reasons you oppose the mosque.
the main stream media will not criticize america for its opposition.
instead, they attempt to marginalize the mosque opposition by portraying you in every slanderous way they can, and can attaching every perjorative epithet to you imaginable. what the main stream media does not realize, is that all of this mud slinging at you avails them precisely nothing.
america is not buying it, and, in my judgment, simply doesn’t care about the efforts of the media to slander you.
america knows its own voice, and america knows its voice when it hears it, and in you, pamela geller, and in the courageous stand you have made for america, americans and our values, … , america hears its voice.
they simply don’t care about the bullshit and lies that the main stream media issues forth.
they hear their voice, their beliefs, their concerns about this mosque in your voice, and they are not apologizing to the left & liberal elite’s criticisms of either their beliefs, or of your voice, nor for the fact that they believe the way their believe, or for whom they listen to.
americans are tired of being talked down to by these pinheads on the left. and, they will not abandon your voice, your leadership, for all the “p.c.” in the world.
they are sticking by you, as you stick by you. america has your “6,” pamela geller.

p.s. friends, please look again at the pictures in this very wonderful & powerful post. just look at the pictures. these are people who know why they are against that mosque, and they do not need their opposition to it “legitimized” by the new york times, or the washington post, or by some leftist “talking head” on the television. they know what they believe, and why they hold to it.
and, look at the fellowship among them. they know that they do not all agree about all things amongst them, and they know that amongst them are persons of every religion, of every race and from all parts of the world. truly, this crowd represents the old notion of america as the “great melting pot.”
and, they are determined to be heard on this issue. they know what they think, and why they think it.
their voices will not be stilled, and neither will their activism.
g_d bless america. this mosque will not be built.

Pamela, confidence in the left wing media is at an all-time low. When they try to target you and claim that you are the reason for us rejecting the Ground Zero Mosque, we all know they are lying. Seriously, if 20% of Americans believe their tripe, I would be surprised. We all lived through 9/11. Rich and poor liberal and conservative. We were all there. It is too soon for them to try to change history. Big mistake on their part.

I am proud that I can find myself in one of your photos. My first job out of college was at One Liberty Plaza across from the WTC. When I was hired on as a permanent employee from a temp. I went to the bar of Windows on the World and savored my one drink (it was all I could afford) looked out at the city below and had my Mary Tyler Moore moment. I watched the towers burn from across the river in NJ waiting to hear from my brother who finally got through to my sister in law when the boat that he had fled on reached NJ. My daughter was afraid to go to school the next day to find out which of her friends might have lost someone at the WTC.
I have been back rarely before this rally. Once to witness the site from the viewing stations that were set up. I had to see this for myself and check out that my old building was still standing. Once to watch the twin lights go on.
It was difficult for me to go to this rally…this is one place I still do not want to go to, especially alone. I can’t imagine what it is like for the families. But I will be at the next one at least as long as I can manage it.
Thank you Pam.

There were many images and words on September 11, 2001, that I’ll never forget. Among them are Todd Beamer’s words, “Let’s roll.”
For what it’s worth, I have very, very strong emotional memories of September 11, 2001, and the days that followed, through the end of 2001 or close to it. When I recall from memory or by looking at photos taken during those days, I feel it all over again: that pressing sadness, sympathy, anger – so many emotions, too many to list them all. Even though I knew then that many Americans would allow themselves to forget how overwhelming it was, that it would become just another memory of a bad day like any other bad day, I still don’t know how they’ve relegated their memories of 9/11 to just another bad day. I’m glad that I couldn’t forget even if I tried. I will always remember and never forget 9/11.

Giuliani cleaned up the crime in NYC through his policy of “NO TOLERANCE”. We will clean out the criminals trying to overrun our glorious country by NOT tolerating them. Not only must this mosque not be buile, but no new moaques must be built, and those standing now, besmirching the landscape in our glorious country, must be dismantled and salt sown on the ground where they stood so they never can rise again, as the Romans did when they conquered Carthage. NO TOLERANCE for any Muslim supremist in this country. They offend me. I am offended by the sight of a head scarf, I am offended by the sight of a burka, I am offended by the sight of a lying, deceiving Muslim, always with his hand out, playing with his worry beads. Their mentality and customs came out of a primative desert way of life and has nothing to do with American values and Western Civilization, which evolved out of centuries of progress in the human condition to the high place achieved in this glorious country. Muslims are like worms gnawing away at angels — so the angels have to step on them or be drawn back and down to the level of these worms.

I’m right with you there, AuntieMadder. I’m not a New Yorker, but have spent a fair amount of time there, and had been to the WTC many times. My emotions about that day are as strong now as they ever were. I still cannot believe it’s gone, and all of those people murdered. It was unbelievable seeing things like…holes in the cover over the bandstand, where lots of outdoor entertainment happened. Those holes were from bodies and dismembered parts falling onto the stage. The dichotomy of the image…one of happiness, and the other of utter destruction and death…is almost unfathomable. That day still has me blazing mad. And the mosque is more than a slap in the face. It is pure, unmitigated evil, as far as I’m concerned. The imam and his idiot wife will have their day of reckoning, that is for sure.

a, I live in Texas, Dallas county, far, far away from New York. Still, I remember the day of the nationwide candlelight vigil. I say the “day” of because it was 9pm and dark in the east, but still daylight here at 8pm. At the apartments I lived in then, there were a large number of us who played water volleyball there all summer long and had for many summers before and a few after, too. It was mid-Sept and decidedly the last Sunday of our last water volleyball weekend until the next spring.
At about 10 minutes ’til 8, we got out of the pools and into our coverups. One of the members of our motley crew brought out two large bags filled with votive candles and started passing them around the pool area. At the same time, poolside residents started walking out onto their patios and balconies and the votive candles were tossed up to those of them who didn’t walk out carrying their own candles, until the two bags were emptied.
It was daylight and windy so the candles wouldn’t stay lit and the flames wouldn’t have been seen if they had, but it didn’t matter. At 8pm, a few started singing the national anthem and by “What so proudly we hailed,” the group of at least 50 people, on the ground and on balconies, were singing and holding up unlit candles in the daylight. That image may seem silly, but it was actually very somber and heartfelt, which was evidenced by all of the tears, even on the faces of many of the grown men there. (I’ve never seen so many grown men cry in public, without shame or guile, as I did in Sept of 2001.)
Incidentally, those apartments were almost literally at the end of one of the runways of DFW Airport. Even when that runway wasn’t being used (there were two others that were closer to the terminals), there was a constant rumble that came from the airport. I quit noticing it years before until those three days that the planes were grounded and there was no sound but silence coming from the airport. One of my neighbor-friends (you collect those when you live in the same place for so many years) agreed with me that the silence was eery. When the rumble commenced again, we welcomed it as a small sign of hope that normalcy would one day return to the US. We’re still waiting for it.

Cate, I can’t imagine the horror that 9/11 was and is to New Yorkers and those of you who know NY well. It was and is horror enough for people like me who live clear across the country and have never even visited New York. NY, VA and DC/PA weren’t attacked that day; America was attacked and Americans in all 50 states felt it, too, to varying degrees. That’s why it’s foolish of those who say the Ground Zero Victory Mosque is an issue and decision for New Yorkers and is nobody else’s business. Bullshit. When Americans are murdered on American soil for no reason except that they’re Americans, and visitors to America, too, for no reason except they’re visiting America, it’s the business of all Americans. People of other nations know that.
During that time, I worked for a company in Dallas that had sales offices all over the world and a global customer base, as well. We received letters and emails at our Dallas headquarters from customers and coworkers in Europe, Israel, Africa, Australia, Canada – everywhere, really, except the Islamic Mid East – offering support and letting us know that they, too, were horrified and heartbroken and felt at least a little bit American during those days, too.

The citizens of the US are fed up with Muslims taking advantage of the freedoms in this country that they never would have in the hellholes they left to come here. They build mosques, many of which are breeding grounds for terrorists while flooding our justice system with legal jihad, trying to make every slight or insult a hate crime. Not to mention using our courts to inflict their religious customs on non-Muslims. They capitalize on our freedoms and political correctness to wage their hate-filled “holy war” by murdering soldiers and innocent citizens in cold blood on our own soil, all in the name of their so-called god.

The news of building a mosque at ground zero is just to distract the majority of American moderate people from the criminal act that terry jones is up to. As the 911 is an inside job there is no point in accusing muslims of being killers. And as far as I’m concerned, I’d like to kill terry jones myself for what he is doing. terry jones and his followers are taking america to a war now, and this time I don’t think america would not be hurt. terry jones is the real culprit behind all this. The mosque is not being built at ground zero at all, it’s just a propaganda going on. (just to distract as I’ve mentioned).

Former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich is also on Healthymagination’s advisory board. Gingrich is a new addition. A couple of months ago when I started researching this topic he was not listed. In 2003 Gingrich founded the Center for Health Transformation, a private consulting firm that is a “high-impact collaboration of private and public sector leaders committed to creating a 21st Century Intelligent Health System that saves lives and saves money for all Americans.”
(snip)
…It is apparent that Gingrich’s firm would also stand to make a lot of money if Obama’s Healthcare is made law.

Not only is your attempt to use shame as a tool to control the behaviors of others pathetic, but so is your assumption that Geller and the commenters here are all Christians. Geller and many of the commenters here are Jewish. The rest are Christians, atheists, and agnostics. If memory serves, I think there are even a few Hindus and Buddhists who visit here regularly.
As for me, I was raised Christian, spent about a decade believing I was an atheist, and then spent a few years with Deist beliefs. Now I’m watching the prophesies of the Bible play out before my eyes, leaving me no choice but to believe that’s where The Truth can be found. Emotionally and spiritually, however, I’m just not into it. But what the heck? You want to play, so let’s play.
In response to your remark about how Jesus must feel about this (as if you are in a position to know what He feels), if you’re implying that Jesus expects His followers to tolerate evil, then you’re just as ignorant about the teachings found in the New Testament as you are about the content of the Quran.
Now, get lost. And try not to drop any more monkey droppings as you sail out of here.
